Makarov inwardly cursed that Mirajane was on holiday.

Not that she didn't deserve one especially one with her brother and sister after having just been reunited with Lisanna….but with Mirajane gone that meant there was no one to deal with the paperwork and the requests and the bar….

So Makarov had to do it.

On top of all the other paperwork and meetings and other crap he had to deal with.

Why was he Master of such a chaotic, troublemaking, guild filled with brats again?

With another heavy sigh (the third one in the last ten minutes), Makarov reached out for the next job request to approve. It was a pest control request from a Mr A Gagg….

Makarov might be exhausted and bored out of his mind but he wasn't stupid. He can spot a prank when he sees one and this one just reeks of Natsu's childish stupidity. No, wait, scratch that, Natsu wasn't good with words.

It stank of Gray or Bickslow thinking they were being funny.

"Stupid brats!" Makarov growled as he furiously ripped the paper into shreds. The request fell all over the desk and floor like white confetti. "Shitty, smug, kids who think they're being funny and oh, so, witty," he muttered darkly as he got up and marched out of his office. "YOU SHITTY BRATS!" he bellowed. The general buzz of loud voices, laughter, and fighting instantly halted to a stop as every member turned to look up at Makarov with false, wide-eyed, innocence. "I DON'T KNOW WHICH ONE OF YOU DID IT BUT THE NEXT FUNNY GUY WHO PUTS IN A FAKE JOB REQUEST WILL GET THAT PUNISHMENT!" Everyone simultaneously shuddered at the mention of that punishment even Lucy, Wendy, Gajeel, Juvia, Charle, and Lily who still didn't know what that punishment was. "I'LL SHOW YOU A GAGG!" Makarov barked before he whirled round, stormed back into his office, and slammed the door shut with a thunderous bang that shook the whole guild building.

"…..A what?" Gray finally spoke up.

"I dunno," Natsu shrugged, "maybe Gramps finally lost it without Mira helping him out."

"Bickslow," Freed pinched his nose to fend off an oncoming headache, "you didn't send in another joke request did you?"

"Hey I learnt my lesson from the last time!" Bickslow snapped indignantly. "Though whoever came up with that one was genius. Heh," he snickered, "A Gagg. I wonder if the reward was a-"

"DON'T SAY IT!"

And with that the job request was forgotten entirely as the guild returned to its usual routine of chaos and destruction….

(…Meanwhile a Mr Anthony Gagg crouched fearfully behind his sofa as he wondered why Fairy Tail wouldn't answer his request to send out a pest control team for the magical giant rats that infested his living room. Was he offering too little a reward?)
