disclamation: I do not own the 'Digimon' anime, nor do I own the story of 'Cinderella'. the ownership rights of the 'Digimon' anime are reserved for Hiroyuki Kakudo, Fuji TV, and finally for Toei Animation. Cinderella's rights of ownership are reserved for the folks of the Walt Disney Animation Studios Company, Charles Perrault, and the Brothers Grimm.
Meanwhile in Sora's old room where her stepsisters now slept, Leilani is just getting up to start the day, while Jun is still sleeping away in her bed just enough to fall of it.
Miyako 'Yolei' Inoue: Mornings. While they were at least tolerable to Leilani, they did not agree with Jun. And while Leilani at least tried to be of some help around the house by tending to the servants whenever they were sick or injured, Jun did nothing to help and lacked any and every accomplishment in many domestic arts such as keeping house. In fact, while Leilani turned out to possess even a little talent for even the simpler arts such as merely doodling, Jun lacked the talent even for that.
Jun is later heard singing, or rather trying to sing, for her mother. But unfortunately for her, she cannot seem to sing worth beans. Leilani does even a little bit better with her drawing skills, until her mother wants a portrait of herself to be done by Leilani. That is when Leilani chokes under the pressure to make her mother happy and get back into Sakura's good graces. When she finally shows her mother the resulting picture, however, Sakura ridicules poor Leilani even more than she ever had before.
Sakura Motomiya: That is just awful, Leilani.
Leilani Motomiya: I tried to tell I can't do portraits, mother, but you didn't listen to me. I tried telling you that I can only doodle, but you insisted on me drawing your portrait. It's not my fault you think it's horrible. I told you I couldn't do it.
Sora suddenly feels it to be imperative that she help Leilani defend her claims about herself.
Sora Takenouchi: With all due respect, stepmother, Leilani seems to be aware of her own limitations. I believe you should just accept her the way she is. Besides, the drawing's not quite as bad as you two seem to think it is.
Leilani Motomiya: Thank you so much, Sora. May I ask you; why are you so nice?
Sora is about to answer Leilani's question when Sakura interrupts their friendly conversation.
Sakura Motomiya: That's enough kindness from you to last us all through the whole day, Sora. Now do go back to your duties.
Sora obliges to Sakura's orders and heads back to her family among the servants, while Sakura is finally fed up with Jun's butchering of the fine art that is singing.
Sakura Motomiya (continued): Oh, do shut up, Jun.
A/N: I know it's a short chapter, but I promise more chapters to come.
