Hunter looked at the people in the room. He could see the worry on their faces. "It's alright. Something has happened and I need to go; now. Sorry to disrupt the celebration. Shawn, make sure they have fun. It's alright, no one is...dead." Hunter mouthed the last word, no need to upset the children.

Everyone relaxed a bit. "I will, babe. You be careful. I love you, Hunter." Shawn kissed his husband. Ida followed Hunter to open the mirror for him.

Luckily the quadruplets were so involved in their wedding cake and chatter, they never even heard Hunter's words. Nor did they see him leave. They were too happy.

Ida sat down and enjoyed her cake. "You know, I am glad. I was able to be here. I felt bad about not going to Vegas. Oh and Shawn dear, where did you come up with the wonderful idea of doing vows for the children? It was so sweet."

Shawn grinned. "Was Dean's idea. He asked if there were some vows for including children in a wedding ceremony. I just made them up. I thought of all the terrible Father's Day ties Meg has given us over the years, and went from there. It was a wonderful idea, Dean." Shawn lifted a forkful of cake in toast to Dean.

"Just when I think I can't love you anymore, you do something wonderful. I love you." Adam spoke softly and leaned over to give Dean a kiss.

Dean smiled and held Adam close. "Well, I just thought it was a way to make them part of it. I love you, Adam Ambrose. I'll never get tired of saying that." Dean gave Adam another soft kiss.

Jade screwed up her face in deep thought. "Daddy, when you wedded dad Dean, you got his name right? So, can we be Ambrose's now? I don't think I like being an Orton anymore." She spoke with a deep seriousness, a rare thing for the usually loud and rowdy little girl.

"Yeah! Agreed! Me too!" Jan, James and Jordan echoed consent to Jade's words.

Dean wasn't sure how to answer, but he had to try. "I want that too. I want you to be Ambrose's, and to me, you already are, but not legally. Daddy and I will have to do some legal stuff with grandpa Shawn. Are you sure, little lions? You already have my love, you don't have to take my name."

Jade spoke up. "My name is Jade Marie Ambrose, and I don't care what that other man says!" She crossed her arms over her chest and gave a very firm nod.

Adam cocked his head at Jade. "What other man, sweetie?" He was confused about what Jade had said.

"She means father. We talked about this last night too. We want Dean to be our one and only father. We don't understand everything...Oh, I told you all this. But yes, we want our names changed to Ambrose." James added more to what he'd said before. It was hard to explain. Why didn't adults ever listen.

Shawn looked at the children. "We can see what can be done. We have to do it in a court room, with a Judge. It may take a while, but, if you are good, and very, very patient, you might just get your wish. But, remember, it could take a long time. So don't bother daddy every day about it, okay?" Shawn gave the children a very stern stare. They had to understand not everything in life came quickly and instantly.

"Our teacher, Mister Hamilton said, the wheels of justice grind slowly. Is that what you mean grandpa Shawn?" Jan spoke up. Maybe that is what her teacher meant when he explained it took a long time to make a law.

Shawn nodded. "Yes, that is exactly it, Jan. But, don't fret. I will see to it, and if not me, then Uncle Roman will. He is the best lawyer I know, besides me." He gave Jan a wink, then gave one to Roman.

Adam smiled. "We will make sure it happens, because I want it too, my darlings. Also, Ida, Seth, Shawn, Hunter and Roman, thank you so much for getting all this done in less than day. You are the most amazing people I know. Well Dean, you warned me, your life moves fast." Adam laughed, then snuggled into Dean's embrace.

"We did it because we want you to be happy. Making a cake is easy. I will freeze the top for your first anniversary. Oh and how about my chili and cornbread for supper?" Ida spoke as she put the top layer of the wedding cake in a plastic box.

Jordan clapped. "That means chili dogs tomorrow! Can I have more cake, please? It's so good."

"Oh, I think just this once. I want more too, please." Adam blinked his eyes like a child at Dean.

Ida laughed. "Okay, more cake for everyone." She sliced cake and filled plates. Everyone had a wonderful time.

Hunter Helmsley raced toward St. Luke's Hospital. Justin had manged to let Jason know about Chris Jericho. He told them they had to hurry, that Stephanie was leaving at five and taking Chris with her to the McMahon mansion. It was going on four o'clock.

At St. Luke's Hospital, Justin Gabriel checked Chris Jericho's vital signs. Wade Barrett sat up in his bed and tried to read, but he kept losing focus. He let out a soft sigh.

"Finn will be back soon, Wade. Can I get you anything?" Justin looked from Chris' chart, with a smile.

Wade looked at Justin. "Sorry. I didn't realize I'd sighed. No thanks, Justin. Finn spoils me with things. He probably shouldn't, but they taste better. How is Chris? Must have been some accident." Wade adjusted to sit up better. He had to try to just get on with things. Thankfully, Finn was a huge help.

Justin smiled at Wade and went to stand next to his bed. "Nothing wrong with Finn feeding you what you like. You're not on a special diet. Jericho will be alright, in time. Yeah, it was some accident. He accidentally ran into Orton's fist...several times." He growled his words. Justin, if nothing else, was a first rate actor. He had to be, lives depended on it.

Wade frowned. "Finn… He told me Chris was in an accident. Why...I thought..." He let out sad sigh.

Justin knit his brow. "What Wade? What are you trying to say?" He was worried. Wade's mental health was delicate at best.

Wade toyed with the hem of the sheet. "Why would he lie to me, Justin. Why not tell me the truth about Jericho. If we don't have trust...Alberto never lied to me...never." He looked at Justin with sad eyes. Maybe Finn...he wasn't sure.

Justin laid a hand on Wade's shoulder. "I am sure Finn wanted to protect you. He doesn't want you worried about faction business. It's one of those white lies, Wade. The kind meant to protect, not harm. I shouldn't have said anything But, if it really bothers you, talk to him now, before it gets out of hand. But, just think about what I said. I know one thing, Wade. Finn really cares deeply for you...maybe more than you know. Now, I will shut up." Justin gave a little chuckle.

Wade looked at Justin. "You know, that makes sense. Yeah, he wants me to rest, not worry about… business. But yes, I will talk to him. I hope Jericho will be alright. Any idea what Madame is going to do?" He missed being busy, it would keep him from thinking about Alberta Maria.

Justin leaned in, he hoped someone was listening to his conversation. "She is going to take over, whether her father likes it or not." He dropped a bombshell. If the cops played it right, this news could be the start of the last of McMahon and Orton.

Wade grinned when the door opened and Finn stepped in with a large bag from Subway. "Oh my favorite. You are too good to me." Wade's eyes went wide when Finn unwrapped a fully loaded sandwich.

"You two enjoy. I am going to make sure the pharmacy has everything ready. You know, I could look after Wade at the mansion too, now that the virus is gone. Want me to ask?" Justin knew had to keep Finn on side. If anyone was going to rat out his true self, Justin knew it would be Finn. He had to keep the man happy.

Finn looked at Wade, then Justin. "Aye, that would be fantastic. If you think it would be best for Wade, I would love it. So much easier to keep him safe. I keep thinking, every time the door opens, it could be Orton's men. You're a good man Justin. I'm sorry for any doubts I had about you." He gave the South African a nod of respect.

Justin returned the nod. "I'm glad, Finn. I have only had Miss McMahon's wishes in my mind. Alright, I'll go see what I can do." While he did need to see to things, Justin knew he had to be out of the room when the police arrived to question Jericho. With another nod to Finn and Wade, Justin left.

As Justin headed up the hall, Chief Bret Hart, Jason Hart, Hunter Helmsley and Kenny Omega came down the hall. As they passed, Justin heard a barely whispered "Stay away." He wasn't even sure which of the officers had warned him.

Up in her office, in the children's ward, Stephanie hung up the phone. She shot Drake Younger a look of panic. "We've got to get down to Chris, now, the police are here. Gotta make sure Chris doesn't say anything. I am just glad father's return was delayed." Stephanie headed for the door as she spoke.

Drake was on Stephanie's heels. "Don't worry, ma'am. Justin won't let them bother Chris or Wade. He's good at things like that. Yes, good thing about your father."

Finn Bálor stood up so fast, his chair slid across the room. He stood, fists balled and glared at Chief Bret Hart and Detective Hunter Helmsley directly in the eye. "What do you want? Nobody called you." He growled his words.

Wade reached out for Finn. "Finn, calm down. Maybe Jericho's people called." He knew Finn and his temper. Wade knew he would have to work hard to keep Finn from being arrested for punching a cop.

It was all Hunter could do to maintain his own professionalism. After all, these were the two men responsible for causing the accident that very nearly killed Adam and the quads. If they had proof, he would arrest them both on the spot, sadly, they didn't have enough to make it stick in court; yet.

"We are here to investigate a crime. It really isn't any of your concern now is it? We are here to see Mister Jericho. So just mind your own business." Hunter spoke firmly. What he really wanted to do was punch Bálor's face in.

Wade gave a nod to the law enforcement officers "It's just, Chris is a family friend. We are worried about him. Maybe you could wait for his Doctor to return. He really isn't in any shape to be grilled right now."

Bret spoke. "If you will excuse us." He reached up and pulled the curtain that would divide the room in half.

Finn leaned in to try to listen, but the officers spoke in near whispers. He could hear Chris groan. He wanted to rip the curtain open. Wade placed a hand on Finn's arm and shook his head. He looked Finn in the eye and tried to convey a message of calm.

Finn looked at Wade. He took the Englishman's hands in his. Finn felt an immediate calm wash over him. He smiled at Wade. Never had anyone been able to calm him so quickly, not even his mother. Both looked at the door when the heard Stephanie McMahon. She was being prevented from entering the room.

"Go help her." Wade mouthed to Finn.

Finn bend down and gave Wade a quick kiss, then stepped out into the hallway. Stephanie was in a staring contest with a sandy haired man. The man oozed law enforcement. Bálor went to stand next to his boss.

"Ma'am, come in. Wade would love to see you." Finn gently took hold of Stephanie's upper arm, to lead her away.

Jason moved to stand in front of the door. "You will have to wait now, too. I was told not to let anyone in, and I am going to follow that order." He crossed his arms over his chest and stood in front of the door. Kenny Omega kept an eye on Jason from a well chosen hiding place.

Stephanie knew she had to keep a tight leash on Bálor. "Mister Bálor, where is Doctor Gabriel? He would not like his patients being disturbed."

"Um.. he went to make sure the pharmacy had everything ready. Should I go get him Miss McMahon?" Finn asked his boss, though his eyes never left Jason.

Stephanie gave Finn a nod. "Yes, please do. I haven't had time to get Doctor Gabriel a pager yet. If he isn't there, ask Mister Younger. Thank you, Mister Bálor."

"Yes, ma'am. Tell Wade I will be right back." Finn gave his leader a nod, and hurried off to find Justin.

At Adam's place, the wedding party came to an end. Roman helped carry things upstairs. Adam and Dean insisted that Ida was to go spend the weekend with her mother like always. Seth and Roman would be there. So with happy hugs and kisses, Ida agreed.

"I'm glad Ida is going to her mother. I can cook while she is gone. As a matter of fact, I don't suppose anyone would want tacos for supper, and forget the chili?" Dean asked as he stood and stretched.

"Yes! Si Si!" The quadruplets yelled. Tacos were one of their favorites, but Ida didn't make them often.

"Dean, are you sure? They can eat a lot of Tacos, and trying to carry it. No, we can have the chili, it's simpler." Adam stated. He knew how much work it was for one person.

Dean laughed. "Honey, I can cook down here and you can help me chop and grate. It will give Seth and Roman a chance to have the upstairs alone. I'll go up now, change and gather up the taco makings. You kids change your clothes and don't break daddy's nerve." He kissed his new husband and hugged the children then went upstairs.

Shawn stood. "Seth, you go with Roman. I will help Adam change." He gave Seth a look that said he needed to talk to Adam in private.

Seth gave Shawn a smile. "Thanks. Make sure his brace is tight. Adam, we'll handle things. Enjoy this time. Congratulations, Mister Ambrose. I'll see you in the morning. Good night little monkeys, love you." Seth hugged Adam and the children, then went up to Roman.

Adam looked at his children. "Okay, my darlings, go change. Girls in the bathroom, boys in the bedroom. Hang your things up, don't just throw them." He spoke in a firm tone. He wanted to continue to maintain discipline.

"We will, daddy. No broken nerves, not on taco night!" James spoke. The children hurried off to change.

Shawn followed Adam into the bedroom. He began to help Adam change into a tee shirt and sweat pants. "You looked angelic, son. Judy would have been so proud and happy for you..." Shawn paused to help Adam change his pants. Adam hung on to Shawn, his hips hurt when he moved too much.

Shawn hung Adam's suit back in its cloth bag. "You want me to get started on custody papers? Can't file them yet, of course, but I can have them ready to go. I take it you are all for it and for Dean to adopt them and change their names to Ambrose?"

Adam tightened the strap on his brace. He let out a sigh of contentment, now it felt much better. "I keep forgetting, I just had a major surgery. I feel so good, except my hips where they took the bone grafts. This brace is like magic..." He sat on the bed so Shawn could help him with his slippers.

Adam continued. "Yes, I never want to let Randy be alone with my children ever again. Shawn, one thing scares me, more than Randy and that is Bob and to some degree, Elaine. I have a feeling they won't just...What if they fight for custody? Even I don't have the kind of money, to fight someone like him. Bob could just…. Get rid of me or Dean! Maybe...oh Shawn! What have I done? I… am… so stupid! I just put Dean in danger! Shawn, tear up the marriage license! Instant annulment. Oh Shawn! Why am I never allowed to be happy? I relax and think everything is great, then bang, someone pulls the rug out from under me!" Tears began to stream from Adam's eyes as he looked down at his new wedding band. He started to remove it.

Shawn pulled Adam's right hand away. "Adam Joseph Ambrose, will you stop! I swear, son. I love you but sometimes you are a bigger brat than all four quads combined. Bob and Elaine might not like it, but they just have to live with it. They will be too busy with Randy to fight you…." He was interrupted when Dean came into the bedroom. He looked upset.

"I'll leave you to it. I'll go check on the children. Dean, straighten your husband out." Shawn gave Dean a wink and left the newlyweds alone.

Dean sat on the bed and took Adam's hands in his. "Sorry babe, but I dropped eaves. Look, there is something you should know. I didn't say anything because to be honest I forgot. It happened not too long ago. You know what Randy said to us at the hospital, well after that, we talked again, without you. It was almost as if Randy… well, he asked me again, that if anything happened, he asked me to adopt the children. Like I said, the way he said it...well, it doesn't matter. Randy won't stand in the way, I don't think his father will factor into it. Besides, as much as I want it to happen, it has to wait until it is safe for you and the little lions to come out of hiding. Adam we're married now, I am going to take care of you and those children out there, as well as this little one..." Dean paused and gently rubbed Adam's abdomen. He then continued.

"Honey, I know you're scared. I am too, but no matter what, we have to stay strong and positive for the children. We are going to get through this. I promise. Now, you ready to help me make tacos? I love you, husband." Dean ended with a soft kiss to Adam's lips.

Adam smiled into the kiss. "I love you, husband. I didn't know Randy had spoken to you separately. But you know, it sounds like something the Randy I thought I knew would say. The care of the children always came first. We will cross bridges, together, as they come up. Forgive me for being, so stupid?" He looked at Dean with worry, he felt bad for almost giving up, before their marriage had really even started.

Dean smiled, then turned deadly serious. "Yes, but if you ever threaten to annul this marriage again, I will turn you over my knee and spank your ass. And not in the fun way." He gently teased Adam by very gently tossing him over his lap. Dean blew a raspberry on Adam's belly.

Adam laughed. "Okay, okay. I'll be good. Now, we'd better go feed our babies before they come in here." He sat up and kissed Dean. Together the newlywed couple went to join Shawn and the children.

In the Helmsley's safe room, Shane McMahon let out a little yell of joy. He found something that could put his father and sister in prison for a long, long time. International mail fraud tied to money laundering. Now, he just had to find a way to get irrefutable proof. Maybe, just maybe Justin Gabriel could do something to help. Shane began to make notes so furiously, the paper was close to tearing. He couldn't wait to see Shawn.

At St. Luke's Hospital, Finn Bálor searched high and low for Justin Gabriel. He was getting more frustrated with every step. The pharmacy told him Justin had just left, and to try the nurse's station. The head nurse said Mister Younger, the children's advocate, had called Justin up to the children's ward. Finn hit the button for the second floor with his fist. Finn let out a curse when the elevator jolted to a stop, the lights flickered.

In the hospital basement, Kenny Omega laughed to himself. He could hear Bálor yelling two and half floors above. Kenny looked at his watch. He had another minute before he let the elevator continue its journey.

"Argh! Work you stupid elevator! Fucking hell! I could have climbed to the top and back by now! Work!" Finn yelled and banged once again on the door of the elevator.

In the basement, Kenny hit the button. The gears of the elevator began to stir into life. With a laugh, he hit the master down button, just for his own amusement. Hey who said a MENSA level FBI Special Agent couldn't have a wicked sense of humor?

"Finally!" Finn exclaimed as he felt the elevator move again. After a moment, he cursed. "Fuck! It's going down!" Finn was ready to explode.

The elevator went to the basement. Finn sighed. Maybe it had to recycle. He pushed "2" and let out a breath when he felt the elevator ascend.

Finn held in another curse when the elevator stopped on the first floor. A pretty young woman stepped into the car. She was openly crying and was so blinded by her tears, she ran right into Finn. Finn caught the lady before she fell.

"Oh, I am so sorry, sir. Please forgive me." The young woman sniffed deeply. She opened her purse and looked for a tissue.

Finn sighed. "No problem. Are you alright? Do you need a doctor?" He reached into his pocket and pulled out a handkerchief. He held it out to the upset woman.

The lady hesitated, then took the offered cloth. "Thank you. No...I'm...alright. It's my son… they called me… he only has a few… hours left...to live...cancer." She wiped her eyes with Finn's handkerchief. "Sorry, if you give me your mailing address… I'll have it cleaned and returned." She dabbed her eyes again.

Finn felt an unfamiliar feeling, something tugged at his heart. "No, you keep it. I buy them by the dozen. I am sorry about your son." The elevator stopped. When the doors opened, Finn took the lady's arm at the elbow and helped her to the nurse's station. The woman moved like a broken robot.

Finn was surprised, Drake and Justin were at the nurse's station. Drake took over from Finn. "Come on, Missus Bronson, I will take you to Mark. We've moved him to a private room..." He spoke gently to Mark Bronson's mother. Drake then looked at Finn and Justin. "I'll be back in a bit." Drake led the upset mother to her son's room.

Justin shook his head with a sad sigh. "Fucking cancer. Nothing I can do, absolutely nothing. I should go be with her." Justin turned to leave.

"Wait. Stephanie wants you downstairs. The fucking guard are trying to grill Jericho. She wants you to stop them." Finn spoke firmly to Justin. He felt bad for the boy and his mother, but faction business came first.

Justin looked at Finn then down the hallway where Mark Bronson lay waiting to become an angel. There wasn't anything he could do. Justin also knew he couldn't press against Finn to hard or he could get suspicious. Justin made his choice, he just hoped it would be understood.

At Adam's, Dean carefully watched as Jade stirred the lightly frying ground beef. Adam and Shawn chopped tomatoes, onions and lettuce while James grated some cheese. Jan and Jordan worked together to set their coffee table and three TV trays. It was easier for their cast encased arms.

"I'm going up to call Nancy and check on Megan. I am not missing tacos!" Shawn stated with a laugh as he chopped the last tomato.

Adam chuckled. "Better open another pack of taco shells. Shawn can eat an entire box by himself."

Shawn rolled his eyes. "I am not the one that ate four of Nancy's beef and bean burritos, then exploded, am I Adam Joseph?" He dashed to hurry up the stairs before Adam could hit him.

"Daddy! Did you really 'splode?" Jade asked when Dean took the spoon from her.

Adam laughed. "Not exactly, but I didn't have any problems going to the bathroom for a week." Adam gently tweaked Jade's nose.

Shawn came back down. "Um...I can't get out. I don't know how." He looked rather sheepish.

Dean chuckled. "That's what you get for teasing my poor husband and his delicate tummy. Come on, I'll let you out. I forgot the sour cream." He kissed Adam, then went out with Shawn.

Just as Shawn and Dean got to the kitchen, the front door bell rang. Roman looked at Dean. He and Seth had been eating their supper of chili and cornbread. After all, Ida had cooked the chili in the crock pot, so they might as well enjoy it.

"I'll go, in case. Better put on your worried face and take off your ring." Roman spoke in a serious voice.

Dean sighed and pulled his ring off and put it in his pocket. It was a good thing. Roman's instincts had been right, Randy Orton was at the front door. He quickly sat at the table and somehow managed to fill his eyes with unshed tears. Shawn and Seth were impressed.

"Come in, Randy. We're trying to get Dean to eat." Roman slowly led Randy to the kitchen. He hoped they were ready.

Shawn put a bowl of chili in front of a very now upset Dean. "Oh hey, Randy. Come on in and sit. Coffee?" Shawn asked casually a bit of sorrow in his voice as well.

Randy nodded. "Yes, please. Is Hunter here? I've been trying to talk to him all day. Dean, any word?" He sat down next to Dean with another sigh.

Shawn spoke first as he poured then served Randy his coffee. "No, he isn't. I'm expecting to hear from him soon. And no, we haven't heard anything. Guess you haven't either." He sat down with his own cup.

When Roman sat back down, Seth stood. "I've got to go. Be right back, babe." Seth knew Adam had to be warned that Dean would be tied up with Randy.

Randy sipped his coffee, then spoke. "No, I thought...a ransom note or call by now. I can't...Mike is going nuts. He wanted to come, but I told him to stay home, in case of a note or message." He pulled out a cigarette and lit it.

Roman got up and opened the French doors and got the ashtray. "Here." He sat back down. He too did a great job of being upset about the situation.

Randy exhaled. "Thanks, sorry bad habit. I'll put it out around Seth By the way, Roman, congratulations on the house. Adam will love having you guys next door...if..."

Dean banged his fist on the table. "No, Randy! There is no if! Adam and the children will be found. They just have to be!" He dropped his head in his hands. Roman reached over and rubbed his best friends back in support.

"Yes, they will. Sorry, I'm...I just can't stand waiting. I should have stayed home. It's just..." Randy let his words fade.

"It's where Adam and the children should be, right Randy?" Shawn looked at Adam's one time husband. A man he once trusted.

Randy nodded. "Dean, could I go upstairs? Just...look at their rooms?"

Dean hid his panic. Seth couldn't be caught anywhere near the entrance to the panic room. It might raise questions. But, he also could not refuse Randy's request as it too might raise suspicion.

"Yeah. I haven't… I sleep down here. Finish that, then we'll go up...together." Dean gave a nod to the fresh smoke Randy had lit.

"Thanks, Dean." Randy replied and took a drag from the cigarette. He took a third, then stabbed out the smoking stick.

Dean glanced at Shawn. All Shawn could do was shrug. Dean smiled internally, Seth came down the backstairs.

Seth rubbed his swollen belly. "That feels much better. All is okay now. I was afraid I was going to have to take some Pepto. All the upset." With a sigh he sat down. He hoped Dean understood, that all was okay in the panic room.

Dean nodded. "Good. Extra medicine in your condition isn't always best. I am going upstairs with Randy. Roman can explain. Shawn, come with, please?"

Shawn stood, along with Dean and Randy. "Of course, son. Come on." He headed for the stairs. Dean and Randy followed. Shawn knew that Dean wanted the back up, just in case. After all, Randy Orton was a cold blooded killer.

At St. Luke's, Justin stood outside Chris Jericho and Wade Barrett's hospital room. Jason still stood in front of the door.

"I am Mister Jericho's Physician, as well as Mister Barrett's. I won't interfere. I just want to make sure neither of my patients are unduly stressed. May I please go in?" Justin plead his case, as Stephanie and Finn watched and listened.

Jason stood aside. "You can go in." He opened the door enough for Justin to enter. "No, only the Doctor, Miss McMahon." Jason closed the door behind Justin and blocked Stephanie and Finn from following.

Stephanie glared at Jason. "If anything happens to Mister Barrett or Mister Jericho, the Kansas City Police will have my father, Vincent McMahon to answer to." She kept a death glare on Jason.

In the room, Justin stopped by Wade's bed first. He leaned in to listen to Wade's heartbeat, through his ever present stethoscope.

"Chris talk?" Justin managed to ask in a barely there whisper.

Wade shook his head. "Not really. He said Orton, but nothing else I could understand." He whispered back.

Justin stood back again. "That's good, Mister Barrett. I have some good news. You will be dismissed later. The danger has passed and the ward doctor agrees with me. You will recover much faster at home." He gave Wade a wink.

Wade grinned. "That is good news. I am ready for proper food and my own bed. Thank you, Doctor Gabriel."

"You are welcome. Now, I will check on Mister Jericho. You get some rest so you will be ready to move." Justin gave Wade a nod, then went around the curtain.

Hunter and Bret looked at Justin. "I won't be long. I just want to make sure my patient isn't being stressed." Justin put disdain in his voice as he proceeded to check Chris' vitals.

Bret understood Justin's tone and took no offense. "Don't worry Doctor. He hasn't woken up enough to answer our questions. We will be leaving now. We will be back when he is stronger."

"It may be a day or two." Justin spoke out loud. He then turned away from Chris so his back was to him. Justin mouthed. "He's going to the McMahon mansion."

Hunter gave a nod. "We will be in contact in a day or two. Thank you, Doctor." He gave Justin a sly wink as did Bret. The two policemen left.

When Hunter and Bret emerged, Stephanie confronted them. "Well?" She arched her brow in expectation.

Bret spoke. "We will be back. Have a good day, Miss McMahon." He turned and left, Hunter and Jason behind. Kenny Omega would join them later.

Finn growled at the departing police officers. He also saw Drake step off the elevator, headed in their direction.

Justin came out of the room as Drake arrived. Justin spoke. "What about Mark Bronson?"

Drake sighed. "Passed ten minutes ago. His mother is with the Chaplin. I've called for the car. He will be here soon."

Justin wiped his eyes. "Poor Mark. Come on, Finn. You can help Wade get ready. He's happy about leaving. I need to make sure Chris is stable. Don't worry ma'am, Chris wasn't able to answer their questions. According to Wade, he only said Orton. Maybe that was enough." He gave Stephanie a smile. The more Orton was implicated, the better. It was progress.
