Natsu had been pretty excited about starting a new school all the way up to the point he crashed into Gray's naked chest five minutes upon entering the school. He groaned, rubbed his forehead, blinked, and immediately scowled when he realised what he was staring at.
Gray scowled right back at him.
"What are you doing here?!" Natsu demanded. "I supposed to have lost you in Middle School!"
"You moron," Gray said disgustedly, "we took the entrance exam at the same time. Surely you knew that meant we were going to the same High School."
"Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!" Natsu cried out melodramatically. "I was supposed to have four blissful years without a creepy icicle of a pervert sitting in my class and breathing the same air as me."
"Oi!" Gray snapped, incredibly insulted. "It's not all roses for me having to go to a school with a loud-mouthed, hot-headed, ashes for brains, moron like you."
"WANNA SAY THAT TO MY FACE?!"
"I just did," Gray sneered, "idiot."
At this Natsu lost his temper completely and happily sank his fist into Gray's stomach. Gray groaned in agony and doubled over slightly but before Natsu could celebrate his victory, Gray shot up and punched him in the jaw. Natsu snarled in pain before he dived in for another punch which Gray fended off and swiped in for a kick. Natsu stumbled forwards, snarled furiously, and then he lunged forwards ready to strangle Gray.
The pair ended up on the floor rolling back and forth as they tried to throttle one another.
This was the sight Lisanna was greeted to when she first stepped into her new school. "Natsu! Gray!" Lisanna cried out horrified. It was enough to make the two boys pause temporarily to glance at her. "It's our first day at a new school," Lisanna chided furiously. "Don't make a bad impression fighting! You'll get into tro…oh no!" she groaned as several authoritative looking students suddenly stormed down the corridor towards them.
They all looked severe and stern, with their mouths in tight little lines of disapproval. The leader stood in the centre, his black hair neatly groomed, his uniform immaculate, and his glasses flashing menacingly. "What is going on here?" he hissed furiously. "What do you two think you're doing tarnishing our school reputation with fighting like wild animals?"
Natsu and Gray both blinked up at him.
"Who the heck are you?" Natsu asked rudely.
"And why," Gray said disgustedly, "the fuck do you think you can poke your nose into our business?"
The boy's glasses flashed disapprovingly. "I am Lahar," he said haughtily, "and I am the School Student Council President which makes it my business to ensure all students follow the rules." His eyes flickered over Natsu and Gray which caused the pair of them to bristle angrily as they felt very much judged. "I see at least four violations to the school code. I will have to report you."
"What violations?!" Natsu and Gray barked as they leaped up onto their feet. "We haven't done anything wrong!"
"Well for starters," Lahar said snottily as he pushed his glasses p his nose, "you were both fighting."
Lisanna sighed heavily as Natsu looked entirely unbothered by that fact while Gray just looked extremely sheepish. "Fair enough," Gray mumbled.
"So what?" Natsu snapped.
"It's against the school rules!"
"Whatever," Natsu shrugged.
Lahar glowered at Natsu which had little effect on the pink-haired boy, as he began to pick at a loose thread that already formed, thanks to his roughhousing with Gray, on his blazar, to pay any attention to the School Council President. "Then there is also the fact that one of you is naked which is definitely against the school code," Lahar continued as he turned his glare to Gray, "why the hell are you naked?!" he demanded to know.
"What?!" Gray yelped as he peered down at himself. Somehow, somewhere, between leaving his house and picking a fight with Natsu, Gray had managed to loose every item of clothing apart from his school tie. "Crap!" he cursed in embarrassment. "Not again. Sorry," he apologised to Lahar, "this happens all the time."
"Wonderful," Lahar said dryly, "I can see you'll be spending a lot of time in detention."
"Oh come on!" Gray whined. "I don't do it on purpose!"
"That remains to be seen," Lahar sneered, obviously not believing Gray, "and you!" he barked as he pointed at Natsu. Natsu jumped slightly as he had forgotten Lahar was even scolding him, let alone that he had actually done something to deserve being shouted at. "You are definitely purposely breaking the school code with that snot rag round your neck and that unnatural pink hair."
Lisanna inhaled sharply as a furious look flickered across her face and Gray simply looked aghast. He couldn't stand Natsu and would pick a fight over anything but even he wouldn't insult Natsu's precious scarf that had been a gift from his father.
Lahar faltered in his own self-righteous anger when he, along with everyone else, felt an icy atmosphere fill the corridor as Natsu's face darkened uncharacteristically.
"Shut your pie-hole!" he spat out furiously. "Quit acting like you're king of the mountain. You're giving me a headache….you lame ass fried turd." The silent members of the School Council that flocked Lahar all gasped melodramatically at that. "Who died and made you God, huh?" Natsu taunted. "What made you all-knowing and all-seeing?" he demanded to know. "Because I have you know that this hair, this awesome hair," Gray snorted at that but was promptly ignored, "is one hundred per cent natural."
"I highly doubt it," Lahar sneered, "can you even prove it?"
"I can."
"Really?" Lahar said disbelievingly. "Do you have physical evidence?" he asked patronisingly. "Indisputable evidence?"
An evil grin spear across Natsu's face as a mischievous gleam appeared in his eyes. "Yes," he said with simple smugness.
And then suddenly he reached out, grabbed Lahar by his shirt collar, and dragged him into the boy's bathroom that conveniently happened to be nearby.
"…"
"…"
"…"
"…"
The silence was deafening as all the Student Council members, Gray, and Lisanna all stared at the bathroom door in horror. Their jaws dropped wide open and their eyes virtually bugging out of their sockets as the implications of Natsu was doing sank in.
"…WHAT THE HELL?!" Gray bellowed.
"N-N-Natsu!" Lisanna stammered.
The bathroom door swung open again and Lahar staggered out, his face deathly pale, and a stunned expression fixed on his face. Natsu, however, swaggered out with great smugness. "Compelling proof indeed," Lahar said numbly, "The world is filled with unimaginable wonders."
"NATSU YOU MORON!" Lisanna shrieked. Her cheeks bright pink with embarrassment as she grabbed her best friend by his scarf and shook him violently. "YOU DON'T GO ROUND SHOWING PEOPLE YOUR DICK ON YOUR FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL!"
"But Lisanna!" Natsu whined. "He didn't believe my hair was natural!"
"I don't care!" Lisanna hissed furiously. "You should have to prove your hair was natural by whipping off your trousers!"
Natsu didn't answer as a look of sheer terror crossed his face. Lisanna stiffened as she could sense the petrifying, sinister, dark aura that was Erza Scarlet's temper seeping through the corridor like a mist.
"…What is this?" Erza said quietly. "Is someone making Natsu undress? Natsu," her voice got sharper and more pointed, "Is someone taking advantage of you?"
"I-I-it's not like that!" Lahar stammered fearfully. "I simply accused Mr Dragneel for breaking the school code by dying his hair an unnatural colour and he has just proven to me that his hair is in fact natural," he said desperately in an attempt to reassure Erza.
It didn't work.
Her temper spiked instead as her nostrils flared, her lips tightened together, and her eyes appeared to have flames of fury in them. "There are several new girls with strange hair colours, are you going to besmirch them by making them prove their hair is natural too?" she snarled furiously.
"Yes!" Lahar squeaked. "No!" he corrected himself immediately." I….I don't know!" he wailed nervously. "Please! You're scaring me!"
Erza trembled with barely suppressed fury as she clenched her hands into fists. "You disgusting pervert," she declared passionately, "I swear to you I will ruin you for daring to be such a creep. Mark my words!" she pointed at him dramatically. "I will make you beg for mercy."
"Oh come on Erza!" Gray rolled his eyes exasperatedly. "Give the guy a break, it was Natsu who dragged him the bathroom not the other way round. He's already been traumatised once, he doesn't need you to traumatise him any further."
"Oi!" Natsu yelped indignantly. "What's that supposed to mean?!"
"That no one wants your hideous, misshapen dick in their faces," Gray sneered, "You imbecile."
"How would you know it' hideous and misshapen, have you been trying to take a peek?!" Natsu demanded loudly. "Urgh!" he shuddered. "I feel violated."
"That's not what I meant you giant dumbass!"
"Who are you calling a-"
"Natsu! Gray!" Erza barked as she turned her ire towards the two bickering boys. "Stop fighting!" she hissed.
Natsu and Gray immediately froze, pulled out of their fighting stances, and stood like soldiers as they saluted Erza. "Yes, Ma'am!" they shouted.
Lisanna buried her face into her hands as she felt she could crawl into a hole and die of embarrassment and shame. "I wonder if it's too late to transfer…?" she mumbled to herself.
"And you," Erza whirled back to face Lahar. She brought the full force of her temper with her which caused the whole of Lahar's group of friends to stumble back and shudder in fear. "I will see you on the battlefield," she said with all seriousness and solemnness of a priest.
Lahar trembled in reply.
….Later tha week Lahar was replaced by Erza as Student Council President in the bloodiest way possible.
