Bobbi was looking at herself in the mirror at Jemma's apartment, fussing over her hair; it was Wednesday, and she's supposed to be meeting Daisy in an hour. Over the last week Daisy has been acting warmer towards her, but she was still quiet. Hopefully things would change soon, and maybe Daisy wanted out of Hydra, Bobbi really hoped so.

"Relax Bobbi, you look good, where is it you are going?" Jemma asked. When Bobbi had informed Coulson, May, and Jemma about her date, almost a week ago, Jemma had been happy for her. Coulson and May just told her to be careful and asked where they were going. Bobbi said she didn't know, and that Daisy wouldn't tell her, only that it was within walking distance of the office.

"I don't know, why am I nervous?" Bobbi said.

"Bobbi, you are going on a date with your soulmate, of course you are nervous," Jemma said. Bobbi didn't say anything, just looked at the mirror again, she wore dark pants, a nice top, and a leather jacket. She didn't know what Daisy had planned and hoped that what she was wearing was good enough.

"You better go, or you will be late," Jemma said, Bobbi then said goodbye to Jemma, and texted Coulson and May that she was going now. They were quick to reply, Coulson's good luck and be careful, and May's keep your eyes open.

When she arrived at the front door to the office building, five minutes early, she didn't see Daisy. There were still lights on in the building, but she already knew that Hydra worked 24/7, did Daisy work late today?

Suddenly Daisy was by her side, "Are you ready?" she asked.

Bobbi was surprised she hadn't noticed her approaching or arriving.

She must be well trained, to sneak up on me, Bobbi thought.

"Yes, lead the way," Bobbi said, following Daisy.

I really need to keep a closer eye on her, Bobbi thought.

After walking about ten minutes Daisy walked down an alleyway, Bobbi stopped, and Daisy noticed, "Something wrong?" Daisy asked.

"No, it's just where are we going?" Bobbi asked.

"I know a little restaurant down this way, they are small and don't ask questions, not many people know about the place," Daisy said.

"Okay," Bobbi said, and started to walk again. She didn't want to alert Daisy that she was wary of her and where she was taking her, or that she was scared she had been made and Daisy was playing with her.

But soon they came to a small restaurant that looked more like a diner than a restaurant, but Bobbi didn't say anything about it.

"It's just the outside that looks like this," Daisy informed her, and when they went inside, Daisy had been right, it looked way nicer inside than outside.

They sat down in a booth, soon a waitress came over with two menus, "Good evening, my name is Jessy, and I will be your waitress tonight. Here are the menus, and I will be back in a few minutes to take your orders," Jessy said, before walking over to another table.

"Do you recommend anything?" Bobbi asked.

"I like their chicken sandwich, they have incredibly good burgers, their salad is also very good, the only thing I would stay away from is their chili basically," Daisy answered.

"Okay, so no chili," Bobbi said.

Jessy came back, "Are you ready to order?" She asked with a smile.

"I would like the Caesar salad and an iced tea," Daisy said, smiling back, and handing over the menu to Jessy.

"I would like the salmon and also an iced tea," Bobbi said, also handing the menu over, Jessy nodded and told them their drinks would be there soon and left.

"They make it themselves," Daisy said.

"What?" Bobbi asked.

"The iced tea," Daisy answered.

"Oh," Bobbi said.

There was an awkward silence until Jessy came back with their drinks; Bobbi nodded her thanks, while Daisy just took a sip of her drink.

Weird, she was so polite before, Bobbi mentally shook her head. Daisy had always been that, one minute she is nice and polite, the next she is scary and rude.

The food came shortly after, Daisy didn't talk much while they ate, "How did you find this place?" Bobbi asked, when they were almost done eating.

Daisy looked up and looked at her like she had forgotten that Bobbi was even there, "I was just walking around one day and stumbled upon it," Daisy said with a shrug.

Bobbi was about to say something when Daisy's phone started to ring.

"Johnson," Daisy said into the phone. "Understood, I will be there soon," Daisy said to the person on the other side before hanging up. "I have to go, but this was nice, we can do it again another time, maybe you can pick the place?" Daisy said, standing up and pulling money out of her jacket.

"Yeah, we can do that, I think I know just the place," Bobbi said, watching Daisy walk out of the door, Jessy came over just then.

"Was everything to your liking?" She asked.

"Yes, it tasted amazing, thank you," Bobbi said, she then paid and left too.

Bobbi walked into Jemma's apartment half an hour later, "How did it go?" Jemma asked excitedly,

"I think it went well," Bobbi said.

"What do you mean you think?" Jemma asked.

"Well, everything was fine at first, but then she did like a 180 and was called back into work," Bobbi said.

"What do you mean?" Jemma asked.

"We were having a nice time at the beginning, and she was nice and calm to be around, then suddenly she became like a different person, she was a little rude to our waitress, and then suddenly she got quiet. When I said something to her, she looked like she had forgotten I was even there," Bobbi said with a frustrated sigh.

"That does sound weird," Jemma said with a frown.

"I don't know what to do, I can already feel the bond between us, but she doesn't seem to notice it," Bobbi said, sitting down on the couch, Jemma came over and sat down beside Bobbi.

The small holocube started to buzz, signaling that Coulson and May wanted an update, Jemma got up and turned it on.

"Simmons, Morse, how did it go?" Coulson said.

Bobbi told them what she had told Jemma, Coulson and May shared a look.

"We have been talking on our end, would it be possible to get her to shift side? I know we agreed in the beginning that we wouldn't go that route, but it is starting to get dangerous on your end. We are getting some disturbing reports from other agents, and we will probably have to pull you out soon," Coulson said.

"Yeah, I don't know, maybe. I can't believe she is a bad person, when we are alone she is so different," Bobbi said.

They ended the call after Jemma informed them that the project she had mentioned before was moving ahead in the next few days, but she still didn't know much more about it.

The next day Bobbi walked into the office that she and Daisy had been working out of only to find it cleared, she was about to go searching for Daisy when her work phone beeped.

It was Chief Adams, ordering her to her office.

When she arrived, Chief Adams told her to sit down.

"You are probably wondering why the office you and Agent Johnson were working in is empty?" she asked.

"A little ma'am," Bobbi answered.

"Johnson got it done last night before she was sent on a mission, so you can go back to your normal duties," Adams told her.

"Understood," Bobbi said, Adams then dismissed her.

Why hadn't Daisy said anything last night about finishing the vetting, when they were out? There couldn't have been much time from her being called in to her leaving. This mission had gotten complicated a long time ago, and now it was even more complicated, since she had decided to at least try to get Daisy out of Hydra and maybe into SHIELD. She had slept on it, and yes, she wanted her soulmate on the same side as her, call her selfish.

Now though she was making her rounds down to the labs, she needed to check on Jemma. When she walked through the door she saw Jemma talking to Bakshi and Whitehall.

Jemma looked uncomfortable with the two men in front of her, but she was talking at least.

Bobbi came a little closer.

"Thank you, Agent Simmons, send everything you have to me," Whitehall said, not even waiting for Simmons to respond before walking away. He gave Bobbi a small nod that she returned, while Bakshi ignored her, and she didn't mind that.

After the men were gone, Jemma relaxed, and Bobbi went over to her and put a hand on her shoulder.

"Did Daisy say anything to you?" Jemma asked Bobbi.

"No, she didn't, but what did they want?" Bobbi asked.

"All my work on that project I was trying to figure out," Jemma said.

"Have you figured it out?" Bobbi asked.

"I'll tell you later," Jemma said, Bobbi nodded, knowing that Jemma needed to gather herself right now.

When they returned to Jemma's apartment, they called Coulson and May, and told them what had happened.

"Simmons, do you know what the project was that you were working on?" Coulson asked.

"I have an idea and it's not good, do you remember Chan Ho Yin?" Jemma asked.

"The man that could control fire?" May asked.

"Yes him, I think that HYDRA wants to enhance someone with his gift," Jemma said. Bobbi didn't know who the man was, but someone working for HYDRA with literal fire power, wasn't good.

And with a look at Coulson and May, she could see they were worried too.
