Day 25- Delayed Flight AU: Disaster Lineage
"Flight 824 will be delayed two hours. Again Flight 824 will be delayed another two hours."
The speaker continued on with its other announcements and Obi-Wan sighed. That was another two hours added on from the last two hour delay. This is why he hated booking late flights.
Next to him, Anakin groaned at the news, slouching in his seat. "We'll never leave this place," the teenager moaned.
"Hush," Obi-Wan scolded. "I don't want you to wake Ahsoka."
Which wasn't really the case, the airport was quite noisy, so if that wasn't waking the three year old fast asleep on his shoulder, he didn't think Anakin would. Obi just simply didn't feel like putting up with the whining.
The flight was supposed to leave at 7pm, and now it wouldn't leave until 11. Something told him they would likely be spending the night in the airport.
"Bet they tell us it's cancelled next," Obi grumbled.
"I'll take you up on that bet!" Anakin said excitedly. "Two dollars says they give us another two hour delay!"
Obi-Wan shook his head and smiled. "You know what? Very well. Two dollars it is."
"Yes!" Anakin said. "Do you think Ahsoka will want to participate?"
"I think Ahsoka has the most sense out of any of us," Obi chuckled, glancing down at the girl. "Besides, I don't think she has two dollars. And she would need another claim."
"A one hour delay?" Anakin suggested.
"You certainly like to find a solution to everything, don't you?"
Anakin nodded with a grin on his face. "One of my favorite pass times."
"Well why don't you make one of your favorite pass times sleeping?" Obi suggested. "You'll need it."
"I thought we were gonna sleep on the plane?" complained Anakin.
"Do you see a plane around to sleep on? No? Then sleep."
"Can I at least have a blanket?" Anakin asked.
"In my bag," Obi sighed.
It would be a long night.
