disclamation: I don't own even one of the 'Digimon' series in any way, shape, or form. I'm but a humble fanfiction blogger on this website and an author of other types of stories on the Internet, specifically on other story-related websites such as WattPad. the only way in which I truly own any adaptation of 'Cinderella' whatsoever is on Blu-ray and/or DVD.
Upon seeing the prince, however, Sora is less than happy to see Matt. Prince Matt thinks that surely it has to do with what he did to her at the masque, so he decides to approach her with caution.
Prince Yamato 'Matt' Ishida: Hello.
Sora Takenouchi: Hello. What are you doing here?
Prince Yamato 'Matt' Ishida: I, um… I came to rescue you, but you seem to have taken it into your own hands.
Sora Takenouchi: Is that all you wanted to do?
Prince Yamato 'Matt' Ishida: It was what I originally had in mind, but now I think a mere apology will probably go far enough. So, I guess I'm now here to beg for your forgiveness, m'lady, that is… if you have any left in you.
Sora Takenouchi: You came to rescue a commoner, sire. When that did not work, you decided to have come to apologize to said commoner.
Prince Yamato 'Matt' Ishida: Believe me, it's the truth. I offered you the world and at the first test of my honor, I betrayed your trust like an idiot. Please, Sora.
Upon hearing the prince, of all people, call her by name, however, Sora seems to let go of her fears and turns towards Prince Matt. She even smiles and the prince smiles in return.
Prince Yamato 'Matt' Ishida (continued): Perhaps, you would be so kind as to help me find the owner of this rather remarkable shoe.
Then, the prince reveals what he had behind his back. It is one of the glass slippers that Sora had left behind the night of the masquerade ball. It is the one that she had lost, to be more specific.
Sora Takenouchi: Where did you find that?
Prince Yamato 'Matt' Ishida: She's my match in every single way, my true love. Please tell me I haven't lost her, yet.
Sora Takenouchi: It belongs to a servant girl, your highness, who you only met when she ran away from the mistresses of a house that was no longer hers.
Prince Yamato 'Matt' Ishida: Yes, I-I know that. And, the name's Matt, if you don't mind.
Then, Prince Matt bends down and kneels in front of Sora.
Prince Yamato 'Matt' Ishida (continued): I kneel before you, my dear Sora, not as a prince, but as a man in love.
Then, Sora chuckles a bit at this fact from the prince, of all men in the kingdom. Then, Prince Matt takes off Sora's current shoe and replaces it her own mother's cheongsam slipper which had been turned to glass while saying…
Prince Yamato 'Matt' Ishida (continued): I would feel like a king, though, if you, Sora Takenouchi, would be my queen.
