Chapter 7:

Panting from the hot sweaty sex they just had, Katara kisses Cho-Seng passionately as she rolls her hips in his lap and moans loudly as he slaps her ass. She wraps her arms around his neck and kisses him passionately, loving the way he made her feel. He felt so good and she missed this feeling. It was like how sex used to be like with Ozai. Of course, she'd never say it out loud but it reminded her of when they first started out with their romance. How their sex life was thrilling and full of heated sessions. Sure, she didn't love Cho-Seng as she did Ozai but she couldn't tell the difference. He felt like Ozai did and as messed up as that sounded, she didn't care. Ozai had been her best lover and with his attentions being elsewhere, this was the only way of her getting what she wanted.

"Yes!" Katara moaned loud. "Fuck me just like that, Ozai!"

Cho-Seng sighed and stopped mid-thrust as Katara once again called him by her ex's name. The first two times he gave her a pass but third was a charm and he was done. Katara climbed off his lap as he patted her to get up. He gathered his things and started getting dressed while Katara sat on the edge of her bed.

"I'm not getting between you and your ex, Katara. I refuse to be in the middle of whatever game you immortals think you can play with us humans." Cho-Seng said angrily as he put on his boots and began buttoning his shirt. "I'm a man at the end of the day and I thought I could be yours but you still love him and I'm not stupid enough to believe I can compete."

Honestly, Katara didn't know what to say.

"You want to be with him, fine. But I won't be a pawn in your games."

As Cho-Seng walked out, Katara sat on the edge of her bed and sulked into her hands.

The following day, Katara saw Ozai and sent him a smile that he didn't even notice as he spoke to a minister. She figured since he and Ami were on a break and she and Cho-Seng broke up, that they could get together or just have a drink together without any guilt. However, the following few days after her break up, Ozai had been avoiding her. She didn't bother chasing him around as she realized this and just sort of sulked in her bedroom. She never had to work for Ozai's attention and she really didn't know how to get it now that she had lost it. Truthfully, he was making her feel self-conscious of herself. Was she getting up there in age? Sure, she looked young and would forever but she was the same age as him when they were first married, what if that bummed him out? Or was she just washed up and no good after all she had been through? She had scars and marks on her body that were somewhat visible. She needed to find a way to get rid of them.

Sighing as she swung gently in the gardens and looked up at the sky, Katara saw Ozai being followed by a few ministers pestering him about something. She was starting to believe that Ozai's lack of attention had less to do with her and more to do with his duties as Phoenix King. She hopped off her swing and was about to head after him when she suddenly felt dizzy and paused.

What's wrong with m- before she could finish the thought, Katara passed out in the grass and went completely unconscious.

"Dad, I need you." Kya rushed into her father's office that was crowded with ministers and officials.

Ozai looked over the crowd of ministers and officials and saw his daughter. "Kya, not now. I have something of the utmost importance I'm dealing with."

"It's mom." She told him.

"Tell your mom I will see her tonight if she's patient."

"She passed out in the gardens."

Ozai opened a portal immediately and left his office, the officials all turning to Kya.

Swallowing hard, "I guess I'm in charge here."

Seeing the waterbender stir in her sleep and begin to wake up, Ozai walked over to his bed where he laid her. He found her unconscious in the garden and couldn't figure out what was wrong with her. Even the physicians were baffled as her vitals seemed fine to them. He was told to let her rest and wait for her to wake.

Now that she was, Ozai came close to her and held his hand at her forehead. When she opened her eyes, he saw them glowing at him before he could react she snatched his hand and bit it. He pulled away and looked at her in surprise before chuckling.

"What's gotten into you, waterbender?"

Katara touches her head as she feels dizzy, "I don't feel good." Her eyes still glowing.

Remembering Ba Seng Sei, when she attacked him for his blood, Ozai rolls up his sleeve and offers her his wrist. Katara looks at it hungrily before glancing at him.

"Feed or whatever." He told her.

Katara takes his arm and begin biting into it. She saw Ozai weakly fall to his knees by the bed as she drank from him. She felt bad but she couldn't help it. She needed this but she didn't want to hurt him. However, she looked over and saw Ozai was just fine, if anything, he looked turned on. Stopping, Katara was about to ask what was wrong when he moved to kiss her.

The two ended up in bed, still clothed as they made out. Katara straddled Ozai and bit into his neck, rolling her hides above him as he clung to her clothes. She dry humped him as he was hard as a rock, stiff in his pants. Ozai bit her tongue till it bled and moved Katara to kissed him, her drinking it the blood from his mouth as they sat up in bed and grinded against one another.

"Shit!" Ozai hissed as he came in his pants.

Katara breaks away from their kissing and flips her hair over her shoulder, "Sorry." She panted. "I got carried away."

As Katara wipes the blood from her mouth, Ozai laid in his bed feeling euphoric. Why did biting him get him turned on so much?

"Thank you." Katara hurried off the bed and ran off.

Ozai shut his eyes and smiled to himself. He had gotten how much satisfaction his waterbender gave him. Oh, he was going to fuck her now. At this point, she wasn't going with Cho-Seng anymore and he wasn't with Ami. It could work.

"See what I mean, the two of them will never stop wanting for one another," Atsou said as he showed Ami the images of Ozai and Katara nearly having sex in his bed.

Ami furrowed her brows in anger. She couldn't believe it. Sure, she and Ozai were on break but that didn't mean they were supposed to be hooking up with other people. Had he lost his mind trying to fuck his ex? She didn't want to believe this was his fault. It was that damn water slut! She was the problem.

Smirking as he saw the rage in Ami build, "Katara will be out of the picture with little to no effort. Just do what you must and it'll drive her away."

Nodding her head, Ami returned to the palace and made her way to Ozai's chambers. There, she heard him moaning in his bathroom and went to go peek. She found him jerking off in the shower, moaning his ex's name as he did. It pissed her off like no other. How dare he? But this was no time to fret. She needed to make this happen. Make herself as worthy of Ozai as that Water Tribe harlot felt she was.

Stripping out of her clothes, Ami got into the shower with Ozai and wrapped her arms around his middle, catching him off guard as she stroked him.

"I'm sorry about my jealousy, dear. I didn't mean to make matters worse. Allow me to make it up to you." She kissed the bare skin of his back and felt him shiver as she stroked him.

Ozai turned around and picked Ami up, forcing her against the shower wall as he cupped her ass. He smashed his lips into hers and fucked her hard. Ami relished in this. Satisfied in knowing that Ozai was in need so much that he took her right away. Even if a part of him still longed for that filthy water bitch, Ami would never let him return to her. Never. He was all hers.

Having put him asleep with a few tricks that caused him to empty his sack, Ami took a lock of hair and cut a few strands from it. She pocketed the strands and slipped out to her lab to begin her project.

Watching from afar, Atsou chuckled to himself as Ami began her research and experimenting on Ozai's hair sample. Katara thought she could hide that Ami was the scientist for the immortal serum. Well, she was wrong. Nothing got past Atsou. Nothing.

…..

It was Katara's birthday and it seemed no one even noticed. Not even Ozai as he was back with his princess bitch. She sulked by the courtyard fountain as even her kids didn't remember. However, one person did remember and she was surprised with a gift.

"Happy birthday, Tara." Zuko said, holding out a fish bowl with a cute tiny dragon fish inside.

Katara's eyes lit up and she threw her arms around his neck, "Thank you, Zuko!" She cried.

Feeling her dress pulled on, Katara looked down and saw Ryu holding out a gift for her as well.

"Happy Birthday, mama!" Ryu cheered.

Katara's heart melted at the beautiful necklace he gave her. She knelt down and hugged her little boy and kissed him repeatedly on the cheeks.

"Thank you both! I thought everyone forgot!"

Zuko chuckled, "I could never forget your birthday, Tara."

"Papa lights candles for mama every year on her birthday." Ryu tells his mother.

Patting his son's head, "That's enough, Ryu."

"Can you come have birthday dinner with us, mama?"

Katara smiled at her son and nodded.

Zuko smiled and held his hand out for Katara, "Let's go."

As the waterbender left with Zuko, Ozai saw this and seemed upset. Where the hell was she going?

Katara didn't return for several days and when she did, Ozai was waiting for her in her chambers not looking the least bit happy.

"Where were you?" He demanded to know.

Placing the boxes of gifts she received from Zuko on her bed, "Can't you just look for me with your fire magic?"

"Typically, yes but Zuko doesn't liked being watched and he blocks my view of things. Now tell me what you were doing?"

Katara turned and glared at him, "I was celebrating my birthday with Zuko and my son as it seems you and your children have forgotten all about me."

Ozai furrowed his brows, "It's not your birthday."

"It is, Ozai! I turned forty-two!"

"No you didn't."

"Ozai! How can you tell me whether it's my birthday or not?! Zuko remembered! Apparently, he lights candles every year on my birthday!"

Scratching his head, "So it was actually your birthday?"

"Yes!"

"Why didn't you say something?"

"Because your head was so far up your girlfriend's ass that you wouldn't even speak to me that day and Kya's been ignoring me for weeks cause I'm a lowborn, Zhiar was busy playing with Mailan as he hasn't seemed to grow up, and I don't fault Mailan for not knowing. But the rest of you! I'm hurt! I'm really hurt!"

Ozai sighed and stood up, "I'm sorry." Opening his arms to hug her.

Katara glared at him, "Get out!"

"I said I'm sorry."

"Just get out!"

Ozai sighed and left, slamming her door behind him.

Later that day, Katara was putting up her gifts when she heard a loud bang at the door of her chambers. She sighed and went to go answer it but knew she was about to be annoyed by Ozai in some shape or form.

Opening the door, Katara saw Ozai and the kids standing outside her door with stupid grins on their faces. Ozai was holding a cake with three candles on it. One for the past, present, and future.

"Happy birthday, Mom!" The kids said in unison.

Holding the cake to her, "Make a wish, waterbender."

Katara couldn't help but smile at them. Her family was so silly and dorky. Tui and La, she loved them. She closed her eyes and took a moment before blowing out the candles.

"Yay!" Mailan cheered as she bounced around. "What did you wish for?"

"I can't tell you or it won't come true." Katara told her daughter as she caressed her soft brown curls.

Zhiar folded his arms and scoffed, "She wished for Ami to drop dead."

"My money is on she wished dad wasn't a dumb ass." Kya snickered.

Ozai slapped them both in the back of the head, "Shut up, you two."

"Whatever, we all know it." Kya said as she turned to leave.

As Zhiar took Mailan's hand and followed after Kya, Ozai stepped into Katara's chambers. He let her lead him to her dining room where he placed her cake down and turned to face her.

"Are you happy now, waterbender?" He asked her.

"A little." She folded her arms and looked up at him with an amused look on her face. "You still care about me, don't you?"

"Of course," Ozai said as he awkwardly looked away from her. "We're friends, aren't we?"

Something about that word friends didn't sit right with her. After everything they had been through together, they were just friends? Really? Ozai, you dumb ass. Katara sighed and tilted her head, still staring at him as he kept his eyes averted from her.

"What's she got that I don't?"

Ozai's eyes were back on her but they were slanted, "Don't do that, Katara."

"Don't do what? Ask you a legitimate question?"

Groaning, "Don't start an argument. You have your cake, we said happy birthday, I got you a gift. See." Ozai pulled out a hairpin with red rubies and sapphire stones on it. "Here." The Phoenix King placed it in the waterbender's silver hair and touched it up a little to fit perfectly. "You should be happy now. Are you happy?"

Katara's lip trembled, "No." She cried.

"Oh my Agni! What do you want from me?!"

Katara moved to wrap her arms around his middle and hug him tight, "I just want you, Ozai. Why don't you understand that? I've only wanted you."

Ozai tried to pry her arms from around him, "We are done, Katara. Stop holding onto the past. You're making it hard to be friends."

"I don't wanna just be friends!" She cried.

"I'm with Ami!"

"I don't care! You were mine first! She can't have you!"

Ripping her arms from him, Ozai grabbed Katara by her cheeks with one hand and squished them together. "I know it's not your fault for what you've done in the last two years but damn it, Katara. I need something new. Something not consisting of our fucked up past. I respectfully allowed you to be with Arnook, despite me not liking him. I allowed it so long as he was good to you. I only intervene when he proved to be incompetent. Now, respect my wishes to move on! Why can't I have that?! The same courtesy I showed you, why can't you return it?"

Katara sniffled as he let go of her face.

"Did you stop loving me when you were with Arnook?"

"Of course not."

"The same goes for me as I'm with Ami." Ozai told her. "This has nothing to do with you. It has everything to do with what I want and you're not what I want right now, just like I wasn't what you wanted." Rubbing the tears from the waterbender's eyes, "I'll never love her like I love you, Katara. But you have to let me go."

Katara shook her head, "I can't."

"Go fix things with Cho-Seng. I won't bother you two anymore. I promise." He tried offering her a small grin. "Or find someone else. I'll help you."

Slapping his hand from her face, "I'll tell Ami you like men." Katara threatened.

Laughing before he glared at her with a smirk on his lips, "Do it. I'm sure she'll be up for a threesome."

"Oh, you are sick." Katara gave him a dirty look.

Ozai rolled his eyes, "Whatever. At least, she'd want that with me."

"I would too."

Sighing, "Katara, please stop. Desperation is not a good look on you."

"Desperation?!"

"Yes! Desperation!"

Katara balled her fists and screamed, "Get the fuck out!" She pointed to the door.

"This is my palace! I go where I want!"

"Then I'm leaving!" Katara stormed to her bedroom and started throwing everything into her trunk. "If you don't want me, why ask me to stay here! I mean, really?! You led me on to believe we would work on us only so you could trap me into staying, so you could fuck off with your bitch of a princess, Ami! Why would you do that to me?! I'd never!"

Ozai followed her into her room and saw her packing her things into her trunk. He grabbed her wrists from behind and tried to stop her from packing.

"You're not going anywhere. Stop being dramatic."

Shoving him away from her, Katara lashed out at him, calling him all sorts of names and threatening to punch him in his face if he didn't leave her alone.

"Where will you go, Katara?"

"I'm going to stay with Zuko. At least, I'll get some peace and quiet!"

"What about the kids? You're just going to leave them?" Ozai furrowed his brows at her.

Slamming her trunk close after it was packed, "I'll take Mailan with me to see Ryu. Kya will be in the Fire Nation for the delivery, Zhiar can come if he likes. But I'm not staying here any longer. If we're done, let's be done!"

"Fine, leave!"

"I am!"

"Well, get going!"

"I am!"

Katara opened a portal and shoved her things through, "I'll get the kids on my way back."

Ozai watched the waterbender disappear through the portal and punched a hole into the wall. The woman got on his last nerves. He tried to do everything right. Tried to appease her and still get what he wanted but he couldn't. Katara wouldn't be satisfied till he completely dumped Ami and took her back. But that wasn't going to happen. As much as he loved his waterbender and had for many years, they had simply grown apart. The lusting after one another was simply the remaining attraction but Ozai didn't feel in love with Katara anymore. He didn't feel like there were anymore sparks between them. He cared for her and wanted the best for her still but he didn't want what they had been trying to have for all these years. The idea died on him and he was just ready to move on with his immortal life. Maybe in the future, the far future, things could be rekindled but he doubted it. He was seriously done with having a romantic relationship with Katara. They were over.

….

Katara sulked once again as Mailan and Ryu played in their shared room. She tried to keep face for the kids but they were already fully aware that she wasn't happy and were trying to make her a gift to cheer her up.

As they fixed up a broken toy of theirs to give as a surprise to their mother, Zuko waltzed in and sighed at the sight of Katara trying to pretend that she was grateful for the makeshift gift the kids made her. He asked the little ones if he could borrow their mother and both booed at him.

"We're gonna make mommy happy!" Mailan furrowed her brows at Zuko.

"Yeah, making mama happy is our jobs!" Ryu bounced up in his father's face.

Standing to her feet, "It's fine, you two. Just play as you were. Mommy's going to talk to the Fire Lord."

Ryu and Mailan pulled on her arms, trying to stop her.

"Mommy! No! Daddy said the Fire Lord is bad!"

Ryu stopped pulling on his mother and looked at Mailan with a grumpy look on his face, "My papa isn't bad. Your papa is evil."

"Daddy is the goodest person ever! He would never be evil!" Mailan shouted at Ryu.

"My papa says your papa did sex to mama!"

"You're stupid, Ryu." Mailan laughed. "Only people that love each other do sex."

Zuko grabbed Ryu by the ear and reprimanded him, "That's a very bad thing to say, Ryu. I want you to go write a hundred times that you will never say that again."

"You too, Mailan."

The two kids angrily looked at each other before going to carry out their parents' orders.

Sighing as he rubbed the back of his neck, "I need so much help with him." Zuko admitted.

"You should let him come stay with me." Katara suggested.

"You mean stay with my father? I don't think so." Zuko said as he picked up some of the cluttered toys off the floor of the playroom.

Helping him clean up, "Ozai loves Ryu, he'd never hurt him."

"I know that." Zuko picked up a toy bear and looked at it, "I think you and Mailan should move here. It'd be nice having some help with Ryu. He needs his mother."

"I agree but I can't take Mailan from Ozai. He's her legal father. Plus, Ozai would never allow-"

"Allow what? I didn't think you needed permission to do as you liked, Katara. You're your own woman now. No one can tell you what to do."

"Not even you, Zuko." Katara shot him a look.

Smirking, "Especially not me."

Sighing as she shook her head, "I'm thinking about moving out the palace and getting my own place. I'm tired of the fighting between me and Ozai. Plus, I want all my children with me. Ryu too. He needs his mother, like you said."

"Well, if you had your own place, I'd be willing to agree to Ryu staying with you. But it'd be nice if you stayed in the Fire Nation."

"Zuk-"

"Kya is moving back here and will have her son here. You'd be close to them and plus, you love the Fire Nation."

Katara looked at Zuko and smiled, "I guess it wouldn't be so bad to live here. Not like I wanna see Ozai and Ami together all the time. Plus, I'm so sick of green, I think I'll puke if I see more of it."

Chuckling, "Then it's settled. I'll find an estate for you here and you can move back." Zuko said gleefully.

Katara smiled at him and figured this was all for the best. Seeing Ozai with someone else was only making her miserable. Plus, all her children, aside from Mailan were Fire Nation children. Either born here and/or born of a father from the Fire Nation. This was their true home. And she did love the Fire Nation. Not to mention, she missed hanging out with Zuko and having him around all the time. He was a much better help to her than Ozai ever was. This could be good.

Kya was packing her things as she and her siblings were moving to the Fire Nation together. Her mother suddenly decided that she was fed up with her father and was moving somewhere she much preferred to live. It was a good thing. Kya was fed up with her father too. The idiot didn't seem to understand shit about anything. He could be so dense.

"Hey, mom, did you need me to carry the rest of this out?" Zhiar asked.

Folding the rest of her clothes, "Yes, sweetie, thank you."

Seeing her mother is good spirits, Kya entered her rooom and walked up to her. "Mom."

"Kya." Katara glanced over at her pregnant daughter.

"I just wanted to say I'm sorry for snubbing you." Kya looked down apologetically. "I wasn't really upset that you have humble beginnings. I just felt you were lowering yourself in front of dad and that he'd think less of you for it."

Katara continued packing her things, "Your father and I are none of you children's concern. We have our problems but that shouldn't affect you all."

"But it does." Kya stressed to her mother. "We hate seeing you two fight."

"I'm sure which is why I'm leaving." Katara sighed as she shut her trunk and looked to her daughter. "Your father has made his decision and that is whatever he and Ami have going on. So all I can do is-"

"You're not going anywhere! Especially not with my kids!" Ozai hissed as he barged into Katara's bedroom.

Rolling her eyes as Zhiar came back to get her last bit of luggage, Katara ignored him and took her fish tank into her arms.

"Dad, we all want to move to the Fire Nation." Kya said. "I'm going to be living with the Totomi family to raise Jotaro and Zuko got mom her own estate to live in with enough rooms for everyone. Ryu is even going to be living with her now. This is good."

Ozai furrowed his brows at Katara, "You're really leaving me?"

"Ozai, you and Ami are together. Remember you wanted me to respect that? Show you the same courtesy you showed me? Welp, I'm doing it." Katara sighed as she shrugged her shoulders. "Me and Zuko found a nice place in the capital not far from the Totomi estate, so I can check on Kya. Ryu will be living with me and Mailan will be able to see him all the time."

"Mailan isn't going." Ozai bit out.

"She's my daughter, Ozai." Katara glared at him.

"But I raised her."

"And I thank you for that but she is my daughter. These are my kids and they willingly want to stay with me. Don't ruin that because of your greed."

"My greed?!"

"Yes," Katara turned away from him as she looked at her fish swimming in its bowl. "You don't wanna be with me but you still want me around. That's a bit greedy, don't you think?"

"I'm trying to take care of you, you ungrateful bitch!"

Kya narrowed her eyes at her father, "Take care of her how? Isn't Ami your girlfriend now? Wouldn't you be causing even more of a misunderstanding for them both by continuing to have mom live here?"

"Kya-"

"She's right, Ozai. It's not fair to me or Ami. So, I'm leaving as to not cause anymore grief from the woman. Okay? You get to have the entire palace all to yourself with Ami." Katara said as Zhiar returned from the portal to his mother's new estate.

"Ready to go, people?" Zhiar said.

Katara nodded and patted her son's face as she walked towards the portal. "Goodbye, Ozai."

As their mother stepped through the portal, the twins eyed their father.

"You're stupid as all fucks." Zhiar told him. "What made you think mom wants to sit around watching you with another woman?"

Zhiar passed through the portal before his father could snatch him up, leaving Kya to shake her head at him.

"You have to make a decisive decision, dad. Ami or mom? You can't have them both." Kya told him as she left through the portal and it closed behind her.

Ozai looked around as saw Katara took everything. Literally everything. The entire room was bare. Not just that but she took the kids. Damn it! He didn't anticipate her leaving. He thought as long as he took care of her there would be no problems with her living here. Maybe he was making too much of an effort with Ami that he was pushing his family a way. The family he worked to sustain all these years. Now, they had all gone back to the Fire Nation. How could they just leave him like that?

Skulking towards his office to finish up so work, Ozai saw Ami coming from the other direction towards him. He slowed down as he could tell she was looking for him. He sighed and prepared himself for whatever woman fit she about to throw. She had that look on her face like she was upset. He didn't know. Reading women was not his forte.

"Ozai, we need to talk." Ami said nervously.

Nodding his head, "Very well, let's talk in my office." Ozai showed her in.

Sitting at his desk, Ozai busted out his ole reliable flask from the drawer and got to drinking as Ami stood in front of his desk twiddling her fingers.

"What is it, dear?" He said nonchalantly.

"I'm pregnant."

Ozai spit out his drink.

A/N:

Oh snap, Katara is not gonna be happy
