Summary: Inspired by recent episode. Jellal and Erza's first date doesn't go as Jellal planned….

Jellal had imagined a lot of different ways his first date with Erza could go but he never imagined this….
They were strawberry picking, which had been part of Jellal's daydreams, the sun was out, the world was beautiful, and Erza was excited to pick her favourite food to top the cake that everyone was making in the guild for them.
That part was exactly how Jellal imagined their first date to be.
The bit where Erza suddenly dressed up as a giant strawberry was not.
(His fantasies of her in a white summer's dress that would hug her curves and bring out the scarlet of her hair, withered, and died, a quick and tragic death.)
Neither was the bit where he gets kidnapped by the Forest Vulcans, tied to a spit, and slowly rotated above a fire while the dirty, green, apes all worshipped his girlfriend as the 'Strawberry Lady'.
"Erza!" he cried out as he squirmed against the ropes. "A little help here?"
"I am sorry Jellal," Erza ducked her head regretfully, "but these fearsome and mighty Forest Vulcans have hidden the Maximum Strawberry that we need for our cake and will not give it to me unless I allow them to worship me."
It was always nice to know where you stood in your girlfriend's priorities…..and much to Jellal's ever-lasting tragic shame, he was well below strawberries and cakes…..
….in fact, he was fairly certain he wasn't even on Erza's list of priorities.
He bets none of the other guys had this problem on their first dates.
(Later Gray will admit that he too spent his first date tied up, though it was too a bed, and Gajeel huffed that he was also ignored in favour of a book, Laxus just grunted, Elfman asserted that he and Evergreen aren't dating and therefore he hadn't been on his first date, and Natsu smugly said he had no problems on his first date where Lucy brought him lunch and they defeated a slave trader and he took her ho – "NATSU, FOR THE LAST TIME THAT WAS WHEN WE FIRST MET NOT OUR FIRST DATE!")
