On his way out of the church after the (almost) royal wedding, Prince Matt Ishida runs into Leilani Motomiya and the three remaining servants from Sora's parents' chateau. He runs over to the four of them to ask them…
Prince Yamato 'Matt' Ishida: Where is she?
Lawrence, Gwendolyn, and Clarice notice that the prince has approached them, and so has Leilani. Lawrence, however, is the only one to speak.
Lawrence: Lady Sakura Motomiya?
Prince Yamato 'Matt' Ishida: No, Sora. Sora Takenouchi.
Lawrence's co-servant wife, Gwendolyn, is the next to speak.
Gwendolyn: But, sire, Miss Sora has been sold.
The prince is shocked and heartbroken by this.
Prince Yamato 'Matt' Ishida: Sold? But who has she been sold to?
Leilani becomes the one to tell the prince who currently has the love of his life, having finally had enough with the joint selfishness and arrogance which always comes from Sakura and Jun Motomiya and also having finally given up on trying to repent the two of them.
Leilani Motomiya: Lord Hiram Piedmon, your highness.
Prince Matt Ishida cannot believe what he is hearing about the girl of his dreams being sold to someone else… for profit of all things.
Prince Yamato 'Matt' Ishida: How long has she been sold to this Lord Piedmon?
Clarice: Since the morning following the masque.
As his friends from within the palace staff arrive, the prince considers this for a moment and decides that the matter of rescuing Sora from this Lord Piedmon is more important than dealing with the liars who turned him against his true love.
Prince Yamato 'Matt' Ishida: The four of you will tell no one that we have spoken to one another, as all be revealed in due time. Come, Tai, Captain Wisemon, Lieutenant Jim. There's a lot of work to be done ahead of us. Joe, you and your master tend to my father while he's still breathing and tell him that I've gone to look for my real wife.
With that, Prince Matt heads off to Lord Piedmon's house with Captain Wisemon, Lieutenant Jim, and Tai Kamiya to rescue his love, Sora Takenouchi.
