It's easy to look at things from one side, depending on what kind of life you've lived and what experiences you've had your view of the world and all that is in it can be very closed off. For practically every citizen of the world their lives have bee pretty good, aside from some disasters and monster attacks, they've always been able to count on heroes to protect them and keep the world from spiraling into complete chaos. And none have ever given more hope, instilled more peace of mind into the masses, than the world's strongest hero One Punch Man. But for a long time it seemed like he would be the only hero who could be that powerful, even such S class heroes like Tornado, Atomic Samurai, Metal Knight, Drive Knight, Silver Fang, and Kid Emperor could only dream of becoming or building something that powerful.
And while for them it was admittedly frustrating it also gave them something to strive for, something to inspire them to always be challenging themselves and be all that they could be, in the hopes that one day they might become just as strong as him. Yet as said this only applies to MOST of the world, there is still a fair amount of individuals who don't think heroes nor One Punch Man are great, there are those who despise them and want nothing more than to see them fall so that way their own ambitions can be realized. These select few are simply regarded as monsters, whether they be naturally born horrors or former humans who have transformed, either way they as anyone could guess want the entirety of the hero's association to be brought down and every hero, even One Punch Man, to be destroyed. Sadly as his name IS One Punch Man, and the other heroes that make S class are nothing to scoff at, it seemed like their hope for a world without heroes would never be realized.
As time passed by however certain things began to change, more and more monsters started to appear and there were whispers among their own about a new organization coming to light, one that served to make their dream of a hero free world a reality. Eventually those whispers would prove to be true, as in secret a Monster Association slowly formed, and those who were worthy of being included within it's ranks were brought in to both bolster their numbers as well as gain strength for the dawning conquest for the world. Soon as more and more began to join the idea that once was nothing more than a fantasy became all the more real, the day where even One Punch Man himself could be brought to his knees was beginning to seem more plausible, which only fueled their resolves and desires to see their plan through. Sadly though, just as they began to set their plan into action casualties began to occur, which they of course expected mind you as a war is not won without loss, but after their most recent mission in where one of their most powerful members had been slain in a single blow, they began to grow uneasy.
But it wasn't because the blow had been dealt by One Punch Man mind you, it had been dealt by a new hero that no one had ever seen before, he appeared without warning and with but a single blast of purple light, he managed to reduce the once feared and mighty Elder Centipede to nothing but ash. So now all of the Monster Association's members gathered together to discuss their plans moving forward, as now they not only had One Punch Man to fear but this new mysterious hero as well.
"WHAT'RE WE GONNA DO?!" One voice, among several panicked ones cried out, as the meeting space of the M.A. was nothing short of a full blown riot "ONE PUNCH MAN WAS BAD ENOUGH! BUT NOW THERE'S A SECOND HERO JUST AS POWERFUL! THEY EVEN KILLED ELDER CENTIPEDE!" They shouted.
"WILL YOU SHUT UP ALREADY!" Another one barked, they being from the group that was remaining calm "WHAT GOOD WILL PANICKING DO HUH? WE NEED TO KEEP OUR CALM AND THINK THIS THROUGH!" They insisted.
"WHAT'S TO THINK ABOUT?! WE'RE FUCKED! WE'RE ALL GOING TO DIE!" The same one cried out.
"ENOUGH." A Powerful and booming voice spoke.
Knowing well who that voice belonged to every monster in the room immediately fell silent and kept still, not wanting to incur the wrath of their leader.
"It is true that this new hero poses a significant threat to our operations." It began as it looked down at them from it's seat "But we still have numbers, we still have power, and while the loss of Elder Centipede is tragic, we still have plenty of ground." It assured "Nothing in the grand scheme has been affected too severely, all that has come from this event is the realization we must be more careful in our approach, our targets from here on out will be more precise, and our attacks more coordinated, be rest assured that while this was a setback, it was not a serious blow to our plans." It told them.
"Oh yeah? and just HOW exactly are we going to proceed hm?" One of them questioned, incredibly doubtful they had thought of this.
"Simple, we will double down on our efforts of dealing with all lower ranked heroes, from there we will simply move upward until we approach S class, but until we have dealt more damage to their organization as a whole, no one will be allowed to challenge an S class, less you are certain you can kill them, understood?" It asked.
A murmur of voices could be heard as all of the monsters conversed among themselves, debating what they should do. Sadly this would prove to be the worse thing they could do, as their leader had expected an immediate answer and thus with a display of their power regained their attention.
"UNDERSTOOD?" It asked again, making it very clear that they would not ask a third time.
Receiving a resounding "YES!" from all in the room the meeting was then adjourned, so that they could gather themselves and continue their efforts to succeed in their conquest..
"Whoa...who is that guy?" Atomu questioned, as he and the other members of the House of Evolution all stared at a television.
Work for the HoE's members had been fairly steady, all of them even Fujio, Suguru, and Genjiro had success in their outings as heroes, resulting in them usually leaving and returning around the same time every day. But lately their creator had insisted they be more careful when going on patrols as well as lessen the amount of time they go out, and while all of them did wonder what the sudden concern was for, they knew that he had become quite close with Metal Knight as the other's robotic stand ins were constantly coming and going, so they didn't question it. Still this caused them to lounge around their home more than they had done in quite some time, and for a while during these moments there wasn't anything worthwhile to keep their minds stimulated, which quickly ended as they turned on the news for today.
"I dunno, I've never seen or heard of someone like that." Chikara said.
"Yeah well, you're still in C class so that's not a big surprise." Kamakyuri replied, knowing well it would get a rise out of him.
"YOU WANNA GO TO THE TRAINING ROOM AND SEE HOW WELL YOU HOLD YOUR OWN MACHETE HANDS?!" Chikara shouted at him, causing him to laugh.
"Eh, he's kinda cool, but he's not Saitama." Mutsuko commented, with a disinterested shrug of her shoulders.
"Oh come on Mutsuko, even you have to admit the dude's impressive, he took out that massive centipede in a single blow!" Fujio exclaimed causing her to role her eyes.
"So what? did you see what he was wearing? that's probably just some tech doing that, even Metal Knight has stuff like that." She argued as she crossed her arms, a proud smirk present on her face "But SAITAMA only needs to punch things and they die, hell he probably would only need to flick that dumb bug and he would've been killed." She reasoned.
"Um, you do realize you're a bug too right?" Genjiro asked.
"I am a WOMAN, that THING was just an overgrown pillbug." She clarified for him.
"Centipede." He corrected.
"DO YOU WANT TO BE TURNED INTO MOLE MEAT?!" She asked as she readied her claws.
As the lot began to shout back and forth at each other, which was actually normal since none of them seemed capable of restraining the urge to annoy one another, both Atomu and Suguru continued to watch the news program to see what else was known about this new hero.
"Wait...where's Bunji?" Both asked, as it dawned on them that their feline member wasn't among them.
It's hard for someone to cope with something that shakes the very fabric of their reality, whether it be news of a loved one's passing or of a horrible tragedy that took place somewhere in the world, there are many times when a person from any facet of life can be rattled. Such was the case for the quickly rising hero hunter Garou, as nearly an hour ago he witnessed a monster the size of an entire city be killed from one attack by a hero. But the thing that made it so shocking to him wasn't the death itself, as he did live in a world with One Punch Man, but the fact that the hero who did it wasn't him is what unraveled him so. Over the course of his entire life Garou wanted nothing more than for villains and monsters to reign supreme over heroes, for he truly believed with all his heart that they were far superior to them.
And while he also knew the task of taking down One Punch Man would be difficult, he now had to deal with TWO heroes capable of killing their foes without even trying.
"Seriously, what kind of bullshit is this?!" He wondered as he walked down the sidewalk with his hands in his pockets "One Punch Man was bad enough, but now I've gotta figure out how to kill two heroes who can just one shot monsters, how the hell am I going to do that?!"
Having been entirely focused on his thoughts since he saw it, Garou hadn't really paid attention to where he was walking or what was around him. As a result not only was he unintentionally going back to the park where he had been meeting with the kid and his book, but he was spotted by someone who had been patrolling the area nearby.
"Hey!" A voice called out to him, though he didn't hear it as he was lost in thought "You shouldn't be here! there's a lot of monsters nearby!" It told him.
Watching as he continued to walk without acknowledging them, the voice's owner then walked over to get his attention.
"Sir." The person spoke, as they stopped him by placing a hand on his shoulder "You really need to evacuate, this area isn't safe." They said.
Even if they hadn't place their hand on his shoulder Garou managed to hear them the second time around as they had closed the distance, but as he looked over his shoulder to see who would be so stupid to casually approach him, his eyes widened from surprise. Standing there was a creature that could only be described as a bipedal lion, and if this had happened a few days ago Garou would assume it was just some random monster, but thanks to the kid and his book he knew EXACTLY who this was.
"Sir, are you alright?" Bunji asked, noticing his widened eyes "Do you need help getting home?"
However, as he asked that question Beast King's entire body compelled him to jump backwards, and upon doing so he watched as the man thrust his hand backwards towards him, and judging from how fast and powerful that action alone seemed, it may very well have pierced his chest had he not evaded. Though instead of being surprised, or even just a little shaken, Beast King glared towards the other as he turned around to fully face him, for he realized just who he had encountered.
"You're him right? the hero hunter?" Bunji questioned, causing him to smile.
"And what if I am?" Garou responded as he cracked his knuckles "What's a freak like you gonna do about it?" He asked.
"Freak huh? funny coming from someone so arrogant that they think they can just go around hunting heroes." Bunji countered.
"Better than an overgrown house cat playing good guy." Garou replied as his smile turned into a grin "Tell me something, why be something as boring and pointless as a hero? you could easily be a badass monster, so why waste your time with this?" He questioned.
"Hmph, you really are an idiot." Bunji said as he unsheathed his claws "Why would I ever be a monster when there's heroes like One Punch Man?" He asked.
Upon hearing that name be spoken, especially after what he witnessed, Garou couldn't keep himself from initiating the fight by rushing forward and sending forth a powerful roundhouse kick. A bit surprised by how saying something so simple managed to get a rise out of him, Bunji still easily dodged the attack and sought to counter it with one of his own, quickly bringing back his right arm before sending it down towards him, only to be stopped as Garou caught it with his own. With an opening now present Garou attempted to counterattack with a strike from his free hand going once more for the chest, only to have his strike much like Bunji's be caught with other's free hand. Now standing there keeping each other locked in place, neither wanting to be the first to move as they knew that would give their opponent the perfect window to act, they just stood there trying to over power their foe.
"You're...not so bad...hero hunter..." Bunji grunted out, as he applied more force, hoping to push him into the ground "You might actually...give me a decent workout..." He added.
"Are all heroes...this cocky...or is it just the REALLY ugly ones?..." Garou taunted, holding his ground impressively well considering the size difference between them.
Continuing to be locked in a stalemate for a few more moments as both considered their options, it would be Garou who would act first as an idea came to mind. Due to their difference in size and from how both of them were standing, there was a decent sized gap between Bunji's legs that he could easily go through, so after breaking free of his grasp Garou swiftly dodged beneath him, successfully avoiding his fists as they went straight into the street. Knowing well even with his speed he would need to recover Garou continued with his opportunity and sent forth a second roundhouse kick, this time managing to connect it with Bunji's back. Watching as he was sent flying into a nearby parked car, he wasted not a second to try and end the fight then and there by delivering a series of quick yet precise and powerful strikes to his abdomen.
Like bullets spraying from a machine gun his hands all went forward jabbing into Bunji's torso, and despite his body being very defined due to his physical build, the skin was still able to ripple and sink as the number of blows rose. After a solid full minute of dealing out the attack it was over, Bunji's body was limp and showed no signs of life, causing a grin to come to Garou's face.
"Heh, what a joke." He said as he stepped away "Beast King? pft, more like a glorified throw rug." He joked, as he turned and walked away.
Breathing a contented sigh as every bit of stress and frustration he felt previously had been alleviated thanks to the fight, Garou was ready to refocus and get back to the task at hand. But as he was nearing the end of the street the sound of shifting metal just barely reached his ears, and so out of instinct he turned around in an immediate stance ready to fight. Only instead of finding his opponent rising from the car or even having quickly gotten to his feet and was now rushing him, he found just mere inches away from his person that very car hurtling towards him. Though thankfully as he was already in a proper stance he was able to stop the vehicle dead in it's tracks, having dealt a single powerful strike to it which managed to kill all of it's momentum.
"You...little...bastard..." The voice of Bunji, though far more intense and almost sounding like a growl spoke "You RUINED my belt..."
Before Garou could respond or do anything else however, the furred paw like hand of Bunji punched through the car's body and grabbed onto him, pulling him through and slamming him into the ground. Admittedly feeling a great wave of pain wash through him and a spurt of blood escape his mouth from the impact, Garou looked up at the figure towering over him and for a moment didn't even recognize who it was. For unlike before, where Bunji merely appeared as a beast but acted and spoke like a normal person, he now was showing Garou EXACTLY why his hero name was Beast King. His already red eyes seemed to glow with pure hatred and blood lust, his muscles which were already large and imposing now swelled and grew bigger, and his claws which were deadly and big enough to slice through stone, were now nearly the size of Garou's torso.
Knowing well he had to move otherwise this would go badly Garou immediately rolled backwards and leapt away to get some distance, hoping that he would have just enough time to get his footing. Sadly as he was midair Bunji grabbed onto his arm, and began savagely beating him back and forth against the ground before tossing him up into the air.
"NOW YOU DIE!" He shouted as he leapt up after him, his whole body bulking up to the point that his shirt ripped itself apart "LION SLASH METEOR POWER SHOWER!"
Unleashing his full power Bunji began slashing wildly at Garou, his arms and claws moving at such a blinding rate of speed, that if anyone were nearby to bare witness all they would see would be a series of silver streaks striking at Garou's person. Within but twenty seconds Bunji had managed to deliver over fifty swipes of his claws, but as they began to fall back towards the ground, he grabbed onto Garou's body and flipped around to where he could now slam him into the ground.
"FINISHING MOVE: METEOR SHATTER SLAM!" He shouted, as he sent them both into the street.
With enough power and speed to rival a ballistic missile they went crashing into the concrete, the impact so devastating it not only took out a massive chunk of the street and it's surrounding sidewalks, but also managed to generate a considerable amount of heat causing both the metal and stone to glow bright orange. And rising from within the now building sized crater that was made from the attack was a sweat and rubble covered Bunji, who despite having used a great deal of energy wasn't even winded.
"Been a while since I used that move..." He said to himself, as he looked down at the beaten and bloody form of Garou "I'll give you this much hero hunter, least you weren't a pushover." He complimented, as he turned his back to him.
Climbing out of the crater Bunji proceeded to do a few light stretches just to get rid of any lingering tension, just so he wouldn't be sore later. But as he finished up and began to take a step away a sudden horrid pain shot out from his chest, causing him to freeze in his place.
"Heroes...they're all the same." Garou spoke, having somehow gotten up from the crater and moved behind Bunji, all the while the other hadn't even noticed "They start out every fight the exact. same. way." He went on, as Bunji dropped to his knees "They hold back, then they don't, then they do some stupid over the top move and they think that wins them the fight, but guess what? it doesn't" He said, as he leaned forward to whisper in his ear "And that is why all heroes, especially ones like you, are idiots." He told him as he pulled his arm out from his chest.
Watching as Bunji fell forward onto what remained of the road, Garou watched him for several seconds after just to be certain this was over, and after no signs of life were shown he felt a smirk come to his face.
"But hey, I'll give you this much Beast King." He taunted as he looked down at his hands, which had several cuts and gashes covering them "You managed to actually hurt me kinda, which is more than I can say about that dumbass Metal Bat." He admitted "So thanks, you ended up turning a rather crappy day into a not so bad one." He added, before walking away.
Making sure to be on guard just in case this was a ruse, as the only sound he could hear continued being Bunji's blood dripping into the crater behind him, Garou began to whistle to himself as there was no doubt he was dead.
Everyone at some point in their life has wondered what it would be like to be a hero, whether it was when they were a small child or someone posed the question to them, it's an idea that has crossed many if not all minds at one point or another. But then there are few who consider becoming a hero not for the glory, the fame, the enriching feeling of doing what's right, but because to them it seems like easy money. Such was the case for a young man simply known as Bad, and while that was his given name from birth you could easily assume it was given to him due to his personality. Like many youths Bad was a very stubborn person who didn't like it when people told him how to do things nor how to act, and as a result he'd end up picking a fight with anyone, even his own teachers and authority figures in order to prove his point.
Eventually getting bored of school, mainly because there was no one who could handle him there, he began roaming the streets ready to pick a fight with anyone who dared to get in his way. However, fate would conspire to set a path for the troubled lad, as one day when he walked down the street he saw advertised "The Heroes Association", and while most upon seeing such a thing would feel inspired to do good, he mostly saw it as an excuse to beat the shit out of people and get paid for it. Taking the exam and passing with flying colors in the physical tests, though not so much in the written portion, he landed himself firmly at the bottom of C class. And where as before he might've taken offense to it, threaten to beat the shit out of them if they didn't give him a better position, he let it slide because now he could go around hunting monsters and freaks as he pleased, then get paid a decent chunk of change for when he reduced'em to mush.
Though with so many different people with varying skills, attributes, and even actual powers enlisting all at once, he found his climb in the rankings to be progressing...not at all. And seeing as how the pay was based entirely on your position, he doubled down and began hunting monsters day and night trying to climb as quickly as he could. This did not go over well however with his little sister Zenko, though being far younger than him she was ironically the more level headed and responsible between them, always having to make sure her brother knew his own limits and didn't get himself killed. And while she was without a doubt the most important thing to him, the thing he'd be willing to lay down his life for should he ever have to, he was still a human being and they of course like any normal siblings fought, ESPECIALLY when he became a hero.
Every day when he would come home, clothes tattered, body riddled with cuts and bruises, and yet another metal bat damaged beyond repair, she'd start shouting at him to not to be so stupid and he'd shout back telling her that he knew what he was doing. But then one night when he got home they had a VERY bad fight, the worse they ever had, and it ended with both of them simply going to their rooms and slamming the doors shut, neither leaving nor speaking to the other throughout the course of the night. Even when morning came both of them were still steaming, so much so that he left earlier than usual so he could relieve some anger by killing monsters. Yet as if the universe was conspiring against him there was no activity from either criminals nor monsters that day, at least not in his city, so he decided to catch a train and go somewhere else to hopefully find something that could boost his ranking.
And while upon arriving in the next town over he was able to find a few wanted monsters who he promptly snuffed out over the course of a few hours, he would soon come to regret his decision to come to this city. As he walked passed an electronics store, he heard the newswoman who was on the display television talk about how there was a horrifying monster currently rampaging through a city, HIS city. Watching with widened eyes as his town was getting destroyed, he immediately without thinking began running with all his might back home, hoping that his little sister had gone somewhere, was off doing something, and wasn't still at home. Even with every fiber of his being pushing him to his limits it would still take a full ten minutes before he made it back, exhausted and on the brink of collapse he still pushed on desperate to protect his sister.
But as he arrived on the street that they lived on he found himself being tackled to the ground by none other than Zenko, who with tears in her eyes was hugging him as tightly as she could, glad he was okay. Hugging her back and asking if she was alright as well, she told him that when she woke up and couldn't find him, but saw outside that there was a monster rampaging through the city, she worried that he had gone to deal with it and hadn't been successful. Since then she had gone looking for him hoping that her fears were wrong, but as she did she was soon discovered by the monster and it quickly advanced to try and kill her. Unable to do anything other than scream she shut her eyes tight waiting for it to happen, only to be met with a sudden powerful gust of wind and the monster going silent.
Yet just as she was about to continue her story someone else walked up to them, a man in a bloodstained blue workout jumpsuit with a head of messy black hair.
"This is him!" She exclaimed as she got up, dragging an arm across her eyes to get rid of her tears as she did "This is Saitama! he's the one who saved me!"
Feeling an overwhelming sensation of gratitude come over him like it never had until now, before Bad could muster the words to try and show how thankful he was Saitama placed a hand on his shoulder, and told him something that he would never forget.
"Hey man it's cool, don't worry about." He said with a smile "If people can't rely on heroes to save them, who can they rely on?"
With but one final goodbye to them both he then took his leave, even though Zenko tried to convince him to let her treat his injuries he assured her he was fine. Bad on the other hand was left completely stunned, that guy could've asked him for anything in return for having saved his sister, and he would have given it to him no problem. But the fact that all he cared about was saving his sister, combined with what he had told him, Bad's entire outlook on being a hero changed forever that day. From then onward he wouldn't be so careless nor overzealous about moving up the ranks, all he cared about was being a real hero and protecting people, just like Saitama.
Eventually on one of his patrols a few weeks after he came across a rather weird looking monster that resembled a tooth, and after a good few swings from his bat cracked it open, he was contacted by the hero's association and promoted to S class. Not too long after he was invited to their headquarters and was presented with a metal bat, which had also become his namesake, that would never break in the slightest. And while that in of itself combined with the promotion was an amazing reward, it was who he ran into on his way out that really made it worthwhile. Though he looked a bit different as he had a brand spanking new costume, there was no denying that the man who stood before him was Saitama.
As it turned out Saitama was actually the top ranking hero of S class, and he had heard someone who sounded familiar to him was being added today and he wanted to see who it was. So from there on out the two of them would frequently cross paths, whether in the field fighting an S class level threat or whenever a meeting was held, and sometimes when he could escape from the fans he'd even stop by and see Zenko, because otherwise she'd just badger Bad until he made it happen. And even after he became the infamous One Punch Man, after his fans became their own legion of crazed psychopaths, they still had a good friendship made of mutual respect. At least, that's what he hoped was the case...
...
...Big Brother...
...
...Big Brother...
...
BIG BROTHER!
"GAH!" Metal Bat shouted in surprise, as he jolted into an upright position.
Startled from his slumber he frantically looked around to see where he was, only to find that he was in some kind of hospital room, with his body having bandages wrapped around it and a few machines hooked up to it as well.
"Finally!" Zenko, the one responsible for shouting in his ear exclaimed, as she crossed her arms and glared at him "I thought you were just gonna sleep all day!" She admitted.
"Zenko...where are we?..." He asked her, still coming to his senses.
"We're at the hero hospital!" She answered.
"Hero hospital?..." He questioned.
"Mhm! that's what the doctor said!" She replied "I think his name was jeans? or something..." She added.
"Wait...do you mean Genus?" He asked, causing her to nod.
Letting out a sigh as he now knew where they were, in all honesty he wouldn't have remembered if he hadn't come here recently for some physical tests that the association wanted him to take.
"Where is he?" He asked, as he rubbed the back of his neck.
"You're not the only hero who got their butt kicked." She told him, admittedly striking a nerve "Apparently the Beast King also got beaten, they brought him here not long after we did!" She explained.
"Huh...really?" He questioned, for while he didn't know Beast King personally he had seen him on the news a few times, and he seemed like a pretty tough dude.
"Mhm, so the doctor had to go treat him too." She said.
Laying back in his bed as he was still EXTREMELY tired after everything he'd been through today, he closed his eyes to get some more rest.
"HEY!" She exclaimed, as she punched him in his side causing his eyes to widen "DON'T GO BACK TO SLEEP!"
"HOW ABOUT YOU DON'T PUNCH ME IN THE RIBS?!" He suggested, as they began to shout back and forth at each other.
"Man, this tournament's huge!" Kaemon exclaimed, as they looked over the fight card.
It had been nearly an hour since Saitama aka Charanko, King, and Kaemon all arrived at the Super Fight tournament, but none of them thought it strange as even when they got there many contestants and spectators were still pouring in.
"Considering we just got this delivered, they're probably going to start the tournament soon." King reasoned as Kaemon handed it to him to look over "So what's your plan Saitama?" He asked.
"What do you mean?" The other replied.
"I mean how're you gonna go about this?" King clarified "The whole point of doing this is so that we lure Garou out and catch him, but how far do you plan to go into the tournament before you forfeit?"
"Why would I forfeit?" Saitama questioned.
"...Saitama." King said, as he slowly looked towards his friend "You...aren't ACTUALLY planning on winning this thing right?" He asked.
"Well yeah, why wouldn't I?" He asked in return.
"BECAUSE IT'S YOU WE'RE TALKING ABOUT!" King shouted, as he pinched the bridge of his nose "Saitama, literally NO ONE on the planet is capable of hurting you, no one is faster than you nor stronger, if they knew who you were you probably wouldn't even be allowed in this tournament to begin with!" He reasoned.
"Your point?" Saitama asked.
"YOU. ARE. LITERALLY. A LIVING CHEAT CODE!" King shouted once more "It isn't fair to the other participants if you actually go on to win this thing!" He argued.
"King does have a pretty good point." Kaemon agreed.
"Okay, then let me ask you this King." Saitama said as he crossed his arms "Which do you think would be worse, for the old man's ONLY remaining student to lose at the very beginning of the tournament, for him to make it all the way to the finals and then suddenly throw it, or for him to just win the whole thing?" He asked.
"Oof, Saitama's got ya there." Kaemon agreed, just casually switching between both sides of the argument.
"What the, Bang isn't even here!" King argued before he let out a sigh "Look alright? let's just go through the first few rounds, and then after that we'll see what happens?" He suggested, earning a nod from them.
"Attention, will all participating fighters please come to the arena, the opening ceremony is about to begin." The announcer called out over the speakers.
"That's my cue." Saitama said as he stood up from his seat.
"Good Luck Saitama!" Kaemon called, as the other walked out.
"...Kaemon." King spoke, gaining their attention "You do realize that wishing him good luck is about as pointless as giving money to the richest man on earth right?" He asked.
"Wouldn't that also be Saitama though?" Kaemon inquired, completely missing the point of the question.
Letting out another sigh as he was truly defeated King merely let his head fall onto the table, leaving Kaemon to pick up the fight card and read it some more.
