Summary: AU of the recent episode. What if the spell to get rid of Gray's shame didn't wear off? Well, for one thing Juvia will be a very happy mage….

Pairings: Gray/Lucy friendship, Gray/Juvia, Juvia/Lucy friendship, sort of implied Elfman/Evergreen, and lots and lots of other friendship feels.

YouTube Prompt: A Gray/Juvia video to 'Kiss the Rain' by Billie Myers.

Once everyone had caught sight of one another there was a huge sigh of relief that could be heard from the other side of the cave, and then suddenly everyone flung themselves into celebratory hugs and slaps on the back. They had finally defeated and un-corrupted Lucy's spirits and they were in need of a good celebration after the hell they've all be through.

Gray moved from almost being concussed by Erza to hug Lucy. "Hey," Lucy happily returned the hug. "You're being….oddly affectionate….." Gray was never the one for hugs even when it was life or death, he just usually awkwardly patted someone on the back while they hugged him. "Oh my God!" Lucy blurted out alarmed. "What the hell did you do to my apartment?!"

"Nothing!" Gray protested a little too quickly (may Lucy never find the broken shards of a picture frame he hid under her sofa). "I've just had my sense of shame removed which means-"

"Hang on!" Lucy interrupted horrified. "How is hugging a shameful thing?!"

"Some people think hugs are unmanly which is unmanly!" Elfman explained on Gray's behalf. "Which is stupid because HUGGING IS THE MANLIEST THING IN THE WORLD!"

Several people sweat-dropped at that and a couple, Mira included, began to edge away from the passionate Elfman, half wishing that Evergreen was here just to shut him up.

"Anyway," Gray said eager to move on from that awkward moment. "I am now no longer ashamed with my affections anymore. I feel quite free to hug you once more."

Lucy squeaked when Gray pulled her in for another affectionate (and purely platonic) hug. It wasn't because she was suddenly finding a lot of naked chest in her face (though that it did have something to do with her being a little weirded out) but because there was a dark, evil, blue aura growing rapidly and furiously the longer Gray held onto her.

"Love Rival!" Juvia growled.

Gray abruptly let Lucy go and turned quickly to face the blue-haired girl. "Juvia!" he cried out gleefully.

"Ah!" Juvia blushed, ashamed that Gray had caught her jealousy, "Gray-sama! Juvia was merely-"

She squeaked when Gray suddenly grabbed her hand and pulled her towards him. "Juvia," he said much more seriously, "I want you to know now that Cancer has freed my heart from all its shame-"

"Oh so we have Lucy's spirit to thank for Gray's weirdness!" Natsu said loudly. "Should have known, Lucy's weirdness is contagious."

Lucy would have punched Natsu for that comment but Erza had beaten her too it, her fist sunk easily into the Dragon Slayer's stomach which caused Natsu to fall on his knees with a groan. "Quiet!" Erza hissed. "I want to hear what Gray has to say to Juvia!" she then clasped her hands and watched the couple as starry-eyed as Mira was.

They both shipped Gray and Juvia with a burning passion.

"- that I have been able to actually be in touch with my feelings and show them properly, actually speak them out loud without embarrassment," Gray continued as if there hadn't been a mini-drama going on behind him. "Juvia…."

"Yes, Gray-sama?" Juvia asked eagerly.

Gray looked a little shy at that point (which was a great relief to many because they were beginning to think Cancer might have turned Gray into some sort of out of character weirdo) and then mumbled; "You're the most important person in my life. I….well," he ran a hand through his hair nervously, "really like you and would very much like to go on a date with you."

"Oh Gray-sama!" Juvia wobbled, almost fainting out of sheer joy, "Juvia would be honoured to go on a date with Gray-sama!"

"Awesome!"

Gray grinned a grin almost worthy of Natsu's gigantic ones as he then suddenly twirled Juvia before he clutched her to his chest and did a quick foxtrot which then suddenly turned into a wild waltz mashed with a silly tango as he bent Juvia back in one arm, twirled her again, and danced her across the cave as if it was a ballroom rather than a dank, dingy, cave that held a strange parallel spirit world.

Everyone else just watched this with their jaws dropping to the floor.

They have never seen Gray look so….so….so carefree and happy.

"WHY THE HELL IS GRAY DANCING?!" Natsu freaked out. "THIS ISN'T NATRUAL AT ALL!"

"I AGREE!" Happy wailed. "THE WORLD MUST BE ENDING!"

"Honestly," Charle rolled her eyes at that.

"WILL YOU GUYS SHUT UP?!" Erza roared furiously. "YOU'RE RUINING WHAT IS PROBABLY THE MOST ROMANTIC MOMENT I HAVE EVER WITNESSED!"

Lucy winced at that. If this, slightly disturbing because it was unnatural for Gray to be so giddy, awkward moment was the most romantic thing Erza had witnessed then Lucy really felt sorry for the redhead.

Especially since this moment was currently being cheapened as Elfman and Gajeel were giving money to Cana, having obviously lost a bet on Gray and Juvia.

Lucy did not point this out, however, as she was suddenly crushed in a strangle hold by a cheerful (if slightly sobbing out of joy) Juvia. "Juvia thanks Love Rival and her spirit Cancer-sama!" Juvia squealed in Lucy's ear. "Juvia has never been happier now than Gray-sama has lost his sense of shame and can now openly express the feelings Juvia always knew he had for her. This is the happiest day of Juvia's life, thank you!"

"Y-y-you're welcome!" Lucy gasped. "Juvia I can't breathe!"

Lucy was fortunately saved by Gray who once again swept Juvia off her feet and was dancing with her once again.

"CAN'T ANYONE ELSE SEE THIS AIN'T NATURAL?!"

For once, Lucy totally agreed with Natsu…..but it was probably wise not to say this with Juvia in hearing distance.
