It started after the fifth drink on boy's night out….

Hey! If the girls were allowed a girl's night out and a girl's night in which they constantly ban all the boys (even Happy!) from, then the boys of Fairy Tail were allowed to take advantage of an empty guild building, and drink together.

"Natsu," Gray scowled at the slumped over, depressed, pink-haired pain in the arse, "cheer up, fuck sake, this is supposed to be a party not a wake."

"Can't," Natsu mumbled against the table, "Lucy still won't forgive me."

Gray, Gajeel, and Laxus all rolled their eyes at that while Freed shook his head. "Can you blame her?" he asked. "You left her for a year with just a letter to say goodbye, if I had been abandoned-"

"I didn't abandon her!"

"Probably not on purpose, kid," Macao patted Natsu on the head, "but women are sensitive about these things."

"Oui," Reedus agreed, "and you must remember, Natsu that Lucy had suffered a severe lost days before you left her."

"How was I supposed to know?!" Natsu yelled. "She didn't say a thing!"

"Of course she didn't," Gray scoffed, "she's Lucy."

"And," Freed added, "You had just lost your father. What was she supposed to say 'I know you're upset but I just an extension of my soul and magic, can I have a hug too?'"

"Yes!" Natsu hissed.

"Idiot," Gajeel muttered, "the gay green haired one was being sarcastic."

"Look," Laxus slammed his cup down. Fed up of the discussion at hand. "If you want your girl to forgive you, you're just going to have to do the old time plan that every man does."

Natsu blinked. "What's that?"

"Grovel."

"But I don't know what to say!"

Natsu, so upset and depressed, had kept his head down as he stared at his whiskey, unaware of the evil, demonic, looks on his fellow male members' faces. "Don't worry Natsu," Gray patted him on the back, "we'll help you. Now how about another drink?"

Happy sweat-dropped. "I have a bad feeling about this."

"Hmm," Lily agreed, "let's go fishing before this gets out of hand."

"Aye Sir!"

FTFTFTFTFTFTFTFTFTFTFTFT

Ten more drinks later and Natsu was staggering down Strawberry Street with the others following closely behind, giggling like naughty schoolboys. "Lushy!" Natsu cried out. "Lushy! LUSHY! WAKE UP!"

"Shh!" Freed hissed. "You'll wake the others."

"But how am I supposed to get Lushy to talk to me if I don't wake her up?" Natsu asked.

"Use this," Gajeel suggested as he handed a stone to Natsu. "It's considered romantic."

Natsu grinned as he eagerly snatched it up and chucked it at Lucy's bedroom window, it missed and bounced off of the wall, "It didn't work!" Natsu said indignantly. "Give me another!"

"Gihihihihihi." Gajeel snickered. "Gladly."

Rocks and stones from different sizes rained down on Lucy's apartment as all the boys joined in throwing. There was a flicker of movement and Natsu froze. "Stop!" he hissed. "Stop! I think its working! I can see Lushy!" he said excitedly. "Lushy! Lushy, I…..what do I say?!"

"Tell her," Laxus spoke up first, "that she needs to stop being so fucking stupid and forgive you already."

"YOU NEED TO STOP BEING SO FUCK-"

"Don't actually say that!" Freed shrieked as he gagged Natsu with his hand. "She'll never forgive you if you say that!" he whirled round to glare at the others. "What are you guys trying to do, sabotage him?"

"Yes," Gray and Laxus said instantly.

"Isn't it obvious?" Gajeel raised an eyebrow.

"That was the evil plan," Bickslow nodded in agreement.

"Evil plan! Evil Plan! Evil plan!"

"You guys are horrible!" Freed said horrified. Slowly, he released Natsu's mouth from his hand, and he slowly, and quietly, so that the drunken idiot could understand him. "Natsu, ignore them. They're only going to ruin your chances with Lucy. You should repeat after me instead, okay?"

Natsu nodded. "Okay, so what do I say?"

"Lucy-"

"LUSHY!"

"Dearest of my heart," Freed clutched his chest dramatically, "love of my life. I am so very sorry. I should have never left without saying goodbye properly but if I did I knew one look at you gold spun hair round your beautifully carved face, and eyes that shine like diamonds in the rough, I would never be able to leave."

"…"

There is a moment of utter silence as everyone stared at Freed, most of the boys looked mildly disgusted, while Natsu looked dumb-struck as he tried to remember everything Freed said, slowly mouthing each word to himself.

"That must be the gayest thing I had ever heard."

"Told you so," Gajeel muttered, "he's the gay green haired one."

"LUSHY!" Natsu suddenly bellowed. "DEAREST OF MY FART" the boys, apart from Freed who looked constipated, instantly began to laugh so hard that they had to cling to one another. "LOVE OF MY LIFE. I AM SO VERY SORRY. I SHOULD HAVE NEVER LEFT WIHOUT SAYING GOODBYE PROPERLY BUT IF I DID I KNEW ONE LOOK AT YOUR STRAW HAIR ROUND YOUR MEAT CARVED FACE,….and….and….what else do I say?!"

"That you're smoking hot and if you let me up there I will-"

"LAXUS!" Freed tackled his friend to the ground. "I love you and everything, and usually I think you're wonderful in everything but in this, please for the love of God, shut up!"

"YOU'RE SMKOING HOT AND IF YOU LET ME UP THERE I WILL…..what will I do?!" Natsu wailed as he realised belatedly that Laxus was no longer feeding him lines. "Someone help!"

"Let me have your babies!" Bickslow and Gray instantly burst out.

"LET ME HAVE YOUR BABIES!"

"Babies! Babies! Babies!"

There was no reply. Lucy's window remained dark, silent, and what's worse there was no sound of Lucy running to the door to let Natsu in. with a heavy, dejected, sigh, Natsu slumped. "It's not working!" he whined. "What else can I do?!"

"There's only one thing left to do then," Gajeel grunted. "You're going to have to serenade her."

"Sera…..what?" Natsu blinked. "No her name is Lucy. Not Sera, Lucy, say it with me Gajeel, Lu-cy!"

"Sing! You idiot!" Gajeel barked. "You're going to have to sing!"

"Oooooh!" Natsu's eyes widened in realisation. "Sing what?"

"Erm…"

"Does anyone actually know any love songs?!"

"Err…" Everyone scratched their heads when suddenly Bickslow hummed, Ee-e-e-oh-mum-oh-weh! Ee-e-e-oh-mum-oh-weh!"

"Wimoweh, wimoweh," Laxus and Freed suddenly sang in a deep voice, Gajeel, Elfman, Macao, Wakaba, Reedus, Max, and Gray all shared a look before they suddenly flung an arm round one another and sang alongside them. "Wimoweh, wimoweh, Wimoweh, wimoweh, wimoweh, wimoweh, Wimoweh, wimoweh, wimoweh, wimoweh, Wimoweh, wimoweh, wimoweh, wimoweh."

"Natsu," Gray added in a hiss, "this is your cue!"

"Oh right!" Natsu snapped out of his dumbstruck state and awkwardly began to sing (it wasn't great but it was better than Gajeel's singing…..anything is better than Gajeel's singing) "In the jungle, the mighty jungle. The lion sleeps tonight. In the jungle, the quiet jungle. The lion sleeps tonight."

On the other side of the canal, the girls all sat on the edge in their pyjamas, watching the whole affair. Kinana (having be forced to work the night shift since the boys wanted their night in the guild) had warned them that the drunken morons were on their way, and instantly the girls got far enough that they could watch the whole thing without being spotted.

Mirajane, glowered and pouted the whole time, upset that the boys were effectively ruining any chance of romance between the two parties of her favourite ship.

Juvia kept squealing over how handsome Gray's naked back was and then crying whenever someone got in the way of said handsome naked behind.

Wendy had fallen asleep on Erza's shoulder while Charle was also asleep in her arms.

Cana, Erza, Laki, Evergreen, Levy and Lisanna, however were clutching their sides as they roared with hysterical laughter.

"Oh my God!" Cana choked out between giggles. "They're singing a song about al ion! How is that supposed to be romantic serenading?"

"It's Natsu," Evergreen snickered, "as long as it's not about food its romantic."

"So Luce," Cana elbowed Lucy, "are you going to forgive him or what? After all Natsu wants to have your babies!"

"Oh God," Lucy groaned from behind her hands. Her face was bright pink and she looked on the verge of calling Virgo up and asking her to dig a hole to hide in. "I can't believe him! I think I'm going to die!"

"Of love for Natsu?" Levy teased.

"Of embarrassment!" Lucy snapped. "If he wakes up my Landlady and gets me evicted, I'm going to kill him!"

The girls all exchanged grins over Lucy's head as she groaned once again and buried her face even further behind her hands.

"That's Lucy talk," Levy whispered loudly to the others, "for that she totally forgives Natsu."
