Lucy sighed.

It was a perfectly ordinary day, the sun was shining, the birds were tweeting, and everyone was as quiet and peaceful as they can be (i.e. Gray and Natsu were insulting one another in a corner). Lucy didn't need any money with her rent all paid for the month and there wasn't anything tempting on the request board for them to motivate them to do anything more than laze about the guild.

It was a nice, normal, day.

And Lucy was bored!

"Ah!" She sighed heavily as she slumped over the table. Her head rested heavily on her hand as she dug her elbow into the wooden table. I'm so bor-"

"NO!"

The sound of every single guild member suddenly screaming at her, startled Lucy so much that she fell out of her chair. "KYA!" Lucy screeched. "What was that all about?!"

"Lucy," Mira said in a deadly serious voice, "you must never say that you're…..you know! Never! Master has decreed it."

"W-w-what?!" Lucy stammered. "Why?!"

"Because, dude," Cana cried out exasperatedly, "the last time you said you were you know what, we were all suddenly sucked into a parallel world where an evil ego-maniac turned us into a giant ass crystal in order to fuel his kingdom."

"That was a coincidence!" Lucy protested. "I highly doubt that if I say I'm-"

"DON'T SAY IT!"

"I'm that!" Lucy corrected herself with an eye roll and a huff, "that the world would implode or something."

"I don't know, Lucy," Bickslow said seriously, "a load of screw up impossible stuff has happened since you arrived. I wouldn't be surprised if it did if you said THAT."

"Urgh!" Lucy groaned as she settled back in her seat. She slumped over the table completely and pressed her cheek against the table. "This sucks!"

"What's up, Luce?" Natsu asked in cheerful concern as he just noticed her gloominess. "Something the matter?"

"Not really" Lucy muttered, "I'm just so bored!"

BOOM!

The entire guild flinched and ducked as a hole suddenly exploded on their wall and suddenly the guild building was sieged by dark wizards.

"Listen up, Fairy Tail!" Particular scary, highly pierced, looking wizard sneered. "We're Midnight Wing and we're taking over in these parts."

"Goddamnit Lucy!" Cana slammed her glass against the bar as she stood up. "What did we just say?!"
