Chapter 6: The Battle For Dracula's Castle
In a desolate wasteland, there is an abandoned castle called Dracula's Castle. The wasteland looks like it had a battlefield with medieval weapons all over the place. Shadow has dropped another Subspace Bomb, allowing the two Armor Soldiers to set it off, engulfing half of the battlefield.
Shadow:"..."
Shadow did not say anything. On top of the castle, there stood a man with long blonde hair, wearing a brown leather cuirass, metal bracelets, and brown boots. He is Simon Belmont, the Vampire Hunter of the Belmont Clan. He watches in horror as he saw Shadow and an army of Heartless heading towards the castle.
Simon: Shadow...What is he doing with those creatures?
He pulls out his morning star whip called the Vampire Killer.
Simon: I'll have to stop them, otherwise it's game over for me.
He starts running down the castle hallway, where he got attacked by the Shadow Heartless and Luna Bandits. He whips his Vampire Killer on the Heartless, taking them out. When he ran to the next room, he got ambushed by some Crescendos and red dragon-like Heartless called Wyverns. The Wyverns charged at Simon, but he dodged their attacks. He threw his Battle Axes up at the Heartless, taking them out. He keeps running down the hallway, fighting some Luna Bandits and Wyverns along the way. When he got outside, he stops by the gate.
Simon: There must be a button to open this gate.
He looks around the area and when he saw through a hole through the gate, he saw a button behind it. He hits the button and the gate opens. As he was about to run out of the castle, he got ambushed by some Surveillance Robots and one-wheeled red robot Heartless called Magnum Loaders. The Magnum Loaders charged at Simon, but he dodged their attacks. He threw his Cross Boomerangs at the Heartless, taking them out. As he ran out of the castle, he came in front of the Subspace, thinking that if he could stop it, the Heartless would disappear.
Simon: OK. So now what do I do?
?: SUPER Z-BUSTER!
He turns around and dodges an energy bullet coming towards him. He looks around and saw a red Reploid with white parts on his head, shoulders, gloves, lower body, and feet, and has long blonde hair behind his helmet. He is Zero of the Maverick Hunters.
Simon: Zero? What are you doing here?
Zero: Simon, you know what I want! Tell me where is X!
He charges again and pulls out his beam sword called the Z-Saber. He slashes at Simon, but Simon defends himself with his whip. Then some Heartless appeared from behind them. Simon and Zero saw them behind each other and slashes them. They looked at each other confused.
Zero: W...Why did you help me?
Simon: I'll bet those Heartless must have something to do with your friend.
Suddenly, some more Heartless appeared.
Zero: How about we take out the trash first?
Simon: Agreed!
The Heartless that are attacking them are Shadow Heartless, Luna Bandits, Hook Bats, and yellow monkey-like Heartless called Bouncywilds. The Bouncywilds fired their slingshots at Simon and Zero, but they easily dodged their attacks. Simon threw Holy Water to burn the Shadow Heartless and Luna Bandits, while Zero uses Kuuenzan to jump and do a rolling slash attack with his Z-Saber at the Hook Bats and Bouncywilds. After nearly taking out all the Heartless, a Defender appears. Zero jumps above the Heartless and uses Rakukojin to do a downward metallic stab with his Z-Saber, taking out the Heartless.
Zero: That takes care of that Heartless.
Simon: Now we must hurry and catch up to Shadow.
Zero: Right!
As they started chasing Shadow, more Heartless appeared. They are Shadow Heartless, Luna Bandits, and Bouncywilds. Simon threw his Gold Daggers at the Shadow Heartless, while Zero uses Ryuenjin to do a flaming uppercut with his Z-Saber at the Luna Bandits and Bouncywilds. They took out the Heartless and proceed to the next area, where they encountered more Shadow Heartless, Bouncywilds, and purple walker robot-like Heartless called Devastators. The Devastators fired their cannons at Simon and Zero, but they easily dodged their attacks. Simon uses Vampire Uppercut to do an upward slash with his Vampire Killer at the Shadow Heartless and Bouncywilds, while Zero uses Raijingeki to do an electric thrust with his Z-Saber at the Devastators. They took out the Heartless and proceed to the next area, where they got attacked by more Shadow Heartless, Luna Bandits, Devastators, and a Defender.
Simon: That Heartless again? How many more enemies are there?
Zero: Let me take care of them.
Zero uses Rekkoha to summon beams of light to destroy all the Heartless. Simon and Zero proceeds to the next area. They went up the wooden platform, where they got ambushed by Air Soldiers, Luna Bandits, Wyverns, and Devastators. Simon uses Hydro Storm to summon a rain of Holy Water to burn all the Heartless. After taking out all the Heartless, Simon and Zero proceeds to the next area, which takes them to an underground cave with a giant pit.
Zero: Now where are we?
Simon: Maybe we should jump down that hole.
They jumped down the hole, which takes them to a minecart.
Zero: What is that minecart doing there?
Simon: Maybe we can use it for a ride.
They went on the minecart and rode it through the cave until it crashes into a wall, making them fly out. Suddenly, they got ambushed by more Luna Bandits, Bouncywilds, and Hook Bats.
Zero: Now there are Heartless in this cave?
Simon: Just take them out and we can proceed.
Simon upgrades his Vampire Killer to the Flame Whip and does burning whips on the Luna Bandits and Bouncywilds, while Zero uses Denjin to do an electric uppercut with his Z-Saber at the Hook Bats. They took out the Heartless and went on a minecart to ride it through the rest of the cave. When the minecart reaches the end of the road, it falls right off. Simon and Zero jumps out the minecart and reaches the ledge.
Simon: That was close.
Zero: My sensors indicated Shadow nearby. Let's hurry!
They got out of the cave and found Shadow with another bomb underneath his platform.
Simon: Stop this, Shadow!
Zero: Slash the bomb! It's the only way to stop him!
Simon jumps up and uses Vampire Uppercut on the bomb, but Shadow moves away in time. Zero tried to attack too, but Shadow uses Chaos Spear to throw a yellow energy spear at him, making him fall to the ground.
Shadow: Slowpokes! You'll never catch...
But he forgot one thing...Two swords flying from behind him. One was red, while the other was blue.
?: OMEGA TEMPEST!
A teenage boy with brown spiky hair, wearing a red jacket with red gloves, black pants, and red boots appeared and grabbed the two sword and does a rolling slash with his two swords to slash the bomb from the platform, making it fly out of control. The boy lands with the broken bomb besides him. His name is Lloyd Irving, the hero from Tales of Symphonia. His swords are called the Material Blades. The red one is called Flamberge. The blue one is called Vorpal Sword.
Simon: Thanks, Lloyd. But how did you know we are here?
Lloyd: My swords have sensed that the Subspace Army is threatening to destroy everything. Good thing I came to help you in time.
Zero: No time to talk. We have to stop Shadow before he gets away.
As the gang continues chasing Shadow, more Heartless like the Shadow Heartless, Luna Bandits, Air Soldiers, Hook Bats, and Magnum Loaders appeared. Simon threw his Cross Boomerang at the Shadow Heartless and Luna Bandits, Zero uses Yammar Option to summon robot dragonflies to fire energy bullets at the Air Soldiers and Hook Bats, while Lloyd uses Demonic Chaos to fire sword waves from his Material Blades at the Magnum Loaders. After nearly taking out all the Heartless, some large round Heartless wearing golden armor called Clay Armors appeared.
Zero: What kinda Heartless is that?
Lloyd: Those are called Clay Armors. Be very careful with them. They're very strong.
The Clay Armors tried to body slam the gang, but they easily dodged their attacks. Lloyd uses Hunting Beast to summon a lion-like aura to attack the Clay Armors, taking them out. The gang continues chasing Shadow until he was long gone.
Lloyd: So what now?
Simon: I think we should go find Sonic, Megaman, and Cloud. Maybe they would know what's going on.
Zero: Guys, the Subspace is catching up to us!
The gang turns around to see the Subspace catching up to them.
Lloyd: There's no time to waste! Let's get outta here!
They jumped down the cliff they were standing on and landed safely as the castle area was engulfed in Subspace. Meanwhile, in the greenfield, a Metool appears. Then all of a sudden, an orange bandicoot with a yellow tummy and wearing blue jeans appeared and got in his fighting stance. He is Crash Bandicoot of Wumpa Island.
Crash: OK. I don't know the whereabouts of where Spyro is, but I can still be able to fight. Let's see if my fighting skills still pay off.
He is still in his stance, but the Metool passed by him, ignoring him.
Crash: Oh, how come everyone is ignoring me? Maybe I should look for Spyro.
Suddenly, another Metool appears behind him, making him jump.
Crash: Where did that one come from?
He did not see what was behind him. Suddenly, a giant fist hits him in the back and he went flying high in the air and came back down as a trophy. The person who hits him was a man with a gray moustache, gray Einstein-like hair, wearing a white lab coat, red tie and black pants. He is piloting a white skull-like machine. He is Dr. Wily, the archenemy of Megaman. His machine is called the Wily Machine.
Wily: Hohoho! Man, what beauty. I love collecting trophies.
He then saw dark clouds coming in.
Wily: Those clouds must mean Dracula is nearby, and he must have more trophies, and I know just the bait. Hey Metools!
Alot of Metools ran towards him.
Wily: When I say now, attack Dracula while I take Tifa and Pac-Man to safety. Make sure that Crash is in there too. Now duck!
They all ducked underneath a bush. Dracula was riding a truck with the Tifa and Pac-Man trophies in the back. As he drove along, he saw the Crash trophy in the middle of the road.
Dracula: Is that a bandicoot?
He stops the truck and got off. He picks up the trophy.
Dracula: Must be my lucky day, and I don't need to turn him into a trophy myself.
?: NOW!
The Metools charged in, surrounds Dracula, and attacks him.
Dracula: HEY! Let me go, you pests!
He accidentally threw the Crash trophy into the truck. Wily got on the truck.
Wily: Thank you, Dorkula! It was nice doing business with you! Bye!
And he drove off. The Metools followed him. Dracula saw Wily getting away.
Dracula: COME BACK HERE!
That's it for chapter 6. Next time, Cloud and Bomberman will meet in the forest and Megaman X and Spyro will meet in the lab.
