Pretty 82: Yomi x Hikage

At the hideout, Hikage walks outside to get some fresh air after getting up in the morning.

Looking up at the clear sky, she stretches out her arms and proceeds to walk a little further until she hears some beautiful humming coming from her right. It definitely sounds like Yomi. She walks over toward the back where the blonde is harvesting bean sprouts again. She is wearing a short blue dress with brown boots, gloves and a hat to keep the sun from blinding her.

She is now watering plants and then, stands up to admire the work she's done. Half of the bean sprouts she planted grew already and Yomi is about to pack them when she turns around to notice Hikage standing there, watching.

"Ah, Hikage-san!" she says. "Good morning! Did you sleep well?"

"I slept okay" The greenette replies. "I was about to go for a walk when I heard you humming and…all this."

"Aren't they lovely~?" Yomi says happily. "I was just about to dig them up, clean them and then serve them up for breakfast later on. Hey, will you help me gather them up, please?"

Hikage sighs and rubs the back of her head. "I'd love to, but...I have some things to do."

"Hm? What's that?" Yomi questions.

The emotionless greenette turns away for a moment. "It's…rather complicated to explain."

"Explain what? Hikage-san, you can just tell me. I'll understand."

"No…it's better if you knew later on. Anyways, I'm going for my walk now." She's about to walk away when she hears some sniffles. She stops and sighs again. "Yomi…"

"H-Hikage-san…" Yomi says as tears threaten to spill from her eyes. "Lately, for like a week, you've been like this. And you won't tell a soul about it to anyone….including me." She gestures toward herself. "Did I do something wrong? Is that it? Or is it something else?"

"Yomi, like I said, it's complicated to explain."

"Is it THAT complicated to tell me how you're feeling right now? To tell me what in the world is going on?" Yomi says. "You're shutting me out is what you're doing."

Hikage turns around. "It's not like that at all. Please understand."

Yomi bites her lip as tears spill from her eyes.

"I can hardly tell you feel sorry for me. For someone with the lack of emotions, you're not very good at being honest with your feelings. At times like this, I really hate it." She sniffles and looks up at the greenette. "For now, I'm not talking to you anymore. Good-bye." Without another word, she leaves to continue what she's doing.

"Yomi…" Hikage reaches out her hand, but the blonde is far away already. She lets out another sigh. Their friendship can't end like this. Not when Hikage has everything planned for just the two of them.

Yes, Hikage is in love with Yomi.

She's been in love with her for as long as she can remember, but now she has made the object of her affections cry, which she immediately regrets. It's true that she can't tell exactly how she's feeling, but in this situation, it's on purpose.

There is a festival taking place tonight and she actually went to a store to buy some nice yutakas for both of them. She had reserved them yesterday for tonight, so later this afternoon, she is going to go on ahead and pick them up so she can show them to Yomi.

Right now, it's going to be very awkward, especially during breakfast.

Homura, Mirai and Haruka cannot understand why Yomi's in a bad mood and Hikage is feeling sheepish, even though it's hard to tell. Breakfast goes by and while Homura does the dishes, Yomi stands up to go to her room to have time to herself. Haruka and Mirai decide to tend to the laundry outside. Hikage just stays to help clean up the kitchen.

The team leader turns to the greenette.

"So…Hikage. You mind telling me what's going on?"

"Why are you asking me?" The emotionless girl asks.

"Cause I can tell when something's off. You're not looking at Yomi as much, plus you're avoiding her. Did something happen between the two of you?"

Hikage sighs. "Promise to not say a word to Yomi about this."

"O…kay?" Homura quirks an eyebrow.

"There is festival tonight, and I bought some yutakas for her and I to wear."

"Alright. Why the big secret then?"

"Because….I want to tell her how I feel." Hikage replies.

There is a slight pause in the hideout, except hearing Mirai's screams and giggles coming from Haruka.

"Oh…my God. That is…wow."

"Is that wrong?" Hikage presses.

"No, no, no!" Homura puts up her hands in defense. "I mean…that's so rare of you…to be honest with your feelings."

"Rare indeed." The greenette sighs. "Listen, Yomi's pretty pissed at me right now. I don't know how I can get her to come with me to the festival."

Homura puts down the dishes and walks over to her teammate. "Well…when are you planning on getting the yutakas?"

"This afternoon."

"Alright, so, why don't you show her the yutakas, tell her about the festival and ask her to come with you? It depends how nice those yutakas are."

"That's all?"

"And apologize," Homura adds. "Listen, I don't know what you did, but you two need to talk it over and make up. I hate it when my teammates have a fight."

Hikage nods.

"I see."

The tanned girl puts an arm around the greenette's shoulder. "She'll calm down by the time you pick up the yutakas."

"I hope so."

Hikage isn't so sure if Yomi would be in a good mood by the time that happens. If all else fails then…

"Just tell her how you feel," Homura says. "I believe in you. I know it's difficult, but you can at least try."

"I see. Thanks, Homura."

With that, the greenette finishes up cleaning the kitchen and goes to her own room to gather her thoughts.

Later

It's about 4:00 pm. Hikage exits the hideout to walk to town to pick up the yutakas she ordered, hoping Yomi would be calm by the time she returns. It takes about 20 minutes to get there and about 5 minutes to get to the store. The door opens with a ring of the bell. A girl with medium length ginger hair and another girl with long ash brown hair turn toward the greenette.

"Hello, welcome~!" the ash brunette says.

"Hello," Hikage says. "I came for my reserved items?"

"Oh, yes, yes!" The ginger happily gets the yutakas hanging on a metal bar and she carefully hands them, perfectly folded, to the greenette. "Kotori-chan designed them, by the way. I hope they look good on you and your partner~!"

"I wonder who she's going out with~" the girl Kotori whispers in her friend's ear.

"I-it's not that important," Hikage says. "I-I'll see you around."

With that, she leaves the shop immediately.

"Hehe! She's just bashful," the ginger says.

"I guess she's right, Honoka-chan," the ash brunette says. "It's none of our business."

Hikage is on her way back toward the hideout when she realizes what happened back there.

Was she…really blushing? It can't be. This is another rare thing. But…it's also a good thing. She's learning to feel little by little. It's telling how she feels that's the hard part. Taking a few deep breaths, she keeps on going, exiting the town and on her way toward the hideout. While doing that, she recites in her head what she wants to say to Yomi. It'll depend on how she would react, but if she doesn't say it right, then it's over for them. Over for her, at least.

By the time she arrives at the hideout, after greeting Haruka and Mirai tending the laundry, she goes heads straight for Yomi's room. The greenette clutches the bag as she takes a few more deep breaths before knocking on the door.

"Yes?" Comes Yomi's voice from the other side.

"It's me, Hikage," the greenette replies. "May I come in?"

"What do you want?"

"Just let me in and I'll explain."

There is a pause.

"Yomi, please?"

Another pause.

"Look, I'm sorry for what I said, okay? Can you please let me in so we can talk properly?"

Just then, the door opens and a grumpy Yomi pokes her head out. "Come in…" she mutters as she opens it all the way.

"Thank you." The greenette walks inside and the blonde closes the door behind her. When Hikage turns around, Yomi approaches her, standing at arms length with her hands on her hips.

"This better be good," she says.

"It will, it will," Hikage puts the bag down and gently takes the blonde's hands in hers, a gesture that the blonde accepts with slight apprehension. "Yomi, I apologize for earlier. Let me do everything I can to make it up to you."

"Yeah? And how so?" Yomi huffs, pulling her hand out of Hikage's and then, crossing her arms under her large bosom.

"First off…I…I…" the greenette is blushing again. "I love you, Yomi."

The blonde gasps, also blushing. "H-H-Hikage-san!?"

"I have loved you for quite a while. But I really didn't know how to express that. That's why I wasn't able to tell you properly. I was a jerk, yes. But please…please forgive me. I can't go on living under the same roof as you if you hate me like this."

Yomi doesn't know what to say. It's out of the blue, this confession. But on the other hand, she's happy. She raises her hand to caress the greenette's cheek with a beautiful smile.

"I could never hate you, Hikage-san," she says. "Now that you told me your true feelings, I understand everything better now. That is something to be proud of, this is a grand occasion~!"

"Yomi…"

"Fufu! I forgive you," the blonde continues. "Now then, is there anything else you want to tell me?"

Hikage picks up the bag and holds out the two yutakas. One of them is colored dark blue with sakura flowers printed around it. Another one is light green with flowers printed on it as well. Yomi is amazed by the wonderful design of these yutakas.

"Hikage-san…oh, my gosh!" she exclaims. "These look wonderful!"

"They are," Hikage says. "I want to take you to the festival that's starting tonight. Do you mind?"

Yomi brightens, wraps her arms around Hikage's neck and gives her a peck on the lips. "Oh, I don't mind one bit! Let's go to that festival, Hikage-san~!"

"Heh, alright then," the greenette says. "Let's try on the yutakas now."

"Gladly~!"

They strip off their clothing, back to back if only for the sake of modesty and a tiny degree of privacy, and put on the yutakas. As Hikage hoped, the exquisite fabric fits them and their...proportions...like a glove.

Their yukatas are identical in design except for the fact that Hikage's top reveals her perfect, toned stomach while Yomi's sleeves are actually detached from the yutaka. Of course, the top halves of their yukatas beautifully expose the upper halves of their beautiful, huge breasts to show glorious cleavage, giving off the impression that they're ready to pop out any second.

They take a look at Yomi's mirror and twirl around to see if they fit just right. Overall, the yutakas themselves are lovely.

"Wooow~!" Yomi exclaims. "I look great in this, don't you think~?"

"I think so," Hikage replies. "...How do I look?" She asks softly.

"You don't look so bad yourself~!"

The blonde giggles while Hikage gives a light chuckle. This is just the beginning of their brand new relationship. She holds out her hand.

"So…do you want to get going before it gets too crowded?" Hikage asks.

"Sure, I'd love to," Yomi gently takes her beloved's hand and the two start heading out.

Homura notices the two holding hands. Hikage looks back at the team leader and the tanned girl just nods and winks while giving a thumbs up. She's happy that the two made up and possibly a lot more than that. Homura continues doing what she's doing after Yomi and Hikage are gone.

Later

They make it to the festival by the time the clock strikes 5:00 pm. There's little more than 10 people already there, just looking around and admiring the booths that are still in the preparation stage. Being this early isn't bad, but it is kind of awkward for the two of them to come when it isn't that lively. Hikage looks at Yomi for some ideas, but the blonde giggles.

"I guess we need to buy ourselves some time," the blonde says. "How about we…go someplace private~?"

"Eh? What are you saying?"

"Fufu~ Come with me. You trust me, right? Then don't let go!"

The blonde then takes her new girlfriend's hand and on instinct alone, their fingers intertwine and Hikage is kind of amazed at how well their hands fit together.

This festival is set in the grounds of a temple that's graciously hosting the event, and Yomi is feeling incredibly bold.

Hikage indeed never lets go of Yomi's hand as the beautiful, precious blonde leads the way slightly further away from the actual festival grounds, their ninja speed rendering them nigh invisible to the naked eye of the sparse civilians that, like them, arrived a bit earlier.

Hikage's eyes get just a dash wider, just a small rise to her usually half-closed eyelids, as Yomi leads her towards the temple itself, past its courtyard and into its inner chambers, the two now kneeling in front of one another after entering a dimly lit room with a big bronze Buddha statue.

Yomi giggles as she closes the sliding door while still on her knees before turning back around to face Hikage and she seems to almost glide on her knees as she moves back to the greenette's side, now pressed flush up against her side, the girls' eyes gazing at each other throughout the whole movement.

"Yomi…what's going on?" she asks. "Why are we here?"

"Like I said, we need to buy ourselves some time," the blonde replies. "Now, let me ask you something: do you want me?"

"Huh?" Hikage quirks an eyebrow.

"You said you love me," Yomi says. "But do you WANT me?"

"I don't understand…"

"Listen, we're a couple now, and…well…I know it's way too fast to take things a bit further. So…I want you to tell me if you desire me. To have me be with you forever and ever. If so…then kiss me to your hearts content."

"Yomi…"

Hikage stares at the blonde for about a minute or two. Yomi's incredibly beautiful from where the lighting is, making her facial features stand out. She wraps an arm around her and pulls her close.

"Yes...I want you...I NEED you." the greenette says. "I love you so much."

"That's what I like to hear~" Yomi swoons. "Oh, Hikage-san...~!"

"Yomi..."

With that, the two dive in to a more passionate kiss, tongues caressing one another, but Hikage's dominates Yomi's. The blonde loves it so much that she starts to beg for more. Hikage responds by kissing deeper. The greenette has never felt so good in her life. This what love is about and how it is.

Hikage gets into it a bit as she gets touchy feely. Her hands explore Yomi's soft, wonderful behind, toward an opening of the kimono to touch her bare thigh and so on. Yomi moans a little before being silenced by Hikage's lips again.

"Hikage-saan...haaah...!" she says.

"Yomi...I love you. You're so cute...so beautiful that I never want you to leave my sight."

"Oh, Hikage-san! Thank you so much! You're finally honest~!"

"Thank Katsu for that," Hikage says. "She taught me little by little how to feel. And now...I can apply that knowledge to you."

Yomi smiles and wraps her arms around the greenette to share another passionate kiss. The two go at it for about an hour or so before they realize that time has passed by. The festival has started already, so they pull away and exit the room to attend the wonderful place full of people, food and games.

They start walking around, observing each and every booth they come across. There are some yummy goods, candy apples being sold, balloons being given for free and games left and right.

Yomi then notices some kebabs cooking and rushes toward the booth to take two and hands one of them to Hikage. The greenette takes a bite and hums softly at the taste. Yomi eats hers happily and rushes over to another booth to buy two chocolate-covered apples. Hikage simply eats the chocolate and fruity goodness and hums at the taste as well.

Yomi giggles at the greenette liking what she gives her.

By the time they get to the games, Yomi quickly notices a fishing game where a cute bluenettte and a blonde girl are participating. The cute bluenette manages to catch the fish and put it in a tiny bag full of water.

"Way to go, Umi~!" the blonde says, patting her on the back and kissing her on the cheek. "Khorosho~!"

"St-stop being so shameless out in public, Eli...!" the blushing bluenette squeaks and the two leave the booth immediately, leaving it open for Yomi to participate.

"I'm going to catch one!" she declares as she grabs a small net. "Just watch!"

The fish jump around wildly as they are trying to dodge Yomi's attempts to capture one of their aquatic brethren. Hikage just watches with a hand on her hip, finding that this girl is really entertaining and so very cute. Finally, one fish manages to jump up, but Yomi's ninja reflexes help her capture it with the net and then put it inside a bag full of water.

"I got one! I got one!" she cheers. She turns around to her girlfriend to show her.

"Congrats, Yomi," the greenette says. "Where shall we go next?"

"Hmmm..." Hikage looks around until she sees some sparklers nearby. She remembers that the fireworks start soon. "I want to buy us some sparklers. Then we can sit somewhere to light them up."

"That's a great idea!" Yomi says happily.

They go to the booth to buy two sparklers for the fireworks event and head toward another booth where there are some more sweets. Yomi gladly takes two taiyaki and hands one of them to Hikage. All of a sudden, there is a short brunette with medium length brown hair and a red head band on her head, wearing a yutaka herself, begging the vendor for some taiyaki herself.

"Isn't she cute~?" she says to herself.

The two girls keep exploring and observing the festival until they come across a shrine. They have just enough money to drop some coins and pray for their good fortune and wishes. However, like always, they have to wait in line to do that. Fortunately, it's not too long, so they have to wait for about 25 minutes or so. Yomi looks up at the sky with a smile on her face.

"It's so dark now," she says, softly. "I can hardly believe how much time has gone by and so quick, too~!"

"Time flies when you're having fun," Hikage states as she gently squeezes her hand.

"Well said," Yomi says as she rests her head on her girlfriend's.

The line moves quickly and by the time she and Hikage are up, they flip the coins into the box and start praying. Hikage opens one eye to see her beloved praying. She looks so peaceful when she's like this, especially at night. The blonde opens one eyes as well and giggles.

"Are you curious~?" she giggles.

"N-no," Hikage replies. "I was just...admiring you."

"Fufu! You can admire me all you want after this, okay~?"

"Alright..."

It only takes a few minutes or so to pray for their wishes, keeping to themselves. Then, they exit the shrine for the next couple to donate their money. And by that time, the people start to gather around to watch the fireworks, which are about 15 minutes away. Hikage glances at her blonde girlfriend, who just smiles.

"I know someplace private we can watch the fireworks at," she says.

"Where?"

"Follow me~"

Taking each other's hand, they race down toward a small hill far from where the festival is actually being held, but it has a perfect, clear view of the fireworks. They sit down and wait for the fireworks to start. Yomi rests her head on Hikage's shoulder.

"There," the blonde says. "Nice and quiet. Don't you agree?"

"Yeah...yeah, it's much better than being in a crowded area," Hikage says. "You got some really good ideas tonight, Yomi."

"Fufu! Thanks for the praise, Hikage-san~"

The two wait a little while until the fireworks officially start. Booming noises are heard, plus the wonderful colors flash before their eyes, making them go "Ohhh" and "Ahh" at each sight. Hikage and Yomi stand up, holding each other's hand as they admire the fireworks before them.

"Say, Yomi," Hikage says.

"Yes, Hikage-san?" The blonde turns toward the greenette.

"This was the best first date ever. I couldn't have done it without Katsu teaching me how to feel. Otherwise...we wouldn't have been where we are today."

Yomi turns and cups her beloved's cheeks in her hands.

"I'm so glad you were able to be honest. That makes me very happy, inside and out."

"Yomi..."

"Hikage-san..."

Both girls tenderly cradle each other's cheeks, then they lean in and share a deep, passionate kiss, all while the fireworks continue to light the night sky before them.

"I love you...~"

~The End~

Yuri-chan: Probably would've been better with Ikaruga x Yomi right? ahaha...

I'm sorry if this pairing doesn't meet anyone's approval. But it does to me. I've seen them interact before, especially that cutscene from Bon Appetite. So...that's why I came up with this pairing. I think it's nice, but...I don't know about any of you.

S-so all of this is done by me, so praise me for my work, please!

Have a nice day~!
