Sup guys, Time for another story, this one about Gurren Lagann. Enjoy the 800-word chapter. I don't own Gurren Lagann, Gainax and a few others do.

There was nothing but war, there had been war since they were young enough to recall it. The explosions and constant gunfire made sure that everyone was constantly moving around.

Both Beastmen and humans continued to war with each other. There were battles every day, as if both humans and Beastmen found some pleasure in constantly waring with each other over at the moment.

"I'm… Scared…" He said while he looked at her as he fidgeted to himself.

One of the things that the Beastmen lacked? It seemed to be care for their own considering how the one was a wolf Beastmen.

His friend looked to herself while she looked around with far more intertest then a child her age should have had. Her fiery red hair told him it was his old friend Yoko Littner. She glared at the Beastmen in their Gunmen busy laying waste to everyone and everything they could find. If the resistance had just a HANDFUL of the war machines? Humanity could fight back effectively against their oppressors.

"Why do they keep fighting?" He asked as he turned to look around with a sigh as he hummed towards her. "Why do they have to keep killing each other? They do nothing but fight every day… Why are they so angry at each other?" He questioned which got a frown from Yoko.

She didn't know why, only that the Beastmen had started this war… Not humanity, but she had started the war with the humans, she would know… But she still knew for a fact that things were not that easily seen through. Her friend was proof enough that not all Beastmen were the monsters she had heard they were called.

"Yo-Yo?" He asked as he fidgeted with his hands, looking around with a frown at the moment. He didn't notice what his people were doing, they were both currently children at the moment.

"Hmm…" Yoko said while she shook off her clothes. "Yeah, there's a LOT of things at the moment to think about." Yoko asked while she hummed and started to question what humanity would do next.

There was plenty at stake if they couldn't fight back, people were forced underground… It was NOT a good way for humanity to live, she knew that humanity already had lost in combat before at the warrior at the time. Yoko was quite hopeful while she rubbed at her temples, quite aware of what would happen if they lost.

It was NOT a pretty sight in her mind, but that just made her MORE determined to stop this. She turned to her friend who was busy thinking, it was quite obvious considering his ears always twitched when he was deep in thought. Yoko sat in front of her friend, curious what he could possibly be thinking.

"Hmm…" Yoko stated as she turned to look around while sitting on the ground.

She knew for a fact that Magnus was scared, there was no way he wasn't judging his own people. He wasn't stupid when it came to war, Magnus was quite smart for someone who was going to be 14 in about a year or such.

"Hmm…" Magnus hummed as he looks around a moment later.

He shook his head, burying his head in his hands a second later as he started to think about what brought on this recent barrage from the Beastmen. Magnus looked at Yoko with an interested look.

"Don't you have a rifle or a such?" Magnus questioned as he sat up a moment. "I know how good you are with that thing, you've been practicing at the range, I got an idea…" Magnus added while he cracked a smile a second later.

He sighed before Yoko started to look around. He could only imagine the thoughts welling up in her head the more he thought about it… Still? If Yoko was as a good of a shot as he thought? They could have somewhat of a chance in a fight. It was one of their only hopes and as such? Magnus was glad she had that power to begin with.

Only time would tell, but it was still time spent doing something hopeful rather than constantly questioning if they'd make it another day under the sun.

Phew. First chapter done! I want to point out that next chapter will be in 2-10 months and will show Yoko and Magnus training and setting up Magnus getting his own Gunmen and such. Until then, Lighting Wolf out!
