When Natsu and Lucy returned from their elopement, no one had been impressed with them. They were all extremely fed up with the fact that Natsu and Lucy seemed to totally get off on keeping things secret from.

But the person most unimpressed and extremely upset with them had been Mirajane, and it wasn't until Lucy agreed to a blessing, organised by Mira, with full white gown, and bridesmaids, that they were forgiven by the evil white-haired girl.

And that was how most of the girls, Natsu, Loke, Gajeel, Gray, and Laxus were all pulled into making little gift bags for the reception one Saturday afternoon.

"Urgh!" Natsu whined, "This is so boring. Why are we doing this?"

"Because you wanted me to organise the most perfect, huge, blessing," Mira said happily as she threw in the last little give before passing the bag to Laxus. Who, very coolly he would argue later, tied them up with silk ribbons. "And as awesome as I am, I can't do everything on my own."

"But we didn't want a ble-"

"You. Wanted. A. blessing."

Natsu stared at Mira, feeling mildly terrified, like he usually did with Erza on a daily basis, and some intelligent instinct inside him told him to drop the argument. "Yeah," he gulped, "we did."

"Still," Gajeel muttered to Levy, "it's a waste of an afternoon."

"You brought it on your own head," Cana said unsympathetically, "What with keeping it a secret and all. Hey," she suddenly perked up, "How did you two even end up together anyway?"

Everyone suddenly leaned in interested, they all knew it happened in London but they never knew how, and were insanely curious.

"Oh," Lucy flushed, "Well you see, it started at Erza's rehearsal dinner…"

Natsu and Lucy were in the middle of talking about how weird it was that ERZA of all people were getting married, and to a Jellal look-a-like to boot, when they were suddenly approached by a drunken middle aged man. "Erza is a lovely girl," he slurred at them, "very nice, and strong, and brave, you must be proud of her."

Lucy and Natsu exchanged weirded out looks before Lucy coughed. "Yeah…." She said awkwardly, "we're proud of her."

"My God," the man blinked rapidly, "You must have been a teenager when you had her."

And with that he stumbled off leaving Lucy horrified….

"STOP LAUGHING!" Lucy exploded as Gajeel, Gray, Loke, and Laxus started to cackle like little school boys. "IT'S NOT FUNNY!"

"But it is…" Gray snickered. "Did you only sleep with Natsu because some drunken idiot thought you were Erza's mother?!"

"No!" Lucy glared at Gray while Natsu looked rather upset at the thought. "I slept with Natsu for many reasons."

"Was one of them that you hit your head really hard?" Gajeel asked innocently.

"No," Lucy snapped, "but you hitting your head really, really, really hard will be one of the reasons why your body will go missing."

"….Bunny Girl has balls."

"Back to the story!" Cana yelled. "I want to know what happened next. Did you meet each other's eyes and suddenly the next thing you know he's feeding you strawberries in the bath?"

"Natsu," Laxus said disbelievingly, "feeding someone?! That's not him?"

Juvia frowned. "Juvia is confused," she said, "isn't that what happened between Cana and one of the groomsmen?"

"Yeah," Cana smirked as she flipped her hair, "I call it London Style!"

Loke then high-fived Cana while everyone else rolled their eyes in disgust. "No that's not what happened," Lucy said, "we got a bit drunk-"

"Oh aye?" Cana waggled her eyebrows suggestively.

"And Natsu walked me to my room," Lucy finished firmly, "like a gentleman."

"Natsu?" Gray snorted. "A gentleman?"

"More than you!" Lucy barked. "Put your clothes back on. This is a lady's home!"

"Crap!"

"Seriously though," Levy said sceptically, "that's all that happened?"

"Of course not," Natsu scoffed, "Lucy came to my room later that night."

Suddenly everyone was paying attention to the story again.

Natsu was surprised to open the door and find Lucy there. She leaned against the door frame while playing with the straw in her glass, and looked up at him in a strange, sultry, manner. "Hey," she smirked, "nice PJs. You're really living it up here in London, aren't you?"

Natsu glanced down at the shorts with little flames on it and the baggy t-shirt with a cartoon red dragon on it. It had been a birthday present from Lisanna who thought she was being funny. "I have you know that these are super awesome Dragon PJs!" Natsu said indignantly. "Everyone wants these."

"Yeah," Lucy snorted as she stepped into the room. "Five year old boys."

"Luuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuucy!" Natsu whined. "You're so mean!"

Lucy rolled her eyes but otherwise ignored Natsu as she scanned the room. Natsu couldn't help but smile sheepishly as he closed the door behind her. He had only been in this room for one day and already it was a mess.

What can he say? He was a slob.

"Is Loke here?"

"No, last time I saw him he was with two woman and there was a lot of giggling," Natsu gagged at that. He could never understand why women simpered around Loke. "Bunch of weirdos," he muttered. He took in the sight of Lucy, she was stunning, as always, but she seemed upset and morose as she placed her glass on the desk. "You're not still being all weird about what that guy said, are you?" Natsu demanded to know.

Lucy looked up sadly. "Wouldn't you be?"

"No," Natsu snorted, "Because I don't care what some drunken moron thinks. You do realise he thought Elfman was an actual elf, right?" Natsu couldn't help but snicker a little at that. Poor Elfman blustered about whether or not being an elf was actually manly until Evergreen told him to shut up. "He's not exactly the best judge on anything let alone who is the most beautiful girl in the room that night."

Lucy blinked. "Most beautiful girl in the room?" she asked in a weird voice.

"Yeah," Natsu shrugged before he met Lucy's eye. "Surely you know you're the most beautiful girl in most rooms." Lucy flushed and her eyes widened at that. Natsu didn't know why. It was the truth and she always acted like she knew it, after all, what was with all that weird sexual appeal thing she banged on about? "I mean – mmph!"

Natsu was instantly interrupted by a sudden attack from Lucy.

She had flung her arms round his neck, almost knocking him to the ground, before a hand slid up the nape of his neck and into hair and tugged in order to pull him down, her lips slipped over his, and Natsu couldn't help but lean down into Lucy's embrace. Her lips burned against his as she urged him to let her tongue in. Natsu couldn't help but moan into her mouth as he pulled her closer and wrapped his arms round her waist.

His eyes fluttered shut as he urged the kiss to deepen, it was hot, exciting, and he could taste almonds from that weird drink Lucy liked so much.

It was the best kiss he ever had and it was with Lucy.

It was the best kiss he ever had and it was with Lucy!

Oh my God! He was kissing Lucy! He, Natsu Dragneel, the guy Lucy once said she would never date, was kissing Lucy Heartfilla.

"Whoa!" Natsu cried out as he pulled away and held Lucy at arm's length. Her hair spilled over her shoulders, shadowing her face, and her lips were puffy and red from the kiss. "Whoa! Whoa!" Natsu shook his head rapidly in attempt to regain his senses. "What's going on?!" he yelped, panic beginning to set in. "You and I just made out! You and I are making out?!"

"Well," Lucy huffed, "not anymore."

"But we don't do that!"

"I know," Lucy mumbled subconsciously, her eyes fell to the floor and she suddenly became more interested in the carpet's design, and the loose thread at the hem of her skirt as she picked at that. "I just thought…..that it would be fun…."

Natsu grabbed Lucy's chin and forced her to look at him. "How drunk are you?" he asked harshly.

Lucy took a deep breath. "Drunk enough to know that I want to do this," she said quietly but firmly, "but not drunk enough that you should feel that you're taking advantage."

Natsu grinned at that. "That's better than the last time!" he cheered.

"Wait, what?" Lucy cried out. "What do you mean better than the la- mmph!"

Natsu crashed his lips over Lucy's, silencing her permanently as he focused on guiding her towards the bed. Lucy eagerly helped as she returned the kiss passionately, her arms trailing up and down his back, they broke apart when her knees collided against the bed. Lucy fell back and Natsu dived after her, straddling her as he grabbed her hands and pinned her down, so she couldn't escape his next kiss.

"Do you know what's weird?"

Trust Lucy to try and talk in the middle of a kiss. The weirdo. "Apart from you?" he mumbled as he tried to capture her lips again.

"No!" Lucy barked as she pulled her head back. "I meant," she coughed awkwardly, "what's weird about this is that this isn't weird."

"Course it's not weird," Natsu grinned, "you weirdo."

He kissed her again but this time it was much more gentle and chaste as he took in just how beautiful Lucy looked, all flushed, and golden hair sprawled out beneath her like a halo, and her lips were definitely swollen now.

Lucy gasped slightly. "You're a really good kisser," she panted.

"Well," Natsu crowed smugly, "I have kissed over four women."

Lucy raised a sceptical eyebrow. "How many of them weren't our friends on a drunken bet?"

Natsu's smugness rapidly vanished as he really didn't want to admit that every single girl he had kissed had been a friend of his. Either taking pity, doing it for fun, or completely drunk out of their wits. He didn't want Lucy to remember that she was a bit drunk too. If she sobered up and walked out, he would lose his chance with her forever.

"…..want to get under the covers?" he said eventually.

Lucy brightened up at the idea and quickly they clambered into bed and pulled the covers up. Lucy fumbled a little bit with the side zip of her dress as she wiggled out of it, and quickly, with the expertise of only a girl or Loke, snapped her bra off. Natsu, however, yanked his shorts and t-shirt off as quickly as he could before he flung them across the room.

"Wow…..that was pretty fast." Natsu merely grinned in reply. Lucy took a shaky breath and swallowed weirdly in reply. "We're about to see each other naked," she said nervously.

"Yep."

Lucy licked her lips. It made Natsu want to swoop in and kiss her again. "Want to do it at the same time?" Lucy asked.

"Sure," Natsu felt his grin widen at the thought of seeing Lucy naked, "whatever you like."

"Okay," Lucy inhaled and exhaled deeply, "At the count of three. One….two…three!"

They both pulled the coves up and ducked their heads down. Natsu thought his whole body pulsed with excitement and fire as he took in Lucy's naked form, all that soft, white, skin, and pretty curves, he wasn't sure what Lucy saw when she looked at him but he was certain she sort of like it, her eyes darkened and were wider as she stared at him hungrily.

Without a second thought Natsu weaved his hand into her hair and pulled her closer, Lucy happily responded by wrapping an arm round his neck. Natsu pulled back slightly to meet her eye; "You're beautiful," he told her firmly before he pressed his lips against hers once more.

After that, they weren't able to stop.

"And that," Lucy said firmly, "is all the details you're getting."

The boys all looked relieved, Erza, who was bright red, looked slightly disappointed that the story was over but happily continued making the bags in silence (she really didn't want to think about her failed marriage), while Mira looked really, really, disappointed that the story was over.

"But Lucy!" she whined. "I wanted to know more! It's such a romantic story!"

"Meh," Cana shrugged, "It was nice…..now tell them who you really wanted to hook up that night."

Lucy's eyes widened in horror. "What?" she said in a dead voice.

"What?"

"What?"

Natsu whipped his head to face Lucy. "Who did you originally want to hook up with?!" he yelled.

"Okay fine!" Lucy threw her hands up in the air. "But please don't be upset!" she begged Natsu. "I was really depressed, and really drunk, I just wanted something stupid and meaningless, I wanted just sex, so….when I went to your room last night….I was actually looking for….Loke," she mumbled the name in embarrassment.

"Yeah, Baby!" Loke pumped a fist in the air. Everyone shot him an incredibly unimpressed look apart from Natsu who looked like he could murder his ex-roommate. "I mean, no Baby!" Loke corrected himself hastily.

"Loke?" Natsu repeated. "Loke?!" he said in disgust. "LOKE?! WHY THE FUCK WOULD YOU WANT TO DO THAT WITH LOKE?!"

"I was drunk!" Lucy protested. "And insecure! And ready to do something incredibly stupid"

"You did do something incredibly stupid," Gray muttered, "you slept with Natsu."

He was ignored.

"Natsu, lay off of Lucy," Levy rolled her eyes, "we've all been there. Trust me."

"WHAT?!"

All the boys now looked shock, horrified, and downright pissed off.

"Yeah," Cana flipped her hair, "I've tapped that beautiful thing many times. We all need a bit of an ego boost once in a while, and trust me, Loke knows how to boost an ego."

"Juvia has often given into weakness after feeling very sad about Gray-sama," Juvia confessed shamefully, "and Loke-san somehow always makes Juvia feel beautiful and wanted again."

Erza looked down at the gift bags. "It's not something I'm proud of!" she snapped defensively.

"Neither am I," Mira crossed her arms.

"I don't know why you're all so surprised," Loke puffed his chest out proudly, "after all, I only attract the most beautiful of ladies."

"We're going to fucking murder you," Gajeel said in an icy voice, "And leave your body in the river for the fishes."

"On second thoughts maybe I need to re-evaluate how I live my life."

"I can't believe this!" Natsu leaped up from the sofa and screamed. "If wasn't for those weird women then you'd be married to Loke right now!"

"No!" Lucy cried out. "God no!" she repeated disgustedly. "Trust me on this, it might have taken a bit longer, but we would have definitely ended up married in the end." Lucy crossed the space between her and Natsu and placed her hands on his chest. "You're my soul mate. My better half. Everything I need and want, your kindness, your strength, your ability to remain cheerful no matter what, I have always admired you and loved you, and it was fate that opened my eyes to what I really felt."

Natsu's hands covered Lucy's. "Luce…." He breathed in awe.

"Urgh!" Gray gagged. "Pass me a sick bucket."

"If Natsu is the better half," Gajeel muttered to Levy, "then I really worry about the state of Bunny Girl's mind."

Levy elbowed him in her best friend's defence.

"Oh!" Mira gasped as she clasped her chest. "How romantic! And now we'll be able to showcase this beautiful pairing with a proper wedding." Several people rolled their eyes at that, Natsu and Lucy included, after all they felt they had their proper wedding weeks ago. This was just an excuse for everyone to party and get drunk. Mira suddenly realised that no one (apart from Erza) had been working for the last hour. "Why have you lot stopped making gift bags?!" she screeched. "Get back to work!"

The rest of the day was spent pining for freedom away from the tyrant that was Mirajane Strauss-Dryer.
