Chapter 10: Exploring Wily's Castle And Gallopolis Ruins
The door burst open and Sonic, Cloud, Megaman, Sora, and Bomberman ran in. They saw the rubble.
Sora: We're too late!
Cloud: No...Look!
Cloud points to the hole in the wall.
Sonic: Eggman must have taken Tifa there. Alright, troops! Let's go through!
They stood in line and then charged in together. As they went into the cave, they saw a giant boulder chasing after them.
Megaman: Oh come on! Why are there always giant boulders chasing us?
They quickly ran away from the boulder and jump over to the next area, which has a ceiling closing in on them. They got away just in time and encountered some Motobugs along the way.
Sonic: There they are! We found Eggman's Robots! Let's take them out!
Sonic uses Spin Dash on the Motobugs, taking them out. The gang climbs up the ladder, where they got ambushed by more Motobugs, Flappers, and Egg Robos. Megaman uses Gyro Attack to fire propeller cutters at the Flappers, Bomberman threw his Fire Bombs at the Motobugs, while Sora uses Sonic Blade on the Egg Robos. They took out the robots and proceed to the next area, which is a long pit with a closing ceiling.
Sora: Aww great! Not only do we have Eggman's Robots and boulders chasing us, but now the ceiling is closing in on us!
The gang jumps down a series of platforms down the pit and got out just in time before the ceiling closes in on them. They went to another pit with the floor rising up. They jumped up the platforms and got out of the pit before the floor closed in on them. Along the way, they encountered some Motobugs and Egg Pawns, which they take out. They proceed to the last pit with the falling ceiling and jump down the platforms until they reached the end of the pit. They climbed up the ladder and proceed to the next room with moving walls with holes in them.
Bomberman: Great! We have boulders chasing us, ceilings and floors falling and rising on us, and now we have moving walls!
Megaman: At least some of the walls have holes in them. We should jump through them.
The gang jumps through the holes in the moving walls and proceeds to the next room, which has fire pits, a key, and a locked door.
Sonic: Well, how are we gonna grab the key and take it to that door without getting burned?
Megaman: Let me take care of it. I have shields to protect myself from the heat.
Megaman uses Jewel Satellite to surround himself with jewel shields. He jumps over the fire pits and grabs the key. He then uses it to unlock the door.
Megaman: The door is now opened. Just be careful not to get burned.
The gang jumps over the fire pits and made it to the next room, which has a button and poison gas.
Cloud: Great! Now we have poison gas! Are there gonna be more traps like this?
Sora: Maybe this button in front of it can deactivate it.
Sora pressed the button and the poison gas disappears. The gang made their way through the tunnel, where they encountered some more Flappers, which they take out. They jumped up some platforms, which started sinking as soon as they landed on them. They quickly jumped off the platforms and climbed up the ladder in the end. They proceed to the next room, where they got ambushed by more Flappers, Pot Scorpions, and Red Nocturnes.
Sonic: Now we have those Heartless here!
Sonic uses Homing Attack on the Flappers, Cloud uses Cross Slash on the Pot Scorpions, and Megaman uses Freeze Cracker to fire ice balls at the Red Nocturnes. They took out the enemies and proceed to the next room, which has more platforms and poison gas. Sora pressed the button to deactivate the gas. The gang jumps up the platform to reach the next tunnel, where there are Buzzbombers, Red Nocturnes, and Earth Cores. Sora uses Firaga on the Buzzbombers, Bomberman threw his Ice Bombs at the Red Nocturnes, while Megaman uses Charge Kick to do sliding kicks on the Earth Cores. They took out the enemies and proceed to the next room, where there is more poison gas. When Sora pressed the button, the gas disappears, but the ceiling also starts closing in on them.
Bomberman: Oh no! Now the ceiling is closing in on us!
The gang quickly ran to the next room and pressed another button to deactivate the poison gas, but also some Gold Kamerons appeared. Cloud uses Finishing Touch to take out the robots. The gang proceeds to a canyon with a series of platforms and some Flappers and Buzzbombers. Sonic uses Sonic Wave on the Flappers and Buzzbombers, taking them out. The gang jumps across a series of platforms to cross the canyon. They came across the next tunnel, where there are also some Egg Robos and a boulder.
Cloud: Great! We still have more of Eggman's Robots to fight!
Suddenly, the boulder ran over the Egg Robos. The gang got out of the way as the boulder rolls along.
Sonic: Well, look on the bright side. The boulder did all the work for us.
The gang made their way through the tunnel and pressed another button to deactivate the poison gas. Before they would get out of the cave, there was one more Gold Kameron. Megaman uses Pharaoh Shot to charge up a solar energy sphere and threw it at the Gold Kameron, taking it out. The gang then got out of the cave to see Eggman getting away with Tifa.
Sonic: We got you now, Eggman! Give us back Tifa!
Eggman turns around to see Sonic jump to attack him.
Eggman: You don't wanna hurt Cloud's girl, do you?
He held the trophy in front of Sonic. Sonic gasps and he missed and leaps back.
Eggman: I thought so.
Sora: Then what if I do this?
Sora uses Blizzaga on Eggman, making him dodge and fall off the cliff. Cloud panics and shook Sora angrily for the death of Tifa.
Cloud: What have you done, Sora?
Bomberman: Err...Cloud...
Eggman's Egg Walker was flying back up with the trophy in hand.
Eggman: If I were you, I'd leave this place. The bomb will go off any minute.
And he flew towards the Egg Carrier.
Sonic: He's getting away!
Cloud: I promise I will rescue Tifa, no matter the cost!
The gang watches the Egg Carrier fly away. Megaman spots the badge that Tifa dropped and looked at it.
Megaman: I wonder...
He picks it up and ate it.
Bomberman: What did he mean by "bomb going off?"
Sora: Everyone, this place will be sucked into Subspace! Let's get outta here!
The gang nods and ran over to the cliff.
Sonic: We have to jump over to the ocean? I hate water!
Megaman: Don't worry, Sonic. I'll have Rush take care of you.
Megaman summons Rush and he transforms into Rush Marine for Sonic to ride. Everyone jumps over the cliff and lands safely in the ocean. They manage to get away in time, as Shadow has used another Subspace Bomb to cover Wily's Castle and the whole area in Subspace. Sephiroth was in his secret room, laughing.
Sephiroth: Well, too bad Cloud and the others got away. But I love to see the world in terror.
He watches the Subspace on screen and then a tan man with long white hair, wearing a black trench coat, white gloves, black pants, black boots, and having a Heartless symbol on his chest appears. He is Ansem the Heartless.
Ansem: Is everything going according to plan, Sephiroth?
Sephiroth: It sure is, Lord Ansem.
He bows to Ansem. As soon as Ansem disappears, Sephiroth smirks.
Sephiroth: Then once we take over the world, I'll make sure you'll be my slave.
He pulls out a white Chaos Emerald and looks at it.
Sephiroth: After all, I have the perfect weapon to use against you.
Meanwhile, Klonoa and Hero 8 has entered the Gallopolis Ruins. A Funghoul trophy was seen along the way.
Klonoa: Is that one of the creatures you're looking for?
Hero 8: Yes. It's a Funghoul. Now to revive it.
Hero 8 revives the Funghoul and the mushroom hugs him.
Klonoa: Way to go, Hero 8. That creature likes you.
Hero 8: Yes. One down. One more to go.
Klonoa: And that Garuda is next, right?
Hero 8: Yes. Now let's go.
Klonoa and Hero 8 continues down the ruins with the Funghoul joining them. They took the elevator and it takes them to a lower floor with a minecart. They rode on the minecart and it takes them down a pit, where they fell into a pool. They got out of the pool and went down the hallway, where they encountered alot of enemies like the Popcats, Crescendos, Red Nocturnes, and Dark Wisps.
Klonoa: We have enemies here too?
Hero 8: We should just take them out.
Funghoul uses Sweet Breath to send out an aroma to make all the Heartless fall asleep. Klonoa uses his Wind Sword on the Popcats, while Hero 8 uses Kacrackle on the Crescendos and Red Nocturnes. They took out the Heartless and made their way to the end of the hallway, dodging some Dark Wisps. They also dodged falling spikes and made it to the next room, where there is a giant gear holding two room-like platforms. They went inside one of the platforms and the gear starts moving them around, where they got attacked by some Grand Ghosts and an Angel Star. When the Grand Ghosts and Angel Star made their attacks, Hero 8 uses Bounce to deflect their attacks back at them, taking them out. Klonoa and Hero 8 then got off the platform to the next room, but stop when they saw a pit with three buttons on platforms.
Klonoa: Well, there's three buttons down there. But what if they're traps and we fall to our doom?
Hero 8: Well, there's only one way to find out.
They jumped down the pit to the platforms and below them is the floor.
Klonoa: How are we gonna know which one is the right one?
Hero 8: I'll use my magic to find the real button.
Hero 8 uses his magic to see all the buttons and saw that the right button is the real button.
Hero 8: It's the right button!
He pressed the right button and it reveals a door.
Klonoa: Way to go, Hero 8! Now we can proceed.
Klonoa and Hero 8 went through the door and it takes them through a long hallway with flame pillars, alot of Popcats, and Dark Wisps. They dodged the flame pillars and Dark Wisps and took out the Popcats along the way. They reached another minecart, which takes them to a platform at the end of the hallway. As the platform descends, spikes came out of the walls, which they dodged. Then the Mechanitaurs appeared and Hero 8 uses Metal Slash to cover his sword in metal and slash the Mechanitaurs, taking them out. Klonoa and Hero 8 keeps dodging the spikes until the platform reaches the bottom of the pit. They then got attacked by Giant Darkballs and Red Nocturnes. Klonoa uses Tornado Attack to take out all the Heartless. He and Hero 8 then proceeds down the hallway. When they reached the end, they entered a huge room with a platform.
Klonoa: I wonder where that platform might take us.
Hero 8: Well, let's get on it and find out.
They went on the platform and it starts moving. Suddenly, they got ambushed by more Wyverns and Devastators. Klonoa uses his Wind Hammer on the Devastators, while Hero 8 uses Dragon Slash on the Wyverns. They took out the Heartless and the platform starts moving again. Suddenly, they got ambushed by more Wyverns and Crescendos. Klonoa fires his Wind Bullets at the Wyverns, while Hero 8 uses Kasizzle on the Crescendos. They took out the Heartless and the platform starts moving again. Then they got ambushed by more Wyverns and Invisibles.
Klonoa: Oh come on! How many more Heartless are there?
Funghoul uses Burning Breath to paralyze all the Heartless. Klonoa then grabs the Wyverns with his Wind Ring and threw them at the Invisibles. After the Heartless were taken out, the platform takes Klonoa and Hero 8 to the end of the hallway. They got off the platform and proceed to the next hallway, where there is a button and a wall.
Klonoa: I wonder what that button is for.
Hero 8: Let's press it and find out.
Klonoa pressed the button and the wall opens up, revealing another button with a wall. They pressed the button and the wall opens up, revealing more buttons that opens up walls in a maze. Along the way, they fought off some Darkballs. When they made it out of the maze, they encountered an Angel Star. Klonoa uses his Wind Sword on the Angel Star, taking it out. Before he and Hero 8 could make it to the end of the hallway, they encountered some Invisibles and a Hot Rod. Hero 8 uses Flame Slash on the Invisibles, while Klonoa uses his Wind Balls on the Hot Rod. They took out the Heartless and made it to a giant platform with the Garuda on it.
Klonoa: We finally found the Garuda!
Hero 8: Now we need to defeat it to proceed!
Klonoa uses his Wind Hammer on the Garuda, doing some damage to it. The Garuda uses it's Kite Claws to slash Klonoa, doing some damage to him. Hero 8 uses Kazapple on the Garuda, doing some more damage to it. The Garuda uses Sizzle to burn Hero 8, doing some damage to him. Funghoul uses Sweet Breath to make the Garuda fall asleep. Hero 8 then uses Gigaslash on the Garuda, doing alot of damage to it, knocking it out. The trophy of the Garuda came down after that.
Hero 8: Good work, you guys. Now I can take care of this.
Hero 8 revives Garuda and the condor bows to him.
Klonoa: That Garuda just bowed to you. What does that mean?
Hero 8: It means that I have tamed it. Now I have all the monsters I needed.
He calls back Funghoul and the Garuda. He and Klonoa made it through the ruins. At the end of the ruins is a huge room that looks like a stadium. In the middle of the room is a glowing object.
Klonoa: I wonder what's that over there.
They went over to the object and saw that it is a light blue Chaos Emerald.
Hero 8: A Chaos Emerald! Now that could be useful.
Klonoa picks up the Chaos Emerald and he and Hero 8 looks around the room.
Klonoa: Now where is this place?
They looked up to see it's a long way up.
