The warthog and rhino charged at them. Donnie made the purple dimension opener his priority, while Ming tried not to get her head bashed in. After all, she may have been a ninja with extra magic on the side, but she was still much smaller than any of these mutants. All it took was for somebody to get thrown in her direction to crush her.
As the mutants tussled, Raph somehow threw the rhino across the plane, then went to help Mikey and Leo with the warthog. Ming noticed the rhino step into a tank that was chained down in the plane.
He wouldn't be insane enough to shoot inside the plane, would he?!
"Guys! GUYS, LOOK OUT!" Ming screamed, as the rhino started shooting. She barely avoided being shot herself.
The turtles evaded the bullets, but the plane was destroyed. Everybody glared at the rhino, even the warthog.
"Dude! seriously?" The warthog demanded.
The rhino raised his hands in surrender. "Yep, that's my bad, I got a little carried away." He admitted.
Ming wanted to snap at him, but she was distracted by the plane's rapid descension. Donnie hurried to the front of the plane, yelling something about levelling it. In the meantime, the turtles and the two mutant goons kept tussling over the portal piece, Ming trying to help but mostly getting in the way. At one point, half the plane got ripped away. The rhino and warthog flew out, along with several suitcases, the portal piece, and Raphael.
The plane finally crashed into the river below them, tearing itself to pieces and throwing all of its occupants into the raging water, including Ming, who, for all her powers and strengths, had one fatal weakness- she couldn't swim. She flailed helplessly, watching Mikey and Leo swim up to the surface. They were slowly being pushed from a slow and steady river to quick rapids.
Ming flailed her limbs more, until she felt somebody grab her shirt and drag her to the surface, helping her grab on to a piece of plane carnage.
"Th- thanks Mikey-" Ming choked.
"Everybody okay?" Leo asked.
"I'm good!" Donnie called.
"We're good!" Mikey and Ming responded.
"Where's Raph?" Donnie asked, looking around.
Ming noticed him quickly, sitting on the bank, kissing the ground like it was the most beautiful thing he'd ever seen.
Before she could laugh at her brother, Ming was thrown from her temporary raft by the tank resurfacing, with the warthog and rhino in it. The warthog bellyflopped into the water, tussling Leo over the piece of the portal opener, while the rhino nearly shot Donnie with his tank, which Donn barely avoided thanks to Raph.
Ming knowing she couldn't be any help retrieving the piece anyway, tried to stay alive. The rapid flowing water was full of large rocks and plane carnage. She just needed a solid grip on one thing to keep her head above water.
By the time Ming managed to grab a hold onto something solid, she realized too late it was the tread of the tank. She felt somebody drag her coughing and choking out of the water. That somebody wasn't any of the turtles.
"Byeeee turtles!" The warthog yelled, holding up Ming by her shirt collar. Her eyesight cleared quickly enough to see the waterfall her brothers were floating towards.
"No- Guys! BEHIND YOU!" She screamed, too late, watching in horror as they were dragged over the cliff edge by the powerful current. "No! NO! Donnie! Mikey! LEO! RAPHAEL!"
The last horrific screams of their terrified sister echoed through the air, well over the gushing and gurgling sounds of the waterfall. Raph looked back up at the top.
"They have her." Mikey whimpered. "What are we going to do now? They have Ming!"
"And the teleportation device." Leo sighed.
"SCREW THE DEVICE! THEY HAVE MING!" Mikey shouted angrily. How could his brother be worried about the stupid portal opening thingy? Ming was tough, but she couldn't fight both those mutants on her own! Especially not when all they had to was drop her back into the river and she would drown.
Donnie put an arm on Mikey's shoulder. "It's okay. We'll save her."
Back in New York, Damien was almost ready to throw the towel in on this whole thing. Eventually, Amingethia would be killed in an accident or commit suicide or something, right? Then her soul would return to Hell. He would have an easier time trying to find her there then here in New York, with a crystal that first was leading him in circles, and now wasn't doing anything!
All the three had found in their search of NYPD headquarters was a fake ID who didn't even look like Amingethia. Tweet kept insisting the ID was a lead, but the crystal hadn't done anything in the last 16 or so hours. Rex had taken a break to go hunt down some humans for him and Tweet to drink the blood of, while Tweet kept trying to do something with the fake ID. Damien just turned the crystal over in his hand a few times, wishing he had another clue, a sign, a well-timed crash, anything! He missed Amingethia more than he cared to admit to anyone, least of all himself.
"Hey, I'm back." Rex approached Tweet and Damien, blood staining his mouth. "Caught you one, too." He pushed a larger man towards Tweet, who immediately started to feast on the blood.
Damien just watched. He didn't have an appetite.
Suddenly, the crystal started to glow faintly again, so faint that Damien almost didn't notice. When he did, his heart leapt into his mouth. Finally. A clue.
Or the dumb rock would lead him into a circle again.
It was worth the annoyance.
"Let's go." Damien took off across the rooftops, as the crystal led him towards some older, rundown warehouses. It was glowing brightly now. Amingethia had to be around here somewhere...
