Summary: Inspired by a scene from Avatar the Last Air Bender. Gray walks in to find Natsu in a compromising position.

Pairings: Natsu/Lucy, implied mention of Gray/Juvia, and Natsu/Gray friendship.

YouTube Prompt: Natsu/Lucy (and Fairy Tail tribute) to 'We are Young' by Fun.

Gray rarely felt the urge to talk to someone.

Usually, he was quite happy with his silence and brooding, but occasionally a few drinks down his throat and he tells Cana and Loke everything, or Erza manages to scare everything out, or Juvia just looks at him with her big, sweet, eyes and he feels the sudden urge to confide to her.

This time, he wanted to talk to Natsu.

Not for some sort of emotional, heart to heart, which is always best left to the girls or when drunk, but just to go over some of the plans tomorrow for hunting down the rest of their guild members, and whether or not they should strike now against Zeref or wait till they rebuilt the guild in Magnolia, you know, bloke things.

There was no way there would ever be a heart to heart about losing Dads at all. Nu-huh. Nope. Never.

There was a rustling sound to the side of him and Gray squinted in the darkness, just able to make out the figure in the shadows. "Lucy?" he blinked.

"Oh!" Lucy jumped. "Gray!" she said in a fake, cheerful voice, "Hi. What's up?"

"I was just going to see Natsu," Gray said slowly, "are you….if you want to talk to him first, I can wait."

"Nope!" Lucy said quickly. "I just went the wrong way!" how do you go the wrong way in a small campsite you helped set up? "This isn't my tent! How silly of me! Ha! Ha! Ha! Bye!"

"Ooooooookay, then," Gray mumbled as he watched Lucy suddenly waddle off as quickly as she could. "Maybe Natsu was right along, she is a weirdo."

Gray then shrugged and pushed Natsu's tent flap open, stepped inside and…

...and was instantly greeted by the most horrific sight in the world.

There, lying on his side, in the most provocative position he could think of, was Natsu, with a big cheesy grin on his face, and a red rose clutched between his teeth.

Gray was going to need several bottles of bleach to clean his brain after this.

And several therapy sessions.

And perhaps a bullet to the brain because he doubted he would ever get over this sight.

"Hello, Lu-" Natsu had begun to purr flirtatiously, but he opened his eyes, spotted Gray, immediately swallowed the flower, and choked slightly. "Gray!" he coughed. "What the fuck are you doing here?!"

"Never mind that!" Gray yelped. "WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT?!"

"NONE OF YOUR FUCKING BUSINESS! NOW GET OUT OF MY TENT!"

"IT'S BECOME MY BUSINESS WHEN YOU DECIDED TO DO THAT WHERE ANYONE COULD WALK IN! WHAT IF I HAPPENED TO HAVE BEEN WENDY?!"

"WHO COMES AND DISRUPTS SOMEONE AT THIS TIME OF NIGHT?! YOU REALLY ARE A PERVERT, SNOW FAIRY!"

"WHAT WAS THAT, ASH BRAIN?!"

"YOU HEARD ME!"

"WILL THE PAIR OF YOU SHUT UP?! SOMEONE OF US ARE TRYING TO SLEEP!"

Natsu and Gray jumped at the sound of Erza's voice and trembled fearfully for a moment. "A-aye Sir!" they whispered.

There was then an awkward silence and then Gray and Natsu's eyes inadvertently met, and the memory of Natsu and the Rose pinged back into Gray's head, causing the half-naked guy to quickly whirl round and storm out of the tent.

"Urgh!" he shuddered. "I'm going to have nightmares for months now."

"Psst!" Natsu crawled out of his tent. "Lucy! I think the coast is…." He trailed off when he caught Gray staring down at him, waved sheepishly, and then slunk back into his tent.

"…..Idiot."
