Kuri watched as Bakugo showed off his quirk. Really? A test? And the lowest got expelled?

That seemed…a bit extreme. And this was the guy who was now her guardian? Would he kick her out if she wasn't good enough?

Kuri shuddered, and grabbed the ball. She held it out in front of her with her left hand, then pulled the invisible bow string with her right. "Sacred Arrow! Hit! The! Mark!"

The feather she was aiming with the ball flew forward, and instead of flying into the air, hit one of the targets set up for other tests.

Kuri lowered her arms and touched down to the ground. Ok that was a bit of a misnomer. She never touched the ground. Constantly hovering a centimeter up kept her wings strong.

She returned to her spot by Deku, and realized he seemed really distressed.

"Relax." She put a hand on his shoulder. "You can do this. Gentle touch."

Sometimes words came out without her knowing why. Her clairsentience quirk told her.

Her quirk, clairsentience, or "clear feeling" was a family inheritance quirk. They were all born with wings, and in the wings dwelled the "clair" quirk. Mana had clairvoyance, "clear seeing", Reiko had clairalience, "clear smelling", and Grams had Claircognizance, "clear knowing".

Their mother had had clairaudience, "Clear hearing".

The Clairs allowed them to know information that a normal person couldn't know, using different parts of the body. Obviously Grams was the most powerful, and the hardest to avoid.

She had no idea what Hawks had.

When the heiress, her, was five years old, she had her quirk "bound" to the Lotis. It was like having her wings bound up and letters burned onto them. It was excruciating.

But that's how she had made the arrow fly. She had used Ran-gu, the rune for courage. It manifested in a bow and arrow.

Kuri clapped her hands in joy as Deku managed to the throw the ball and prove himself to Aizawa. So he wasn't going to get expelled after all!
