Lucy nodded at the sight in satisfaction.

The bath was filled to the brim with warm, soapy, water and big fluffy bubbles which will be utter bliss to soak in. meanwhile the room was plunged into darkness as French Vanilla candles filled the room, round the bath, on the top of the toilet, on the window sill, and on the sink which added a romantic lighting the room as well as a delicious sweet smell that made Lucy drool just a little in thought of cookies. The frosting on the cake though – for her at least – was the path of strewn rose petals leading from her bed to the bathroom.

Even if Natsu didn't get it there was no way he would ignore a path of flowers that looked out of place.

So all Lucy had to do was strip down and make herself look enticing in her bath and she had no doubt that she and Natsu would enjoy a nice, quiet, romantic evening together.

She was just about to take her top off when the bathroom door slammed open.

"Oi, Lucy!" Natsu yelled cheerfully. "What's with all the petals? Isn't the point of flowers to keep them – whoa!" he stepped back to take in the romantic mood Lucy created and blinked rapidly. Lucy smiled as saucily as she could as she waited for Natsu to start striping. "What's with the bath and candles?" Natsu asked.

"I thought you could use a nice relaxing bath after your training," Lucy said sweetly, "there's nothing more relaxing than a nice bubble bath."

"Huh," Natsu blinked, "that's nice of ya, Luce." Lucy smirked slightly as she stepped forwards, ready to help Natsu out of his waistcoat when he abruptly turned round and her hands barely brushed against his back. "Hey Happy!" Natsu called out. "Lucy's made us a nice bath."

"WHAT?!" Lucy screeched.

"Awesome!" Happy trilled as he zoomed in. "That's so nice of you Lucy!"

"I…you….but….Guh…"

Lucy struggled to find the words for her shock and fury that Natsu seemed to want to share their romantic bath with Happy of all people. Her speechlessness was made worse when Natsu suddenly stripped everything off (apart from his scarf) and then promptly jumped into the bath causing a huge wave of warm, soapy, water to –

SPLASH!

Lucy stood there fuming as her clothes were now stuck against her skin and her hair dripped pitifully.

"Hmm!" Natsu hummed cheerfully as he shoved one of Lucy's candles into his mouth. "You even provided snacks!" he said spitting out wax everywhere. "This is dead tasty. Like cookies. Only weird texture."

"You're silly, Natsu," Happy said as he paddled in the bath, "those are candles not snacks!"

"They're fire," Natsu pointed out, "so they're snacks to me."

"Fish is better!"

"Fish is stinky compared to these!"

"You take that back!"

"You take back what you said about Lucy's snacks!"

"No, you!"

"No, you!"

"No, you!"

"No, you!"

"No, you!"

"No, you!"

"No, you!"

"No, you!"

"No, you!"

"No, you!"

"No, you!"

"No, you!"

"No, you!"

"No, you!"

"No, you!"

"No, you!"

Lucy slumped to the floor and covered her ears as she sobbed helplessly in despair. Not only was her romantic evening with Natsu had been ruined but now her bathroom was in the process of being completely destroyed as Happy and Natsu engaged in a water fight.

Why did she love these people?!
