Summary: Gajeel takes advantage of being a cute, fluffy, animal….

Pairings: Gajeel/Levy.

YouTube Prompt: crack-ish Exceed tribute to 'You Can Fly' from Disney's Peter Pan.

Levy didn't know how it happened one minute she was enjoying her victory against Capricorn (and trying to not die of embarrassment from having admitted her feeling about him), and then the next she was in the middle of some woods.

Levy gulped slightly, sincerely hoping she wasn't going to bump into one of Lu-Chan's evil spirits. She loved Lu-Chan very much but their friendship was not worth being tortured into admitting your feelings on live television and then being dragged into the woods for some more twisted games….

Something rustled in the bushes, Levy swallowed, grabbed hold of her pen very tightly, and slowly crept towards the bush with a rope spell on the tip of her tongue when –

"EEK!"

Something brown and furry leaped out and instead of using her magic to kick its little arse, Levy threw her hands to cover her face, dropping her pen, and screamed.

(Don't tell anyone. She's not usually this much of a wimp and if Gajeel ever knew this happened he would never let her live it down….)

When there had been no throat tearing or scratching or biting or anything painful and terrifying occurring, Levy squinted behind her hands and caught sight of something simply adorable.

She blinked and took a deep breath before she dropped her hands and looked properly. "Oh my God!" she squealed quietly as she took in the sight of a weird, grumpy, but sweet looking woodland creature. Her heart melted instantly as she took in its mane of wild shaggy black hair, grumpy, sour, expression, and fluffy brown tail. "What a cute, weird, squirrel!"

The Squirrel looked offended but Levy was cooing too much to notice. "Hello gorgeous," she murmured softly as she reached out to pet it. Unlike most animals it didn't warily sniff her hand before allowing her to touch it, instead it suddenly jumped onto her hand, ran up her arm, and jumped up and down on her shoulder as it squeaked furiously.

Levy couldn't help but giggle.

"Oh how lovely you are!" she said as she petted its hair. The Squirrel reluctantly leaned into her touch and purred slightly. How odd, she didn't think Squirrels could purr at all! "I always wanted a pet…."

The Squirrel shot her an irritated look but she didn't care. Levy found her new life-time companion and she wanted to hug it, so without a second thought she grabbed hold of the grumpy Squirrel carefully but swift and clasped it against her non-existent breasts (it still annoyed her that she had the smallest pair out of all the girls in the guild, she had no doubt when Wendy finally finished growing she'll be bigger than Levy too) which the Squirrel obviously didn't mind about as it snuggled into her chest and nuzzled her affectionately in return.

"Gihihihihihi!"

Levy's eyes almost popped out as she realised that very familiar laugh came from the Squirrel! "Gajeel!" she screamed as she reacted instantly by flinging the Squirrel as far away as possible.

Hours later when the trouble with Lucy's spirits finally resolved itself, Natsu couldn't help but stare at Gajeel's oddly bruised face. "What the hell happened to you?" he hooted. "Did one of Lucy's spirits throw you into a tree?"

"No!" Gajeel spat out. "I don't want to talk about it," he added with a bark.

"He got thrown into a tree," Levy sniffed haughtily, "for being a pervert."

"I said I didn't want to talk about it!"

"Well tough! I'm going to tell everyone what a perverted squirrel you are!"

"Perverted squirrel?" Natsu blinked stupidly and then whatever innocent that action created melted instantly as he smirked. "Levy thinks you're a cute fluffy woodland creature?"£

"Oh shut up!"
