I'm back

Chapter 16:

Returning home, Ozai went upstairs from the dungeons where he locked Ami up to go speak with Katara. She left abruptly after he stopped her from trying to kill the woman. He knew she didn't like that but they needed information and Ami was their key to information on Atsou's current plans. Her impulse to kill a threat needed to get in line as there were more pressing matters at hand.

"Katara, we need to talk." Ozai entered his chambers and saw his wife removing her jewelry and makeup.

Katara was still in her killer instincts mode, "About how you bitched out on killing your ex?"

"Bitched out?! Katara, she worked with Atsou, she has information we are sorely lacking! We can't just kill her!" Ozai stressed to his wife.

Katara stood up and walked up to her husband, "Read her thoughts, Ozai. You'll be able to get her information then. Once we have it, we get rid of her, she's not trustworthy."

"We keep her locked up, Katara." Ozai bit out for her.

Shoving her finger in his chest, "We kill that treacherous whore! She came to kill us on her own accord! She's acting on her own whims! And she's angry at us for getting married!"

"That's your fault."

"My fault?! You still married me, you dumb fuck!"

"Stop calling me names, woman! I don't walk around calling you a bitch!"

"But I know you want to." Katara folded her arms.

Ozai growled, "but out of respect of you being my wife, I watch my fucking mouth. I advise you to learn to have the same respect for me, woman."

Nodding her head as she turned away from him, "I'm only saying, Ami is a threat we can't let off easily. I, we, cannot take more misfortune. We have young children to look after and a bright future to usher the world into. We have no time for sparing our enemies. They must go down, Ozai. All of them."

Ozai clenched his fists, "you just want to kill her because you already don't like her."

"Now, I'm justified." Katara admitted.

"You're being foul, Katara."

"I'm being honest and realistic. We can't save everyone but we must protect our children at all costs. She's a threat through and through. I will not tolerate her!"

"Kat-"

"You've lost very little in going up against our enemies but I've lost so much that my peace of mind is gone! I can't relax or be at peace until those that wish to harm us have been dealt with, Ozai! We have a duty to our family, to those we love, to each other." Katara took his hand in hers and held tight to it. "We cannot let one woman go unpunished."

Ozai furrowed his brows at his wife, "Let me talk with her. See what I find. Then we discuss what to do with her. Do not act out on your own, waterbender."

Katara scoffed and let go of his hand.

"I mean it. As your husband, you should be more respectful and obey me. Do not act on your own accord, Katara."

Mocking an air of obedience, "As you wish, dear."

Ozai clenched his fists. Sometimes Katara really knew how to get under his skin. She was so defiant and unruly at times. More so now than ever before. But he appreciated her nonetheless. She had much to say that he agreed with but her need to kill Ami needed to halt. There was no telling what Ami knew and how it could serve them in taking down Atsou. She needed to see things a little more logically and not be so quick to let herself be swayed by her hatred for Ami.

…..

"You're lucky my dad saved your ass." Mailan said as she wrapped up Ami's bandages per her father's request. "I hear my mom wants your head."

Ami scoffed at the little brat, "You're not even his daughter."

Tying the bandage tight, Mailan ignored the yelping of the woman and glared at the woman. "He's my father, got it, bitch? And to be clear, my father is only keeping you alive for information. Nothing more. As soon as you've served your usefulness, he'll let my mom kill you."

Hissing, "Just like your mother to do the dirty work of the men she rolls on her back for."

Ami was immediately slapped across the face and Mailan pulled away as she saw her father scowling at the woman.

"Be careful what you say to my child, Ami. She's right. I'm the only thing stopping Katara from finishing you off." Ozai growled as he then turned to Mailan to see that she was fine.

After assessing that his daughter was alright, Ozai sent her on her way as he took the stool she had sat on and pulled it further away from Ami to sit.

"Let's talk, Ami. We have some catching up to do." Ozai began.

Sucking her teeth, "I have nothing to say to you, Ozai. You betrayed me."

"You went after the woman I love and rejected my child for being born human. You did nothing to mend my family, in which I love dearly, and you expect me to tolerate it?"

Ami glared at him, "You never loved me, Ozai. I was just a pastime while you made up your mind on when you would take her back!"

Ozai sighed and averted his eyes for a moment, "I can see how you might believe that but I did care-"

"Care. Not love. Those are two different things."

"Well that's besides the point, Ami. Your life was spared so that you could be useful. You're going to cooperate or I'm sending Katara in to deal with you and I'm sure you're well aware that she is not the friendly type." Ozai made it clear as he tilted his head. "Do we have an understanding, Ami?"

Ami folded her arms as she turned away from him, "Sure, Ozai, ask away."

"What was the purpose you served to Atsou before he got rid of you?" Ozai asked.

"Make an immortal serum that worked on humans, help him impregnate your wife before she was your wife, take blood samples from you while you were unaware, and create a killing machine. The last part is not very clear to me as he gave me vague instructions and never gave away what his true plan was for the killing machines."

Furrowing his brows, "Killing machines?"

"I don't know much, Ozai. I swear, all I know is he wanted to create what he called a true monster. But he never said more than he needed. He had a brilliant mind all by himself, Ozai. I honestly can't see you beating him."

Standing to his feet, "Oh, now you sound like Katara."

Ami looked to Ozai, "If even she has said so and was closer to him than I, sure there is some truth you must see in what we're saying."

"Only truth I know is that I've been unkillable all my life. Whether is was my father trying to kill me, the white lotus fucks, assassins, the avatar, my sons, or Katara, I've always survived. Atsou will be no different."

"You underestimate the threat he poses."

"You underestimate my determination to be alive to protect my family."

Ami scoffed, "Stubborn fool."

Ozai returned to speak with his wife and found her practicing her bending with Ryu and Mailan. She bended water back and forth between them. She glanced his way and sighed, telling the kids to continue practicing. He pulled her behind a pillar and placed his hand on the pillar beside where she rested her head, folding her arms as she faced away from him.

"Mercy. Can you do that for me?" Ozai asked her.

"Are you asking me not to protect this family, Ozai? Because if you are, to hell with that." Katara said with an attitude.

Sighing to himself as he backed away from his wife to give her space, "Katara, Ami is no less a victim than you have been. She lost everything to Atsou and has since suffered because of my lack of care, just as you have. Mercy is all I'm asking."

Katara turned her head to face his and looked him in the eyes, "If I do this, Ozai, and she does anything, it will fall on you."

"Very well." Ozai accepted.

"And you're sleeping on the couch for the next month." Katara told him as she tilted her head up at him.

Raising his brows, "What?"

"Yup," She pulled away from the pillar and turned her back to him to observe the children as she clasped her hands behind her back. "You can't advocate for another woman and think you can get cozied up with me at night."

Ozai was really bummed out about this, "My birthday is literally next week, Katara. Are you going to be cold to me then?"

Katara smirked, "I'll prepare a delicious meal for you, have the kids each present a gift but the evening event is canceled. I'm not Ami, Ozai. I will never tolerate another woman, especially not her. Am I understood?"

Ozai contemplated whether letting Ami face his wife was a risk he was willing to make or not. He just wished Katara could see he was doing this for her as much as Ami. Last thing he wanted was to let Katara fall into a dark state of mind from killing Ami. He much enjoyed having her softer side more prevalent now that they were reunited. These last few years have been wonderful. He wouldn't allow her to further sully her hands. She thought he didn't notice or know that she often woke up from her sleep after having flashbacks in her sleep of the violence she had committed. It was not her nature to be the way she had been the last few years but she had developed a more harsh and violent side in order to survive. It was no longer needed for her to survive that way, so he rather her not go there to that way of doing things.

"There is no other woman, Katara."

Scoffing, "Oh, I know that. I keep a close eye on you."

"You spy on me?" Ozai couldn't believe it.

Katara glanced over her shoulder at him, "I oversee everyone and I know everything that goes on in this palace."

The phoenix King was beginning to think his wife was paranoid. Why hadn't he noticed this sooner? Things had been going so well for them but she must have been increasingly worried it would all be taken from them. From her. Wrapping his arms around her waist and kissing the crown of her head as she stared at their children.

"Katara, I will protect us. I won't let you down again. Please, believe me."

Katara sighed and nodded.

Kissing the side of her face, "And I'm sleeping in my bed tonight. If you have a problem with it, you sleep on the couch your-damn-self.." He whispered.

Katara rolled her eyes and shooed him from her, "Be gone already. You're being annoying."

Pulling away Ozai slapped her ass and walked away, causing her much frustration. "See you tonight, dear."

….

"You wear it like this, papa." Ryu said as he pulled his grandfather's topknot out to let his long hair flow down and then stuck a hair clip into his hair. One that had cherry blossoms decorating it.

Ozai had the mirror held up to him and he didn't think it was half day how it looked in his hair. Taking the mirror from his grandson, the Phoenix King took a better look at himself and smirked. "Seventy years old and I've still got it." He chuckled. "I'd fuck myself if I could."

Katara rolled her eyes at him, "I'd think you already had with how much gloating you've been doing as of late."

Side eyeing his wife, "Hey, this day is about me, woman. Don't go being a sourpuss and ruin it. Bad enough you're not putting out."

Katara didn't bother responding to that as Ryu laughed and Mailan brought forth her gift with Zhiar.

Ozai saw the big box and eyed them both, "What the hell have you two got in that big ass box?"

"Language, Ozai."

"Shut it, woman!" Ozai growled at his wife.

Mailan and Zhiar set down the box, grinning at their father.

"Remember we had to put down Kiko because she got really sick for some odd reason?" Mailan said.

Ozai was reluctant to recall but that he did. Kiko, his precious Kiko, his best girl, got terribly sick. He figured it must be due to the incompleteness of the serum Ami gave her. Anyways, it hurt his heart last year to have to put her down but he could watch her suffer no more.

As his children opened a box, Ozai watched them pull out what was a small cub size tiger-dillo. His eyes lit up immediately as Mailan held the cub and brought it over to him. As soon as the cub was in his hands, the Phoenix King's heart melted and caused him to tear up. Mailan and Ryu patted his back while Zhiar snickered to himself and Katara couldn't help but think Ozai was so cute when he was like this. He really was a more sensitive man under it all.

Rubbing his face to the cub's, "I'll name you…- wait what are you?" Ozai lifted the cub to access its little bits and discovered it was a girl. "Lele."

While Ozai was cooing over his new tiger-dillo, Katara pulled out her gift and presented it to him. He glanced away from his new best girl and saw Katara open the small box, revealing a necklace. It was a strange looking necklace, long with a clear crystal pendant which had a blue tent to it at the bottom. Ozai raised a brow and looked at his wife.

Smiling at him, "I made it myself. It allows me to know if something is wrong or if you need my help."

"I don't know, dear. I feel like you're trying to spy on me even harder." Ozai said as he accepted the gift and pulled it over his head to wear.

"It's for your protection. When it glows, it alerts me that you're in danger and I can come to your aid." Katara explained.

Looking at the crystal hanging off the necklace, "Fine but I won't be wearing it all the time."

"Very well."

As the gift giving concluded, Ozai let his family continue enjoying the outdoors as he took his gifts inside to his office, even carrying Lele under his arm. Reaching his office, the Phoenix King placed all his things down on the desk and noticed there was a thin box on his desk. He opened it and saw it was a fan.

"What the fuck do I need a fan for?" Ozai asked himself. "Who the fuck gave me this?"

"Daddy, why are you such a jerk?" Kya asked as she came out from hiding.

Looking up to see it was Kya, Ozai scoffed and sat down in his seat with Lele in his lap. He hadn't seen the girl since he caught her with her brother. It was something he still hadn't processed. His golden child sleeping with her own brother, Ozai really didn't want to believe what he saw but he did. He stared at her somberly and sighed to himself before looking away from her.

"Dad, what's wrong?" Kya walked around his desk and sat in his lap, looking over his features as he kept his eyes off of her.

Shaking his head as he finally met her gaze, "Tell me I didn't see what I had last week."

"Daddy, I-"

Squeezing his eyes shut, Ozai slammed his fist on the desk and gritted his teeth causing the cub to hop out of his lap and hide under the sofa. "I should kill him!"

"It wasn't Zuko's fault, I promise! It was mine."

Ozai shook his head, "You don't have the madness like we do."

Kya raised a brow, "The madness?"

"Our family's curse. The reason Zhiar wants you and why Zuko had you. Our family is cursed with madness. Ask your mother, I snapped at her when we were first married." Ozai explained as he ran his hand through his hair. "I've watched you over the years, Kya. You aren't plagued with madness like we are."

Kya flipped her hair over her shoulder, "So you think this has to do with madness? Not that I simply enjoy being with Zuko and have always loved him."

"He's your fucking brother, Kya!"

"Half-brother." Kya corrected him.

"What difference does it make?! You two are both my children!"

Kya climbed out of her father's lap and was about to leave, but her father caught her hand.

"Kya, stop seeing him. Please!" Ozai pleaded with her. "If your mother finds out, it won't be pretty."

"But I love him." Kya whispered.

Ozai furrowed his brows and stood up, pulling Kya to him. "I understand but there are consequences to sleeping with your brother, Kya. Grave consequences and you can't risk that happening. Do you understand me?"

Yanking herself away from him, "Doesn't matter. I love him and I will stand beside him some day. You and mom should just accept that this is how things are, okay?"

Clenching his teeth in his mouth as he tried not to lash out at her, Ozai stepped away from her. All he could do was shake his head.

"Daddy, ple-"

"Don't 'daddy, please' me!" He snapped. "I raised you better than this, Kya! I put more into you than I have any of your siblings! Including that son of a bitch you're sleeping with! I'm not accepting anything! You stop fucking him or I swear to Agni you both will regret it!"

Kya looked at her father in tears, "Daddy…"

Ozai sucked his teeth and turned his back to her, "Get out, I can't stand to look at you!"

"But da-"

"GET OUT!"

The curtains caught fire and Kya got the picture that her father was not trying to be bothered at this moment in time. She knew she was asking a lot of him to accept this affair between her and Zuko but she needed him to approve of her and her decisions. She craved her father's acceptance. He was after all her favorite parent though she loved her mother dearly but her father raised her. She loved him like no other and wished she could make him proud but if she didn't…that was fine too.

…..

Zuko had just finished a meeting when he saw Kya enter with a three tier bento box while he was shuffling his paperwork around. He offered her a smile as she walked up to his desk and set the bento box down, leaning over to kiss him. Kissing her lips in return, the Fire Lord grinned as they parted and Kya started unpacking the bento box.

"I decided to cook you something since I think the kitchen staff aren't feeding you well enough." Kya told him.

Seeing the delicious food she prepared, "I can see you got your cooking skills from your mother."

"Hahaha," Kya rolled her eyes. "Let's not talk about my parents right now, can we?"

Watching Kya fix him a little plate and hand it to him with chopsticks, "Run into our father?"

Kya nodded, "I went to see him for his birthday."

"Shit, I forgot."

"Don't worry about it, he'd probably kill you on sight but anyways, he doesn't like that we're together and threatened me that there are consequences behind my actions. Our actions." Kya explained as she made herself a plate and ate with him.

Zuko shrugged his shoulders as he didn't care if their father threatened them. He had made up in his mind that he and Kya would be together. But he was thrilled that Kya didn't mention her mother. Zuko dreaded Katara discovering them. He knew he'd have to fight her without a doubt. Katara was more emotional about these sorts of things than his father, who just wanted to pretend like none of this was going on and deliver idle threats.

Not feeling too hungry, Kya decided to feed Zuko using her chopsticks and as she did, he grinned at her.

"I have some news." She began.

Chewing a mouth full of the food, "and that would be?"

"I'm pregnant."

Zuko choked immediately and had to fist his chest to unclog his throat as he stared bug eyed at Kya.

"I missed my cycle this month."

Clearing his throat, finally able to be able to speak, Zuko told her that was normal for some women.

Kya shook her head, "After having Jotaro, I'm much more fertile and have a constant cycle. I even checked to see if I was with child and I am, Zuko."

Zuko looked at her and sighed, "What are your plans?"

"I want to keep it." Kya tells him, worried how he would take it.

The water siren watched as he gradually placed his hand on her belly, "Then I hope for a girl."

Beaming at him in utter bliss, Kya kissed him repeatedly along his face and hugged him.

"We need to wait some time before telling anyone, got it? Especially your parents." Zuko told her as he patted her back.

Kya nodded, understanding their parents should be the last to know.

….

Having ignored her husband's attempt to seduce her into bed all to prevent her from seeing Kya, Katara finally had it to her daughter's estate and noticed Zuko had just flown away back to his palace. She loved the closeness between her daughter and Zuko. They had been close since Kya was a little girl and she was thankful that despite the family drama, their relationship didn't dwindle.

"Phoenix Queen Katara, your grace, please, right this way." One of the noble servants greeted her as she exited the pond she teleported from and bent the water out of her clothes.

Katara returned the greeting with a warm gesture and assured the servant she could find her daughter on her own. As she wandered off on her own, Katara heard her daughter playing with Jotaro in the gardens and hurried in that direction. Coming upon the two, Katara stood by and blissfully watched her daughter and grandson playing a game of chase. She really loved being able to enjoy little moments of life like this. It was peaceful and she desperately needed some peace with all the challenges she had been through. Continuing to watch them, the Phoenix Queen saw her daughter finally notice her and looked shocked.

"Mother." Kya said.

Smiling as she walked up to hug her daughter and then grandson, Katara took out a bracelet and took her daughter's wrist to put it on. "I came all this way to give you this. I made one for Mailan, Zhiar, Ryu, and Hiroshi as well as myself. I want all of you to share the same bracelet."

Retracting her arm to look at the bracelet as soon as it was fastened on, "Looks beautiful."

"I made it myself with crystals and beads I got from visiting your uncle in the South Pole. I figured with all of you so assimilated in the Fire Nation side of your parentage, I think you all need to appreciate the Water Tribe side." Katara expressed.

Chuckling at her mother as she watched the woman give Jotaro a bracelet too, "Well dad raised us mostly, it can't be helped that we identify more with Fire Nation culture."

"Your father should have brought you around my family more."

"He tried." Kya told her mother how he sent her away in the summer and winter to visit her grandfather and Uncle Sokka as well as her great-grandparents Master Pakku and Kanna.

Katara was happy to hear that at least one of her children spent some time with her family before her father's passing. As she finished snapping the bracelet on Jotaro, the waterbender stood up and pulled out her fan to cool herself down in the heat of Fire Nation summer. She never did like the summers of the Fire Nation. Much less pleasant than in Omashu.

Kya directed her mother over to the patio while some of the younger children that lived in the estate and were cousins to Jotaro came out to play with him. Taking their seats, Katara and Kya were brought out refreshments by the servants.

Watching her mother take a small cookie, "You didn't want the bigger cookie?"

"I need to watch my weight, Kya."

"That or you're pregnant." Kya said jokingly.

Katara averted her eyes. "Like I'd let your father ruin my figure anymore than he already has."

Snickering, "You have the perfect shape, mom. All the working out you do with training Ryu and Mailan has paid off."

Katara told her daughter how she and Ozai were just enjoying the children they had, the new cub tiger-dillo, and each other. No more children were needed even though they had considered it not too long ago.

"But I don't know how long it'll be till your father accidentally knocks me up. He's been rather 'needy' as of late. He even tried to seduce me as soon as I said I was coming here, can you believe him?"

Actually, Kya could. Her father was trying to keep them apart from each other so her mother wouldn't find out about her and Zuko.

"Anyways, I won't keep your father waiting. I know how bad of a mood he gets in when I deny him."

"Such a good wife." Kya teased her mother.

Katara got up and kissed her daughter's cheek, then went to chase her grandson down for a kiss.

Kya watched her mother tussle with Jotaro to make him kiss her before she left and laughed. She couldn't see her mother getting so furious with her over what was going on between her and Zuko. Her mother cared a lot about their family and wouldn't risk dividing it over something that was consensual on both sides. Her father was just angry and wanted to scare them. Once she and Zuko decided when a good time would be, she'd tell her mother everything.

…..

Ozai glared at his wife as she reentered their chamber with a perky grin on her face. He figured she didn't witness or discover anything about Zuko and Kya.

"Your daughter is pregnant." Katara said as she walked up to him and placed her hands on her hips.

Ozai's mouth dropped.

"And something tells me you know by whom, Ozai." Katara's eyes glowed as her light expression darkened with a scowl. "When the hell were you going to tell me Zuko was touching my daughter?!"

"Kat-"

"Don't 'Katara me', Ozai!" Katara shouted. "You think I'm dumb?! All of you think I'm just fucking stupid, don't you?!"

"Of course not, dear." Ozai tried to place his hands on her shoulder to calm her down.

All it took was seeing Zuko leave right before she showed up, touch Kya's wrist when she put the bracelet on, feeling her pulse, and then sensing dragon blood amongst the fetus to know the truth. How she figured out Ozai knew about it was the man had been getting in her way of going to see Kya for two weeks now. Something had definitely been up and he told her nothing. Katara was very keen about things. She had to be. Hardships and Atsou trained her to be that way. She was perceptive as Ozai was and there was nothing that got past her. Especially, not something like this.

"You fix this, Ozai. You fix this shit right now cause I'm not dealing with it! I have my own pregnancy to worry about. Not this freak show your sick fuck of a son has created with my daughter!"

"Pregnancy? You're pregnant too?" Ozai felt like he was going to faint. Why the hell was I having to deal with all this? Pregnant daughter, pregnant wife, he was just one man. What the hell did the gods want from him? Hadn't he proven himself enough by now?

Shoving her finger in his chest, "Fix. This. Shit. Now. Ozai!"

"I will. Just lay down or something." Ozai had his hand to his forehead, tempted to pull his hair out.

Katara brushed past him to do as he said since she was a little fatigued at the moment. She couldn't believe the discovery she made. Oh, she was going to kill Zuko. He was so dead. How dare that bastard lay a finger on her daughter. The child he helped raise when his father was in prison. The sickness that had to be in a person to dare touch their younger sister had to be foul because this was not supposed to ever happen. If Ozai didn't fix this, she would and it wouldn't be pretty.

Ozai made his way to the Fire Nation palace in his bird form and landed just outside the office of his son, chirping to get his attention. As soon as he saw his son look out the window, Ozai flew in and shapeshifted right on the floor of the office. He saw Zuko scowl at him and scoffed under his breath as he fixed his clothes a little.

"Katara knows." Ozai told Zuko as he continued straightening out his clothes.

"Then why isn't she here to kill me?" Zuko raised a brow in doubt.

Looking around the room for where Zuko kept his alcohol, Ozai grabbed a bottle and poured himself a glass. He drank the whole glass and poured another, drinking that down before pouring one more to turn and face his son.

"She's pregnant too."

"Oh," Zuko said plainly. "Well, great timing."

Sipping on the glass of fire whiskey, "Look here you little shit, this is how things are gonna go. You're going to leave my daughter, your sister, alone, got it? And you will never, I mean never touch her again, for as long as you two may or may not live depending on how Katara decides to handle this after she gives birth." Ozai told his son.

Zuko gave his father a disapproving look and sucked his teeth, "Kya is pregnant. I'm not going to be separated from the mother of my child a second time. That'll never hear me?!"

"You should have chosen someone else, Zuko! Not my fucking daughter!"

"Doesn't matter. You're not splitting me and Kya up! I don't give a flying fuck what you and Katara say!"

Ozai pinched the bridge of his nose and growled, "Look Zuko, If this was Mailan and she was of proper age, I wouldn't come down on you so hard. She's not blood but Kya is. You both come from my nutsack. This is fucked up. Surely, you can see that."

Zuko folded his arms, "She's my half sister. That should count for something."

"It only counts for the fact that your mother was a mega bitch and hers is a scary bitch." Ozai spat. "Now, I might be inclined to turn a blind eye on the account that you two are expecting as I quite honestly am over this whole situation. But Katara," Ozai shook his head. "She's going to have all our heads if I don't do something about this."

"She's your wife! Put her in her place! You've been getting bent over by her long enough! Stand up like a man and face her! What have you to be afraid of!" Zuko shouted at his father.

Suddenly veering off course from his original thought process, Ozai completely forgot that he was lecturing Zuko about his affair with Kya and now, realized Katara was trampling over him and undermining his authority in the family with her inability to accept things weren't always up to her.

"You know what, Zuko? You're absolutely right! That woman thinks she can demand of me whatever! Who does she think she is?!"

"Exactly! She's emasculating you!"

"She's making a mockery of me! I'll have to deal with her!"

As Ozai shapeshifted back into a bird and flew out of the office, Zuko smirked to himself and returned to his desk work.

Being shook from her sleep, Katara rubbed her eyes to see her husband glaring at her as she sat up. She sleepily raised a brow at her to figure out what he was so upset over.

"You're not my boss, woman!" Ozai raised his voice at her. "I will not allow you to have your way as you have had in recent! I am a man and it is my place to lead this family, not yours! You will obey me, woman!"

Katara tilted her head and folded her arms, "And what's gotten into you for you to suddenly come across the epiphany?"

It suddenly dawned on Ozai that Zuko just fucked with his head.

"Yeah, I thought so." Katara pulled Ozai's face to her and kissed his forehead. "Now, you go back and do as I have asked you, got it?"

Ozai nodded.

"Zuko is not fucking our daughter anymore, understood? So whatever you need to do to see that through, make it happen or I'm going to go ape shit on the both of you, got it?" Katara said sweetly as she caressed his face.

Ozai nodded again.

Kissing his jaw, "Good boy. I love you."

"I love you too, dear."

As Ozai walked away from his wife, he realized how much more terrifying she was than anyone he had ever met and he knew plenty of frightening women. Some of which were related to his wife.
