Day 28- Office Co-Workers AU: Jedi Masters

Obi couldn't help but chuckle as Anakin entered the office, classically late.

Anakin rushed to his desk to put his stuff down.

"Good morning," Obi called out to him, drawing what he knew would be unwanted attention for the man.

"Hey," Anakin breathed out heavily waving back.

Kit Fisto and Plo Koon both turned from their computer screens to stare at their younger co-worker.

Kit Fisto flashed his trademark smile. "Good morning, Skywalker."

Anakin raised his eyebrows in response as he sat down. "Hi."

"Good morning," Plo Koon also said, a chuckled suppressed by his formal nod and smile.

"Okay, is something going on?" Anakin finally sighed, turning his chair to face Obi.

Obi only shrugged. "Maybe we simply want to wish you a good morning."

"Don't forget to clock in, Skywalker," came the deep voice of Mace Windu from across the office.

"You also might want to check in Yoda's office for something," Obi smiled.

This comment earned chuckles from everyone in the room.

Anakin squinted his eyes at Obi. "For what?"

"I believe he is referring to your intern," Shaak Ti offered from her desk. "She checked in nice and early. Plo Koon said she could wait with Yoda, maybe ask some questions while she's there."

"Wait, is this the Ahsoka girl that Plo knows?" Anakin said turning to face Plo Koon. "I thought she was suppose to intern with Obi?"

"There was a change of plans," Obi shrugged turning his attention back to his computer and opening up his email. "For more information, talk to Yoda."

Anakin groaned and stood up. "Why does it feel like whenever I'm late, you all decide to change something?"

"Don't be late then," came the chorus from various desks.

"Don't worry," Plo Koon offered. "Ahsoka is nice. You'll be fine."

Anakin shook his head as he made his way over to Yoda's office. "There's something vaguely suspicious about that reassurance…here goes nothing."

Obi chuckled then sighed. "You think it will all work out?"

"We're all here to help out," Plo Koon offered. "They'll be fine."
