Asuka loved her camping holidays.

They were becoming more frequent since Fairy Tail disbanded. It was beginning to feel like every time Asuka had a bad dream about her adoptive brothers and sisters, or her Mum and Dad had a nightmare, the next day they went camping.

They've been camping a lot recently.

Asuka doesn't mind, they're fun. And it's time with her parents she probably won't get again because when Fairy Tail comes back (and she was sure it would because Natsu-nii would never leave it like that) they would be too busy to spend this much time together.

Already today Asuka had giggled as her Dad swore while putting the tent up (and got smacked round the head by her Mum), had fun exploring the particular woods they were staying in, and had sometime practise with her guns.

Now it was one of her favourite parts of the holiday….

Hunting!

First, they go scouting for something edible. They have to be really quiet, which is something Asuka really struggles with because she always finds a question that she wants to ask, and creep around and they look for animal tracks.

They found some quite easily and Asuka got so interested in tracking the prints that her Dad had to grab her shoulders and pull her back several times when she almost walked into a tree or a bush.

The eleventh time he did that, he pressed his spatula to his lips and then pointed to the clearing ahead of them.

The animal was a strange one, Asuka couldn't remember what it was called but it looked mildly terrifying with its big fangs, large horns, and weird pebbly skin.

Her Dad suddenly put on his chef hat that he only wore while cooking and then licked his lips hungrily. "Dinner!" he cried out and he then charged out of the bush to chase the animal.

The let out a strangled shriek and began to ran away from Asuka's father as quickly as possible.

"COME BACK HERE AND LET ME EAT YOU!"

The animal squeaked in reply and ran faster, Asuka giggled as her father would catch up, try and take a swing at the animal with his frying pan, only to miss, and almost hit himself instead.

BANG!

Asuka stopped giggling when the animal suddenly dropped dead. Her eyes widened as the animal fell onto the floor with a loud thump and laid there motionlessly.

Her Mum stepped out into the clearing, her gun held up making it rather obvious who killed the animal. "Honestly dear," her Mum rolled her eyes, "you're a gunman. I don't know why you didn't shoot it yourself."

"Heh," her Dad laughed sheepishly, "I was so hungry that I forgot."

"Ah," her Mum sighed, "it's times like this that I'm sure Natsu's stupidity is contagious."

"Oi!"

Asuka and her mother both laughed at the indignant look on her father's face which became all the more indignant when Asuka uttered the next following words;

"Silly Daddy."
