I expect it to be a little difficult to make cookies and talk at the same time, but I'm gonna try because there's a lot of stuff I wanna tell you about.

Earlier today, I was flipping through TV channels and came across a Twelve Is Midnight video. I assumed the song was brand new because I had never heard it before. But then I looked it up and it turned out to be eight months old. That's when I realized I haven't listened to their music or anything in like a year. I somehow stopped being a Twelve Is Midnight fan without even noticing.

The more and more differences I find between myself and the original Sid, the more I think I shouldn't be a Sid at all. I'm tempted to use my new invention on myself. It's called the RP1, named after Ready Player One, a book about people who use VR goggles to make the world be whatever they want. I was in the mood for a retro aesthetic when I designed it, so I gave it a white, silver, and light blue color scheme to match the Wii.

However, thinking about if I should go through with using it on myself can wait. I've got something more important to tell you about. A few days ago, Adelaide got a letter from the Sinnoh Pokémon League, inviting her to go on a journey there. Mom and Dad of course wouldn't let her go at first, but they finally took it easy on her after I told her about the curse and she agreed to try not to have too much fun. On top of that, her hair changed color. It's a dark blue now. Mine's still brown, so I'm happy for her that something happened to her before me. I'm also happy she's finally getting permission to do something she's gonna love, of course.

The reason I'm making cookies is because I got a text from my dad that said Adelaide is gonna stop by for a visit with her soccer buddies. Oh, there's another difference. The real Adelaide isn't a soccer player. Just like me, my athlete sister is so different from her original counterpart that I feel it doesn't even make sense for them to have any similarities at all. We should probably use the RP1 on her too, as well as everybody else I know except Two and Robin.

Man, I wish we didn't know we're fictional characters. That way, I wouldn't know who came first and I would think of us and our original counterparts as simply two sets of people who happen to have a lot of similarities. Instead, I feel ashamed for being too different and it makes me wish I was an original character instead of a different interpretation of a character that already existed. You real people have it so lucky!

When Ada gets here, I'm gonna ask her what her thoughts on this are. But the problem is that she's never watched The Casagrandes before, so she doesn't know anything about the original Adelaide. As soon as I get these cookies in the oven, I'm gonna go outside and see if I can get that Adelaide here. Once my Adelaide arrives, I'm gonna introduce them to each other.

In the mean time, I'd like to tell you about the people Adelaide plays soccer with. Too bad I don't know anything about them.

Anyway, the cookies are in the oven now, so it's off to the backyard! I've got the RP1 with me, now I just need an unimportant inanimate object that I can turn into a portal. Luckily, the RP1's other function fits this situation perfectly. I can use it to print a graham cracker and then use it again to turn that graham cracker into a portal to the original Adelaide's universe.

Let's begin. I've thrown a freshly printed graham cracker shaped like Maryland on the ground, put the RP1 over my eyes, and shot the graham cracker with it. It's a portal now. I'm looking through it and I see Yoshi from Mario. He's holding some Uno cards and eating a turkey sandwich. There's also a guy with red hair and a sword. I've seen him somewhere before. I wish I could remember his name. I think it's Ron, or Troy, or something like that. "Did you know when Sakurai put me in Melee, he didn't know what my personality was, so he had to guess and got it wrong?" he asks Yoshi. What a coincidence he said that because the exact same thing happened to my Adelaide. Well, not the EXACT same thing. She wasn't put in Melee, whatever that means.

I've clearly turned the cracker into a portal to the wrong universe. I had a feeling that would happen. Better try again. After shooting it with the RP1 again, I look through the new portal it's been turned into. This time, I see what appears to be what I actually wanted. I just realized I have no way to prove it's the original Adelaide's universe, but this Adelaide will most likely be close enough. "Hello in there," I say to Adelaide while waving at her.

"Sid?" she says, mistaking me for her sister. I assume that, anyway. This could be a universe where Sid's her cousin, or neighbor, or brother, or anything else. Who knows? "Wha- wha- what am I looking at?" she asks. I hope she's just confused, not frightened.

"You might have a hard time understanding this, so sorry in advanced for that, but I'm not the Sid you know," I explain to her. "I live in an alternate universe. My Adelaide is gonna be here soon and I was hoping I could introduce you to her," I say while realizing how absurd it sounds. This nonsense is perfectly normal to us here in the Y Universe, so it's hard to remember that other people will find it weird. The moral of the story? Avoid getting used to things.

"Okay!" the Adelaide I'm not related to shouts. She sounds excited. "That sounds cool," she adds while reaching out for my hand. She changed her tune surprisingly fast. Not that I'm complaining. And I just heard the doorbell, which probably means Adelaide and her friends are here! I love how conveniently everything is going!

"You wait right here and I'll be right back," I say to Adelaide after I help her through the portal. Boy, I just realized that there's gonna be two people with the same name here now. I hope that doesn't get confusing.

I'm now running through the house to get to the door! This is so exciting! I hate when things are kept secret, so it's gonna feel so good to finally let my sister know what the original version of herself is like! I'm now at the door and opened it! I'm greeted by four soccer balls being kicked at me, knocking me to the floor. My prediction was right! I don't even mind the pain because I love seeing my little sister get enthusiastic about something! Such a nice change over seeing her grumpy all the time! "SOCCER!" she shouts while sliding into the house on her knees and holding her fists up in the air.

"We were told there were cookies," one of the friends says while looking down at me. "Direct me to them at once," he commands.

"They're not ready yet, but that's okay because there's something I'd like to do before we eat them anyway," I explain while standing back up. "Great to see you again, Bloodsucker 3000," I say while hugging my sister. Her nickname makes me feel uncomfortable, but it's what she prefers to be called when around her soccer buddies. "You excited to go to Sinnoh tomorrow?" I ask. Her league invitation really came at the perfect time for me. If I still lived at home, I would have to miss her while she's away. But since I always miss her anyway, that doesn't matter.

"Of course I am. That was a pretty dumb question, sis," she answers, which is fair. There's no need to ask a question when you already know the answer. "So what's this thing you wanna do?" she asks. See? She doesn't know what the thing is yet, so it makes sense to ask that question.

"Follow me and I'll show you," I say while turning around. I'm now heading for the backyard and the four soccer players are right behind me. "Bloodsucker 3000, meet who I believe is the original version of yourself," I say once we make it to the yard.

"Haha! Her hair still hasn't changed color!" my sister says, completely unfazed by the fact there's another her here. "LOSER!" she shouts mockingly with her finger and her thumb in the shape of an L on her forehead.

"What's she talking about? And why does she have blue hair?" the other Adelaide asks.

"It's just something that's a part of this universe but not yours. Don't worry about it," I answer. "Why don't you tell my sister a little bit about yourself?"

"Okay, sure," she says. She's now explaining a bunch of details that I'll bet you already know, so I'm gonna skip over this part. I hope she didn't bring her animal with her. If my Adelaide finds out the original her got to have an animal long before our parents ever let her have a Pokémon, she'll be so jealous and mad! In fact, I just realized I don't think Mom and Dad ever said she could have a Pokémon now. It's gonna be pretty difficult to go on a journey in Sinnoh that way, so I better ask them about it later.

"Okay, so you seem pretty much just like me except for the brown hair," my sister comments once her counterpart is finished talking. She's exaggerating. I was listening to the other her while I was talking to you and she never mentioned anything about playing soccer or any of the other big differences between the two of them. Oh-no. Froggy 2 just jumped through the portal and into the other Adelaide's hands. "What is that?" my sister asks. This can't be good.

"Froggy 2," answers her counterpart.

"What does that mean? And what else is he?" my Adelaide asks.

"It's his name. And I meant 2 the number," clarifies our guest. "He's my pet," she adds, but I have no idea what she's talking about.

"What's a pet?" asks my sister. The other Adelaide then turns around without saying anything and goes back through the portal to her universe. The fact Ada doesn't know that word she used must've scared her off. I don't blame her. Like I said, it can be hard for us to remember that our universe is weird. "What you bring her here for?" Adelaide asks me after the portal disappears.

To be honest, I'm not sure if even I knew what my plan here was. I guess I wanted Ada to be able to make an informed decision when I ask her about using the RP1 on ourselves, so she needed to know about what makes her different from the original. But I didn't need to bring the original here for her to be able to learn that. Maybe I just wanted an excuse to be able to see if I can make portals.

"On second thought, never mind," Adelaide says to me. "I came here to ask you to help me with a problem, so let's get on with that," she continues.

Yes! I'm gonna love this! "Your big sister's here to help. Just name it," I say while sitting down.

"After Ronnie Anne's stupid half sister moved in, we formed a rivalry with each other. I hate to admit this, but I got jealous. Now that I'm gonna be in Sinnoh, Ronnie Anne's half sister is gonna get to spend way more time with her than I will. I'm worried Ronnie Anne's gonna stop caring about me," Ada explains. "What should I do?" she asks.

I take back what I said. I do not like this at all. Luckily, I have the perfect answer already. "Stop being friends with Ronnie Anne immediately because she is a horrible person who deserves absolutely zero companionship. There. Problem solved," I happily say. That is the correct advice to give without a doubt and this topic shall not be explored any further. "Now let's go lighten the mood with some cookies!" I shout even though they aren't done yet.

I'm sure Adelaide isn't mad at me or irritated at all!
