Kuri hugged the envelope to her chest, shaking.
"You can do this." Deku urged, squeezing her hand.
The results had come in yesterday, and the most shocking thing was not Deku's admittance, but the caveat to Kuri and Reiko's admittance.
'You must gain legal emancipation and enter the guardianship of the instructor Shouta Aizawa; Eraserhead."
Reiko grinned reading it again. "Ereaserhead!"
She had been a huge fan ever since Eraserhead had been forced to work with Grams, and had erased her quirk right in front of them.
Kuri had to admit she was a fan too because of that, and knew Aizawa would be able to protect them from Grams' wrath, but who was gonna protect them now?
She received her answer with a reassurance from both Deku and Bakugo, who went in first, standing in front of them protectively.
Standing there, in grace and beauty, was Mana, their older sister. Just like Deku had related to her of before, Mana was alone; Grams was 'conveniently' missing.
Kuri could hardly believe it. Mana was protecting them.
"Hand it over my little sisters." Mana held out her hand for the documents. "Don't worry. She's not here, and she thinks the two of you are at Inari Jinja, training with Koinu. And she'll keep thinking that. For as long as you need."
Mana gave them a crafty smile.
Reiko looked struck with the shock of it all. Mana was helping them?!
Mana, the one who enforced all Gram's rules. The good little miko who played to Grams' every whim. The rightful heiress of Tenshi, scorned by the quirk and passed over for Kuri. Mana. Vengeful, horrible, mean Mana. She was HELPING them.
Both sisters blinked up at their elder as she handed them the paperwork.
Mana knelt and whispered, every word a struggle, in a voice choked by tears. "Find…our…br-br-brother. F-Find H-H-H-Hawks."
For a moment the three sisters shared the same pain, tears falling down their cheeks, then the two youngers embraced their elder for the first time in years, saying "Thank you" and "Goodbye."
