Chapter Two: Chapter One: (2): Making The Move & Lunch Date: (B):
Lori had to admit that seeing Steve again, It brought up so much of old feelings that she thought she had buried, & forgotten, It brought it up to the surface again. She was fighting the urge to invite him out to lunch, She was fighting her battle, while she had no idea that Steve was fighting one of his own. It was hard on both ends, But, They were both stubborn people.
The Five-O Commander was in his office trying to concentrate on paperwork, But, He found himself thinking of Lori, Ever since their encounter, He couldn't get her out of his mind. He smiled, when his partner, & best friend, Detective Danny "Danno" Williams, came into his office with a smile of his own. "For once, Things are going our way, & the bad guys for the day are in jail", The Blond announced, & then noticed that something was off with Steve, "Are you okay ?", He asked with concern. Lately, He noticed that things were weird with his love one, But, He didn't want to push it.
"Yeah, I am just fine, I was thinking about how my life had taken a unique turn, & I don't do well with certain changes", The Former Seal answered honestly. He got out of his thoughts, & said with a smile exclaiming, "You would never guess who I ran into the other night ?…Lori !", Danny's mouth dropped in response to that news. "Romeo, Way to bury a lead, Spill, Don't leave out the details", He commanded, as he listened to his friend recall the encounter of the night before.
Lori was finishing up setting the schedule, since she is taking some time off. Her Second-In-Command, & Best Friend, Cassie Jean Bouvier, came in, & she smiled a teasing smile, & said, "Seeing anymore of that handsome hunk ?", as she took a seat. "No, Not since last night", She said, as she rolled her eyes, & sat down to join her. "Got a pic of this hot guy ?", Lori pulled up a past pic of Steve, & showed her friend.
"Holy Shit, This guy is smokin' !", She squealed with excitement, as she took a good look at the picture of Steve. "All the women of America would give their right arm to bang him", She continued on saying, & handed the phone back to her best friend, & boss. "Call him, Take a risk, Before some other woman does", With that, She left Lori to her privacy. The Homeland Security Leader knew that she was right, & made the call right away.
"Call her man, I think she is the missing piece in your life, Take the risk, Open up to her, & your heart too ", Danny advised him, When he left, Steve was about to call her. But his phone rang, It was Lori, who was inviting him out to lunch. They agreed to meet up at Steve's favorite place for Japanese Food, As soon as he hung up, Steve felt very happy.
When they met up for their lunch date, & sat down, It was like no time was lost. Even, When they were enjoying their meal, They caught each other up on their lives. Steve felt shy all of a sudden, "Lori, Would you go on a date with me ?", "I would love to", They spent the rest of the time laughing, & having fun.
