"Honestly, Natsu!" Lucy chided for the thousandth time as Natsu whimpered under her nursing administrations. Earlier that day Natsu had heard and smelt something weird and decided to investigate the result had been ripped clothing, several gashes, including a nasty open cut on his face, and a sprained wrist. Lucy had been scolding him all afternoon. "Whatever made you think that diving into a pile of sharp objects was the smartest thing to do?"

"I wasn't thinking!" Natsu protested.

"Exactly my point!" Lucy snapped. "Learn to use your heard!"

"But Lucy!" Natsu whined. "I was just being curious!"

"Have you never heard that curiosity killed the cat?!" Lucy cried out. "Honestly Natsu, you idiot!"

There was a wet, slimy, thump as Happy dropped his fish. "WHAT?!" he screamed in horror. "Curiosity kills the what?!"

"Happy!" Lucy shrieked. "My carpet!"

"Are you trying to kill me?!"

"What?" Lucy blinked, her anger momentarily forgotten. "No!" she cried out horrified. "Why on earth would you think that?"

"Because you said curiosity killed the cat!"

"Yeah," Lucy said uncomfortably as tears poured down Happy's cheeks, "but that didn't mean we're going to kill you. It's just a turn of phrase."

"It's a conspiracy!" Happy wailed, not listening to Lucy at all. "Everyone in Fairy Tail is curious! They can't leave well enough alone! Natsu and Gray and everyone else always do something stupid and reckless because they're too damn curious!"

"Oi!" Natsu barked. "Don't lump me with that snowflake!"

"And all this time it was so they could kill me!" Happy sobbed. "It's been their plan the entire time!"

"Happy," Lucy's eye twitched in annoyance, "You're being ridiculous. That is not what has been happening. As I tried telling you before curiosity killed the cat is not a murder threat it's just a-"

"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" Happy screamed as he flew out of the window. "SOMEONE HELP ME! FAIRY TAIL HAS BEEN PLOTTING MY DEATH ALL OF THESE YEARS! I'M ABOUT TO BE MURDERED!"
