What's up, everyone! This is GKC here bringing you the next chapter of "Spirits of Fairies".
So, some smart-ass said I nerfed Achilles because his invulnerability could only be broken by a high enough Divinity. Let me point this out. That is not entirely true. If you remember from Fate/Apocrypha, there was a point in the show/manga where Lancer of Black (aka Vlad III) was forced to become a vampire by his Master. Achilles tried to fight Dracula but Archer of Black (Chiron) immediately stopped him to prevent him from being bitten. What does that tell you? He is invulnerable to mortal means but nothing says he's invulnerable to Phantasmal creatures such as vampires. Granted, from what I read about that ability, it relates more to turning him into a comrade rather than serving as an enemy attack since it apparently only activates if he is threatened. Fairy Tail is filled to the brim with magical creatures so it stands to reason that they would count as Phantasmal Beasts like Elfman's Full-Body Take-Over. Plus, there is another reason why Achilles's invulnerability seemed nerfed, which you readers will learn later on in the story. So, save your biased bull for later, please.

Chapter 4: Tower of Heaven Part 1: A Beach, Casino, and…a Fight!?
The next day came faster than I realized. After leaving the town, we returned to Magnolia. Though, Lucy was still in a foul mood. It wasn't as bad as before but she was definitely still pissed off.
Evident by the fact that Natsu and Gray got into an argument then when they got Lucy involved, she tapped into her inner Erza and scared them speechless.
When night came around, Loke suddenly quit the guild and broke off all his relationships with his many girlfriends. Everyone in Fairy Tail went out looking for him. Me, on the other hand, went to sleep.
I know, kind of a dick move but, I didn't need to worry about Loke because Lucy would solve that problem soon. She'd save a life, gain a new Celestial Spirit, and spark a true friendship with him.
Though, apparently, Lucy decided to mention to Lo- sorry, Leo, that it was due to my advice that helped her reach him.
Which is where we find ourselves now. At the bar after Leo explained his reasons to the guild, he came to me and sat down. Ratha was eating a bowl of freshly caught carp and trout which Happy tried to steal only to run away from a burst of flame courtesy of an angry wyvern.
"Lucy told me that I have you to thank." Leo said with a grin. His whole appearance had changed after he left. Dressed in that suave-looking black three-piece dress suit while his hair had grown longer and wild like a lion's mane. He still wore his sunglasses even though he didn't really need them.
I shrugged, nursing a cup of juice. "I was helping a friend. I figured there was a reason you acted like that with her so I gave her a different perspective." I replied.
"Well, indirectly, you helped save my life and gave me a new purpose. So, you have my gratitude all the same." Leo said with a chuckle. Then his grin turned sly. "So, how long?"
"Huh?" I stared at the leader of the Zodiac Spirits while drinking my beverage. "How long, what?"
"How long have you had a crush on Lucy?"
*PFFFFFFFT*
The spit take I released along with the myriad of coughing fits nearly had me on the floor wheezing.
"W-What the hell are you talking about!?" I exclaimed while the heat from my cheeks burned hotter than usual. "I'm just starting to get to know her!"
"That's not what I asked." Leo smiled slyly.
Ooooooh, I'm gonna kill this lion!
"T-That ain't none of your business, man!" I vehemently denied it. "Lucy and I are just friends!"
Yep, totally just friends! I am just friends with a hot, sexy blonde- Gah! My thought process made it worse!
"Yeah, sure, that's what they all say." Leo rolled his eyes in amusement.
"I will wring your neck like a towel…" I growled.
"Well, you're welcome to try. I can't die from physical means." Leo teased.
"Don't tempt me." I said. "You said you can't die physically, right? Which means, I can theoretically torture you for an eternity right~?"
"Yeah, sounds about- oh crap…"
*TWIIIIIIIIIST~!*
"Ow, ow, ow, OW!" Leo yelped in pain as I twisted his ear like my mom would whenever I did something bad.
"You gonna stop teasing me?" I asked calmly then applied pressure to his ear.
"Owowowowowowow~!"
"What's that? I can't hear you, because it sounds to me that you're in pain!" I cackled as I twisted his ear beyond what was necessary.
Call me twisted or petty, hell, even sadistic, but I hate being teased. Growing up, I was teased a lot in school. Ha! Shows what those jerks know, I'm living the good life!
"Chris, what are you doing!?"
Oh shit.
Yep, there's Lucy and the gang, staring at me incredulously…while I'm holding the ear of her newest Celestial Spirit.
"Uh…it's not what it looks like?" I offered with a weak and nervous chuckle.
"Not what it looks like?" Lucy huffed. "You're twisting Loke's ear!"
"Cause he's making fun of me," I said, like a child with his hand caught in the cookie jar.
"I don't care. Let go now!" The blonde shouted, a dark aura surrounding her.
"Yes, ma'am!" I squeaked, releasing my hold on Loke's ear, who immediately held onto it.
"Ow…" Loke whimpered, nursing his ear that was twisted by my handiwork.
"You okay?" Lucy asked, rushing over to Loke.
"Yeah, I'm fine." Loke said, before looking at me. He gave the most irritating face as he smiled like a troll. OOOOOOOOOOH, you're messing with forces beyond your ken!
I swear to every single deity in existence, I will have my revenge!
"So, did you give it to him yet?" Natsu suddenly asked.
"Not yet." Loke said after the pain dwindled.
"What are you guys talking about?" I asked, looking between the two.
Erza held up a ticket, a grin plastered on her stern yet lovely face. "A ticket to Akane Resort."
…
Oh hell yeah, it's Casino Royale time.
"When do we leave?" I asked.
Ah, the beach.
The warm, golden sand…
…the crisp yet fluent waves…
…the gentle breeze…
…and the dozens of hot women in bikinis!
Jackpot!
I regret ever having tortured Loke now!
When we arrived at the resort, I gotta be honest, I was absolutely amazed. It was like Disneyland had a massive tropical makeover. They had everything from amusement parks, casinos, beaches, and even high-quality restaurants.
A perfect vacation for anyone.
Though I was delegated to watching over our stuff on the sand. I wasn't complaining though, I kinda burn easily in the sun. Which is why I was content with lounging back in a beach chair while a large umbrella provided me with shade.
On the way, I bought light blue swim trunks and a regular white t-shirt as my swimming attire. Not because I wanted to show off or anything but…mainly, because I was a little self-conscious about my upper body being shown. I wasn't really the most muscular person of the group, I still had decent musculature but it was more on the lean side. Still, I didn't really mind.
"Rwar." I heard my little snuggle buddy growl softly from beside me. Even though Ratha wasn't actually supposed to come, he had grown attached to me, Lucy, and even the other members of our team. It wouldn't feel right to leave him back in Magnolia alone.
"Enjoying the sun, Ratha?" I asked the Rathalos, who stretched his small wings (which didn't really look like wings) and laid his head down on my stomach. A soft snore was all I got as an answer. "I'll take that as a yes."
"Oh, Chris, there you are." I heard Erza approaching. Though when I turned my head to look at her, my face immediately burned when not only was Erza approaching but Lucy as well…dressed in swimsuits that greatly showed off their impressive figures. Erza wore a revealing two piece, black bikini while Lucy wore a white, two piece bikini with pink stars emblazoned on her bikini top. Even then, they looked absolutely beautiful.
'Sweet merciful Lord…' My gobsmacked thoughts rambled. "Uh…what's up? Had enough of Natsu and Gray?" I chuckled while trying to stem my blush.
"The boys are busy surfing. Lucy and I were going to join them but we didn't want to get sunburns." Erza said.
"Uh, okay? Why didn't you apply sun lotion?" I asked, brow raised.
"Uh…that's the thing." Lucy said sheepishly, while looking away with a blush. "Can you…put some on us?"
*CRASH!*
Wait, how the hell do I hear glass breaking?! Either my mind shattered from what Lucy said, or Stone Cold Steve Austin is coming out of nowhere to give me a Stunner!
…
…
Nope, it's my mind. It totally broke.
"U-Uh, are you sure?" I stammered. "I-I mean, wouldn't it be better if you two did it yourselves?"
"We would but you're not really doing anything so you could be of use." Erza stated.
"That…makes no sense." I said dryly.
"Do it." The redhead said firmly.
Just like that, I obeyed. I was not risking my beautiful face from suffering Erza's wrath.
So I grabbed the sun tan lotion and got a decent amount on my hands. I then looked to Lucy and Erza…who already laid on the towel prone and their bikini bras were unclasped. I swallowed hard. There was…so much temptation…just waiting for me to grab those soft mounds- no wait! Stop! Bad thoughts! Must not think bad thoughts! But…they're right there! Dammit why?!
"What's wrong? Nervous?" Erza asked me with a hint of…amusement? Is she teasing me!?
"I uh…" I gulped loudly. "I…don't want to uh…get grabby."
"Don't worry. We trust you not to pull such a thing. And even if you did," Erza gave me a smile…that only served to chill my blood. "You wouldn't live long enough to enjoy it."
I think I just developed a fear of Erza…
"Come on, Erza, lighten up. I'm sure Chris won't do anything perverted." Lucy assured the redhead before she looked back at me, a blush still evident on her face despite the trust in her eyes. "Just…go slow, okay?"
"S-Sure." I nodded then, with a bit of hesitance, began to massage the sun lotion onto the girls' bare backs.
'Dammit, this is harder than I thought it would!' I cried out in my thoughts. 'Just focus…focus on their back, and not their boobs and asses.'
Erza and Lucy hummed, but it kinda sounded like a…barely restrained moan.
'Dammit, I swear they're doing this on purpose!'
"Mmmmmm…slow down, Chris…" Erza moaned.
SHIT!
"You've…got magic fingers…" Lucy groaned, her blush growing brighter.
'This is too much! Too much!' I inwardly panicked.
I can't take this anymore!
"Okay, girls! I think that's enough for today!" I said fast, trying to laugh it off.
"Huh? Already? But it was just getting better…" Erza pouted.
"Sorry, I can't handle any more temptation than I should!" I shook my head furiously.
"Temptation?" The girls looked at me in confusion.
I quickly moved over to the beach chair, checked on Ratha to make sure he was okay, then marched off. "Well, gotta go! Gonna hit the waves! BYE!"
Truthfully, I instead made my way over to the beach shack to get some shaved ice. Hopefully, I'll get a brain freeze so I can cool down from all that. Ugh…what the hell was I thinking back there? Let alone doing?
"What can I get for you, sir?" The employee in charge of the shack, a pretty young girl in a pink uniform with brown hair that was styled…kinda familiar. Like…cat ears?
"Shaved ice, please. Or ice cream. Just anything cold will do." I placed my order.
"Sure, any flavor in particular?"
"Cherry, please." I said, leaning against the counter before squinting my eyes at her. "Sorry, but…have we met?" For some reason, I should know this girl but…I can't recall who she is.
"Hm? Nope. I don't think so. Why do you ask?"
"Oh…nothing. Just…never seen a cat girl like you before."
"Eh? Cat girl?" She repeated in confusion.
I nodded, "Yeah, your hair reminds me of a cat. It's cute." I admitted.
"Me? Cute? Oh, I don't know about that~!" The girl blushed.
"I never lie to a pretty girl." I said with a smile. "You're cute. I have spoken."
"Oh, you're so sweet~!" The cat girl gushed. "A friend of mine could learn to be nice to a lady from you."
"Heh, admittedly, I'm…nervous around girls." A sheepish chuckle left my lips as I rubbed my cheek anxiously. "I just act like a stuttering idiot with them."
"But you seem so nice. And you're not very bad to look at either." She gave me a wink, which colored my cheeks.
"Uhh…" I…I have no words. I literally have no words.
"Millie," A calm, feminine voice spoke, drawing my attention behind me to see…a gorgeous woman with flowing midnight blue hair that reached her waist. Her hair is pinned back on the side with a wing shaped hair pin. Her pale skin is contrasted by piercing emerald green eyes. dressed in a black business suit with black gloves that hid her womanly figure.
"Uh…" I blinked, then looked at the cat girl now named Millie.
Wait, Millie…that Millie? As in…ohhhhhh shit…
"Oh, Charlotte! Did you just get back?" Millie beamed with a smile.
The newcomer, Charlotte, nodded, "Yes, I had finished my task." Then her emerald eyes looked onto my brown ones. "Who is this?"
"Oh, this is…" Millie trailed, getting into a thinking pose. "Huh, I never asked. I think I'll call him 'Cute Nerd Boy'!"
…nerd boy…?
"Hey, just because I wear glasses, doesn't make me a nerd!?" I exclaimed in comical anger.
"Oopsie my bad~" She stuck out her tongue cutely. You're lucky you're cute…
"Er-hem!" I cleared my throat. "Name's Chris."
"Charlotte." The blue-haired woman nodded with a stoic expression that reminded me of Byleth from Fire Emblem.
"So, uh…are you two friends?" I said, feeling a bit cautious. If 'Millie' was Millianna then that meant the other members of Jellal's group were here. Guess that explains how they managed to sneak into Akane Resort. But this woman…I've never seen her before in the source material. Just who is she?
"In a way, yes," Charlotte replied.
"Oh, come on! Don't be so modest! You're like my bestest friend ever~!" Millianna chimed.
"Please tone it down, Millie." Charlotte stated.
This is awkward but I also feel anxious to get away, mostly because these two were dangerous at the moment. "Um, I don't mean to interrupt but…hot sun? Cold treat? Please?"
"Oh, right!" Millianna gasped before she disappeared for a second before coming back holding a cone of shaved ice with a red syrup on top. "Here ya go~!" She handed me the cone, which I took. My fingers briefly passed hers as I seized it.
"Thanks." I said before waving. "Maybe I'll see you lovely ladies again. Ciao." Without even looking back, I walked back to the area where my friends most likely were at, eating my snack along the way.
On the way back, I could vaguely hear the arguing of two certain mages.
"GIMME BACK MY BATHING SUIT, NATSU!" Gray yelled.
"NO WAY, MAN!" Natsu laughed.
When I returned, I found Natsu holding up Gray's swim trunks while the ice mage used Happy to conceal his private parts, much to the cat's despair.
"I don't think Happy likes being treated as a cover-up." Lucy mentioned.
"Oh my darling, Gray," I jumped, hearing a voice beside me. The speaker is a young lady with alabaster skin and short blue hair that was curled at the base peeking out from behind a palm tree. Her clothing consisted of a dark blue bikini with purple circles emblazoned on it. Her outfit certainly showed off her voluptuous body. Hearts filled her eyes as she ogled Gray's almost naked form. "What a hunk."
Well, I found Juvia. Might as well have a bit of fun.
"Excuse me, madam." I said, causing the water mage to squeak in fright as she looked at me after jumping. "I don't mean to interrupt but are you stalking my icy friend there?"
"N-No, I'm not stalking my prince!" She stuttered, her cheeks aflamed before she looked away in embarrassment and gave me a perfect view of her impressive cleavage. Damn, Gray's a lucky bastard…if the idiot could actually see how lucky he is.
"Hm, if you want, I could put in a good word for ya." I offered.
"Really? You can?" Juvia's eyes literally sparkled.
"Yeah. Just give me a few and I'll talk with him."
Suddenly, I was wrapped up in a hug and had… Well, I had Juvia pressing against me. Wow, they're really perky and soft…
"Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!" Juvia squealed with joy.
"Okay, okay! I get it! Please let go now." I said, my cheeks blazing red right now. Dammit! It's hard to think with these awesome peaks on me!
"Eh? Chris? What are you doing over there?" I heard Natsu call out to me.
"Oh, crap!" I panicked, looking left and right before grabbing Juvia by the shoulders and placing her behind a palm tree. "Sorry, I'll tell him later. Promise!" I then darted off and away, while making sure my cherry flavored shaved ice didn't fall off. "Gotta get back to the hotel room!"
"Hold on, Chris! You were talking to someone and I wanna know-" I felt someone grab my arm even as they spoke to me.
Unfortunately, I don't react well when people touch me from behind. I swung my hand back to ward them off, "Hands off!" I shouted, brushing the person off me and- Is that…a bikini bra?
A…black bikini…bra?
Oh… Oh no…nonononononononono!
"You…"
*Gulp*
Slowly, I looked at who the person that touched me from behind…and I think my soul left my body. It was Erza… I. Am so. Fucked.
Her breasts were on full display even with an arm blocking the peaks. Her cheeks were ablaze while her eyes…gave me the darkest glare that I have ever seen in my soon-to-be end of existence.
"Uh…" My mouth went dry. I tried and failed to look away. "I'm…sorry?" I said, sheepishly.
Natsu and Gray were looking at Erza in gobsmacked awe while their cheeks were flushed pink. Lucy had covered Ratha's eyes while having a comical expression of disbelief. Happy…well, he's just raising up a paw.
*C-R-R-RACK!*
Yup. I knew that sooner or later, I wasn't long for this world. It's official. Isekai fucking sucks…
Well, if I'm gonna die, I'll go out with a bang.
"Nice pair." I simply said.
"You…" Erza growled. "PERVERRRRRRRRRT!"
Ah, here comes the fist. Oh, I think my life flashed before my eyes…
*POW!*
"Damn…that really hurt." I groaned, holding my aching and swollen cheek. "I think she cracked my jaw."
After that little…fiasco, I awoke back in my hotel room. Guess one of the others dragged my butt back inside then left afterwards. Not that I can blame them considering I just had a full-face view of Erza's bountiful boobs.
Night settled in while I was unconscious and that must mean that the others must be at the casino. I'm pretty sure the attack is about to happen but it's been nearly a week since we've been here. Maybe they won't?
Ah, who am I kidding. I ain't that lucky.
"Well, if nothing else, I could try to strike it rich at the casino." I said to myself, strolling over to a suitcase and pulling out a nice three-piece suit that was dark gray in color with a black fedora and black dress shoes. These clothes cost me a good amount of Jewel but it's worth it. "I mean, what's the worst that can happen?"
*BOOOOOOOOOM!*
Fucking hell…
"Welp…so much for wearing this damn thing…" I sighed, before dropping the suit and running out the door-
"Found you."
What the-?
Something struck me in the hip with enough force to send me crashing through a wall and in a separate hotel room while its occupants screamed in fright.
A cough forced its way out of my throat. When my vision focused…I saw blood on the floor. My blood.
When I tried to move, a searing pain erupted throughout my body.
Fuck, it's hard to breath. I think that hit…cracked some of my ribs.
"What the- *cough! cough!* Ahhh, fuck, what just-"
"I could sense the energy from you. It's similar to mine. Yet, I find myself…unamused." A voice spoke that sounded masculine but had a kind of modulated tone to it. I looked towards the source of the voice and my eyes widened considerably. No fucking way…that's impossible.
Approaching me with an aura of bloodlust is a man clad in a jet black outfit with gray plating on his torso, thighs, shins, and boots. He also had hollow spiked pauldrons, metal gauntlets, and a jet black mask that gave off the impression of a beast. All that was revealed were his icy blue eyes, his pale skin, and his spiky two-toned hair that was black at the front but snow white at the back. Tightened in his right hand was a sword that looked like a thin hunk of steel fashioned to a thin black hilt. Strangely enough, the blade and even the dagger-like pommel glowed crimson red.
I knew this man. I knew him because he is a Heroic Spirit.
And not just any Heroic Spirit…
…he's the King of Warriors…
…Sigurd!
My assailant directed his sword at me. "Come now. If you're anything like me, you shouldn't be this pathetic." Sigurd said in a cold manner, which chilled my blood.
"Bastard…" I snarled. "Why are you doing this?!"
"Why, you ask? Hmmm…indeed, why?" Sigurd smirked. "Well, not that it's any of your business-"
"You attacked me out of nowhere, you prick…!" I snarled.
The Saber-class Servant paused then stared at me. "True, I did. But, my employer doesn't want anyone from Fairy Tail to interfere."
My eyes widened, "Your…employer?" Could he mean Jellal? Impossible, how could that nutcase summon a Servant!?
"That is information you have no need to know. All you need to know is…" Sigurd brought back his sword, Gram. His ice blue eyes gleamed with killer intent. "...that you must die."
"Fat chance of that happening…" I growled, before rolling up my sleeve to reveal my gauntlet and managed to somehow pick a card from it. Whatever it was, I hope it's a good one.
INSTALL: LANCER
Score!
"Verto!" I roared just as the crimson light surrounded me once more.
(3rd POV)
Sigurd stepped back in surprise while shielding his eyes as the light grew brighter. "This energy…" He frowned.
Suddenly, his instincts warned him of danger, forcing him to immediately move his head to the left, narrowly avoiding a blood red barbed spear from impaling his skull.
The Saber quickly hopped back to gain distance and glared at his attacker. "Who are you?" He demanded calmly.
"I mean ain't it obvious?" A cocky voice asked. Appearing from the light is a blue-haired, red-eyed man whose primary outfit is a deep ultramarine full body tights covered in Runic protections, gray metallic pauldrons, and a metal plate over his lowest abdominal section. He wears his hair in a rattail that reaches his mid-back. He also wears a pair of silver earrings. Casually held in his hand is a crimson barbed spear that radiated an aura that demanded blood. "I'm a Servant like you. Lancer's the name."
"Tch…so you're the same as me…with that gauntlet." Sigurd spat.
Lancer frowned. Gauntlet? His eyes widened briefly in realization.
'Holy shit! I'm not the only one with this power?!'
"It doesn't matter. Change into whatever form, you'll die all the same." Sigurd prepared to attack.
"Hold on just a minute!" Lancer said. "You mean to say there's other people that can turn into Servants?!"
"Servants?" Sigurd looked at Lancer in confusion. Then he frowned. "I have no idea what you speak of. You're the only one I've met so far with a similar power to mine."
"Well, you just gave that answer away anyways, Saber. Or should I say…Charlotte?"
…
…
Sigurd scoffed, "What gave me away?"
"Frankly, I had a suspicion when I saw you with Millianna. There's only a few people among her that she considers friends. You're originally not one of them." Lancer said. "Which brings me to my next question. Are you from the real world?"
"The real world?" Sigurd repeated. "Unless you mean to say that you're a Fixer and you come from Runia then we have nothing in common."
Lancer raised a brow in confusion. "Fixer? Runia?"
"That's all I needed to hear." Sigurd said before suddenly vanishing into thin air. Lancer's eyes widened as the veins near his cheeks bulged then he brought up his spear to parry away an overhead blow that threatened to split open his skull.
"Oh c'mon, you can do better than that!" Lancer said as he knocked the sword away and lunged for a fatal stab.
Sigurd sidestepped from the lunge then stomped his foot down on the speartip, locking it in place before using the flat of his blade to smack Lancer in the chest, sending him flying through the balcony and in the open air.
"Damn!" Lancer grunted before he quickly alighted himself in mid-air and managed to land on the side of the hotel, his boots sending sparks for a few seconds before he stopped. His hand went to his side after feeling a flare of pain. "Grk! My ribs…the injury…actually transferred through the transformation?"
"Hmph. You're even more foolish than I thought you would be." Sigurd scoffed. "You and whatever Servant you chose are not one in the same. You may appear as your Servant on the outside, but inside, you're still the same person. Your Servant is just a mere shell to hide your true self."
"Shut up! You don't know anything about me!" Lancer snarled, summoning his spear before kicking off the wall to pursue his quarry. "I'll stop you here and now!"
"Foolish." Sigurd brought up his blade and swung, forcing Lancer to block with the shaft of his spear as sparks flew from the impact. Both warriors glared heartedly at one another.
"Damn you!" The blue-haired spear wielder growled, trying to push his foe back.
The King of Warriors scoffed before his fist came up, clocking the Lancer in the jaw and sending him flying. Sigurd followed after his target and rapidly swung his blade in a flurry of glowing red steel. The Fairy Tail warrior had no choice but to use his spear in order to defend himself but a few blows managed to get through his guard, cutting his suit and drawing blood from scratches he received.
"Weak. I do not feel any killing intent from you." Sigurd told his opponent. "Your spear…might as well be a toothpick to me." With one more powerful swing, the Nordic warrior slashed Gram down upon Lancer's only means of defense-
*C-R-R-RACK*
-cracks formed on the shaft before finally-
*SHIING*
-the crimson spear shattered into pieces and the glowing red blade came down.
*SQUELCH*
Blood erupted and splattered against the wall.
Lucy grunted in discomfort as the strange bindings squeezed her body a bit tighter.
The night was going so well. She had gotten dressed up in one of her best dresses and even brought Ratha along. Erza joined her at a card table while Natsu, Gray, and Happy wandered around the casino doing their own thing.
Chris hadn't woken up yet from Erza punching him but Lucy figured he'd come down once he awoke.
That's when everything went wrong.
First, there was an explosion that she had mistaken for a parade.
Next, there was a change in dealer and he seemed to know Erza. To the point where the redhead actually began to quiver.
After that, the lights went out. Then a gunshot echoed throughout the pitch black room. When the lights came back on, there was no one else in sight except for her, Erza, and Ratha.
That's when the strange dealer, Sho, if she remembered Erza saying, revealed that he had turned everyone in the casino into cards using magic. Strangely enough, he called Erza 'sister'.
Then Lucy and Ratha were suddenly wrapped up in the strange orange, furry ropes that kept them from moving.
The one that binder them was a young woman that looked like a cat named Millianna, someone else that Erza apparently knew.
After that, there was a weird blockhead of a man dressed in a fancy suit named Wally (which shocked Lucy) and a tall, muscular man with a metal lower jaw named Simon. Both of them knew Erza.
Lucy yelped as Millianna pushed her to the floor with her arms stretched out behind her head, and the ropes appeared to be slowly pulling her arms and her feet together. Ratha roared in protest at seeing his adoptive mother being hurt only for Wally to step on his head to quiet his cries.
"Annoying little gecko, ain't it? So not dandy." Wally remarked, grinding his shoe on the wyvern's head.
"Leave him alone! He's just a baby!" Lucy demanded, glaring at the blockhead of a man with intense hatred.
"Wally, that's enough." Simon told his companion, leveling a firm glare at Wally.
Wally scoffed before removing his foot, "Fine."
"Seriously!" Lucy cried. "Who are these people?! And why did he call you 'sister'?!"
Erza was silent for a moment. She then glanced at Sho, Millianna, Wally and Simon and lightly sighed. "He's not actually my brother, but we all grew up together."
"What do you mean?" Lucy asked. "I thought you said you joined Fairy Tail when you were just a little girl."
"This was before I joined the Guild." Erza elaborated. "Why did you find me? What do you want?" She asked her old friends.
"Meow," Millianna said, "you really wanna know?"
"We're here to take you back with us." Wally answered.
"I'm begging you, please release Ratha and Lucy." Erza pleaded.
"Who cares about them?" Sho retorted nonchalantly, and grinned ominously. "We want you, sister."
"Unless you do what we say…" Wally then extends his right arm out and transforms it into a gun again, pointing it right at Lucy as the red dot appears on her forehead, causing her to whimper out in fear. Ratha roared in protest, releasing breaths of fire to try and hit the strange man that threatened his mother.
"Stop it, please!" Erza pleads as then Wally's arm gun disappears. "Don't!" Erza yells, when suddenly she is shot from behind causing her to gasp out in pain. The gun is now behind her as well as a yellow magic circle which it shoots through as Erza collapses forward.
"Erza!" Lucy cried out in horror.
Simon picked up Erza's unconscious form and held her bridal style. "We got what we came for. Let's go home." He declared.
"Are you sure she's okay?" Sho asked Wally.
Wally grinned confidently as he held up his rifle. "She's just taking a nap."
"Hey, where are you taking Erza?! Give her back! If you guys were up against Natsu or Gray or Chris, they'd take you down for this!" Lucy yelled, glaring at her friend's kidnappers.
"Sorry, lady, but those three are gonna be licking pavement for a while, yah get me?" Wally stated.
"What?" Lucy said, confused.
"Those two were nothing but talk." Simon simplified.
"And the cute nerd boy is being dealt with by our friend." Millianna with a cutesy smile. "Shame, I really liked him too."
Lucy's eyes widened from a frightening realization. "But…that's impossible!" She disputed. "You mean they're…"
"I have returned." An unfamiliar voice to the Celestial Wizard interjected. All eyes landed on the approaching swordsman, Sigurd, who glowed for a moment before vanishing to reveal Charlotte, who was adjusting her black gloves.
"And your target?" Simon inquired.
"Weak and pathetic. He hardly put up a challenge." The midnight blue-haired woman replied.
"Hmph, guess that rumored newcomer of Fairy Tail was just that," Sho remarked with a dark smirk. "Rumors."
"Do you have proof?" Simon asked.
Charlotte shrugged, "I left his body bleeding in a crater. The wound I dealt him definitely ended his life." She reached into her pocket and pulled out…
…a broken pair of glasses…
…Chris's glasses.
"It…it can't be…" Lucy mumbled in disbelief as she watched the woman casually drop the glasses without a care. "You're lying…" Tears began to form before they slid down her cheeks like rain. "CHRIS CAN'T BE DEAD!" She screamed in disbelief and horror.
Charlotte looked at the blonde girl with a cold, neutral expression. "Wake up to reality, girl. Your friend is dead. I killed him with my own hands."
Millianna then winked at Lucy and held out her hand. "Meow," A small, pink magical seal appeared in front of her hand; as a result, Ratha and Lucy's ropes tightened even more and intensified the pain.
"Meow. In about another five minutes you're gonna be all twisted up into a yummy little pretzel." Millianna commented to Lucy. She then turned her gaze to the wyvern who seemed to have a hard time breathing. "Meow. And as for your little friend here, soon those ropes are gonna keep squeezing until he's nothing but a little red belt."
"Hey Millianna," Wally walked up to her. "I scored a little something for yah."
"Meow?" The cat lady replied.
In a flash of light, an unconscious Happy appeared in Wally's block-like hands. Instantaneously, Millianna's eyes lit up in excitement. "OH…A LITTLE KITTY WITTY OF MY VERY OWN!" Pink hearts appeared in her eyes as she hugged Happy affectionately. "OH HE'S SUCH A LITTLE CUTIE WUTIE!"
"Happy!" Lucy exclaimed worriedly.
"That's enough." Simon ordered sternly. "Calm down."
"Alright doll, time to get to work." Wally said.
"Meow!" Millianna agreed while holding Happy.
Sho glanced at Erza with a tear of happiness running down his face. "Sister," He murmured, "I can't believe you're finally coming home…to the Tower of Heaven. I know Jellal will be very happy to see you."
Erza's eyes slowly fluttered open as her consciousness steadily returned. She was coherent enough to have heard what Sho said.
'The Tower of Heaven. Did they really finish it?' Erza thought dreadfully.
When the quintet stepped a few meters away from Lucy and Ratha, a blue magical circle appeared above them.
"Where are you taking her?" Lucy shouted angrily. "COME BACK!" In a flash, Erza and the four kidnappers disappeared. "ERZA! NO!" She yelled in dismay.
This couldn't be happening…
…this is just a nightmare…
…she's gonna wake up back in her bed and everything will be fine.
"Erza…she's gone." Lucy whimpered in disbelief.
Ratha roared, crying out to his human mother to help him as the ropes on his body began to tighten.
"Ratha!" Lucy cried out. That's right. She can't worry about that right now. She needed to free herself and Ratha before they were killed by these strange ropes. She frantically began to roll around the floor. "I swear we're gonna get outta these things somehow!"
One of the ropes around Ratha's neck tightened, nearly strangling the baby wyvern. His cries became frantic, fear evident in his blue eyes.
Suddenly, a brown leather pouch full of gold and silver keys fell out of Lucy's dress pocket. Lucy saw this and smiled. "Yes!" She exclaimed hopefully. "Don't worry, Ratha, I'll call one of my spirits to get us outta out of this mess." Lucy rolled onto her side so she could grasp a key with her fingers. "Open, Gate of the Giant Crab: Cancer!"
*DING DONG!*
A moment passed and, instead of a Celestial Spirit appearing in a flash of light, nothing happened. Lucy blanked and began to sweat nervously. "Uh…okay…Cancer?!"
She reached for another key, "Okay, let's try a different one. Open, Gate of the Golden Bull: Taurus!"
However, just like the first attempt to summon a spirit, nothing happened; much to Lucy's shock and confusion. "Huh? Oh no! Why can't I call my spirits?" A terrifying realization hit her when she looked down at her bindings. "The ropes…they're canceling my magic!"
The situation wasn't good. If this kept on, Lucy and Ratha would…
"RAAAAAWR! RAAAAAAAAWR!" Ratha shrieked before he desperately tried to breathe fire on Lucy's ropes, but sputters of embers were all that came out.
"Ratha…" Lucy watched as her adopted wyvern son tried everything to save her then a realization came to her. "Ratha, your teeth! Use your teeth to bite through my ropes!"
The young Rathalos crooned as he wormed his way over to his adoptive mother and began chewing on the ropes that bound Lucy.
Lucy struggled and could slowly feel the bindings coming loose. "Almost there, Ratha. Just a bit more."
Meanwhile, outside of the resort building, the full moon shines its light upon a crater splattered in red.
The red liquid, revealed to be blood, pooled away from the body of a young man who laid face down in the ground, unmoving. By the young man's side is a lone card with a picture of Lancer.
Footsteps echoed in the chilling night before they stopped at the edge of the crater.
Staring down upon the body is a black cloaked figure. "This is not your grave. Not yet." They spoke in a disembodied voice that revealed no form of gender.
Pale fingers twitched as a silver gauntlet worn on the young man's left arm began to glow crimson.
"Even the heroes that follow you are not ready for your death." The cloaked figure remarked. "It would seem I'll have to help you…just for a bit."
The cloaked figure approached the body then brought up a card…
…a card that radiates an aura of darkness.
A/N: And that's the end of the chapter, folks!
What a way to start off the Tower of Heaven arc, am I right? Even though our hero knows what is about to happen, he was unable to prevent it. Not only that, he suffered a serious defeat at the hands of someone wielding the same power as him.
And because this is half Fate, when Chris became Lancer, he also gained that particular Lancer's Luck.
But the first OC has been introduced and it is VGBlackwing's OC, Charlotte. This little skirmish between the two will be necessary for what I have planned when Round 2 comes around.
Also, a Guest reviewer named Godofwar01 asked me a particular question. "So great story and I got a question so like when he uses a card he can use any hero associated with that card like with saber he could be King Arthur or Siegfried or no just one hero per card"
Answer: Once a Heroic Spirit is chosen, you only get that card. That's it. No do-overs or anything. I need to add limitations. Otherwise, it's too OP and it won't really be as exciting.
Anyways, review and comment on this chapter. Love it, hate it, but just know that you've read it.
Peace out, everyone!
