The next chapter will introduce Jak & Daxter and Ratchet & Clank. Keep in mind that I haven't played either Jak & Daxter or Ratchet & Clank, so don't flame me if I get their weapons and moves wrong.
Chapter 14: The Rescue Of Knuckles And Duel With Ryu
In Sigma Island, there were small gray robots called Synthenoids attacking a giant Armor Soldier, who just stood still. But then his eye flashed and spins the Synthenoids off him. He looks down to see a yellow anthropomorphic cat wearing an orange and black shirt, brown gloves, blue pants, and black boots. Next to him is a small gray robot with green eyes. The cat is Ratchet, while the robot is his partner, Clank. Ratchet is shaking nervously.
Ratchet: Oh dear. What am I going to do?
Clank then saw something in the distance.
Clank: Ratchet, I think I saw something.
Ratchet turns around and saw something coming their way. It was a race car and it is coming their way. Riding it is a teenage elf with yellow spiky hair with goggles, wearing a blue shirt, red scarf, blue fingerless gloves, white pants and brown boots. On his shoulder is a small orange weasel wearing goggles. The elf is Jak, while the weasel is his partner, Daxter.
Ratchet: Hey, it's Jak and Daxter!
Jak leaps out of his race car and heads straight for the Armor Soldier. He uses his Red Eco to increase his power and delivers a powerful punch on the Armor Soldier, destroying him with ease. He then lands on the ground and turns to Ratchet and Clank.
Jak: Hey Ratchet. Long time no see.
Ratchet: That was incredible, Jak! What are you doing here?
Daxter: We came to investigate this island to find out about the Subspace Army. What about you?
Clank: We were here to investigate the island too. I guess we have the same goal.
Jak: Well, I'm also here because some strange black creatures took away my ship. Wanna team up and help me get it back?
Ratchet: Sure. Since you helped me and Clank, we'll help you find your ship.
Jak, Daxter, Ratchet, and Clank made their way down the path, fighting off many enemies like some Armor Soldiers, Gunvolts, Mega Tortoises, and Magnum Loaders. Jak pulls out his Morph Gun to use Scatter Gun to fire a shotgun at the Armor Soldiers and Gunvolts, while Ratchet uses his Megarocket Cannon to fire rockets at the Mega Tortoises and Magnum Loaders. They took out the enemies and proceed to the next area, where they encountered a Bolt Tower and some Rapid Thrusters. Jak uses his Morph Gun to use Plasmite RPG to fire grenades at the Bolt Tower, while Ratchet uses his Heavy Lancer to rapid fire at the Rapid Thrusters. They took out the Heartless and climb up a ladder to proceed to the next area, where they got ambushed by more Rapid Thrusters, Armor Soldiers, Gunvolts, Mega Tortoises, and Pot Scorpions.
Ratchet: Oh come on! Just how many enemies are there?
Jak uses his Morph Gun to use Needle Lazers to fire homing lasers at the Rapid Thrusters, while Ratchet uses his Vortex Cannon to suck up the Armor Soldiers and Pot Scorpions and fire them at the Gunvolts and Mega Tortoises. They took out all the enemies and proceed to the next area, where they encountered another Bolt Tower and some more Mega Tortoises. Jak uses his Morph Gun to use Arc Wielder to zap the Mega Tortoises, while Ratchet uses his Bomb Glove to throw bombs at the Bolt Tower. They took out the enemies and proceed to the next area. They came to a cliff and saw a flying platform with some Shadow Heartless and a Knuckles trophy on it.
Daxter: What do you see, Jak?
Jak: I saw a flying platform with those strange black creatures guarding a trophy of some echidna. I also saw a white starfighter chasing it.
Following the platform is the Vic Viper. Riding it are Tails and Bill.
Tails: There he is!
Bill: OK, Tails. I'll drop you off here. Recue your friend and then go into that island to save anyone else on it. I'll go and help Master Chief fight off the Egg Carrier.
Tails: OK. Be careful, Bill.
The Vic Viper flew above the platform, the hatch opens, and Tails drops down. He uses his tails to fly and fires his Plasma Balls, blasting the Heartless.
Jak: Good fox.
He smiles and turns to Ratchet.
Jak: Hang on, Ratchet.
He held onto Ratchet.
Ratchet: Hang onto whaaaaattttt?
Jak leaps off the cliff, while holding onto Ratchet. Daxter and Clank looks at each other.
Daxter: This could be fun! Let's go, Clank!
Daxter jumps down after Jak and Ratchet.
Clank: Wait for me, Daxter!
Clank jumps down after Daxter. Tails lands on the platform and turns to Knuckles.
Tails: Hold on, Knuckles.
He touches the trophy and Knuckles came back to life. He broke his chains and turns to Tails.
Knuckles: Thanks, Tails. I owe you one.
Then Jak, Ratchet, Daxter, and Clank lands beside them.
Jak: Hey, did we miss the party?
Knuckles: Who are you two?
Jak: I'm Jak.
Ratchet: And I'm Ratchet.
Jak and Ratchet turns to Daxter and Clank.
Jak: And this is my partner, Daxter.
Ratchet: And this is my partner, Clank.
Tails: Nice to meet you. I'm Tails.
Knuckles: And I'm Knuckles.
Suddenly, the Heartless appeared.
Jak: Let's say we fight off these pests and and get on that island!
Knuckles: Too true. It's time for payback!
Ratchet: Are you in too, Tails?
Tails: I'm as ready as you are!
The first wave of Heartless are the Shadow Heartless, Bouncywilds, and Luna Bandits. Tails uses Rapid Tails Attack to take out all the Heartless. The second wave of Heartless are the Bookmasters, Minute Bombs, and Invisibles. Ratchet uses his Megaturret Glove to plant small turrets to fire missiles at the Heartless, taking them out. The third wave of Heartless are more Bookmasters, Bouncywilds, Luna Bandits, and Surveillance Robots. Jak uses his Morph Gun to use Gyro Burster to fire a drone that fire lasers in multiple directions, taking out all the Heartless. The final wave of Heartless are three Mechanitaurs.
Tails: Oh come on! Just when we were about done!
Jak: Maybe this will be the last wave.
Knuckles uses Deep Impact to deliver a powerful flaming punch on the Mechanitaurs, taking them out. Knuckles and Tails high-fived and did a little dance. Jak and Ratchet watches. Then Vic Viper flew by. Tails waves his hand.
Tails: Thank you, Bill!
Bill gave a thumbs up and flew away. Then the gang found themselves heading towards a hanger inside Sigma Island.
Tails: So this is where the Subspace Army is?
Knuckles: Subspace Army?
Tails: You don't know? Well, let me explain.
Meanwhile, Klonoa, Hero 8, Simon, Zero, and Lloyd came to the foot of Bubble Mountain. On top of the mountain, they saw the UNSC Frigate and the Egg Carrier in a gunfight.
Hero 8: Hey, what's going on up there?
Zero: Guys, I'm sorry, but I gotta go. I gotta go and stop the Egg Carrier.
He flew up the mountain.
Klonoa: Zero, wait!
Lloyd: Let him go. He's gotta do what he's gotta do.
As Zero made his way to a quarter of the mountain, he saw two more creatures climbing it. They are two baby dragons with yellow scales, white tummies, and red paws and feet. One dragon is green, while the other is blue. They are Bub & Bob, the heroes of Bubble Bobble.
Bob: OK, Bob. I think we can stop here.
As Zero continues flying up the mountain, he flew past Bub & Bob.
Zero: Hey kids. See you at the top.
Bob: Man, what a rude guy!
Bub: Well, he is X's rival. Let's go with him.
They jumped after him. Suddenly, they got attacked by Shadow Heartless.
Bub: What are those things?
Zero: They're called Heartless. They should be easy to take out.
Bub & Bob uses Bubble Shot to fire bubbles to trap the Heartless in them, allowing Zero to take them out with his Z-Saber. The gang jumps up some platforms to reach higher levels. Along the way, they encountered some Pot Scorpions and Soldier Heartless. Zero uses Hyoroga to jump onto the ceilings and fire icicles from his Z-Saber at the Pot Scorpions, while Bub & Bob uses Rainbow Attack to fire rainbows at the Soldier Heartless. They took out the Heartless and climb up some ladders, where they encountered more Shadow Heartless and Earth Cores. Zero uses Shoenzan to do a flaming upward slash on the Earth Cores, while Bub & Bob uses their Parasols to grab the Shadow Heartless and threw them at other Heartless. They took out the Heartless and jump over some spikes to reach the next level, where they encountered some Large Bodies, White Mushroom, and Grand Ghosts.
Bob: Alot more Heartless here! Let's take them out!
Zero uses Hadangeki to fire sword cutters at the Large Bodies and White Mushroom, while Bub & Bob fires their Thunder Bubbles to zap the Grand Ghosts. They took out the Heartless and jump on the moving platforms. They jumped all the way to the top and jumped into a Barrel Cannon, which fires them through a series of barrels. The barrels then fired them to the next level, where they encountered more Large Bodies and Grand Ghosts. Zero uses Hyouryushou to do a spinning ice uppercut on the Grand Ghosts, while Bub & Bob fires their Water Bubbles to wash away the Large Bodies. They took out the Heartless and jump up some more platforms to reach the next level. There is a floating platform above them.
Bub: I wonder what that platform up there is for.
Zero: Maybe it will take us somewhere if we get on it.
The gang jumps on the platform and it starts moving up. Along the way, some Luna Bandits and Grand Ghosts attack. Zero uses Zankourin to fire light wheels from his Z-Saber at the Luna Bandits, while Bub & Bob fires their Wind Bubbles to blow away the Grand Ghosts. They took out the Heartless and the platform made it's way to the top. The gang jumps off the platform and jumps up the icy stairs moving in and out of the walls. It takes them to the next level, where there are more Shadow Heartless and ice platforms moving in and out of the walls. Bub & Bob fires their Snow Bubbles to freeze the Shadow Heartless. The gang jumps over the ice platforms and made their way to the next level, where they got attacked by some Mechanitaurs. Suddenly, the ceiling with spikes started closing in on the gang.
Bob: Look out! We have more enemies and spikes closing in on us!
Zero: Then let's take them out and get outta here!
Zero uses Raijinken to do electric uppercuts with his fist at the Mechanitaurs, taking them out. The gang made it through the door before the spikes could crush them. They made it to the next area.
Bub: That was close! We're almost at the top of the mountain by the way.
The gang jumps into the Barrel Cannon and it fires them up to the next level, where they landed on a platform with a series of ladders. They climbed up the ladders to reach the higher levels, where they encountered some Blue Rhapsodies and Dark Wisps. Zero uses Enkoukyaku to do flaming jump kicks on the Heartless, taking them out. The gang avoids the Dark Wisps, climbs up the top, and jumps up to the next platform with three smaller platforms, where they encountered some more Blue Rhapsodies and Invisibles. Bub & Bob fires their Fire Bubbles to burn the Blue Rhapsodies, while Zero uses Suiretsusen to do water thrusts at the Invisibles. They took out the Heartless and jump up some more platforms, where they encountered more Blue Rhapsodies and Invisibles. Bub & Bob uses Bubble Shot to trap the Blue Rhapsodies and jumps on them to take them out, while Zero uses Juuhazan to do overhead slashes on the Invisibles. They took out the Heartless and keep jumping up the series of platforms, where they encountered some Hot Rods and Surveillance Robots.
Bob: We're almost there. Just take out those Heartless and we're finally at the top.
Bub & Bob fires their Star Bubbles to make waves of stars spin outward, taking out the Heartless. The gang then jumps all the way to the top of Bubble Mountain.
Bob: We made it!
Bub looks up at something.
Bub: Huh? Who's that?
Zero got his Z-Saber ready and saw a man standing on the peak of the mountain. The man is a ninja wearing a black ninja suit with a metal crest on his forehead. He is Ryu Hayabusa, the hero of Ninja Gaiden. He looks down at the gang and leaps in front of them.
Ryu: Who are you? Where did you come from?
Zero: Outta my way, Ryu! I have to get into the Egg Carrier!
Ryu: I see...But in case of that, try and defeat me.
He pulls out his katana called the Shinryuken and got in his fighting stance.
Zero: Fine with me.
Bub & Bob decided to stay back as the two fighters lunged at each other. They clashed their swords at each other and jumped back. Ryu uses Art of Fire Dragon Balls to throw fireballs at Zero, but he blocks the attack with his Kuuenzan. Zero then uses Raijingeki on Ryu, but he dodges the attack. Ryu uses his Windmill Shuriken to throw a large shuriken like a boomerang at Zero, but he also dodges the attack. Zero uses Ryuenjin on Ryu, but he still dodges the attack. Ryu uses Art of Flying Fire Wheel to throw swirling fireballs at Zero, but he also dodges the attack. Zero uses Hyouretsuzan on Ryu, but he still dodges the attack.
Zero: You're pretty good, Ryu.
Ryu: You too, Zero. Why don't we just finish this right now?
Ryu uses Spinning Windmill Slash to jump and do a rolling slash attack on Zero, but Zero uses Tenshouha to punch the ground to create a giant light pillar on Ryu, doing alot of damage to him. Zero then delivers a powerful slash on Ryu, knocking him out, and turning him into a trophy. He then revives Ryu and Ryu stood up.
Ryu: That was a great battle, Zero.
Zero: Indeed. Anyway, I need your help to defeat the Subspace Army.
Ryu: Fine with me.
Zero and Ryu shook hands. Suddenly, the gang looks up to see the Egg Carrier trying to smash the UNSC Frigate by ramming it into Bubble Mountain.
Zero: Quick! We must get onto the Egg Carrier!
Ryu: Right behind you!
Zero and Ryu leaps onto the Egg Carrier. Unfortunately, Bub & Bob fell off the peak and they started falling down the mountain.
That's it for chapter 14. Next time, Sonic's group will join Klonoa's group in fighting a massive Subspace Army and the mission to rescue Amy and Tifa on the Egg Carrier begins.
