"GRAY! NATSU!" Erza boomed. "WHAT HAVE I TOLD YOU TWO ABOUT FIGHTING?!"

It was a stereotypical day at the guild which meant, of course, that Natsu and Gray had been fighting one another again. The pair of them froze mid-battle as they turned to face Erza with frightened wide-eyes.

"Never mind that!" Master wailed. Tears flowed down his cheeks as if he was the child of the guild and not the parent. "Just look what they've done to the guild building!"

Everyone grimaced as they took in the utter destruction of the furniture, the ice creeping up the walls, and the scorch marks on the floor, and part of the roof was on fire.

"Aw come on, Gramps," Cana grinned, "it's not their fault really. It's their magic's fault." Everyone turned to look at her sceptically while Cana was on good terms with Gray she wasn't prone to defending either him or Natsu. There had to be an ulterior motive hidden in there. "After all," Cana purred, "do you know what you get with fire and ice?"

Everyone exchanged bewildered glances.

"A puddle?" Gray dead-panned.

"Freezer burn?" Natsu asked dumbly.

"Utter destruction and a lifetime of bills?" Master sniffled. "I'm going to die in debt."

"Steam," Cana waggled her eyebrows suggestively, several people spluttered at that, and Erza started to choke on her cake and flailed melodramatically in the background until Laxus, looking incredibly bored, performed the Heimlich Manoeuvre on her, Cana's eyes, however, bored into Natsu and Gray as she ignored the mini-drama behind her, "something you're not telling us Natsu and Gray?" she asked silkily.

Realisation sunk in fast for Gray as he turned bright red and choked on his own spit. "NO!" He bellowed furiously.

"Are you sure?" Cana drawled out, "Because looking at you two right now I'd say things are getting pretty steamy, and, dare I say it? Smutty between the two of you."

Natsu and Gray looked down to realise that Gray was virtually naked as Natsu had him half crushed to the floor while one of Gray's long, nude, legs were wrapped round Natsu's neck as he had been in the middle of trying to strangle Natsu….

They both yelped and leaped away from one another.

"So," Cana smirked, "Steam, right?"

She barely dodged the fireball and ice blast aimed at her head.
