Funky Kong was practicing his stylish skills on his Flame Runner bike as he sped through the tropical beach side mall, having no need for the triple pack of regular red and white mushrooms that was used as a boost during the race. The shopping Nokis and Miis watched as Funky sped past them, with several regular Pianta folk celebrating as they watched Funky sped by.
"Man, is it funktacular being funky!" Funky exclaimed with a laugh as he performed a wheelie on his Flame Runner, jumping off the rooftop and performing a trick as he landed on the road, speeding off towards the parking lot.
King Boo and Wario watched from the top of the starting line, feeling jealous as both knew that neither of them were fast enough to compete with Funky Kong. Dry Bowser was keeping track of Funky's progress on the ground by the starting line, with Petey Piranha firing brownish goop at the innocent Piantas, causing the Pianta police force to try and stop him. Petey just did not like Piantas, not one bit.
"Hmm, Funky... you definitely are fast." Dry Bowser spoke as he was taking notes on Funky's performance, using the data to determine which shortcuts to take when it was his turn.
Birdo strolled by as she saw Funky go riding by on the escalators, with the pink dinosaur going to the open air court in the middle of the mall to see Toadette farting around Waluigi's Taco Stand, who was not pleased by this.
"Woo! I feel like I'm gonna need to buy a new shipment of undies!" Toadette giggled as she was fanning the stinky air she was creating with her bassy fart gas.
"Wah! Why can't you just keep your annoying poots to yourself, toots?" Waluigi snapped as he had a clothespin to block the farts from coming into his big pink nose.
"...just another day in paradise." Birdo sarcastically said to herself as she adjusted her big red bow and decided to go into the flower shop nearby.
