My New Life in Equestria.
Chapter 9:
The Crusaders are talking about their next attempts to earn their cutie marks.
"What do you guys think?" Apple Bloom said.
"I think we need to find Mex after school and ask what he thinks!" Sweetie Belle said.
"Yeah, totally!" Scootaloo said.
All at the same time, the crusaders get a strange sensation down their backs that makes them shiver, they all look at each other with a hint of concern.
"Did y'all feel that?" Apple Bloom said first.
"What was that?!" Scootaloo said jumping to her hooves.
"Somethings wrong, I think Mex is in trouble! We gotta help him!" Sweetie Belle said.
"Come on girls! Let's go find Mex!" Apple Bloom said.
Sweetie Belle stopped for a moment and quickly told Featherweight to tell Miss Cherilee what was happening and galloped off after her friends.
It's chaos on the battlefield, as Spearheads soldiers and I fight off the Taken after Spearhead sent out the invasion warning to Princess Celestia, it wasn't so hard, to begin with, but stronger and stronger Taken kept appearing and when one of the guards was injured, I had to keep everypony safe.
"Spearhead! Pull your soldiers back and form a wall about fifty meters down there!" I say as I motion in the direction that I wanted the wall.
"But what about you?!" Spearhead replied.
"I'll be fine! I will not have anypony hurt because of me, now go!" I shout and I charge the tear again.
As I cut down Thrall after Thrall, I notice a distinct lack of new Taken appearing from the tear. I gasp loudly as I realise what this meant.
"Look out! Taken Phalanx incoming! Ignoring Thrall! Spearhead! Drop any Taken that gets too close! I'll handle him!" I yell out to Spearhead and his men.
"Roger!" the group calls back.
A Taken Phalanx's hand appears at the tear and it crawls out of the tear, roaring and charging at me with its shield out.
The older ponies arrive behind Spearhead and the guards having been called by Princess Celestia.
"Spearhead! Where's Mex?" Twilight said.
"Further down the road fighting a big one, he asked us all back here so he could deal with it!" Spearhead replied as he and his men were fighting thralls.
"And you let him stay there?!" Twilight gasped.
"Is anypony there with him?" Rainbow asked.
"No, he insisted we hold the line here, I listened because he has more experience with these things." Spearhead said.
"Well, I'm going to help him!" Rainbow said as she rushed over to the tear.
Rainbow arrives just in time to see me get hit with a blast from the Phalanx's shield.
"Argh!" I shout as I land harshly on the ground.
"Mex!" Rainbow shouted as she charged in and delivered a kick to the Phalanx so hard it stumbles backwards.
"Rainbow! What are you doing here? Get back!" I plead.
"No way kid! I'm not going anywhere! How do we get rid of this guy?!" Rainbow shouted back.
I sigh deeply before smiling and responding.
"See that glowing part on its head? That's its eye! It's a weak point!" I shout back.
"Can you distract it by flying around, but make sure to be well out of its reach!" I say.
"I'm on it!" Rainbow called back before flying very quickly around its head and dashing away as it tries to swing its blade at her.
I concentrate on the light and magic once again, this time calling on my Arc abilities, feeling at one with the storm, lightning begins to crackle from my horn and arc between my two front hooves.
Once I had enough of a charge, I open my eyes and call out to Rainbow.
"Dash move!"
Rainbow Dash quickly flies behind me and braces herself as the others arrive and get ready to help.
The Phalanx charges towards us as I shout and release the lightning I had built up, a massive lightning bolt discharges from the middle of my hooves and horn and strikes the Phalanx directly in the eye.
It stops in its tracks and roars as the lightning overwhelms it, a lightning bolt from the sky strikes the Phalanx and it is disintegrated.
I aim at the tear and keep a constant lightning current over it, any thrall coming out is instantly destroyed.
"Wow!" The crusaders say together.
Everypony turns their head to see the girls standing there wide-eyed at my display of power.
"Girls! What do you think you're doing here?!" Rarity gasped.
"Mex is in trouble! We're here to help him!" Sweetie Belle said.
"Absolutely not!" Rarity said.
"Are you out of yer mind?!" Applejack said.
"You're nuts!" Rainbow Dash said.
"Girls? Is that you? What are you doing here?!" I call out.
The girls run past their sisters and approach me.
"We're here to be with you Mex!" Apple Bloom said.
"We're here to help!" Sweetie Belle said.
"We're there for you!" Scootaloo said.
"There it is again, that feeling of love and being cared about. What is that?" I ask myself.
I turn to the girls to beg them to get to safety when I notice a faint glow surrounding their entire bodies, that's when it clicks and all makes sense.
"Girls! I think you can help me seal this thing!" I say.
"Huh?!" Everypony said at once.
"Please! I need you to come over to me and focus on our friendship, what it means to you and how much you care about each other and me, hold that thought and don't let it go!" I shout.
The girls carefully walk up to me and as they do, their glowing becomes more and more intense until they reach me.
They line up beside me and close their eyes, focusing on the thoughts I asked them to remember.
I close my eyes too and think of the love and kindness I've been shown since I got here. Princess Celestia and Luna arrive at this time and see what we're doing.
All together we open our eyes and the girls place a hoof on each of my shoulders and one on my back, the lightning dissipates as our eyes all glow a brilliant bright white, a gigantic figure made of pure light that resembles each of us appears behind us and looks down at the tear.
All of the older pony's gasp in shock at the sight.
The figures put their hooves together and a rainbow shoots down from their hooves and strikes the tear on the ground, the tear begins to shrink, getting smaller and smaller until it vanishes completely.
The figures disappear and we all collapse to the ground catching our breath, the older ponies including the princesses run up to us.
"Oh, my goodness! Are you four alright?" Fluttershy said.
"What was that?" Rarity said.
"I-I'm not sure," I said.
"Did y'all feel that?" Apple Bloom said.
"That feeling of-" Sweetie Belle started and got cut off.
"Happiness?" Scootaloo said.
"Yeah! It's like we were all together as one pony!" Apple Bloom said.
"You felt that?" I asked while standing up.
"Uh-huh." The girls say at the same time.
"Could it be? Could the girls really have, no. That's impossible, isn't it?" I think to myself.
"I think, you girls just connected with The Light," I say.
The older ponies gasp loudly.
"What! How?" Scootaloo said.
"I'm not sure, but I think when we connected, the Light still inside me spread to you three," I say.
"That's not all." Princess Celestia said.
We all turn to look at her walk up to us.
"That magic that was unleashed when you joined together was friendship magic, I would know that anywhere," Celestia said.
"You mean that thing we do when we use the Elements of Harmony?" Applejack said.
Celestia nodded.
"Yes, but the Elements are in the tree, and they are bound to you six, I do not understand how the Crusaders were able to use such a power without being connected to the Elements," Celestia said.
"The Light!" Twilight exclaimed, turning all heads to her.
"The Light must be capable of substituting for the Elements! Incredible!" Twilight said while bouncing on the spot.
"But the girls would have to be wielders of the Light to do that, would they not?" Princess Luna said.
"Yes, they would," I say as I turn to the girls.
"Apple Bloom? Could I borrow you for a second? I'd like to test something." I say.
"Uh, sure." Apple Bloom said while walking over to me.
"What are you doin Mex?" Applejack said as she approached as well.
"A test, if she really does contain the Light within, then we'll see it, but if not, then nothing will happen," I say.
"Hold your hoof out in front of you, like this," I say as I show her what to do.
Apple Bloom does so and I summon a small piece of Light to my horn and place it near her hoof.
Immediately, the small ball of light zips over to her hoof and floats a few centimetres above it.
Everypony gasps and comes closer to look. I turn my eyes to Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo who already have their hooves out Infront of them and I repeat the process.
All three of them contain the Light! Incredible!
"Amazing! You all have the Light now! Can you feel it in your hoof?" I say while being excited.
"It feels amazing!" Scootaloo said.
"It feels like hope in my hoof!" Sweetie Belle said.
Apple Bloom said nothing, just staring at her hoof in amazement.
"How is this possible?" Twilight says walking up to us.
"I have no idea; this is brand new territory for me as well," I say.
"It doesn't appear that they have enough light to manipulate as I do, but this is still incredible!" I say.
"What do you mean Mex?" Princess Celestia says.
"I mean, the fact that they contain any amount of Light at all! Usually, the Light will only be bestowed to the dead, this is the first time the Light has done this!" I reply.
"Another research topic for the scholars in Canterlot I suppose," Fluttershy said.
"Indeed, in the meantime," Luna said while turning to face the girls.
"Promise us, that you will be responsible with this newfound power," Luna said.
"We promise Princess!" The girls all said at once.
"I can help curb any surges that may happen in the meantime, and get a proper gauge on how much Light they have and its limitations," I say while facing all of the adult ponies.
The adults all nod their heads.
"But, as I said, it doesn't appear that they have too much of it, it may only work with mine," I say.
"We will know in time, for now, excellent work you four." Princess Luna said.
"Indeed, you have done Equestria proud Cutie Mark Crusaders." Princess Celestia said.
It is now several hours later, and the Crusaders and I are walking to Sugarcube Corner.
"Mex?" Sweetie Belle said.
"Yes?" I say turning to look at her.
"Since we have the Light, are we able to do the things you do?" Sweetie Belle said.
"Honestly? I'm not sure, I don't think so because you three don't have enough Light to manipulate, but your Light seems to surge when we're all together." I say.
"We will have to wait and see if your Light reserves grow or not," I say.
"I have no idea what you're talking about," Scootaloo said.
We all share a laugh as we approach Sugarcube Corner.
"Oh! One thing I haven't told you three yet!" I say with obvious excitement in my voice.
"What is it?" Apple Bloom said.
"Twilight passed me for magic control lessons and... I get to go to school with you girls tomorrow!" I say while bouncing up and down.
"What?! Really?! That's amazing!" The girls all say at once.
"We're gonna have so much fun planning out ways to get our Cutie Marks!" Apple Bloom said.
"And we'll have so much more time now you can come with us to school!" Scootaloo said.
Sweetie Belle just squealed in delight and ran up to hug me, followed by Apple Bloom who grabbed Scootaloo to join.
"I know right!? It's gonna be great!" I say as we walk into Sugarcube corner.
"Only problem is we don't have school tomorrow or the day after, so I guess you'll start fresh after the break!" Apple Bloom said.
"Ah well, I suppose I can wait a few more days, I wanted to ask Applejack something when I get home anyway which would line up perfectly with the break," I say.
The girls look at me with anticipation so I continue.
"I wanted to ask if she would be okay with me going on a little camping trip, I mean, I do have to ask permission to do that don't I?" I say.
The girls all start nodding their heads as we approach the counter with Mrs Cake and Pinkie Pie behind it.
"Oh, you definitely do! If you just wandered off without telling anypony, they'd start a search party for you." Sweetie Belle said.
"And because you caught the princess's eyes, it would probably involve the royal guards as well as the Wonderbolts!" Scootaloo said.
"Yeah, I suppose so," I say.
"Whatcha guys talking about? Can I get your usuals?" Pinkie Pie said from the other side of the counter.
"Hey Pinkie! Yes please, four crusader usuals please!" Apple Bloom said.
"We were just talking about Mex wanting to go on a camping trip tomorrow." Apple Bloom said.
"Ooooh! That sounds fun! Where are you gonna go?" Pinkie said looking at me while getting our order ready.
"I'm not sure yet, I get the feeling the Everfree Forest is out of the question?" I say looking at Pinkie.
"Of course it is! It's very dangerous out there! Especially at night!" Pinkie said.
"It's not like I've ever camped in dangerous places before," I say sarcastically in my mind.
"Yeah, well, in that case, I'm not sure where I would go," I say.
"Oh! Our annual sister's camping trip is coming up! Maybe you could join us?" Apple Bloom said.
"Ooh! That sounds fun, but, if it's a sister's camping trip, then I wouldn't wanna intrude." I say.
"I'm sure our sisters won't mind!" Sweetie Belle said.
"I'm sure they wouldn't but, it would feel like I'm intruding, you girls go have a blast and maybe I'll see if Spike or Big Mac wanna hang out," I say.
The girls nod their heads, affirming with me that if I change my mind for next year then I'd still be more than welcome to come.
Pinkie comes over to our table and sets down our order.
"Here you go! Four crusader specials!" Pinkie said.
I quickly float 20 bits over to her and place them in her apron pocket and give her a quick and sly wink and smile. Pinkie returns the wink and smiles before returning to the counter.
For twenty or so minutes, the girls and I plan out some activities to do when they return from their trip, we're just finishing up our milkshakes when Applejack and Rarity enter the shop.
"Oh, hey ya Pinkie! We're here to pick up our orders for Twilights get together." Applejack said.
"No problem! I have them right here girls!" Pinkie said, lifting two boxes of treats from the counter.
Apple Bloom waves over to her sister and says.
"Hey, sis! Mex wants to ask you something!"
Applejack and Rarity turn to see us at our table and walk over to us.
"What is it sugarcube?" Applejack says.
"I-I, well, you see," I say stammering, not quite sure how to ask.
"I'd like to go camping for a few days before I start school, I'll need to go shopping for some camping gear and all that but, and I-I know what you might say, that I'm too young to go by myself but I can handle it! I can!" I say.
Applejack chuckles before saying.
"Of course you're too young to go by yourself, there'd be nopony there to help you if you ran into danger!" Applejack said.
I lower my head with a hint of sadness.
"If you can find a sherpa to go with you then I've got no problem with you going campin." Applejack said.
I smile and turn my head to the crusaders.
"An adult sherpa mister!" Applejack said with a chuckle, causing everypony to laugh as well.
After Applejack, Rarity and Pinkie Pie leave for Twilights castle, I get up as well.
"Well, I'd better go find somepony who can take me camping," I say.
"Maybe I'll ask Discord! He can only say no, right?" I think to myself.
"Good luck Mex!" The girls say at once as I head out.
I notice Apple Bloom is observing me and beams a happy smile as I walk straight past Mrs Cake at the counter, the girls giggle, seemingly knowing something that I don't.
I wave goodbye to Mrs Cake and walk out the door, waiting a few moments for the girls to realise I'd done it again.
"Let's get going Crusaders! We'll meet up with Mex at the clubhouse in a couple hours!" Apple Bloom said.
"Yeah! Let's go!" Scootaloo said.
The girls walk up to the counter and Apple Bloom puts some bits down.
"Hi Mrs Cake! We'd like to pay for our order please!" Apple Bloom said.
"Oh, hi dearies, no problem, you had your regulars I take it?" Mrs Cake replied.
All three girls replied with a nod.
"Okay, let me see if I can find your order ticket." Mrs Cake said.
"Ah yes, here it is, oh, it seems it's already been paid for, no need girls!" Mrs Cake added.
Apple Bloom's voice could be heard halfway across town when she yells out.
"Mex!"
I couldn't hold it in anymore and burst out laughing as I gallop away before I discover the wrath of Apple Bloom after being outsmarted the same way a few times now. I'm sure my flank wouldn't fare too well.
"I should try and sharpen my skills in case any old "Friends" decide to come by." I think to myself as I walk towards the open field where I learnt how to fly with Rainbow Dash.
"Well Mex, you've been here nearly a month and I already have fond memories and good friends," I say out loud to myself.
"Time to make Kai and Demi proud by showing them I haven't slacked off on my training," I say to myself with a chuckle.
"Plus, I haven't really taken these new abilities to their limits yet either, Ghost wouldn't want me being so reckless with new power but; he also doesn't like how fast I fly," I say as I laugh out loud to my thought.
I began to create my own training method, combining what Twilight had taught me about magic control, and the training my friends and I did with our Light powers.
I create blocks of stasis to use as target practice at different places around the area.
I focus on my light and magic and weave it into a dawn blade sword hovering just above my horn, I fling a blade towards one of the blocks before trying to fling a second blade immediately afterwards.
"Huh, too slow," I say out loud.
I'd like to swing the second blade before the first one strikes its target and be in a different location when I do it.
So, I continue to practise swinging the blades and dashing away before turning to do it again. The second blade doesn't quite charge fast enough before the first blade hits its target.
"Grr! If only I had the speed of Arc mixed with the blade it may charge faster!" I say in a frustrated tone.
Out of frustration, I fling another blade towards a block but notice something odd. It had Arc around it! I bring the blade above my horn in front of me and notice it is crackling with Arc energy.
I fling another blade and watch it intently as it strikes another block, the block shatters to pieces in a mixture of Arc and Solar energy. My shock causes me to lose focus and the blade above my horn disappears.
"What was that?!" I say out loud.
"Did I just mix Solar and Arc light together?" I think to myself.
I had always wondered if it were possible but was told that others had tried in the past and it was always ruled an impossibility. But maybe, just maybe, Alicorn magic was the ingredient needed to make it work!
I sit on the ground and meditate for a minute or two to regain my energy, I had to try this out!
Once I opened my eyes, I once again focused my light and magic into a dawn blade sword, I also focused on my experience wielding Arc and Void light and channelled it into the blade.
I open my eyes and was astonished when I came face to face with my creation, a dawn blade sword, crackling with Arc light but also with a blanket of Void light.
"Incredible!" I say out loud, clearly excited.
I turn my gaze to a small cluster of stasis blocks and with all my might fling the blade towards them, an explosion of epic proportions erupts from the landing point, sending me to the ground, fire, electricity and void energy similar to a Nova Bomb fills the sky temporarily before settling down and revealing a decently sized crater.
The six older ponies come rushing up towards me with Rainbow Dash reaching me first.
"Mex! What was that?! Are you okay kid?!" Rainbow said quickly as she looked around.
The other ponies are arriving as I groan and stand up.
"Oh, hey everypony! I was just doing some training and, well. As you can see, I got a bit carried away." I say while rubbing my head with my hoof.
Discord appears next to me.
"What was that?! Whatever it was, it was super impressive!" Discord said while having a big grin on his face and an arm around my shoulders.
The adult ponies aside from Fluttershy roll their eyes as they walk up to me.
"I just combined all three elements of Light, I actually did it by accident the first time then got a little reckless, sorry," I say with my head pointing down to the floor.
"Aw, it's alright sugarcube, nopony was hurt, just be careful next time alright?" Applejack said.
"Yeah, Applejack is right, what's most important is nopony was hurt, however, I would like to ask you not to experiment anymore without me there, okay?" Twilight said.
"It's okay, you can experiment all you like in my dimension." Discord whispers to me.
I giggle lightly and nod my head before turning to Twilight who has a slightly raised eyebrow with a questioning look at us. I straighten up.
"I'm sorry for worrying everypony about my safety, but I am okay," I say sincerely.
Everypony starts walking back to where they were when I turn to Discord.
"Hey, Discord? Can I ask you something?" I say.
"Well, you can certainly ask." Discord says with a chuckle.
"Applejack has allowed me to go camping but she isn't able to take me herself, so I was wondering if you'd-" I say before getting cut off.
"Stop right there, Applejack wouldn't want little old me being your sherpa; Which is exactly why I say I would love to!" Discord said putting an arm around me again.
"Really? You would? Yes!" I say in excitement.
"Of course! I even have the perfect place for us to-" Discord was cut off by Applejack clearing her throat and looking at Discord with an angry face.
"Oh! Hi Applejack, is something the matter?" Discord said while making an angel halo appear above his and my heads.
Applejack turns to me and says.
"I didn't mean Discord when I said to find an adult sherpa Mex!"
"Oh, sorry, again," I say sadly.
"Nonsense Mex!" Discord says before turning to Applejack.
"Would it make you feel better if I asked Big Mac and Spike to join us?" Discord said.
Applejack was a bit shocked at first but quickly composed herself.
"Yes actually, it would; With Big Mac there I wouldn't mind at all, but if he says he can't go, then I'm sorry Mex." Applejack said before leaving.
"Ah don't worry! I have an idea!" Discord said before snapping his lion paw and vanishing us.
In a flash of magic, Discord and I were standing next to Big Mac at Sweet Apple Acres. Our sudden appearance caused him to jump a little but calmed down once he noticed it was Discord and myself.
"Hey, Big Mac! What do you say to some Ogres and Oubliettes camping style, with you, me, Mex and Spike?" Discord said with a lion paw around his shoulders.
Big Bac was a little confused at first so Discord continued.
"Mex here wants to go camping, Applejack won't let him go by himself soooo, I figured this would be a great chance to introduce a fourth player to our game! What do ya say?"
Big Bac smiled wide and with a deep, enthusiastic voice said.
"Eeyup!"
"Wonderful! We'll go and see Spike and invite him too. We're heading off first thing tomorrow! I have the perfect spot for our camp." Discord said.
"Uh, excuse me? What's "Ogres and Oubliettes"? I say confused.
Big Mac looked as if he was about to speak, but was cut off by Discord.
"We'll explain it when we get to the campsite, come come, off to see a certain purple dragon." Discord said as we vanished in another flash of magic.
Discord and I re-appear in Twilights library in a flash of magic.
"You wait here while I go and explain things to Spike." Discord said and vanished again before I could reply.
A minute goes by and Twilight enters the library while floating a book in front of her, I wave at her with my hoof.
"Oh, hi Twilight! Sorry about the intrusion, Discord teleported me in here without knocking; he's gone to talk to Spike." I say.
Twilight looks up from her book and smiles.
"Yeah, he's known to do that, what does he need with Spike?" Twilight said.
I gave her a quick run-down on what we're planning.
"Camping? With Discord? Who else is going?!" Twilight asked in a slightly panicked voice.
"Um, Big Mac and Spike are going as well," I say with a confused face.
Twilight relaxed and breathed a sigh of relief, to my slight amusement.
"You okay Twilight? You seemed a bit worried there." I say.
Twilight looked at me with a "Are you kidding me?" kind of face.
"What?" I say while feigning innocence and smiling.
Twilight lets out a snort as her eyes narrow slightly at me.
Discord appears between Twilight and I facing me.
"Spikes in! This is gonna be great! I can't wait to-" Discord stops himself when he realises Twilight is behind him.
"Oh! Hi Twilight! We're having a guy's camping trip!" Discord said.
"I heard, now-" Twilight said before getting cut off.
"Anyway! Gotta go! Much to pack! Mex, I'll swing around Sweet Apple Acres to pick you and Big Mac up at 8. Cya!" Discord said before vanishing.
"Hey! Discord! Oooh, that Discord!" Twilight said seeming very frustrated.
"Uh, well anyway, I'll head off, you seem busy," I say as I start speed walking away.
"Hold it young colt!" Twilight said walking up to me.
"I don't know where you four are going, but I do know that Discord is trouble! I don't want you picking up any... habits... from him, okay?" Twilight said as if she was a big sister.
"Oh yeah! Discord could probably give me loads of ideas for how to cause chaos! Great idea thanks Twilight!" I said before smiling so hard it hurt and laughing when her face did the scowl again.
"It'll be fine Twilight, thank you for your concern," I say while I give her a quick hug.
Twilight returns the hug.
"Now, I need to go shopping for some camping supplies, like a tent, sleeping bag etcetera, do you know where I could find a shop for that kind of stuff?" I say.
"Yeah, there's a shop nearby Sugarcube Corner called "Camping Spot", they sell all kinds of camping supplies; Oh! And take this with you! It's a book all about camping!" Twilight said as she floats a book over with a smile, and excitement that seems strange, as she's only handing me a book. I thank her and take the book in my magic.
"It's a great book, I've read it 14 times already, it should prove to be pretty helpful," she said with a beaming smile.
"I'll have to give it a read before I head off tomorrow, thanks again!" I say and head out the door towards the shop.
I head towards Sugarcube Corner hoping that I will see a sign for the camping shop Twilight told me about, I decided to ask a passing pony for exact directions.
"Hello, sorry to bother you, but do you know where a shop called "Camping Spot" is?" I say to the stranger.
The pony looked at me and blinked a few times before pointing a hoof behind him.
"Are, are you an alicorn?!" The stallion said.
"Ugh, this again?!" I think to myself.
"Uh, yes, I am indeed, my name is Mex," I say.
"Oh! I heard about you; I thought my co-workers were trying to pull my leg when they told me about the alicorn colt living in Ponyville." He said.
"Hey listen, I'm the editor in chief for The Canterlot Chronicle, the biggest newspaper in all of Equestria! Would you do an interview with us? It'll be front page for sure!" The stallion said.
"Oh! Where are my manners? My name is Nosey Pages."
"Good to meet you Mr Nosey, to answer your question, I'd have to make sure it's okay with my carer before I agree to an interview, but I'd like to do one," I say.
"Wonderful! If you decide to do it, stop by our office in Canterlot and we'll put you and your carers up for the night and cover your travel costs! Hope to see you soon!" Nosey said as he waved his hoof.
I wave back and walk in the direction that he gave me.
I spot the sign for the shop and walk-in. It's a decently sized shop with all sorts of camping supplies on the shelves and walls. An employee spots me and walks over to me.
"Hello! My name is-" she said before stopping herself and gasping.
"This is getting old, maybe I should do that interview so ponies stop getting surprised by an alicorn colt..." I think to myself.
"Hello, my name is Mex and yes, I'm an alicorn, no I'm not royalty, I'm just here for some camping gear, can you help me?" I say politely.
The mare closes her mouth and shakes off the apparent shock with a head shake.
"Yes, of course, I apologise, I've seen you once before but I thought I was daydreaming! Um, camping gear, was it?" the mare said.
I smile and nod my head.
"It's no trouble, and yes please," I say.
"Great! No problem, this way please, did you need all of the basics? Like a tent, sleeping bag, medical kit etcetera?" The employee said.
The employee, which I later found out her name was Fire Spritz, helped me gather all of the things I would need for camping, it was all of fantastic quality and for a very good price as well. I head home to ask Applejack what I should do about the interview.

Hey everyone! This chapter took a while cuz I have a lot of stuff going on these days, still! I hope everyone enjoys it and looks forward to Mex's little camping trip! What's gonna happen? Nopony knows!
