Day 13- PTA Meeting AU: Kanan X Hera and Kallus
Kanan suppressed a groan as they sat down with Ezra's teacher. Hera shot him a look and Kanan knew that she could probably sense his annoyance.
Kanan didn't have anything against the teacher. It was more that Kanan wasn't thrilled to hear about any shenanigans Ezra had been up to. Ezra had a reputation being somewhat of a…class clown. Not necessarily a troublemaker or a bad student, just a distraction.
"So," the teacher, Mr. Kallus, sighed. "Here to talk about Ezra?"
They both nodded.
"Yes," said Hera taking the lead. "We hope you're not finding him to be too difficult."
Kallus sighed. "Not most of the time. Overall, as I'm sure you've seen, his grades are fine. Certainly not top of his class, but he turns in homework and does well on tests; better than other students I've had similar to him. That being said, he is sometimes a distraction in class."
"Anything specific?" Kanan asked with a slight groan. "Or do we even want to know."
Hera shot him another look. "If we need to speak with him about specific behavior that's fine."
"Well," Kallus said sitting up straighter. "I suggest you tell him to avoid identifying himself as crime bosses and smugglers. It's not exactly school appropriate, even if a joke."
Hera shook her head. "I'm very sorry about that. If it's any comfort, he does tend to be a bit of a wildcard at home as well, not just at school. But he usually gets along well with others, yes?"
Kallus nodded. "He is well liked by the others in his class. Some of them definitely had to warm up to him, but no bad blood between them."
Kanan sighed with relief. "That's good. As Hera said, that wasn't a major concern of ours, but it doesn't stop the worrying."
Kallus chuckled. "Yes, that is true. But Ezra is doing well. Grades look good, behavior is mostly fine. Just, talk with him about some specifics."
They both nodded, but internally, Kanan was wondering why in the world Ezra wanted to be -joking or not- identifying as crime bosses and smugglers.
