Summary: Happy couldn't resist a sleeping beauty….especially when it's Charle

Happy had been hoping to present his brand new catch (a rainbow trout) to Charle and this would be the fish that would lead them to happy wedded bliss and as many children as Natsu would have (because Happy once promised to provide Exceed partners to all of Natsu's cool dragon slayer babies). He had dressed it as prettily as he could with one of Lucy's best ribbons and even put a pretty flower on it to dress it up.

Unfortunately though by the time he found Charle she was having a nap of all things! In the middle of the guild! Apparently she, Wendy, and Romeo went on a mission that took all night and morning, and she fell asleep soaking in the sun from the window. Wendy and Romeo were also snoozing in the corner with Laxus guarding over them so someone (like Natsu) won't accidentally squash them in a brawl. Happy instantly dropped the fish at the sight of her. Her cheeks had a faint pink flush on them as she looked so peaceful and serene. She gently nuzzled the warm wood with her nose and snored ever so slightly (not like Natsu's growling snores and Lucy's piggish snort).

Charle was undoubtedly the most beautiful thing Happy had ever seen but a sleeping Charle was even more beautiful.

Happy, unable to resist it any longer, leaned down slowly and finally - finally! - nuzzled his nose against Charle's.

When he pulled back he realised Charle was looking at him in stunned surprise.

There was a very awkward silence as she blinked.

And then he blinked.

And then she blinked again.

And then -

CRACK!

"Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!" Happy wailed childishly as his cheek throbbed painfully. "You're so mean!"

"You're the one that was being a dirty perverted tom-cat! You got what you deserved!" Charle retorted. "Now I know I'm no longer safe to sleep anywhere but in Fairy Hills! Hmmph!" she then flew off haughtily to her charge.

She may have looked back in regret but if she had Happy didn't see it because he was crying to hard over being slapped by the love of his life to notice.

"Honestly," Lily rolled his eyes as Happy flew crying to him, he had no problem comforting Happy (no God knows he would prefer being left alone) but he had no sympathy for his childish friend in this case. "What did you expect?"

"B-b-b-but," Happy stammered between tears, "it worked for Natsu with Lucy!"

"WHAT?!"

The rest of Happy's day totally sucked as he was repeatedly lectured (by Erza, Master, Lucy, etc.) about personal space and why he shouldn't invade it. And then much later shouted at by both Natsu and Lucy for blabbing their personal life in Mira's hearing.
