As promised, Celesta's new house was close enough to both Diagon Alley and King's Cross Station that should there be any emergency she could get to a Wizarding area easily enough. When she first arrived the place was sparsely decorated, but within the first week her mother had helped her unpack her clothes into the closet and make the bed, paint going on a few walls in both Amythist and Boysenberry, though the rest of the walls remained white.
A cute chandelier hung in her dining room over the table meant for four, and though it wasn't as grand as the table at Malfoy Manor, it was much cozier, a warm chestnut color in varnish with soft purple cushions for the seats. Narcissa had even found a couch for her, a comfortable thing able to seat three, the color a deep maroon with purple accent cushions that matched her dining set.
Magic made the space bigger than it first appeared, and her mother had even gotten a fireplace installed. "For visitors, when it's safe." Her kitchen was fully stocked with herbs and meal supplies for Luli to cook, though it was large enough for her to learn to cook for herself as well. Their money had been able to secure the other apartment on the top floor, Narcissa seeing fit to make it into a brewing space for Celesta, who had teared up at seeing it. There was a light area, for potions requiring it, as well as a room for those needing to be brewed in darkness, or dim light.
As promised, there was the balcony, allowing her to look out over the city from her apartment, and there was a small study with a window seat. They went over the bills needed, when they'd be paid, and Luli was given instructions on how to exchange the money and mail it in a check to the landlords and utility people.
They spent a few hours replanting some of the plants, as well as getting the garden set up. Her favorite room, however, had to be her bedroom. All the walls were painted in shades of purple, the wall that her bed was set up against being white. There was curtains surrounding the large four-poster bed, the sheets charmed to provide her rest after a long day. Her closet was like the one in her old room, a vanity set up and a chest of drawers, along with a round seat and small pedestal with mirrors against the back wall.
Her last day at the Manor was spent with Narcissa, the older witch playing with her hair one last time. Draco had wished her well, though Lucius had declined to say goodbye, instead sending an owl to remind her to vacate the premises before he came home from work.
As promised, Professor Snape came and informed her of the schedule she'd be keeping during the school year, as well as a few potions she was to study up on. After that, he'd made her swear her own vow and they shared secrets. She learned he was a double agent, and he learned about her infancy, as well as how proficient she was in her spell work so far. He even pet her for a few minutes, before leaving after tea.
She spent a week getting to know her new area of town, making sure she looked muggle appropriate when she went out. She found an electronic store, but knowing how unrealiable they were around magic, she merely browsed, learning about muggles for a bit.
Professor Snape checked in on her once a week, checking her studies and making her practice her ingredient preparation until her hands were sore. At least her new garden was doing well, and once every two weeks she went to her greenhouse to check on her magical plants, pruning them and gathering ingredients as well.
Towards the last week in July, she was fully moved in and comfortable in her place, and she'd gotten a bit of hair and blood from Hermione through Luli in order to key her into the wards. The twins were all to eager, but Mrs. Weasley had stated that it would be improper.
She'd received the invitation to spend the last month with the family, however, so after clearing it with Snape and getting her assignments she'd need to complete before the first day of term, as well as her school list, she'd started packing and then going to Madam Malkin's to get a dress made, paying the woman handsomly to have it delivered the first week in December. After learning of Snape's secrets, she knew about the triwizard's tournament, as she was going to be mostly in charge of keeping the healing potions for Madam Pompfrey for the tournament.
On August first, she and Luli apparated to the Burrow, arriving before any of their other guests. She spent some time with Ron, but the rest of her time was spent with Fred and George, the albinette cuddling close to them. When they were off doing chores, however, Celesta was reading. When she had been unpacking from her move, she'd found the most curious book in her bag.
Celesta hadn't recognized it at first sight too, which was weird for her. Molly found her reading it, and when Celesta wasn't watching, she'd smirked to herself and nodded. Answers would be given to the girl at last.
'Triads' was the title of her new book, Celesta devouring page after page.
'Usually wizards and witches will stay with one another in a monogamous relationship. But every once in a while a Triad is born. No more than a couple years apart, those in Triads are born within three days of each other. The most usual case of being in a Triad is with twins. Something about Magic finds that two souls, instead of one, is a match for what I call the fulcrum, or the youngest of the pairing.
I was able to observe such a Triad for a bit of time, and while they had marginally more magic than the average witch or wizard, when they performed spells together they were found to be more powerful than first assumed. One can take from this that a Triad wasn't to be messed with, as their magic becomes a physical manisfestation, a force field much more powerful than Protego.
It was observed that Triads felt at peace together, stating their magic felt at peace and sometimes others could see their magic manifesting as a golden glow and a myriad of their own magic colors, or auras, blending together around them when they felt safe and at ease. It could be noted...'
Celesta had finished the book in just a few days within finding it, and finally having a name for the sensation she felt around the twins, she murmured a little bit and felt content in the knowledge that it was meant to have happened. At night, she pretended to stay in Ginny's room, but never once did Molly complain about it, though she did place charms to alert her if anything more than snoffinf was happening in the twin's room.
Hermione arrived on August fourteenth, and they shared their summer homework essays to grade them, Harry arriving the sunday before the World Cup. They were sent to bed early that night, the twins in trouble for having given Dudley Dursley some of their sweets, a Ton-tongue toffee. Molly had even been upset enough that she'd told Celesta privately that in no certain terms would she be sleeping with Fred and George that night.
With a pout, Celesta had nodded, instead staying on their sofa that night, curled into a ball in silent protest. She must've slept fitfully, because when she felt arms picking her up, the albino didn't budge. In fact, with her magic settling inside her finally, she slipped deeper into sleep, her body getting jostled onto one of the twin's backs as they carried her.
She woke when she heard Amos Diggery shouting for them, drowsily blinking her eyes open before looking around. "We're here?" she asked, her voice heavy from sleep, and her eyes noting that George, who was walking beside her and Fred, carrying her parasol.
"Not yet, Love." He'd whispered, handing her purse over.
"We didn't know which was the potion you needed to take, Princess. Take it now and Hermione grabbed some toast for you, but we need to look for the portkey."
Celesta whined at those words, but she reached into her bag for her sunlight tolerance potion, putting the parasol in her bag in return. Grimacing, she nibbled the toast provided as everybody looked for it, but as she didn't know the location of the World Cup, she couldn't apparate. Growling a little, she went to comb through her hair, only to find that one of her twins must've for her, and it was even plaited back, as they knew she'd have an adverse reaction to the portkey.
Finally, just before it left, they found the old boot, Fred picking her up and carrying her like the princess he claimed she was over to it, everybody slipping a finger onto the musty old thing. She let go after she felt the hooking sensation, falling onto Fred and George before running a few feet away to get violently sick for a few minutes, Arthur coming over to help clean up the mess and make her presentable.
"Right. Well. Here you are..."
They split up from the Diggorys from there, Celesta downing a health potion in order to get her normal palor back, Fred and George patting her back gently as they made their way to the fields.
Harry had to help Arthur with the muggle currency, but then they received their directions, heading off. She scowled a little when she saw the ostentacious tent that could only be owned by the Malfoy's, before schooling her features as she went into the smaller girl's tent and claiming the one bed that wasn't a bunk in order to calm her stomach after travelling in such a way. Luli brought her lunch once it'd been prepared, Fred and George taking turns in bringing her tea.
They had a chance to go shopping, Celesta purchasing some Irish pride merchandise for the twins, but declined any for herself.
And then the horn blew, summoning the witches and wizards to the stadium in which the match would be played.
Author's Note: Hey guys! I'm terribly sorry I haven't posted in about a month or so! Life got busy, we're planning on moving to a new apartment, needed to furnish it, plus get last month rent for this place. On top of it all I wanted to post more with this chapter, but just haven't had the time to watch the movie for specific dialogues. Sadly, this will be the last time I post for a month or two, but don't worry! I haven't given up yet. I am still going to be working on this, but only once I've gotten everything settled in the new apartment. Move in date is July 1st, and I estimate it'll take until about August to get settled and everything done and dusted before I can get back to this, sadly.
Thank you, once again, to all who've favorited, reviewed, and followed. You all mean so much to me.
