It was a normal evening at Sabertooth and Sting, Rogue, Lector, and Frosch were considering what to do for dinner when Yukino appeared at the top of the stairs. All four of their jaws dropped to the ground (though Frosch did instantly get distracted by a pretty butterfly) at the sight of their main (okay, only,) female member as she made her way down the stairs.
She was wearing a dress they never thought they would see her in. a little black one with a low cut front, and a red rose was tucked behind her ear which, coupled with the dress, seemed to bring out a…a…well sexier beauty in her that they never once thought they would see.
"Y-Yukino!" Sting stammered. "You look….erm nice."
"Fro thinks so too Sama!"
Nice was an understatement but at least Sting was able to say something. Rogue had just turned a bright red and had taken a great interest in his shoes.
"Thank you, Sting-sama," Yukino smiled gently. "Thank you, Frosch-sama."
"Yukino-san," Rufus appeared with his usual flourish and bowed in a gentlemanly manner, "I do not recall a memory where you are dressed so ravishingly beautiful. What is the occasion?"
Yukino's cheeks were almost as red as the rose in her hair. "I have a date!" she blurted out.
Sting and Rogue felt like they lost their souls. Yukino had a date? Their precious guild member has a date? Who dared besmirch their innocent and pure friend? Who thought they could take Yukino out on a date without going through them?
"WHO WITH?!" They bothered roared furiously.
Yukino squeaked and jumped away from them, startled from their sudden switch of odd silence to deafening anger.
"Erm…."
"Yo."
Sting and Rogue turned round to see a ginger haired man in a black suit and a pair of sunglasses. The hair on the back of their necks rose as the mere sight of him, playboy, they thought in disgusted unison.
"Ah!" Yukino blushed. "Loke-sama, ano, I mean, Leo-sama, oh dear….what do I call you?"
"Anything you wish, my lady," Loke or Leo said in a similar manner to Rufus, only he embellished his bow by taking Yukino's hand and kissing her knuckles. Sting and Rogue growled dangerously at that. "You are after all the most beautiful star in this dark, dank, universe. You light up everything with the sparkle in your eyes and the softness of your smile. You could call me a twat and I will still find it a great honour."
"I would like to call you a twat," Sting grumbled.
"Twat is too nice," Rogue mumbled. "What would be more accurate is a-"
And he then let out a string of very rude words that when Frosch repeats them later he will threaten to wash his mouth out with soap.
"Where….where are we going, Loke-sama?" Yukino asked shyly as Loke continued to press kisses on her hand and moving up her arm slowly but steadily.
"Anywhere my lady wishes," Loke said gallantly, "we can get a meal in the best restaurant, or take a moonlight stroll in which the moon's beams shall surely highlight your beauty, or we could go dancing, or even," he lowered his voice to a deep husky tone, "we could just go upstairs to your room."
Yukino didn't even have a chance to stammer a reply when Sting and Rogue suddenly snapped; "LIKE HELL YOU ARE!" they screamed as they moved in unity and punched Loke so hard that he soared right out of the building via the roof until he disappeared into a twinkle.
"Ah….." Yukino looked horrified. "Ah…."
"No need to thank us, Yukino," Sting said smugly, "just doing our duty to protect our guild members."
"You….." Yukino began to tremble a little. "You….just hit Lucy-sama's spirit!"
"You what?" Sting asked dumbfounded.
"I promised to take good care of him while fulfilling his request!" Yukino wailed. "Now Lucy-sama will kill me for letting him get hurt!"
Both Sting and Rogue stiffened at that. "It's just Lucy," Sting started to sweat, "I mean she's nice, right?"
"Y-Yeah," Rogue agreed in a stutter, "she isn't significantly strong or terrifying like Gajeel-kun."
"Or Natsu-san."
"Or Erza-san."
"So we'll be fine," Sting bit his lip nervously, "right?"
"Of course!" Rogue said in a falsely cheerful voice. "Nothing to worry about!"
And then the two of them laughed far too boisterously for it to be real (causing the others around them to sweat-drop. Even Frosch wasn't convinced it was a real laugh) and went to bed where they got absolutely no sleep in their worry about the next day….
BANG!
Several members of Sabertooth, who were actually morning people (so about five of them while everyone else was still in bed), jumped out of the skins at the door to their guild building was broken down by a swift kick.
"All right," Lucy growled ferociously, a dark, evil aura of pure fury seemed to be leaking out of her, "which one of you bastards hurt my spirit?!"
"EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEK!" Both Rogue and Sting screamed as they clung to one another. "IT WAS HIM!" they both then instantly blamed the other as they leaped apart and pointed.
Lucy raised an unimpressed eyebrow. "Fine then," she cracked her knuckles, "I'll just kill you both."
It was two excruciating hours until Lucy was finally finished. Broken, bruised, and seeing stars, both Sting and Rogue agreed that it didn't matter which member it was – any Fairy Tail member was terrifying.
(Which was probably why they broke down into terrified tears when Wendy surprised them from behind with a tap on their shoulder two days later.)
