What's up, everyone! This is GKC here bringing you the next chapter of "Spirits of Fairies".
I'm really sorry that you readers who petition OCs weren't chosen. But like I said, I was originally gonna do the four OCs, but after seeing all your petitions, I'm adding them anyway. Though some may not be introduced until later on, depending on what Arc Appearance you guys chose.
Now for the disclaimer: I do not own, except my OCs, Fairy Tail or the Fate series. All rights belong to their respective owners.
Now let's get this party started… BEGIN!
Chapter 3: Hot Springs and Story Time
It's been a full week since I've been in Magnolia. A full week as a member of Fairy Tail.
Ever since Lucy and I brought back Ratha, it's been pretty quiet.
With the money we earned (and after splitting the reward in half), I managed to find myself a fully furnished apartment which, coincidentally enough, was the same as Lucy's. Still, having to pay rent for 70,000 jewels as well as raising a rambunctious wyvern can leave a man like me pretty exhausted.
Regardless, it's nice having a friend to talk with whenever I feel lonely. Ratha's a good listener but I think he likes Lucy more than me. Probably because babies usually prefer their mothers over their fathers.
"Uh, Chris? You're spacing out again."
"Huh?" I blinked then realized I was back in the half-finished guild hall and sitting beside me was Lucy while Mirajane managed the bar. Ratha slept soundly on the counter as both girls gently ran their hands over his tiny body, much to his delight as evident by the slight purring noise I could hear in-between his breathing.
"You seem to do that a lot, don't you?" Mirajane giggled.
A sheepish grin formed on my face, "Hehe, sorry, it's a habit of mine."
"So what were you thinking about?" Lucy asked.
"Eh…just thinking about the past week since I joined." I shrugged. "Despite the craziness around here, it's still a fun place to be in."
"Good thing you didn't join up before the whole conflict with Phantom Lord." Mirajane said with a gloomy expression.
I frowned. "I heard about that. Apparently, the Master of Phantom Lord was out to destroy Fairy Tail, right?" I asked, despite knowing the events behind it, I still couldn't help but feel sorry for everyone in the guild.
"Yeah, it's…something I'd rather not talk about…" Lucy frowned sadly, as her hand was trembling a bit.
"Were you…involved somehow?" I asked.
Of course I knew, but I needed to hear it from Lucy herself. "I…"
"If it's too personal, you don't have to tell me. Your reaction is enough, Lucy." I assured her. "I can understand if its too painful."
"No, it's…fine…" Lucy muttered. "The thing is…Phantom Lord was hired by my father to bring me back home. I ran away because I didn't want to live my life back there. And…Phantom Lord, they…"
"I get it…your father didn't like you acting rebellious, so he hired them to do anything necessary to get you back…even if it meant killing everyone you knew…" I frowned.
"Y-Yes…" Lucy clenched her teeth. She was trying so hard not to cry. Oh, you brave girl…
"Rawr!"
"Eh?" Lucy looked on the counter and noticed Ratha, who had seemingly sensed her sadness and awoke from his nap. The wyvern released another small, scratchy roar before he settled on nuzzling his head against her neckline.
A smile found its way to my lips, "I guess Ratha doesn't like it when his mama gets sad."
"Yeah, I guess so." Lucy smiled a bit.
"So…what happened after?" I asked. "I mean, after you beat the crap out of Phantom Lord?"
"Oh, well, I went back home and warned my dad that if he ever tried that again then Fairy Tail would take him down." Lucy said, sheepishly.
"Natsu went straight over there as soon as he heard what you were planning." Mirajane giggled. "Well, actually, it's more like they broke into her apartment and found those letters."
"They read my letters to my Mama?!" Lucy gawked.
"Wow, your friends have no respect for privacy, do they?" I said, dryly. Even though I had the most amused grin plastered on my face.
"Be lucky they haven't done that to you." The blonde girl groaned while petting Ratha's head.
For some reason, I think she just jinxed me. "Yeah, though I doubt it'll last long."
"Lucy, Chris!" I turned to the sound of my name being called to see Natsu with Happy hanging on his shoulders with the biggest toothy grin on his face. "Come on! We've got a job lined up!"
"Huh? Me too?" I gestured to myself. I didn't think I'd be a part of Team Natsu so quickly.
"Yeah you!"
"Whoa, hold on. What's the job?" I asked.
"We're dealing with a gang of thieves at Fort Term!" Happy chimed in.
My brow furrowed. Fort Term? If I remember correctly, that's before the gang goes to that hot spring town to relax then meets- "Alright, I'll join in." I said with a smile before glancing at Ratha. "How about you, little buddy? Wanna come along?"
"Rawr!" Rath roared, then looked at Natsu. Oh no, nononono! Ratha don't-
*FOOOOOSH!*
Dammit, he spit fire in Natsu's face again…
…and the pyromaniac ate it.
"Man, that's good! Thanks for the snack, Ratha!" Natsu said, cheerfully.
It's weird that I'm completely used to this craziness at this point…
"Moo~!" Taurus yelled out as he punched another thief on the head, leaving a massive bump coming out from his head as he fell down and knocked out.
"Good job! One-hit knockout!" Lucy cheered out giving a high-five to Taurus who gladly high-fived her back with hearts for eyes.
"You're so amazing, Lucy!" Taurus replied happily.
Natsu slammed a terrified thief into the wall knocking him out and leaving the upper half of his face dark blue with blank eyes and a dropped jaw, "These guys are such pushovers."
Behind him was Gray who was keeping another thief pinned to the ground with his foot against his face while the man was crying his eyes out, while behind him were the rest of the thieves who were all either knocked out or injured but conscious lying against or sprawled out on their destroyed table, crates, and barrels in the room. "Don't go robbing people when you're such weaklings!"
"Seiyah!" I shouted, kicking a thief in the head and sending him crashing into a table. "Man, this was too easy. I didn't even need to use a Class Card."
"You think you'll get away with doing this to us?" One of the conscious but beaten up thieves said in anger.
"Master Devon won't stand for it!" Another thief stated.
"I wouldn't worry about him, he's already been dealt with." Happy says sliding in from out of nowhere.
Right, that should mean that at the moment-
"I've finished up over here as well." Erza calls from up a flight of stairs, unconscious thieves surrounding her with one being held by his shirt in her left hand as Lucy turns and looks up at her.
"That's our Erza!" The Celestial Wizard said, giving the redhead a thumbs up.
One thief who seems to have managed to survive the whole ordeal but is on the ground in terror finally decides to try and make a break for it, turning around onto his knees as he attempts to pick himself up to run. Erza however spots him and is immediately on him, kicking him across his face sending him flying forward "You won't escape!" Erza yells.
The thief hits the ground with his butt sticking up into the air, all of a sudden his eyes and mouth shoot open in shock and pain as Erza has her left boot literally on his butt pushing it around with a serious look on her face "Looks like you haven't had enough punishment yet…" Erza said in a serious tone.
"That's just wrong." I said bluntly. "Erza, I think you've dealt enough punishment."
Of course seeing this causes Taurus to cry out in shock but at the same time excitement as his eyes are widened narrowly and he has smoke coming out from his nose and pink blush on his cheeks. "Erza! Please punish me as well!" Taurus yells out with a plea as his eyes change to hearts, when he is suddenly covered in golden light and disappears.
"Forced Gate Closure, yeah!" Lucy cheers out with her eyes closed while holding Taurus's key out.
"Are your Celestial Spirits always this quirky…?" I sweat dropped.
"Unfortunately, yes," Lucy admitted with a sheepish chuckle.
I sighed before looking off to the side to see- "Ratha, spit that out! Now! You don't know where he's been!"
"Rawwwwwr!"
"Spit it out! Drop it! Now! Drop it! Drop i~t?"
"Why do you guys have a wyvern?" A semi-conscious thief whined while covered in saliva.
"Uh, because shut up." I said, stomping on the thief's head, knocking him out.
A few minutes later, we dealt with the thieves and called the proper authorities to take care of them.
"That took less time than I thought." Erza said.
"Yeah, that takes care of that." I said, dusting my hands off. "So? What now?"
Natsu however didn't seem to enjoy it as he whines out, "I didn't get to go nuts enough!" with blank narrowed eyes.
Gray spoke, "You were plenty nuts back there, buddy."
"Both of you were nuts." I told them with a dry look. "Besides, they were thieves. They hardly warranted any need for Magic."
"Lucy, check out this jewel!" Happy says holding a diamond in his left paw catching Lucy's attention.
"Hey! You can't just go take that!" She cried out in shock.
"Where and how did you get that?" I asked, with a raised eyebrow.
"Hey, isn't that Loke over there?" Happy asked, completely ignoring what me and Lucy said.
One day…one day, I will let Ratha eat that cat…
Anyways, down the road, I spotted the aforementioned Loke, who also seemed to notice us as well. Though, he looked…terrible, for lack of a better word.
"What a coincidence." Gray called out as we walked over to him.
"You had a job here?" Natsu asked.
"Yeah. You too?" Loke asked before he noticed Lucy and suddenly yelped with a panicked look on his face. "Lucy?!"
Lucy smiled, "This is perfect. I wanted to thank you for-"
She was cut off when Loke interjected, "Sorry, I'm in the middle of a job~!" He shouted before running away with his arms up in the air, leaving me and my friends behind with confused blank stares on our faces.
"What a weirdo." I said bluntly.
"W-What is with him?" Lucy questioned with an annoyed look on her face.
"What did you do to him?" Gray asked.
"Yeah, he avoids you like the plague." Natsu chimed in.
"I didn't do anything!" She cried out.
Ratha nudged my leg, drawing my attention down to him. "Rawr?"
"I have no idea, buddy. No idea at all…"
Again, I already knew, but I'd rather let it take its course.
Few minutes later, the army came in to arrest the thieves while we decided to watch from a distance.
"Guess we might as well head on home." Gray said with his hands in his coat pockets.
"Hey, since we actually finished a job early for once, why don't we head to a spa and take it easy?" Lucy suggested.
I rubbed my chin. "Makes sense. It's been a long time since I've been to a hot spring."
"Lucy…" Erza said, causing Lucy to become frightened as her eyes widened and jaws dropped with small blue lines going down the side of her face as Natsu and Gray's faces go dark blue and their eyes go blank, also frightened by what Erza's probably going to say or do.
Seriously, how are they doing that?! I've been wondering that for so long but the goddamn answer keeps slipping away!
"Yes, ma'am?" Lucy yelps out.
"I think that's a fine idea." The Requip Mage said with a smile, causing Lucy, Natsu, and Gray to sigh in relief.
"Alright, where to then?" I inquired.
"Hosenka Village, it's the most popular resort in all of Magnolia." Lucy stated.
The spa town of Hosenka, Magnolia's most popular spa town which was set up by a Duke influenced by the Orient, it is a garish and somewhat iffy tourist spot.
Still, it might make for a good place to relax.
"I have died and gone to Heaven…" I said, releasing a sigh of relief as my nude body sank into the relaxing hot springs. For some reason, every ache in my muscles just disappeared. Now if only I could get a peek at the goods, then I'd really be in Paradise.
What? Don't look at me like that. You would too if given the chance!
Anyway, perverted thoughts aside, the spa pool was red in color yet I saw no form of artificial coloring or tampering with the water itself.
I was the only one in the pool at the moment because Natsu, Gray, and Happy had already left before I got in. I'd take Ratha with me but he decided to follow Lucy and Erza into the women's section.
Overall, it was nice having a moment to myself. I was free to relax without having any stressful issues with the other Fairy Tail members.
But that begs the question…
…why am I here?
It's been on my mind ever since I arrived in this world. I don't even remember what happened before I came here. Was I sleeping? Did I get hit by a truck? Or did something else happen?
The full moon was the only thing overhead that gave me companionship. Not really much of a- Is that Juvia?
Yep, there she is. Gray's stalker, watching from behind the rock with a blush on her face and-
*BOOOOM!*
"OH, COME ON!" I shouted in disbelief, angrily leaving the bath and storming towards our assigned room.
One night. That's all I wanted.
One freaking night without those idiots fighting!
Stopping in front of the door, I slid it open and shouted, "WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON HERE!?"
Everyone paused. Natsu, Gray, and Erza had pillows in their hands while dressed in establishment-offered kimonos, though Erza's was halfway opened, revealing her rather almost exposed impressive figure, with her waistline shown as well, only held together by the obi sash that was loosely tied up. Lucy was outside on the ground and seemed to be half-conscious while Ratha was by her side, poking her with his little wings. Oh, Happy is also there with a pillow.
"Uh, Chris?" Natsu spoke.
"Shut up!" I shouted. "I was having a relaxing bath then you guys decided to have a pillow fight that nearly threatened to flatten the spa!?"
"Uh, Chris?" Gray pointed at…my crotch?
"What? What's so important down there that-" My words were caught when I looked down and saw that I had run in here…butt naked!?
"Oh my…" Erza muttered, her cheeks as red as her hair. "Nice set…"
"STOP LOOKING!" I cried out, using a fallen pillow to cover my private parts from view. "YOU'RE ALL A BUNCH OF PERVS!" I said, before storming away embarrassed and ashamed of myself.
"Man, he's weird." I heard Natsu say.
After that…embarrassing moment, I was back in the room dressed in a kimono of my own. I laid in the futon all curled up in the fetal position as I rocked back and forth. I can't believe Erza saw my manhood. Now I'll never get married…
…my life is over, I'll have to get a cat. Oh, wait. I have Ratha, that's something. Maybe take up a hobby. Knitting sounds nice. Or maybe bird watching. Yeah, that sounds-
"Why are you crying like a baby?" Happy asked me.
"SHUT UP, CAT! I AIN'T CRYING!" I yelled in comical anger.
"You sound like you are."
"NO I'M NOT!"
"Do you want fish?"
"I'M NOT HUNGRY!"
"Maybe I should get Erza…"
"GO BOTHER LUCY!"
"Okay."
…
…
…
I'm gonna kill him. Yep, I'm going to kill him.
"Hey, Chris."
"Yeah?" I said, looking at Natsu, Gray, and Erza who were sitting around a small table that had snacks as well as a pot of tea.
"Lucy said you told her a story about one of those Heroic Spirits. Can you tell us some?" Natsu asked.
"Uh…sure? I guess?" I said, as I got out of my futon. "So what kind of story do you want me to tell?"
"Hm, how about one about your Rider form?" Erza suggested.
"Achilles? Alright, I suppose I can talk about him." I said, hobbling over to the table. Once I sat at the table, I told the tale. "Okay, so Achilles is a warrior from a land called Greece."
"What's Greece?" Natsu asked.
*SHIRK!*
"DON'T INTERRUPT ME!" I shouted after jabbing a butter knife so deep into the wood, it left cracks near Natsu's hand.
"Forgive me!" The Dragon Slayer squealed.
"Where was I? Oh, right." I said with a calm smile. "Born from the sea goddess Thetis and the hero Peleus, Achilles was blessed by the gods from birth. His mother Thetis, having greatly loved her son, had warmed him within holy flames in order to try and make him immortal. But her husband Peleus had opposed it, saying "Then that would destroy Achilles as a human", and in the end Achilles grew up while only a certain part of him remained human."
"What part remained human?" Erza asked.
"His heel." I said. "Instead of warming Achilles in holy flames, he was instead dipped in the river Styx, where he was bathed in its water to make him invincible, except the one part of his body that held him up while he was dipped in. His heel. Which, unlike other parts of his body, would be the one place where he could be killed."
"That's stupid." Gray remarked. "Why not a finger or something?"
"Let me ask you this: What's the most likely place on your body that you'll be hit?" I asked them.
"The face." Natsu, Gray, and Erza answered in unison.
"Exactly. Now imagine fighting a warrior who is completely invulnerable to every attack save his heel and you had no idea about his weakness."
As expected, the three of them were surprised.
"Yeah, so you can imagine his enemies having a hard time figuring out his weakness, and many of them thought that he was truly blessed by the gods. Well, to an extent, that was partially true."
"Who taught Achilles how to fight?" Natsu asked with his arm raised in the air like a grade schooler.
"That would be Chiron. When Achilles was a young child, his mother Thetis returned to her home at the bottom of the sea, due to discord with his father Peleus. Chiron, who had raised many heroes, was an old friend of Peleus. Peleus requested Chiron to train his son and Chiron happily accepted the role of mentoring Achilles for nine years." I explained.
"Who is Chiron?" Erza inquired.
"We'll save his story for another time but to explain, he was a great teacher of many of Greece's ancient heroes. Plus, he's a centaur."
"A horse guy? Like Sagittarius?" Natsu pondered.
"Not like the one you're thinking about." I shook my head. "Anyways, as I was saying. After having grown up, he participated in the Trojan War as part of the Achaean army and continued achieving many great feats. He was a human who was exceedingly close to the level of the gods. A fast-sprinting hero with an invincible body, his body blessed by all the gods could never receive any wounds, but his heel alone was this hero's vital weak point. The spear his father had given to him pierced through all other heroes. With his chariot led by three steeds, consisting of two divine horses given to him as a gift from the sea god Poseidon and a famous horse he stole while assaulting a certain city, no one could chase after him from behind."
"Huh…he's been making a lot of rounds." Gray remarked.
"Yep, he lived his life to the fullest during that war." I said with a grin before it slowly turned into a frown. "Sadly, that war also made him do things that lost him favor with a god."
"What do you mean?" Natsu pondered.
"Before I get to that, I should explain that Achilles had a friend, someone that he trained personally in combat and wanted to make into a hero one day. That friend's name was Patroclus. You see, one day, Achilles had gotten bored during a successful battle and refused to take to the field because he had no one to challenge him. So, Patroclus donned Achilles's armor and took his weapons then led the Achaean army in another skirmish against Troy. However, leading the Trojan army at the time was Hector, the first-born son of the Trojan Royal Family and a powerful hero in his own right. Patroclus fought Hector but, despite his training, was slain by Hector. When Achilles learned of his friend's death, he challenged Hector in a one-on-one duel, even temporarily giving up his immortality. Both warriors were equal in strength and skill but eventually, Achilles killed Hector. That's when, in his rage, he did the most despicable thing you could do to a warrior."
"What?" Gray asked.
"He tied his corpse to the back of his chariot and dragged him across the ground…" I said in a solemn tone. "Hector's corpse was paraded and dragged around Troy's walls for days before it was returned to the Trojans. This insulting act ignited the anger of the sun god, Apollo."
"That's terrible…" Erza said softly.
"That ain't right! He can't do that to someone after a fight!" Natsu said with righteous anger.
"Believe me, Natsu, it wasn't right. But sometimes, humans do cruel things to one another even if the dead are involved." I stated. After taking a breath, the story continued. "Anyways, despite being repeatedly warned to restrain himself, Achilles continued slaughtering the Trojan army. So, the enraged Apollo took it upon himself to aid the Trojan army's bow expert and the younger brother to Hector, Paris. By guiding the Trojan prince, Paris managed to fire an arrow that struck Achilles in the one spot that no one thought they could hit: his heel. With his immortality shattered, Achilles was riddled with arrow after arrow, even as his heart was pierced by several. Yet, that did not deter him from fighting to his last breath. And though he lived a short life, his deeds and feats as a hero were carved into the world, marking him as one of the greatest heroes in all of Greece."
"Wow…" Gray got out.
"I still say he was a jerk!" Natsu huffed, crossing his arms.
"Natsu, the reason I told you his tale is because even though Achilles did a cruel deed, he still became a hero. Nobody has a happy ending or a happy story. Bad things happen even to the greatest of warriors. Achilles just happened to be such a warrior. You don't have to like him…but you do have to respect him." I told the pink-haired teen.
"Hmph!"
Yep, typical Natsu. Always hard-headed.
"Do any of these heroes have happy endings?" Erza asked me.
A sad smile appeared on my face, "To be honest…no, they do not."
"Kinda sucks really. Makes ya wonder if being a hero is worth it." Gray remarked, folding his arms behind his head as he laid on the floor.
"Well, I think you guys are well on your way to becoming heroes of great renown." I teasingly remarked.
"Oh? How so?" Erza inquired.
"Well, I heard rumors that you three defeated a demon made by the Dark Wizard, Zeref. You guys also fight monsters and other wizards during your adventures while also earning recognition as well as titles such as Natsu being Salamander and Erza being Titania." I answered. "Frankly, you guys might even be high-tier Heroic Spirits when you pass on."
"Oh yeah? Really?!" Natsu asked excitedly, with stars in his eyes.
I smiled. "Absolutely…"
…
…
…
"NOT!"
"WHY DID YOU HAVE TO SHATTER MY IMAGINATION LIKE THAT!?" Natsu cried out.
"You guys are strong but you're a lo~ng way from being high-tier heroes. At best, you'd be mid-tier." I told him, waving my hand dismissively. "I mean, Achilles alone is one of the most powerful heroes to exist. Hardly anyone or anything can beat him. You'd probably last only a minute. Two if he decided to play around with ya."
"YOU BASTARD!" Natsu shouted with sharp and soulless eyes, and flames coming out from between his teeth.
A smug grin formed, "Don't be mad. You'd probably stand a chance…in about another hundred years or so." I teased the Dragon Slayer.
"THAT'S NOT SOON ENOUGH!"
"Maybe for you, but who knows, I might become the strongest wizard in all of Fairy Tail." For some reason, I like teasing and messing with Natsu. It reminds me of those funny moments from Demon Slayer. Ah, Inosuke, you mad boar-faced lunatic, how I miss your humor.
"Settle down now." Erza interjected, clearly not wanting a fight to start, especially since she might physically harm me.
"I'm kidding, I'm kidding." I raise my hands up defensively. With story time over, I stood up from my seat and headed for the door, "Well, I'll be taking a stroll around the village. You guys can sleep when you want."
"When will you be back?" Erza asked me.
"Later on, I promise. I might find Lucy along the way too." I replied, bidding the trio a goodnight before shuffling off outside to explore the town a bit.
If I remember correctly, Lucy and Loke are probably at a restaurant somewhere talking. How long ago was that? Shoot, I can't remember. Still, it's amazing to see a town like this. Kinda reminds me of Fuyuki from Fate/stay night…except without the foreboding sense of danger that came with the Masters and Servants of the Holy Grail Wars.
My thoughts drifted to home. Could my family be wondering what happened to me? Did…anyone from back home know what happened to me?
I shook my head. No point in worrying about that now. My current situation was a boon really. I mean, who can say that they-
"Oh, Chris…"
I jumped in surprise, my heart momentarily stopping before it began to beat once more. Turning around, I was met with Lucy, following behind her were Happy and Plue (who also wore a kimono, strangely enough) while Ratha was held in the Celestial Wizard's arms. "Oh my- Lucy, don't do that! You nearly gave me a heart attack." I chastised the girl.
"S-Sorry," She apologized, looking down. Ratha looked up at Lucy and crooned softly, almost worried.
"Did…something happen?" I asked, mentally kicking myself for forgetting about Lucy's encounter with Loke.
"I…" Lucy frowned. "No, not really."
"Loke?" I inquired, causing her to look at me in surprise.
"How did you-"
"It was easy to figure out. Anyways, did something happen between you two?" I pondered.
"Well…it happened like this…" Lucy trailed on before beginning the tale since she left the destructive pillow fight. Apparently, two random guys were harassing her and used Ring Magic to try and…have fun with her (Note to self: hunt those assholes down and break their fingers). Luckily, Loke arrived in the nick of time to save her. As thanks, Lucy treated him to bite to eat, despite the added company of a cat, a wyvern, and a…I'm still confused on whether Plue is a dog or not. But anyways, they talked, Loke seemed distraught, Lucy wanted to help then is suddenly hugged by him before he reveals that he had been playing a trick on her, which made her angry.
"So, that's what happened." I said, thoughtfully.
"I can't believe I thought he was a good guy." Lucy sounded pissed. "Well, I don't want anything to do with him. Ever."
Much as I sympathize with her, I know the true reason that Loke acted that way. "Lucy," I said softly, drawing her gaze to mine. "You don't really mean that."
"Huh?"
"Listen, I know I'm pretty new to the guild and all but I can tell when people have secrets and a past that they're not willing to share." I stated. "Such as you being the heiress of the Heartfilia family as well as its fortunes."
"But that's-" Lucy tried to argue but she stopped. I could see in her eyes that realized that I was right.
"Look, I'm not saying you should forgive Loke for playing you like that. All I'm saying is that everyone has a history they don't want revealed. It takes time." Even though I'm a hypocrite for saying this when I'm hiding my own past. "Look at things from your own perspective and understand why Loke decided to act like that." I shrugged, "Who knows, you might find out something that could surprise you."
The blonde seemed to ponder my words as she hugged Ratha close to her chest, "You're sure about this?"
"If I'm wrong, I'll buy you lunch from the most expensive restaurant in Magnolia." I offered.
"That sounds like it would benefit you." Lucy said with a dry expression.
I shrugged, "Take it as a friend offering another friend a gift."
Lucy stared at me for what seemed like a solid minute then she nodded, "Alright, I'll give Loke another chance."
A smile formed on my face, "That's all I ask. Now, let's head back to the inn. I'm getting sleepy."
Lucy nodded, looking down at Ratha who struggled to stay awake. Looking behind, I noticed Happy rubbing his eyes with his paws, also feeling the need to sleep. Plue was nowhere in sight, meaning he must've returned to the Celestial Spirit world.
I think I managed to help her for just a bit. So maybe when Lucy sees Loke again, or rather Leo the Lion, she'll have a new perspective on why people prefer to use masks to hide their emotions.
…so what does that say about me?
After all, I'm still wearing my mask.
A/N: And that's the end of the chapter! Next, we'll officially get into the Tower of Heaven arc.
I know this chapter is short and all but I figured you guys wanted to get straight to the action. Believe me, I struggled trying to get the ending for this just right.
Oh, and I've been trying to do my comedy segments just right. So if the MC is shouting, picture Demon Slayer segments where the characters yell angrily at each other. Like Zenitsu or Inosuke.
But anyways, you folks seem to like the addition of Ratha in the story and I'm quite pleased. I figured a Rathalos would be a bit much but this is the world of Fairy Tail. If they have dragons then they must have wyverns.
Been seeing a lot of OCs from you guys even though this is a new story. Gotta say, I'm surprised and a bit proud.
Anyways, review and comment on this chapter. Love it, hate it, but just know that you've read it.
Peace out, everyone!
