KidsWBYungsta's Animation Multiverse: The Series – Season 1, Episode 8: Hyde and Go Makoto

On a regular evening in Dubba City, Daffy Duck and Porky Pig were in the middle of their usual nighttime surveillance, keeping an eye out for any suspicious activity around the block. Soon, they had gotten word that there was a disturbance at a local house near Acme Avenue. As Porky processed the announcement played on the radio, Daffy could only give a blasé look in response as he had heard those types of stories for years, but it never seemed to faze the duck by any means. Even when he had a close encounter with Witch Hazel all those years ago, the duck never fell victim to the hysteria of supernatural activity, though Bugs' cool-and-calm demeanor on the matter seemed to have an influence on his psyche.

Porky noticed Daffy drifting off into space while listening to the announcement, causing the pig to snap the duck back to reality as he said, "Hey, D-D-Daffy! Weren't you listening? There's something sc-sc-screwy going on up at that old haunted house at Acme Avenue. You don't think there's gh-gh-gh-gh—mysterious apparitions up there, do you?"

"Porky, please, if there's anything I've learned throughout my life in Dubba City, there's nothing to worry about when it comes to ghosts," Daffy said in a cool-and-collected tone. "Besides, most of the ghosts we've met over the years were a bunch of screwballs who were light in the belfry, if you know what I mean."

"Y-Y-You mean l-l-like you?" Porky said, sporting a playful smirk.

"Yeah, like me," Daffy said without skipping a beat, then he glared at Porky when he realized who the pig was referring to. "Ha ha, very funny. Are we going to check up on this place or not?"

"Alright, Daffy, whatever you say," Porky said as he and Daffy proceeded to drive up to the old house right off of Acme Avenue.

Right off of Acme Avenue, there lies a mysterious old haunted house that has remained an integral cornerstone for Dubba City every Halloween since its inception. While most of the Toons felt as though the place was nothing more than a harmless attraction to liven up the Halloween atmosphere, there was an ongoing fear that the house was more than what it appeared to be on the outside. Eventually, Porky and Daffy had arrived at the front of the house, Porky still rather suspicious about what to expect once they went inside.

"D-D-Daffy, you're positive that you don't believe in any ghosts, particularly any scary ones?" Porky asked.

"Porky, like I said earlier, if those ghosts in this old abandoned house were really scary, I'm pretty sure that you would be the first to know," Daffy said, then he proceeded to dress up in a ridiculous Ghostbuster costume and gave a confident smile as he said, "Whoo-hoo! Now, let's get in there and catch some ghosts!"

Porky just stood there dumbfounded as he watched Daffy rush into the house like there was no tomorrow, then he just rolled his eyes as he said to himself, "J-J-Just keep it to yourself, Porky. No need to sp-sp-sp-sp—verbalize your true thoughts on the matter…"

Before Porky could even lay one foot in the door, however, he was interrupted by Daffy running out of the house, grabbing Porky by his shirt collar and rushing into his car, saying frantically, "Heh-heh, on second thought, Porky, I guess you were right! There are some scary ghosts in this city!"

"Wait, D-D-Daffy, c-c-calm down!" Porky said, hoping to calm the screwball duck down from his mindless ramblings. "Wh-wh-what did you see in there?"

"No time, Porky! We gotta get outta here before they catch us!" Daffy said as he quickly put the pedal to the metal and drove away from the haunted house.

Although Porky would never figure out what Daffy saw in there that left him in shambles, there would be two groups of friends who would come to see what this mysterious haunted house had to offer… and why it was considered to be one of the scariest places in Dubba City…

The next day at the Warner Bros. Cartoon Tooniversity, most of the students were busy preparing for Halloween by helping put some of the decorations up in different areas on campus, helping to bring the Halloween spirit to the Tooniversity. As Ed and Eddy were walking down the halls to catch up with Double D, they were basking in the atmosphere created by the masterfully-placed Halloween decorations, causing Ed to jump up and yell, "It's the month of Halloween, Eddy! The one night of the year where ghosts and goblins come out to play!"

"Whoa, cool your jets there, Ed!" Eddy said, placing his hands on Ed's shoulders. "Halloween's not even here yet and we haven't come up with a plan that will make this year's Halloween the coolest one ever!"

"Ooh, ooh, are we going to set up a video game simulation where the kids have to fight against a bunch of vampires and ogres and evil witches?" Ed said.

Eddy just palmed his face and shook his head in response as he said, "Ed, do I need to remind you of what happened the last time we tried something like that?"

Ed thought about the infamous situation all those years ago where he dressed up as Lothar and beat up most of the cul-de-sac kids due to overloading on a bunch of horror movies, which led to them banding together to beat up Double D and Eddy. Although the Eds had been on better terms with the kids before they moved to Dubba City, Ed knew that he and Double D were trying to avoid another situation like that from ever happening again.

Ed chuckled warmly as he said, "Oh, yeah, uh… sorry about that, Eddy…"

"Ah, don't worry about a thing, Monobrow, 'cause I got a great idea for this year's Halloween event that's sure to scare the pants out of our friends and fellow Toons!" Eddy said. "With how successful our haunted house event is going to be, we'll be swimming in jawbreakers for weeks!"

"Actually, Eddy, with current exchange rates, more like an afternoon's worth…" Double D said as he caught up with his two friends. "I see that you two are basking in the Halloween glory presented here at the Tooniversity."

"Well, Ed was basking in it, Double D," Eddy said as he pushed Ed in front of him, then pointed to himself as he said in a confident tone, "I was thinking of a master plan that's sure to raise a little excitement around here in Dubba City."

Double D could only look past Eddy's over-enthusiastic smile as he said in a straightforward tone, "Eddy, don't tell me you're going to come up with a haunted house scam again."

Eddy's smile then turned to a look of shock as he said, "How'd you figure that out, Double D?"

"Oh, come now, Eddy," Double D said as he walked up to his locker to grab his books for Professor Wakeman's Toon Science class. "Haunted houses have been an integral part of a Halloween celebration for years. I was thinking that you were going to go over-the-top this year, like fooling most of our friends here with a map that would lead them to Spook-E-Ville or something to that nature."

"As if!" Eddy said as he and Ed caught up with Double D as he was walking to his Toon Science class. "Come on, Sockhead, you know that the key thing that makes a haunted house successful is to drum up a good scare! Just think: the scariest haunted house attraction to ever hit Dubba City, and everyone is so scared out of their wits, they'll have to say that 'Eddy's Master Emporium of Screams' is the coolest haunted house on the block!"

"Riveting, Eddy, but there is already a haunted house present in Dubba City," Double D said. "It's right off of Acme Avenue."

Double D's words seemed to spark a light of interest in Ed's head as he rushed up to his friend and said, "Wait! Are you talking about that super-spooky haunted house on the top of the hill right off of Acme Avenue, Double D?"

"Why, yes, Ed, that's the one," Double D said.

"Eddy, maybe you could host your haunted house adventure up there!" Ed said excitedly. "Maybe that'll help with the adrenaline rush to get everyone into the Halloween spirit."

"I don't know, Ed… I mean, I was thinking of using one of the houses already here for my haunted house scheme," Eddy said, rubbing his chin. "Besides, who would be willing enough to go through a house built like that old thing?"

Suddenly, the three Eds overheard a female voice, saying, "Come on, Eddy, don't tell me you're scared of that house off of Acme Avenue."

"Huh? Wha? Who said that?" Eddy said, looking around frantically for the source of the voice.

Soon, he was answered by Double D poking him on the head and pointing him to Minako, who was trying out a Halloween costume of her own: dressed up as Medusa. Before Eddy could burst out laughing and question Minako's fashion choice, Double D stepped up and said, "Oh, hello there, Minako. Um… do you mind me asking why you are wearing your Halloween costume this early?"

"Just trying to get into the Halloween spirit, Double D," Minako said with a smile. "I couldn't help but overhear this little conversation about a certain haunted house. Eddy, were you planning on hosting your haunted house event at that old house on the top of the hill?"

"Yeah, right," Eddy said, rolling his eyes. "As if my haunted house would be something like that old house filled with spider webs, bats flying all over the place and accompanied by thunderstorms…"

"Just like the opening titles of Scooby-Doo, Where Are You!, huh, Eddy?" Ed said with a smile.

Minako, Eddy and Double D just stared at Ed blankly for a moment, then Double D took a look at his watch and said, "Listen, Eddy, feel free to continue your conversation. I must hurry and get to my Toon Science class before Professor Wakeman flips her lid. You know how she is about the concept of punctuality…"

As soon as Double D left to get to his Robotics class, Eddy got the conversation back on track by saying to Minako, "Well, for your information, Minako, I strive to give my consumers the highest-quality they could find in a product, but of course, I wouldn't expect you to know that."

Minako was a bit thrown off by Eddy's declaration, but she decided to play along as she just sighed and said, "Yeah, I guess it's true, Eddy, but it must be saddening to your consumers—especially your friends—to find that the person they had trusted to give them a truly scary experience for Halloween is nothing more than a coward who is so scared to even host his haunted house event at the old house at the top of the hill."

Just as Minako turned away from Eddy's glance, she gave a quick peek to see if Eddy would budge or even challenge her statement… and hook, line and sucker—I mean, sinker, he did!

"Oh, so I see someone's trying to lay down a challenge, eh?" Eddy said as he walked up to Minako, giving a confident smile along the way. "Alright, then, Mina, I'll lay down a friendly little wager for you: I'll bet you that Ed, Double D and I could stay the night at the haunted house longer than you and your Sailor Guardian girlfriends."

"Really, Eddy? Oh, and I have to make this clear: the loser has to dress up as…" Minako said, then she pulled out a magazine in front of Eddy's face. "…these guys!"

Eddy could only give a blank stare at whom Minako was referring to in the magazine as he said, "The Goodfeathers? You mean to tell me that the loser has to dress up as the Goodfeathers? In that case, Minako… you've got yourself a bet! I can't wait to see the look on your and Makoto's faces when you have to see Usagi, Ami and Rei squabbling with each other like how Bobby, Pesto and Squit would!"

Minako gave an enchanted laugh in response as she said, "Oh, please, Eddy, I think that type of comic fighting is more up your alley. Besides, have you even seen your cartoons?"

As soon as Minako walked away, Eddy was about to respond, but he then stopped when he tried to figure out what Minako was talking about. Ed then jumped up to Eddy and said, "Hey, Eddy, how are we going to win the bet? I'm sure you've got one heck of a plan stored in that big scam book of yours, don't ya?"

"Ed, what scam book are you ta—My Scam Book? That's it! I'd tell you I love you, Ed, but I ain't that kinda guy!" Eddy said with a smile as he jumped into his backpack and pulled out his classic Book o' Scams. "I just knew this bad boy would come in handy for us again."

Ed leaned over Eddy and looked at the Book o' Scams, and said in an amazed tone, "Ooh… too cool, Eddy! Does your Book o' Scams have the element that will make our night at the house of the haunted a memorable one?"

Eddy gave a devious smirk as he wrapped his arm around Ed's shoulder and said, "Trust me, Ed, I have plenty of ideas that will not only scare the pants off of Minako and her Moonie pals, but we'll have a chance to humiliate them at their own game! C'mon, we gotta tell Double D about this!"

With that in mind, Eddy proceeded to grab Ed by his waist and stopped by the door of the Toon Science classroom, hoping to catch up with Double D in order to tell him about their latest scheme once that class had commenced.

After the day at the Warner Bros. Cartoon Tooniversity had commenced, some of the students had gathered at the Warnerlicious Sweet Spot to discuss some Halloween plans and get a good taste of some special Halloween-themed goodies that the Sweet Spot had in store. In one of the occupied booths, the Moonies were talking about Minako's Halloween bet with Eddy regarding the haunted house at Acme Avenue, inciting mixed reactions among the girls. While Usagi, Rei and Makoto wanted to beat Eddy at his own game, Ami tried her best to play the voice of reason as she said to Minako, "Oh, Minako, why did you have to rile Eddy up like that? You know how these types of situations end up…"

"Trust me, Ami, I know what I'm doing," Minako said in a reassuring tone. "Besides, if Eddy isn't scared to host his haunted house at the old house at the top of Haunted Hill, he'd have to stay the entire night at the house without leaving at any point."

Rei thought about the house that Minako was talking about, then she turned to Minako and said, "You know, I did hear about a few strange things that occurred inside that old house. Why would Eddy want to host his haunted house up there?"

"I was thinking that he wanted it to be genuine to the core," Minako said, shrugging her shoulders. "Come on, girls, this could be fun! It's not like anything's gonna happen when we spend the night up there!"

"'We'? Uh, Minako, just what do you mean by 'we'?" Usagi said, raising an inquisitive eyebrow. "You didn't drag us into this wager with Eddy, did you?"

Mina could only give a sheepish smile in response, inciting annoyed groans from the other girls as Minako said in a defensive tone, "Okay, so I did, but I promise you that this will be worth it in the end!"

"How, Mina? You know that Ed would be Eddy's ace in the hole for this bet because he's used to that scary stuff," Makoto said as she slumped in her seat. "The only one who would probably be scared out of their wits is Double D, but that's only if his obsession with cleanliness comes into the picture."

Makoto's words rang in Minako's head, then an idea popped inside her mind as she turned to the girls and said, "Wait, that's it, Makoto! That's how we'll be able to win this bet against Eddy!"

"What?"

"We have to scare the boys first before they could scare us!"

"Scare them first before they scare us? Minako, what makes you think that any of those Eds would do anything that would be considered really scary?" Rei said. "Besides, it's not like they could come up with another 'fake monster' scam that would keep us up in the middle of the night."

"Actually, that wouldn't be a bad idea on our end, Rei…" Usagi said, giving a devious smile.

"I WAS JUST KIDDING, USAGI!" Rei yelled, causing most of the people in the Warnerlicious Sweet Spot to stare at her weirdly, then she blushed as she cleared her throat and said, "Uh…"

"Listen, never mind that, Rei, you're on the right track here!" Minako said as she rubbed her chin while sporting a devious smirk. "If there's one thing I know about Ed, Edd and Eddy, they always seem to have a method to their madness, but as long as we manage to stay one step ahead of them, we'll be able to beat them at their own game."

"Well, what is your plan then, Mina?" Makoto asked, raising an eyebrow.

Minako proceeded to gather the girls into a huddle, whispering her plan to scare the wits out of the Eds during their night at the haunted house. Unbeknownst to the girls, Eddy and Ed were listening to their plans from afar, causing Eddy to give an annoyed burn of anger as he said, "I can't believe it! Minako had the nerve to fleece ME?! Well, Mina, like I always say, 'two can play at this game'! Good thing we've got Double D on our side, Ed, he'll be able to come up with the scariest contraptions to scare the wits out of those stupid Moonies."

Ed snickered for a moment, then he stopped as he looked at Eddy and said, "But, Eddy, what if the Moonies manage to put their brains together and scare each of us three in one fell swoop?"

"Ah, I wouldn't worry about that, Muttonhead, because we, the Eds, are smarter than…" Eddy said before he was interrupted by Ed saying, "…dodo birds?"

"No, Ed, we're smarter than…" Eddy said as he proceeded to pull Ed by his eyebrow as they left to go meet up with Double D.

"…report cards? The Tasmanian Devil?" Ed said, still trying to finish Eddy's riddle.

Moments later, nighttime had fallen across Dubba City and the winds were howling, the perfect atmosphere for the usual revelry and trickery to prepare for the impending Halloween madness. At the top of Haunted Hill, the Eds were making their way into entering the fabled haunted house while carrying their belongings to ensure a long, fun night… well, Eddy and Ed were busy running up to the top to get a good view while Double D had to carry all of their belongings in a big sleeping bag. Once Eddy and Ed made it to the porch of the house, Eddy shouted out to Double D, "Hurry up, Sockhead! We gotta get these pranks together before the Moonies show up!"

Double D was struggling under the weight of the bag as he said, "Coming, Eddy… you know, A LITTLE HELP WOULD REALLY BE APPRECIATED!"

Ed proceeded to carry the bag and Double D up to the front of the house, laying both down on the porch as Eddy rubbed his hands and laughed deviously, saying to Double D and Ed, "Well, this is it, boys: the notorious haunted house on top of Haunted Hill… the original home of Old Acme Ackerman… the home of many ghouls, ghosts and goblins…"

"You mean, we'll get to see a bunch of ghosts tonight, Eddy?!" Ed said in an excited tone, leaning into Eddy's face.

Double D rolled his eyes in response as he said, "How droll, Eddy… again, I ask, why did you think it was a good idea to take up Minako's challenge at spending the night at this haunted house? I mean, did you even check if the living conditions would be sanitary?"

"Ah, cool your jets, Sockhead," Eddy said as he rummaged through the big bag to find a pair of binoculars. "You know I'm only doing this stupid bet to get a sweet reward of jawbreakers at the end. That, and getting to humiliate those Moonies by having them dress as the Goodfeathers. Oh, you know that is going to be one for the ages after we win this thing!"

"Eddy, since when did Minako declare that they would even dress as the Goodfeathers if they lost?" Double D said.

Eddy was too entranced at finding the Moonies to even dignify Double D's question with a response of his own, looking all around Dubba City to see if they would even show up to hold their end of the bargain. Suddenly, Eddy saw that they were already on their way up the hill to spend the night at the house themselves, with Minako leading the charge, of course. Eddy quickly turned to the other two Eds and said, "Alright, boys, let's get ready for the scariest night of all our lives! Phase One of 'Scaring the Wits Out of the Sailor Guardians' shall now commence!"

As Eddy opened the door to lead his friends inside the house to set up their pranks, tricks and fake ghosts galore, he said to Double D, "Double D, feel free to embellish the details of this archaic apparition of a house."

As Ed and Double D walked inside to set up the practical jokes, Double D said in a sarcastic tone, "Boy, Eddy, 'archaic apparition'? Those tutoring lessons must be paying off."

While the Eds were setting up their bevy of haunted practical jokes inside the house, the Moonies had reached the porch, carrying their own bags as they would also be staying the night in this mysterious house. Minako took a deep breath of confidence as she thought to herself, "There it is, Minako… the notorious haunted house that has scared the wits of all those in Dubba City… the house that—"

"Hey, Minako! Uh, I'd hate to interrupt your personal monologue right now, but don't you think we should go ahead and get started with our practical jokes against the Eds?" Usagi said as she pulled out her own bag of scary tricks. "I've got a whole bag of tricks that could do just the thing!"

"Whoa, hold your enthusiasm, Usagi!" Minako said as she proceeded to walk into the house. "I'm sure the Eds haven't gotten a head start on their own…"

However, Minako was stopped when she walked inside and saw that the Eds had covered the entirety of the house with a wide variety of pranks and jokes related to Halloween. Even with all the stops the Eds had pulled, the girls were none too phased by them as they had seen jokes like this before during previous Halloween events. Usagi took note of the various dancing skeletons that Double D had strategically placed around the house, just brushing them off as she said, "Hey, girls, it looks like the Eds had invited Grim's cousins to spend the night with us!"

Rei pointed out a giant spider web that covered one of the doors as she said, "A giant spider web with a fake giant spider? Ha! Oldest trick in the book!"

Unbeknownst to the girls, Eddy was overhearing them dismissing his pranks and tricks as if they were elementary school gags, leaving him annoyed as he looked at Ed and Double D, and said, "I can't believe it… they're not even scared! Double D, I thought you said that those pranks were 100% scare-tastic!"

Double D just shrugged his shoulders in response as he said, "I'm sorry, Eddy, but I guess the girls have gotten too old to be scared by such things as dancing skeletons, giant spider webs and whatnot."

While Eddy just fumed with anger at his plan backfiring, Ed pulled out a Gatorade bottle filled with red liquid as he said, "Ooh, ooh, Double D! Couldn't we use this as fake blood?"

"Ed, wait! That's not fake blood; that was a formula I was working on for Toon Science class," Double D explained as he carefully pulled the bottle away from Ed's hand.

Eddy investigated the contents within the bottle as he looked at Double D and said, "What kind of formula is this? Are you trying to create another soda that would never lose its fizz?"

"No, Eddy, it's a formula that was supposed to… well, I can't really say for certain, but Professor Wakeman had stated to us in the Toon Science class that this formula was meant to—EDDY!" Double D explained until the bottle was taken away from him by Eddy.

Eddy looked at the bottle a little closer, then he gave a devious smirk as he looked at Double D and Ed, inciting confusion that led to subsequent horror from Double D as he quickly said, "Eddy, you can't do that! I don't want the girls to be affected by this concoction! Who knows what will happen if any of them had been hit by one drop?"

"Ah, lighten up, Sockhead," Eddy said as he patted Double D's head, then added in a reassuring tone, "Besides, this stuff's supposed to be for comedic purposes, so why not just sit back, relax and watch—"

"Makoto turn into a horrible, grueling monster?" Ed said loudly, causing Eddy to quickly close his dimwitted friend's mouth in response.

"Shut up, you idiot!" Eddy whispered, then he specifically targeted Makoto as he added in a devious tone, "You'll spoil the impending surprise."

Before Double D could jump up and stop Eddy from following through on his plan, the shortest of the Eds proceeded to throw the Gatorade bottle at Makoto's head, hitting her hard as it jumped from her head and into her hands. Makoto rubbed her head as the other girls gathered around her and Ami said, "Makoto, are you alright?"

Makoto gave a reassuring smile to Ami and said, "Yeah, Ami, I'm fine. I wonder where this Gatorade bottle came from…"

Makoto then looked at the label attached to it that said "Property of Double D: Toon Science Project". As Makoto could only raise an eyebrow in confusion, Rei just looked at it and said, "Well, it does seem harmless enough, but why would Double D need this for Toon Science class?"

"Unless he was creating a cure for the common cold, I don't know why he would need a bottle for this," Usagi said.

"Oh, well, I guess he was in the process of making a delicious drink that would keep its flavor without any sugar or carbs," Makoto said, shrugging her shoulders. "Wouldn't hurt to give it a taste, though."

Before Makoto could take a sip, however, she and the other girls were surprised to see Double D pop up from seemingly out of nowhere, trying his best to stop Makoto as he said, "Wait, Makoto, please don't drink that! I haven't tested the formula's stability yet! Who knows what will happen if anyone takes a sip of that concoction?"

"Huh? Wha? Double D, what are you talking about?" Makoto asked, raising an inquistive eyebrow.

Double D just sighed as he decided to finally come clean, saying to Makoto, "Well, I guess I should tell the truth then: Makoto, that formula I was working on was meant to—"

However, just as Double D was about to reveal the purpose of this formula, he was quickly stopped by Eddy placing his hand on his mouth as he said, "Ah, don't worry about Double D's ramblings, Mako. He was talking about how he has created the world's most-delicious soft drink that will surely grow into a franchise of successful spin-off flavors that will come to know the world over!"

"And it's good, too!" Ed said, giving a thumbs-up.

"Really? Is that so?" Makoto said, then she walked up to Double D and pet his head as she said sweetly, "Aw, that's so sweet of you, Double D! I don't know what you were so afraid of with this formula."

Rei then walked up to Double D and Eddy as she added in a reassuring tone, "Yeah, Double D, I'm sure it's not like this formula is going to turn anyone into some sort of hideous monster or anything like that, is it?"

Double D started sweating bullets upon hearing Rei's comment, but Eddy just smirked deviously as he snickered at the Moonies' ignorance to the matter and said to himself, "Just wait until nighttime falls."

However, Eddy's comment was heard by Usagi, who raised an eyebrow and added an innocent "Hm?"

Before Eddy could respond, Makoto had finished drinking Double D's mysterious formula, giving the bottle back to Double D as she said, "Well, Double D, I could safely say that I didn't feel any strange side effects from your latest concoction."

"Oh, dear, this is not good!" Double D said as he looked at the empty bottle, sweating nervously.

His reaction seemed to pique Ami's interest as she figured that there was more to the formula than what Double D was able to tell and what Eddy had claimed it was. However, before she could question Double D on the formula, Eddy proceeded to push Double D and Ed up the stairs as he said, "Uh, anyway, sorry for interrupting you girls. Hope you all have a good night's rest! Besides, I think you're gonna need it…"

Moments later, in the Eds' room, Ed and Eddy were getting ready to kick back and relax for the rest of the night, but Double D was still a nervous wreck about Makoto drinking his mysterious formula, thinking to himself, "Oh, dear, what do I do? What do I do? I should've just went ahead and told Makoto the truth! Oh, if the girls find out what that formula really does to a person, they'll pummel myself, Ed and Eddy into bits when they figure out what happened to Makoto!"

"Hey, Double D, do you mind helping me with the—" Eddy began to say before he was interrupted by Double D saying, "OKAY, I ADMIT IT, THAT FORMULA DOES TURN YOU INTO A MONSTER!"

Eddy and Ed were taken aback by their friend's reaction as Eddy said in a reassuring tone, "Slow down, Double D, I was just gonna ask if you could help hook up this widescreen TV for me?"

Double D was dumbfounded by Eddy's request as he asked, "You seriously packed a widescreen TV for this trip? How do you plan on hooking it up, Eddy? I don't think this house has the right type of wiring to handle a TV of that ilk."

During Eddy and Double D's conversation, Ed proceeded to get the television hooked up as he said, "I got it, Eddy! Hooked up with the Surround Sound speakers and the best picture quality a TV could have."

"Thatta boy, Ed!" Eddy said as he jumped onto the couch and turned on the TV, flipping through channels until he stopped on the Cartoon Network, where they were hosting a marathon of some classic Looney Tunes cartoons. "Oh, cool, I was hoping that we wouldn't miss Hyde and Go Tweet!"

Hyde and Go Tweet? Huh, how convenient at a time like this.

"Isn't that the one where Tweety turns into a super scary Hyde monster and chases Sylvester around a building, scaring the wits out of him?" Ed asked.

"Yep! Man, what I wouldn't give to see the looks on those Guardians' faces when they see what will happen to Makoto!" Eddy said as he and Ed engaged in uproarious laughter.

However, Double D just broke into a cold sweat, thinking about the possible outcomes of what will happen if the Moonies came face-to-face with the Hyde Makoto. When the pressure of the situation became too overwhelming for him, he excused himself out of the room to get a glass of water.

Meanwhile, speaking of the Moonies, they were engaging in a little slumber party to pass the time before the morning came, even playing a little music and playing a few classic games along the way. However, Makoto was not acting like her usual self this evening as she was acting more like a Looney Tune throughout most of the night since drinking the formula that Double D had made. At first, she assumed that it was just the excitement of the evening that was making her act all giddy, but she eventually realized that Double D's original warning did have some weight to it.

While the girls were engaged in a game of Truth or Dare, Usagi quickly picked up on Makoto's erratic behavior as she walked up to her friend and asked, "Hey, Makoto, are you feeling okay?"

"Huh? Oh, yeah, Usagi, I'm fine," Makoto said in a reassuring tone, rubbing her head for good measure. "I guess I'm just not feeling like my usual self tonight."

"Well, you were hiccupping quite a bit when we were going upstairs and you had a couple of laughing fits where you were acting more like Daffy Duck… you're not turning into a monster, are you?" Usagi said, piecing together the different elements of Makoto's erratic behavior.

Makoto recoiled at this accusation as she said, "What, a monster? Me? No way! What are you talking about, Usagi? If I was turning into a monster in any way, shape or form, I'm sure you guys would be the first to know."

Just as she was talking, however, Makoto noticed that her hair was starting to get frizzy and her arms had gone down to her feet, which was not lost on her friends as Ami turned and rushed up to her, asking in concern, "Oh, my goodness! Makoto! You're not getting sick, are you?"

"Girls, girls, what's going on? I told you I'm fine!" Makoto said in an annoyed tone. "What's with all the—"

"Hold that thought, Makoto, I'm sensing some mysterious dark energies powering through your body," Rei said as she felt a mysterious omen from Makoto's body. "Maybe this is what Double D was trying to warn us about. Why did we decide to take Eddy's word?"

"I'm getting a bad feeling about this one, girls," Minako said as she twirled her hair for a bit.

Makoto could only leave the room to go to the bathroom as she said, "Listen, ladies, it's all in your head! I promise you that nothing is wrong with me!"

However, unbeknownst to Makoto, her transformation was far from over as the other Moonies noticed that her body was changing in mysterious ways. Exchanging looks with each other, the girls decided to follow Makoto to make sure that she didn't decide to take a detour and beat up the Eds without their knowledge.

While Makoto was making her way to the bathroom, Double D was downstairs in the kitchen of the haunted house, getting a glass of water in order to calm his nerves about the situation at hand. After taking a quick sip, he said to himself, "Just calm down, Eddward, I'm sure the formula would not be too harmful. Besides, Professor Marvin specifically mentioned that the formulas shouldn't have any debilitating effects on any person, provided that there would be someone crazy enough to consume it."

Even when Double D was trying his hardest to keep his composure, he couldn't help but go back to thinking about what would happen once the formula really took effect on Makoto, which could lead to a number of side effects affecting her entire body, mind and soul. Hoping to keep his stress under control, Double D decided to get another glass of water, but he was stopped when he heard a menacing panting sound. Looking around the kitchen, he thought it was just his imagination, but just as he opened the refrigerator door to get some water, he felt a drop of drool landing on his arm.

"What the—oh, this is unsanitary!" Double D said as he pulled out a napkin and wiped the drool from his arm, adding, "I can't believe that people do not think of keeping their mouth closed when they—!"

However, he stopped when he realized that there was a monster in his presence as he slowly looked above him to come face-to-face with the Hyde Makoto, who was staring at him with a menacing glare as she added, "Surprise, surprise, Double D!"

Double D reacted to seeing the Hyde Makoto by doing what any sane person would do when face-to-face with a monster: literally crumbling his body to individual pieces, though his head kept his signature ski hat intact. However, before Hyde Makoto could get a good shot at grabbing Double D, the brainy Ed boy quickly pulled himself back together as he ran out of the kitchen and ran back upstairs, so he could warn the other two Eds of Makoto's transformation.

"Oh, dear, I should've known that the side effect would turn somebody into a hulking, gruesome monster!" Double D said, tears flying from his eyes as he tried to get back to the room to warn Ed and Eddy in time. "Oh, why did I think that this would be such a good idea? Now, the other Sailor Guardians will surely beat up Ed, Eddy and myself for this! I just hope that they will be understanding and sympathetic enough to accept my dearest, sincerest apology! I didn't want to cause any trouble: it was only my class project that just ended up in the wrong hands at the wrong place at the wrong time! I can't just—Whoa!"

While Double D was rambling, he had unintentionally ran into Usagi, Ami, Rei and Minako, all of whom had already transformed into their Sailor Guardian forms. Once Double D regained consciousness, he was surprised to see the Sailor Guardians as he instantly got up and went to his knees, begging for mercy as he pleaded, "Oh, please have mercy, girls! I was trying to warn Makoto of the impending side effects, but I didn't think it was going to turn her into a gruesome monster! I've gotta warn Ed and Eddy before they get beaten into a pulp! Oh, Eddy's going to kill me if he finds out that—"

Sailor Mercury quickly calmed Double D down as she rubbed his head and said, "Whoa, whoa, calm down, Double D! Just talk slowly: what's going on?"

"Yeah, and what about what happened to Sailor Jupiter?" Sailor Mars said, giving Double D a stern look.

Double D tried his best to avoid Sailor Mars' glare, but he could feel Sailor Mars staring right into his soul, so he instantly broke down and said, "Alright, alright, I ADMIT IT! Okay, I was working on this formula for Professor Wakeman's Toon Science class that was surely going to impress the class, but I didn't think about any side effects that would come from it as I was writing down the ingredients for its mixture. See, that's why I had it in the Gatorade bottle because I was hoping to get some extra work done to it while Ed, Eddy and I were spending the night here in this haunted mansion, but Eddy beat me to it when he realized that I had it in my backpack. I tried my best to warn you ladies about the mixture, but Eddy tried to brush it off as if it was some sort of new-and-improved soft drink that would never lose its flavor. Are you listening to me, ladies? Believe me as I speak: Makoto has turned into a hulking, gruesome monster like Mr. Hyde as we speak!"

As Double D finished his explanation, pulling his ski hat over his eyes and shivering in fear as he prepared for the worst, the other Sailor Guardians exchanged looks with each other as Sailor Moon walked up to Double D and said, "Now, Double D, let me see if I got this straight here? You mean to tell me that, because of those symptoms Makoto was exhibiting when she got up here—the laughing fits, the constant hiccupping, the brazen appearance—she has officially turned into a monster right under our eyes?"

Double D wordlessly nodded his head as he started hearing some footsteps come up the stairs, then he quickly jumped into Sailor Moon's arms as he screamed, "THERE! THERE SHE COMES! HYDE MAKOTO IS COMING FOR US!"

Before Sailor Moon could respond to Double D's comment, the other Guardians and Double D were surprised to see that Makoto, back as her normal Sailor Jupiter self, had actually turned back to normal, right into her Sailor Jupiter form for good measure. The other Guardians were confused by this sudden change as Sailor Venus walked up to the shivering Double D and said while pointing at Sailor Jupiter, "Uh, Double D, is that the monster you said Makoto was going to turn into?"

Double D looked up to see Sailor Jupiter as her usual self, eyes bugging out in surprise as he just saw her turn into a Hyde-style monster a few minutes ago when he was in the kitchen. Jumping down from Sailor Moon's shoulders, Double D tried to make sense of how Sailor Jupiter went from being a hulking monster to back to normal in just a short amount of time, saying, "Wait a minute, but M-M-Makoto, I just—I mean, you were just—but how did—when did—did you… oh, dear, am I growing so weary…"

Sailor Jupiter stared at Double D in complete confusion for a moment, then giggled as she pet his head and said, "Oh, Double D, I'm sure it was just your imagination. Besides, I think that the atmosphere of this place is starting to get to you."

"But, Makoto, I… I mean, you literally turned into a hulking, gruesome, Hyde-type monster just earlier," Double D said in a tone mixed with astonishment and light surprise, rubbing his chin as he added, "Strange… unless that formula's after effects are only temporary."

"Hey, Sockhead, you still downstairs?" Eddy's voice called as he and Ed eventually caught up with Double D and the Sailor Guardians.

"Who turned into a monster? I heard something about a monster around here," Ed said excitedly as he looked through every nook and cranny to find the alleged monster.

Eddy just looked at Ed in confusion, then he looked at Double D to get an answer, to which Double D then whispered to Eddy in response, "Um, Eddy? I think that formula is starting to take its hold on Makoto."

Eddy's eyes bugged out in surprise as he quietly said to Double D, "Wait, you mean to tell me that that formula of yours actually turned her into a monster?"

"Well, for a couple of minutes anyway, but… yes, it did," Double D said quietly.

Eddy looked at his friend dumbfounded for a moment, then he jumped for joy as he laughed and said, "Ha ha ha ha! I knew you'd pull through with that stupid class project of yours! Now, we have a great chance of winning that bet!"

"Eddy, how could you possibly think of winning some stupid bet at a time like this?" Double D said in a tone of shock. "Makoto's life could be in peril when that Hyde side of her personality starts taking over her body!"

"I know, this is going to be good!" Eddy said as he proceeded to (somehow) shake Sailor Jupiter around like a soda bottle, much to the annoyance of the other Sailor Guardians and Double D. "Don't worry, Mako, you'll be our golden meal ticket to giving those Guardians a real good scare tonight!"

Ed decided to help in his own special way by jumping onto Sailor Jupiter and Eddy, hoping to speed up the process. Double D just sighed in annoyance as Sailor Mars pulled Ed and Eddy off of her fellow Guardian, saying in an annoyed tone, "Listen, you two, I don't know what you both had up your sleeves, but I'm telling you it's not going to work!"

"Oh, come on, Sailor Mars," Eddy said, giving a smug grin in response. "You're just jealous because you know I'm the man. Right, Ed?"

"Eddy's the man!" Ed said without skipping a beat.

Sailor Mars proceeded to just drop Eddy and Ed to the floor as she walked up to Sailor Jupiter and said, "Hey, Jupiter, are you going to be alright for the rest of the night?"

Sailor Jupiter just rubbed her head as she said, "I don't know, Mars, but I sure hope so. C'mon, let's just hurry up and go to bed before everyone starts getting all stir crazy."

Taking note of the lightly-annoyed tone in her voice during that last statement, the other Guardians decided to follow suit, but not before Double D rushed to stop Moon and Mercury in their tracks, saying in a concerned tone, "Wait a minute, ladies! What if Makoto wakes up in the middle of the night and turns into Hyde Makoto again?"

"Double D, don't worry," Sailor Moon said in a reassuring tone. "I'm sure that was just a temporary side effect from that formula you created. I'll bet you that she'll be back to her normal self in no time."

"But—" Double D began to say before he was gently silenced by Sailor Moon, who gave him a knowing smile in response as she caught up with the other Guardians in their room.

Double D could only give a hopeful look at Sailor Mercury, who then knelt down to his level and said, "Don't worry, Double D, if something strange starts happening to Sailor Jupiter in the middle of the night, I'll make sure that the girls and I let you three know."

Double D gave a sigh of relief as Eddy jumped into the conversation and rudely said, "Yeah, yeah, yeah, whatever, Sailor Mercury! We don't need your stinkin' sympathy—we're lookin' for comedy. Go on ahead with your friends and I'm sure things will be back to normal in the morning."

As Sailor Mercury left to catch up with her friends, the Eds proceeded to make their way back into their room, Double D still trying to figure out how the formula's side effects wore off so fast.

"I just don't get it," Double D said. "Usually, when someone drinks a Hyde formula like that, you'd think they would stay in that form for a while until something happens to snap them back to their old self, but I guess that—"

While Double D was musing about this, he was interrupted by Eddy stopping him in his thought process as he said, "Ah, would you stop contemplating about that Hyde formula for a minute, Sockhead? Just think, we're about minutes away from winning that bet against Minako, and we're going to see those Guardians dress up in humiliating costumes before Halloween night!"

Double D rolled his eyes in response as he said, "Like I said, Eddy, I've got more important things to worry about than some trivial bet about staying in a haunted house. I've got to come up with a cure that will change Makoto back to normal before that Hyde personality takes over her body for good."

"I don't know, Double D, that might be kinda cool," Ed said with a smile.

Eddy gave a smirk in response as he added, "Check's in the mail, Ed."

Double D could only glare at Ed and Eddy as he made his way back to the room where the Eds were staying, then he told his two friends, "You two keep an eye out for anything suspicious. I'll be back in our room, working on the cure."

Eddy just laughed off Double D's concern as he said, "C'mon, Double D, you've got nothing to worry about! I'm sure that Makoto's already back to her old boy-crazy self! Besides, what's she gonna do if Ed and I run into her as Hyde Makoto? Crush us to death as if she was behind us right now? Ha! As if she would be stupid enough to do something like that to the Amazing Eds!"

While Eddy was speaking to Double D, Ed was laughing along until he noticed that Hyde Makoto was standing right behind him. When he looked up to take one good look at her, he started to shiver as he went up to Eddy and poked him on the back, saying, "Uh, Eddy?"

"Oh, what? Is the big bad Hyde Makoto going to slice our heads off as if she was the Grim Reaper?" Eddy said as he proceeded to laugh even harder.

"E-E-Eddy…" Ed said, poking Eddy's back once again.

This time, Eddy realized that Ed was trying to get his attention as he said, "What is it, Burrhead?"

Ed pointed out the presence of Hyde Makoto, who was giving a menacing smile as she said with an evil laugh, "Well, if it isn't the unflappable Eddy! Oh, and I see you brought your little friend with you, too!"

"HYDE MAKOTO?!" Eddy said as he reared back and jumped up in shock, then he tried to cool his nerves by nervously stating, "Listen, I wasn't intending to give you that formula, Mako, honest…"

Eddy then pulled Ed right in front of him as he added, "…but Ed here just wanted to find a way to liven up the evening. He did…"

After a minute of silence from Hyde Makoto and the two Eds, Ed finally broke the silence by shouting, "SPONGE STAMPEDE!"

Once the two Eds ran off, Hyde Makoto decided to give chase as she followed the two Eds all over the house. While she tried to find where Ed and Eddy were hiding, the two Eds just so happened to be hiding inside one of the rooms, peeking their heads out to see if the coast was clear. Eddy then looked up at Ed and said, "Y'know, Ed, maybe letting Makoto drink Double D's Hyde formula wasn't such a good idea…"

Much to Eddy's surprise, Ed gave him an indignant look in response as he said, "Oh, now you decide to draw the line here, Eddy?!"

Eddy was thrown off by Ed's choice of words as he said, "Ed, is that you?"

"Listen, Eddy, if we're expecting to make it through the night alive before Double D produces the cure, we've got to stop this monster by any means necessary!" Ed said in a confident tone.

"Well, Ed, how do you propose we—" Eddy began to say, then his eyes bugged out when he noticed that Hyde Makoto was leering over the two, somehow finding her way inside the room. "Uh, Ed? Don't look behind you, but—"

"What is it, Eddy? Did Santa Claus decide to—" Ed said, going back to his usual carefree self until he saw Hyde Makoto looming right above him and Eddy.

The two Eds screamed in terror as they burst through the door and ran away from Hyde Makoto, the latter of whom continuing her pursuit of the two Eds.

Meanwhile, the Sailor Guardians had gotten back up and searched for Sailor Jupiter, thinking that she had turned into her monster self once again to chase down Ed, Edd and Eddy. During their search, they had run into Ed and Eddy, who had come into contact with Hyde Makoto minutes ago. Upon crashing into the two Eds, the girls rubbed their heads and groaned in annoyance as Sailor Venus quipped, "Okay, how many times is this going to happen to us in the same night?"

"Listen, girls, now is not the time for joking around about a running joke!" Eddy said frantically. "Sailor Jupiter has definitely turned into a monster!"

"Yeah, and she looks exactly like the monster form of the hero in The Night of the Living Radioactive Sluggers II: The Second Coming!" Ed said, even pulling out his comic book for good measure.

The Sailor Guardians looked on in surprise as they got into their battle stances as Sailor Moon said, "Well, if that's the case, looks like we'll have to beat this monster out of Makoto and bring her back to her normal self once and for all!"

Eddy then turned back to his cynical self as he pulled out a chair and grabbed a bag of popcorn, saying to himself, "Oh, this is going to be good!"

Ed tried his best to stop the Guardians from doing anything that would cause serious harm to Makoto, saying to Sailor Moon, "Wait, Sailor Moon! What if this Hyde Makoto ends up overpowering all of you and cooking her into her evil stew, so she could eat you all for supper like the giant Swedish meatball tried to do Eddy?!"

Before Sailor Moon could give a response to Ed's query, Eddy quickly pulled Ed out of the way as he said, "Get out of the way, Ed! You're going to miss the show!"

Soon, when the Sailor Guardians got into their battle stances once again, they were surprised to see that Sailor Jupiter had turned back into her normal self, with Sailor Jupiter herself saying, "Sheesh! Is that stuff supposed to be that—oh! Uh, hi, girls, what's going on?"

Eddy just spit out his popcorn in disgust as he said, "Oh, come on, right when the biggest battle of the night was about to go down!"

Ed, thinking he was going to save the Sailor Guardians from impending doom, jumped onto Sailor Jupiter and proceeded to pull on her face as he said in a tone of determination, "Nice try, evil Hyde Makoto! I can see through your cheesy disguise!"

"Ed! Wait, stop! It's me! Sailor Jupiter!" Sailor Jupiter cried as Ed was pulling on her face.

Ed then stopped when he realized that it was Sailor Jupiter in her normal form, then he smiled with glee as he hugged Sailor Jupiter and said, "Oh, goody-goody, Sailor Jupiter! The monster didn't eat you alive!"

"Monster? Are you guys still hooked up on this 'monster' thing?" Sailor Jupiter asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Oh, cut the nonsense, Sailor Jupiter!" Eddy said as he walked up to Sailor Jupiter, poking her on the chest as he added, "I know that you turned into a monster from drinking Double D's Toon Science concoction and there was no way you were able to turn back to normal in such a short amount of time!"

"Whoa, whoa, whoa! Eddy, if I did happen to turn into a monster—and I'm not saying that I did—don't you think that I would've remembered anything about that?" Sailor Jupiter asked.

"Aha! So, you do remember turning into a monster!" Eddy said, then he glared at the Sailor Guardians as he added, "I see what game you girls are playing now! You girls are trying to play dumb about Makoto turning into a Hyde-type monster, so you could scare us out of our minds and manage to win the bet with ease! Well, I'm telling you ladies now: you might have been able to fool Double D, but you'll never get away with that on me or Ed! Right, Ed?"

However, Eddy didn't hear a response from Ed, surprising him and the other Guardians when they realized that Ed and Sailor Jupiter had disappeared. Eddy looked around frantically for Ed as he turned to the Guardians and asked, "Where'd they go?"

"I don't know, Eddy, they were just here a second ago," Sailor Mars said as she looked around for Ed and Sailor Jupiter. "Come on, Sailor Jupiter, I know you and Ed are just playing games. You can come out now."

No response from either Ed or Sailor Jupiter.

"C'mon, Sailor Jupiter and Ed, come out, come out, wherever you are!" Sailor Venus said.

Still no response.

The other Guardians and Eddy were starting to get a little nervous as Sailor Mars leaned towards Eddy and said, "Uh, Eddy, you mean to tell me that Sailor Jupiter had really turned into a monster from Double D's formula this whole time?" Eddy just stood there, dumbfounded at Sailor Mars' question, then he motioned for Sailor Mars to get a little closer, then he leaned towards her ear and…

"ISN'T THAT WHAT I TRIED TO TELL YOU JUST A FEW SECONDS AGO?!"

Sailor Mars was left in a daze upon Eddy's comment, then Sailor Mercury stepped in between the two and said, "Alright, Eddy, just calm down. Well, now we know about the situation at hand, we gotta find Sailor Jupiter and figure out a cure that can turn her back to normal before she could hurt anybody else."

"Ah, don't worry about that, Sailor Mercury," Eddy said in a blasé tone. "Double D's already on it. All we gotta do is just catch the scary girl and everything will come together smoothly."

"Well, I hope you're right about this, Eddy, because—" Sailor Moon said, then she felt herself getting grabbed from behind by a mysterious figure.

Eddy and the other Sailor Guardians stopped when they noticed that Sailor Moon had disappeared out of thin air, then the same figure proceeded to capture Mars, Mercury and Venus in one fell swoop, leaving Eddy as the only one left. Upon coming to this realization, Eddy just started to sweat nervously as he started to hear the voices of Ed and the other Sailor Guardians crying for help, moving around nervously as he bumped into Hyde Makoto, who leered at him threateningly while sporting a devious smile on her face.

Eddy laughed nervously to keep a cool front, but then he proceeded to run off in fear as he tried to rescue Ed and the other Guardians, while also looking for Double D to see if he created the cure to this maniacal beast yet. However, every door he ran into, he ended up running into Hyde Makoto behind them, causing him to slam the door in fear and run into another one. Eventually, Eddy found himself backed into a wall as Hyde Makoto walked up to him menacingly.

Eddy just broke down to his knees, pleading for mercy as he said, "Please, Makoto, I'm sorry! I just wanted to liven up our evening with a few practical jokes, but I didn't think it was gonna go that far!"

Hyde Makoto continued to walk up to Eddy in a threatening way, making it seem as if Eddy was a goner and was on his last rope. However, much to Eddy's surprise, he and Hyde Makoto heard a familiar Bronx-Brooklyn voice say, "Hey, Makoto, we've got a nice bouquet of roses for ya!"

The mention of roses seemed to catch Hyde Makoto's attention as she smelled the sweet scent of the roses and proceeded to float her way to where the voice came from, leaving Eddy in confusion as he decided to follow suit and said in a cool-and-collected tone, "Huh, that was easier than I thought."

In the haunted house's kitchen, it was revealed that Double D had recruited Bugs, Daffy and Porky to help in luring Makoto downstairs to give her the cure and remove the Hyde Makoto out of her body. Double D happened to be holding a bouquet of roses by a yardstick as he turned to Bugs, Daffy and Porky, and said, "They say that the scent of one's personal belongings always leaves one yearning for their natural habitat. Hopefully, Makoto is able to knock the Hyde out of her body and back to her normal self."

"Good thing you called us in to help with the payoff, doc," Bugs said, then he called out to Porky and Daffy, "Hey, Porky, Daffy, do you two see Makoto yet?"

Porky and Daffy just so happened to be leading Hyde Makoto into the kitchen as Daffy said, "Hey, don't worry, Bugs, we've got her right where we want her. Who knew she'd still be so peaceful, even when she turns into a hulking, hideous monster against her will?"

"An interesting q-q-q—interesting q-q-q—a worthy enigma, Daffy," Porky said as he and Daffy led Hyde Makoto into the kitchen where Bugs and Double D were standing.

Hyde Makoto then melted into one of the kitchen chairs, then Double D placed a funnel into her mouth as he pulled out the cure and said, "Oh, I just hope this works."

"Let's hope so, doc," Bugs said. "I don't want to have the Sailor Guardians spend the next couple of cartoons stressing and spiraling into depression over the potential loss of one of their teammates."

As Double D poured the cure down into the funnel, Hyde Makoto proceeded to drink the whole thing until it was all gone. When some time had passed with no results, Double D and the three Looney Tunes were surprised to see that Makoto had officially turned back to normal! Even though her appearance was left a little frazzled, she was amazed to see that she was finally back to her regular self, even saying, "Wow… what a hangover… Minako, never remind me to go out with you for a night of drink—wait, what the? What the heck just happened here?"

"Eureka! The cure worked! The cure worked!" Double D said as he proceeded to give a warm hug to Makoto, even adding with a smile, "Oh, Makoto, thank goodness you're back to normal!"

Makoto was confused by Double D's reaction, but she reciprocated his hug as she said with a warm smile, "Aw, it's good to be back to normal, Double D. Hey, I gotta tell ya: whatever you were intending to do with that formula, I must say that it did work wonders in turning me into a monster."

"A monster? You mean to tell me that Double D managed to turn you into a monster tonight?" Daffy said in a surprised tone.

"Well, if I know Double D as well as I do, I'm pretty sure that it wasn't his intention in the first place," Makoto said while smiling sheepishly. "I guess I should've heeded his warning when he mentioned some particular side effects that would come from drinking his mixture."

Soon, Makoto's tone turned to worry as she looked around frantically and said in a concerned tone, "Wait a minute, where are the girls?!"

"The girls? I thought they were—oh, dear, where's Ed and Eddy?!" Double D said as he and Makoto rushed upstairs to find out what had happened to their friends.

Once they had gotten upstairs and caught up with Eddy, the three eventually found Ed and the other Sailor Guardians locked into one of the rooms, all landing on top of each other as they got out. While the Sailor Guardians could only groan in light annoyance, Ed just laughed as he said, "Too cool! Do it again! Do it again!"

Double D and Eddy just shook their heads, while Makoto gave an enchanted laugh as she helped the girls up and said, "Well, I can say that at least somebody had some fun tonight."

"Fun? You mean to tell me that you call this—" Eddy began to say before he was interrupted by Double D covering his mouth.

"Please excuse Eddy," Double D said, then he cleared his throat as he said, "Listen, Makoto, I just want to apologize for not warning you sooner about that mixture's side effects. See, I didn't think that it was going to turn anyone into a vicious monster of sorts. It just needed some fine tuning to avoid that as a possible outcome."

"Oh, it's okay, Double D," Makoto said as she rubbed Double D's ski hat. "I gotta admit that it was pretty cool being a monster for most of the night. Besides, it was fun to give Minako and Eddy a good scare!"

Minako was taken aback by Makoto's response as she said, "Hey, why did I have to be the one to get that much of a scare? I wasn't the one who turned you into a monster in the first place!"

"No, but you and Eddy were the ones who instigated this stupid bet in the first place," Makoto said, shooting her eyes at Minako.

Before Minako could shoot back with a response, Ami quickly covered her mouth as she said, "Well, it's good to know that Double D was able to turn you back to normal, Makoto. I just wish we had been able to do something about it sooner."

"Well, what else were we supposed to do, Ami?" Usagi said, shrugging her shoulders. "We didn't even know about Mako's transformation until it was too late."

"Well, the good thing about it is, at least we won't have to deal with anything really scary for the rest of the night," Double D said in a reassuring tone.

However, both the Eds and the Sailor Guardians were surprised to see three ghosts looming over them as one of them said, "Well, now, I wouldn't say that…"

Soon, both groups just stood there, stunned in shock as Minako leaned towards Eddy and whispered, "Uh, Eddy, what about say about us ending this stupid bet and going back home like nothing happened?"

"I'll have to agree with you on that note, Mina," Eddy whispered back.

Soon, the Eds and the Sailor Guardians all proceeded to run out of the haunted house upon encountering the three ghosts, screaming for their lives while not even caring about the outcome of the bet they had set up. Bugs, Daffy and Porky walked outside to see the commotion, then laughed to themselves as Bugs said, "Oh, brother, when will those kids learn that there's nothing to worry about in this house? Oh, well, at least we were able to help them turn Makoto back to normal."

"You've got that right, but I wonder who they saw up there that got them so scared, besides the Hyde Makoto, that is?" Daffy said while scratching his head.

Suddenly, Daffy's question was summarily answered by one of the three ghosts, who said, "Eh, well, wouldn't you like to know?"

Once Bugs, Daffy and Porky came face-to-face with the three ghosts, the trio's eyes bugged out in shock as they proceeded to run away from the three ghosts in question. Suddenly, the three ghosts revealed themselves to be Yakko, Wakko and Dot, who just looked at the audience as Dot said, "Was that the longest way to go for a joke or what?"

Yakko then blew a kiss to the audience as he said, "G'night, everybody!"

The Warners then waved goodbye to the audience as the cartoon drew to a close.

After the end of the cartoon, the signature Looney Tunes red rings appeared as Hyde Makoto popped up through the rings and said, "That's all, folks!"

Hyde Makoto then revealed herself to be a disguise worn by the real Makoto, who then looked at the Hyde Makoto mask and said with a smile, "Oh, I'm definitely wearing this for the Halloween party this year!"

Well, what do you know? After a year and some change, I finally completed an all-new episode of Animation Multiverse: The Series! I apologize for the long hiatus and I had been dealing with some issues relating to school and whatnot, and I was focusing on some other fanfics during that time, but I finally revived my creative juices to create another new episode and how appropriate that it ends up being a Halloween-themed installment!

Anyway, it was interesting that, aside from some Looney Tunes cameos at the beginning and the end of the story, this was one of the few episodes that revolved around a full-fledged crossover between two different cartoons (one cartoon and one anime, to be precise) right after "Origins of the Looney Winx!" and, to some extent, "Wabbit Wackiness". Still, I had been on such a Sailor Moon and Ed, Edd 'n Eddy kick for the past month and whatnot, so why not put that interest to good use by bringing these two shows together for a special Halloween-themed episode?

I feel as though the pacing was kinda off and I was hoping to inch towards a more epic confrontation between Hyde Makoto and the Sailor Guardians, but I think that the actual ending should suffice because it allowed for a nice continuity nod to "A Glass of Warm Ed" and, hey, fulfill my Bugs Bunny appearance quota for this season. Compared to my previous experience of writing for the Sailor Guardians in an episode, they seem to be a bit toned down here compared to the Eds, but they still came off alright in some places.

Anyway, I hope you all enjoyed this special Halloween installment of Animation Multiverse: The Series and stick around for another new episode coming soon. "Stay Tooned" for the next new episode and thanks for reading, folks!
