disclamation: I don't own even one of the 'Digimon' anime, manga, or card games. I'm but a humble fanfiction blogger on this website and an author of other types of stories on the Internet, specifically on WattPad. the only way in which I truly own 'Cinderella' is on Bluray and DVD.
The masquerade ball is just getting into full swing when Sora arrives at the palace and Sakura and her daughters are introduced in their own masquerade costumes. Meanwhile, Prince Yamato is quite unhappy that the love of his life has yet to have shown up at the ball and is annoyed at every other young girl's advancements towards his hand.
Back outside beyond the palace stairs, however, Sora is a little uncertain about her rights to visit her friend. The lizard/footman from the right side of it helps her out of the carriage coach.
Lizard #2 (in human form): Miss Sora.
Sora looks at the steps that would lead her into the palace if she would just go up them.
Sora Takenouchi: I'm so scared, Mr. Lizard. I'm not a princess, I'm just a girl.
Lizard #2 (in human form): And I'm not a footman, I'm just a lizard. But it's as Mimi said, the spell will only last so long. Enjoy it while it does.
Once Sora steps into the ballroom, however, she gains her confidence back, especially when not even her stepfamily can recognize her. She can see her stepfamily from the balcony when she steps into the room. Sakura is dressed as a graceful heron, Jun is wearing a peacock outfit that does not really go with her beyond unmanageable mane of spiky hair, while Leilani is in a horse mask, simply because she is only at the masque for the food.
Luckily for Leilani, someone else at the banquet table is also wearing a horse mask. She notices them and they notice her. It already almost resembles a date of some kind. The other person in the horse mask is eating an apple when the two first meet.
When Sora first shows up to the masque in the ballroom, she is seen wearing a lovely butterfly mask and looks very fetching, particularly to the prince. If that cannot be bad enough for the Grand Duke's plans for the masquerade ball, when the prince finally goes to her and feels her hand, he immediately recognizes her as the love of his life.
Sora and Prince Matt then go over to meet one another in the center of the ballroom and dance in the ballroom's main spotlight dance for a bit. They even dance to the waltz tune from the treasured ballet of 'Swan Lake'. Even the Arabian dance from the 'Nutcracker' is played for them to waltz to.
Sora Takenouchi: Why did you not tell me you're the prince?
Prince Yamato 'Matt' Ishida: People don't see you for who you really are when you're royalty because they can't… and I did sort of hint at it as the truth.
Sora Takenouchi: Touché, your majesty! And I also have something to tell you.
Unfortunately for the two of them, the beginning of Sora's confession comes after Sakura and Jun have realized that the new mystery princess in the room was none other than their servant girl, 'CinderSora', with her mother's beloved cheongsam dressed up a little further.
Prince Yamato 'Matt' Ishida: Whatever it is you need to tell me; my answer is a definite 'yes'.
Prince Matt takes Sora over to meet his father and his friends.
Meanwhile, Sakura drags her daughter, Jun, over to the prince and Sora by the hand.
Jun Motomiya: What are you doing?
Sakura Motomiya: Making my daughter a princess.
Upon making it to the prince and her stepdaughter, Sakura forcefully removes Sora's butterfly mask.
Sakura Motomiya (continued): How dare you?!
Matt, his father and the entire royal court notice Sakura's actions towards the prince's girlfriend right away.
Prince Yamato 'Matt' Ishida: Madam, contain yourself.
Sakura Motomiya: She is an imposter, your grace!
Sora Takenouchi: No!
Sakura Motomiya: Her name is Sora Takenouchi, and she has lived as a servant girl in my home for the past twelve years.
King Hiroaki Ishida: A servant girl, Yamato? Is this supposed to be some kind of joke? Because I'm not laughing. I'm not even amused by it.
Prince Yamato 'Matt' Ishida: Madam Motomiya, you are on dangerous ground!
Sakura Motomiya: Ask her yourself, your highness! She's a grasping, devious, deceitful little pretender, and it is my duty, my liege, to expose her as the treacherous fraud she is.
Prince Yamato 'Matt' Ishida: Tell this woman who you are. Tell her.
Sora just continues to stare sadly at Prince Matt. Leilani steps in from past the nosebleeds in the audience to try to get a good look at Sora. While she thinks that Sora is pretty with what has happened to her mother's cheongsam, Jun is as bitterly jealous of Sora as she has always been.
Sakura Motomiya: Bow before royalty, you insolent hoax!
Prince Yamato 'Matt' Ishida: Good Lord! It can't be true!
Prince Matt no longer knows what to think of the situation. He is even close to not knowing who to believe anymore.
Prince Yamato 'Matt' Ishida: Miss…?
Sora is in tears at what her own stepmother has singled her out for.
Sora Takenouchi: I am what she says I am. I am nothing more than a servant girl in my own house.
Prince Matt just looks at Sora as she tells him and then at Sakura then back at Sora.
Prince Yamato 'Matt' Ishida: The stag in the forest. Was that nothing but a trick, too?
Sora Takenouchi: I can explain, your majesty.
King Hiroaki Ishida: Well, somebody had better!
The castle physician, Dr. Kido, then rushes to the king's aid.
Dr. Kido: Your majesty, your blood pressure!
Back with his son, Prince Matt no longer knows whether to believe even Sora or not.
Prince Yamato 'Matt' Ishida: I can't even believe this… I've been obsessing over a servant girl?!
Prince Matt grows the most disappointed scowl ever on his face.
Prince Yamato 'Matt' Ishida (continued): I've heard enough.
Sora tries to go after him and to explain herself all at once…
Sora Takenouchi: Please, hear me out. Listen to me, please, Matt.
This only causes gasping amongst the onlookers. Prince Matt turns around to face her upon having heard Sora say his name.
Prince Yamato 'Matt' Ishida: Do not address me so informally, madam. I am a prince of this kingdom and you… are just like the rest of them.
