disclamation: I own nothing but this fanfiction. I am but a humble fanfiction blogger on this website and others such as WattPad.
Miyako 'Yolei' Inoue: The following day back at the chateau, Sora was back to her life as usual. Only difference seemed to be that Sakura had other plans in mind.
Sora is working in the fields and Sakura is picking at a leaf.
Sakura Motomiya: I had heard a rumor or two that before your rather embarrassing little debut at the masque, the prince was about to choose Jun to be his bride.
A/N: it's quite an exaggeration, but Sora does not know that.
Then, Sora drops the soil pick and just wants Sakura to leave, but Sakura clearly will not let anything be left up to chance for poor Sora.
Sakura Motomiya (continued): Men are so fickle, aren't they? One minute, they're writing a song about you and then the next, you're back to being nothing but the hired help.
It is then that Jun also shows up to disturb Sora to her own heart's content.
Jun Motomiya: Although… I've gotta say, 'CinderSora', I have never seen you quite as dedicated in your chores as you are right now.
Sora Takenouchi: What makes you think I do any of this for you two anymore?
Sakura Motomiya: Well, my, my, my. Aren't we a bit on the sassy side this morning?
Sora Takenouchi: Let me pass.
Sakura Motomiya: You've brought this on yourself, 'CinderSoot'.
Sora Takenouchi: I've work to do.
Jun Motomiya: Let the others handle it for once.
Sora Takenouchi: Don't either one of you understand? You've both won! Go move into your palace and leave us be!
Sora hikes up the hill to take the weeds away. Sakura and Jun, however, reject her help.
Sakura Motomiya: You're not our problem anymore, 'CinderSora'.
Sora becomes put off by this.
Sora Takenouchi: Is that what I am, your problem? I've done everything you two have ever asked of me and still the two of you deny me the only thing I ever really wanted from either one of you.
Jun Motomiya: And what might that have been?
Sora Takenouchi: What did you two ever even think it was? Other than Leilani, you two are the family I have left in this world. Wasn't there any time in your lives, even in its smallest measurement, that either one of you loved me at all?
But Sakura and Jun just stand staring at Sora all stone-faced. If that is not bad enough, Sakura's only response to Sora's question about her and her daughter, Jun, possibly ever having loved her at all is nothing except for…
Sakura Motomiya: How could anyone ever love a pebble in their shoe?
So, that is that. Sakura and Jun Motomiya both seem to have always thought of Sora Takenouchi as nothing else besides a pebble in their shoe(s). Sora's eyes begin turning to water as she accepts that to be Sakura and Jun's joint opinion of her.
