Weiss opened up the front door, seeing a lot of snow on the ground. "Wow, that blizzard really covered everything up." She said, drinking some hot chocolate. "Welp, time to see what's new in town." She said as she walked out after putting her mug in the sink and walked out.

"Morning Weiss." Blake greeted.

"Morning Blake." Weiss smiled as the two of them walked around town together.

"Some blizzard, huh?"

"Yeah, I knew we were getting hit but I didn't think we'd be getting a few inches." Weiss said, glancing over at some Toads having some Fire Type Pokemon unleashing their Fire moves to free them from getting snowed in and melting the snow on the sidewalks.

"Handy." Blake said as they walked around town where they would be hearing a commotion in the square. "What's going on?"

"Either something stupid happened or Peach got kidnapped again." Weiss guessed as they walked ahead to the square where they would see Laxus standing with his arms folded and Yang squared up.

"What's going on?" Blake asked.

"Oh, Yang thinks Laxus is past his prime so she thinks she can take him." Pyrrha said.

"…Yup, something stupid is happening." Weiss shook her head.

"Come on, Laxus! Kick her butt!" Nora cheered.

"You got this, Yang!" Ruby cheered.

"She's gonna lose…" Byleth said.

BGM: Lightning Flame Dragon Roaring (Fairy Tail)

Laxus's body crackled with electricity. "You said you wanted to go all out." Laxus said as Yang immediately went into Shin form with Laxus's whole body was covered in electricity.

"I'm going to lay you out, old man!" Yang said, getting in her stance while Laxus calmly still had his arms folded.

"Here I come!" Yang exclaimed, letting out a draconic roar as she lunged directly at Laxus. "HRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!"

POW!

*Record scratch*

Laxus had simply moved his arm and pounded her on the head, where she was already on the ground with a massive goose egg on her head, stars swirling around her head.

"Oooooh!" Everyone winced while Weiss facepalmed.

"WOOOO! THAT'S MY ANCESTOR!" Nora cheered.

"Aaaand now I understand completely why you lost to him in a spar." Aoi said.

"It was more than one second." Sakura responded.

"Soooo, two seconds?" Aoi teased, hearing a chuckle from Sakura and ruffled her hair.

"More than that."

"I was so close…" Yang groaned.

Laxus let out an amused smirk. "Heh, I can't believe I felt nostalgic over that. Reminds me when I did the same thing with Natsu." He knelt down and helped Yang up. "I suppose history tends to repeat itself."

"I guess…" Yang mumbled.

"Now where's that Scottish girl and the other boxer? I think they wanted another crack at me next." Laxus said, noticing two blinking outlines. "Hmm?"

Nearby…

"No way I'm gonnae go for that after what happened with Yang!" Gloria said.

"Well, the two of us had signed up after Yang, we gotta think of something!" Tifa added.

"…Rock paper scissors? Loser takes that lad on next."

"Sure."

The two of them started pounding their hands together, as Gloria would go for rock and Tifa went with scissors. "Sweet!" Gloria fist pumped as Tifa grimaced.

"Um… best two out of three…?" She sweatdropped.

Meanwhile, at Peach's Castle…

BGM: Peach's Castle (Fortune Street)

"Hmhmhmhm…" Toadsworth hummed as he walked through the castle. "Oh your majesty, time to wake up!" He said, knocking on the door. "You don't usually sleep in so rise and shine!"

There was no answer.

Toadsworth chuckled. "Well, I suppose I'll wake her up myself." He said and then opened up the door, walking inside. "Oh princess! Rise and shine! It's time for another big day and-" He stopped, noticing the empty bed. He would also see the balcony door opened up, but when he looked outside, Peach was not there.

"Strange, she's not here… maybe she's in the shower or- hey, wait a minute, she always closes the balcony door behind her!" He said as it would soon dawn on him. "…Oh no… oh no no no no…"

Back at the square…

"Tag teaming, huh?" Laxus chuckled, seeing Mario and Daisy raring to go. "Very well, let's begin."

"Let's-a go!" Mario exclaimed.

"Ready to kick your ass!" Daisy smirked.

"AIYEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!" Toadsworth yelled had echoed outside of Peach's Castle.

"…I know that scream anywhere." Ruby said as she immediately ran off toward the castle as WBY, the Mario Bros, Daisy, JNPR, and Byleth ran off. Laxus simply walked after them.

Toadsworth was already seeking fuzz therapy from his Stoutland, and then saw everyone running in. "Did Peach get kidnapped again?" Ruby asked.

"Yes! That brute kidnapped her in the middle of the night!"

"In the middle of the blizzard? Dang, he didn't care…" Yang said.

Mario tipped his cap. "Then let's-a go save her!"

"So, are we taking the shortcut or-"

"Are you kiddin'?" Daisy interrupted Weiss. "It's not as fun taking the shortcut. I'm gonna make Bowser dread that I'm comin' for him." She cracked her knuckles with a chuckle.

"I could use a workout." Ruby said.

"Welp, I guess we're going the long way." Weiss chuckled.

"Feel the burn in our thighs, let's do this!" Nora grinned, high fiving Yang.

"Don't you guys get a team together for this sort of thing?" Byleth asked.

"Dang straight! We're going against the Koopa Troop, they're gonna be throwing everything at us!" Ruby said.

"Wonder who we're gonna bring along this time…" Luigi wondered.

"We'll ask around. Let's go!" Ruby said.

Later…

"Boys!" Sarge pumped his shotgun. "Today is a good day to knock down that scaly bastard!"

"Woo! Ibuki's ready to roll!" Ibuki exclaimed, holding her guitar.

"It feels like a nice change of pace to start an adventure and not join at the tail end of it." Chiaki smiled.

"I'm not usually interested in fighting Bowser, but I suppose I could lend a hand." Cloud said as Tifa, Aerith, Yuffie, Barret and Red were ready to go.

"Let's do this, hon!" Dorothea said, holding Byleth's hand.

"Yeah." Byleth nodded with a smile.

"We picked a good day to come back from digging up treasure from our world." Shovel Knight said with Shield Knight nodding.

Heavenly lights appeared as Pit descended with Dark Pit. "Mind if we tag along?" Pit grinned.

"Just to let you know, he dragged me here against my will." Dark Pit mumbled.

"We're ready to go!" Jade said with INXY nodding.

"Got room for me?" Umber grinned.

"I suppose I can lend a hand." Rosalina said.

"Count us in!" Summer grinned.

"I'm coming too." Maia said, now sporting a new look consisting of a loosely tucked in ivory white collared shirt underneath an olive green military-style jacket with rolled-up sleeves, a pair of damaged dark blue skinny denim pants with a black leather belt, and a pair of black leather punk-style combat boots with silver buckle straps. She also wears a velvet scarf around her neck, a pair of black aviator sunglasses with dark green tinted lenses on top of her head, and a pink velvet silicone wristband on her left wrist with the phrase "LIVE LIKE IT'S SPRING" printed along its length together with a black analog wrist watch. She also had a half braided hair style.

"Count me in." Gloria smirked.

"Well, I suppose I'll tag along. See how you guys handle things." Laxus said.

"You guys are going on an adventure?" A voice asked as Lea walked up along with Xion, Ven and Isa.

"Yeah, you want to tag along?" Ruby asked.

Lea grinned. "Why not!"

"Ven's tagging along this time?" Blake asked.

"Yeah, Roxas did it last time… and besides, he's out on a date with Namine so it's all good." Ven explained.

"I suppose I'll come too." Isa nodded.

"Great, that's perfect!" Ruby said. "Now let's go get our pink princess back!"

"Let's-a go!" Mario exclaimed as they all took off, unaware of the armadillo faunus spotting them take off. He tilted his head and curiously followed them.

World 1-1: A New Adventure Unfolds!

BGM: Overworld (Super Mario 3D Land)

Everyone walked ahead, looking around and admiring the scenery as a few Cheep Cheeps breached the surface over a tightrope. "Ah, smell that adventurous air!" Ruby smiled.

"Let's see what awaits us!" Yang grinned as they walked ahead. Some of them walked across the bridge, some of them decided to walk over the water, and some of them decided to walk on the tightrope. Blake, meanwhile, snagged herself a Cheep Cheep because it looked too appetizing for her to resist.

"Wahoo!" Yuffie jumped off the tight rope, joined by Caboose, Gloria, Ibuki and Chiaki. The latter waited as a Cheep Cheep jumped over between her and Ibuki… however, the Cheep Cheep looked incredibly dark and bony. Once it hit the water, Chiaki walked across before she stopped.

"Huh?" Chiaki turned her head and rubbed her eyes, seeing a regular Cheep Cheep swim by. I could've sworn I saw a Grimm Cheep Cheep… must've been my imagination. She thought as she turned around and walked off, where the Grimm Cheep Cheep poked its head out of the water.

"Was that a good snack?" Weiss teased.

"You know it." Blake smiled as Mario hit a ? Block as four Tanooki leaves popped out. Mario and Luigi eagerly took the Tanooki Leaves as Gloria snagged one herself, as one was caught in a small breeze and smacked Cloud in the face, where he donned a Tanooki suit.

"…Please tell me I don't have a ridiculous costume." Cloud groaned.

"Better you than me." Dark Pit mumbled as Cloud looked down and saw he was wearing a Moogle styled Tanooki suit.

"Gross."

"Oh, you look so adorable!" Tifa gushed as Aerith had hearts over her eyes.

"I don't want to look adorable!" Cloud argued, blushing a deep red as Yuffie snapped a photo. "Yuffie, delete that photo!"

"Make me~!" Yuffie grinned, tossing it over to Barret.

"Hahaha! Looking good, Cloud!" Barret said.

"What he said!" Lea added while Xion snickered, Ven looked at him in awe while Isa let out a chuckle.

"Could be worse. It could've been my skin." Red said.

Gloria, meanwhile, absorbed the Tanooki Suit as her hair went black and white, as black diagonal stripes appeared over her eyes as she also had black lipstick on. She had a black and white fur coat over her white shirt, she also wore black leggings with white boots on. "OBSTAAAAAAAAAAA!" She cried.

"Sweet, she's turned into an Obstagoon!" Umber said.

"Ibuki was thinking more of a genderbent Gene Simmons." Ibuki said.

"Of course you'd go there." Chiaki giggled.

"Oh my god, I can see it." Grif said.

"Really? I don't." Epsilon responded.

"Seriously? You don't? It's right there!" Tucker said.

"Still don't see it."

"I feel like a punk! Oooh, is this how Marn feels?" Gloria wondered.

"I doubt it." Umber rolled his eyes.

"Seriously, Cloud, you look cute." Aerith said.

"I don't want to look cute." Cloud mumbled. "Ugh, the only saving grace is the fact that Sephiroth isn't seeing me like this."

Nearby, on a blocky platform, Sephiroth snapped a picture of Cloud. "Heh… that's a good look for him." He said as he flew off.

Though I feel like he just did. Cloud thought as they walked off, climbing up some moving platforms while Raven went through a passageway out of curiosity and came out of the other side with a 1-Up in her hands.

"Hmm, I'll save this for later." Raven said, putting it away as Byleth kicked away a few Goombas that were coming for her, as Dorothea launched away one with a simple fireball, then they went through a tunnel where a Tailed Goomba floated over to them.

"Huh, I guess they're learning how to use power ups against us." Weiss said as the Tailed Goomba tried to swipe them on his way down, only to get headbutted by Gloria.

"Not quick enough!"

"I would ask if that hurt but knowing you, it probably didn't." Tifa chuckled as they walked through, while Luigi struck a brick block with his tail, and out popped a wheel.

"Hmm?" Luigi wondered as he decided to spin around and struck the wheel repeatedly, rising to the top of the tunnel. "Ooooh!" Luigi groaned as he got dizzy from it but shook it off as he hammered away at a few snow covered boxes that released coins. After he picked them up, he took a running start and jumped off a platform… only it was covered in ice as he slipped off. "WAAAAAAAAAH!"

THUD!

"I'm okay!" Luigi groaned.

"Are you alright?" Rosalina asked.

"Yeah, I'm fine… the snow broke my fall." Luigi chuckled as he brushed himself off.

"Ice?" Daisy guessed.

"Bingo."

"Yeah, that'll do it." Daisy nodded, then Mario had gently descended to the ground as he had decided to follow Luigi's footsteps, minus the falling into the snow.

"Show off…" Luigi mumbled with a chuckle and then they walked ahead, as Ruby looked through a pair of binoculars.

"Oh, sweet, we're doing flagpoles again! I missed those…" Ruby said.

"Well, yeah, because we take the shortcut to the Koopa Kingdom." Weiss pointed out.

"Good point."

Dorothea let out a gasp. "Is that a musical block? Oh, it's meant for me!" She said as she jumped up as the Note Block sprang up. "Wooo~!"

"Haven't seen those in a while." Blake mused as they walked underneath while JINXY and Nora decided to join Dorothea.

However, for those who went underneath, they would come into contact with a Big Tailed Goomba, but it was also a Grimm as well. "What the heck?" Jaune wondered.

"It seems as if a few of the Koopa Troop decided to Grimm-ify themselves." Ren said. "Either that or Salem's getting creative."

"I don't think she knows about the Koopa Troop's minions…" Summer rubbed her chin.

The Big Tailed Goomba turned toward them, having a skeletal shaped head with red eyes and sharper fangs protuding out of its mouth. "Okay, would this be a bad time to mention that I could've sworn I've seen a Grimm Cheep Cheep?" Chiaki pointed out.

"You have?" Ibuki asked.

"Yeah… though I could've been imagining things." Chiaki said, rubbing her head.

"Either way… we've got a Grimm to take down." Byleth pulled out her Sword of the Creator.

The Goomba Grimm lunged ahead, ready to snack on them, but Dorothea landed on top of him, along with JINXY and Nora, immediately crushing it and it swiftly faded away. "Aww, so much for the makeshift landing pad." Nora pouted.

"Wonder where that came from…" Nyx wondered.

"Well, it's dead, so nothing to worry about." Iris said as they walked off as they climbed up the block stairs as Mario ran up and snagged the top of the flagpole.

"Wahoo!" Mario cheered, high fiving Luigi and Ruby, then they would see a Warp Pipe as they would all go in.

"…Don't pipes lead to sewers?" Maia wondered.

"Yeah, but this one's fine." Raven said as she went inside.

"Okay, if you say so." Maia went in after her.

World 1-2: Ink Me Up!

BGM: Underground (Super Mario 3D Land)

Everyone hopped out of the Warp Pipe as they were immediately greeted by a swing spike that swung through. "Huh, so soon?" Yang wondered.

"Mixing things up a little, I like that." Weiss said as they walked around it, though Rosalina simply telekinetically stopped it as they walked ahead and came across a few ? Blocks as one of them contained a few Fire Flowers.

Cloud immediately saw one and dove for it, but Chiaki, Tifa, Rosalina and Mario snagged them instead. Oh come on! He thought as Chiaki gained red highlights in her hair as her outfit turned red and white with Podoboos painted on her shirt, Tifa's gloves turned orange while her shirt gained fire patterns and Rosalina donned a ponytail.

"How do I look?" Rosalina asked.

"Simply amazing." Tai smiled, causing Rosalina to giggle.

"You picked a good one." Qrow playfully elbowed him as they walked ahead where they would come across an Inky Piranha Plant.

"A Grimm Plant?" Pit asked as the Piranha Plant spat out ink, causing Pit to dodge as Dark Pit got hit with it, much to his dismay.

"…Nope, it's just a Piranha Plant that spits ink." Dark Pit mumbled, wiping it off of his face as they walked away from it, though Cloud stayed behind.

"Here, bite into my arm. I want this ridiculous thing off of me." Cloud said as the Inky Piranha Plant looked at him… before spitting ink into his face. An angry tic mark appeared on his forehead while the Piranha Plant snickered mischieviously. "Why do I even bother…" He grumbled as he walked off, wiping the ink off of his face as they walked through the rotating platform as Laxus knocked down a few Goomba Towers without much effort.

"Strength in numbers, huh." Laxus chuckled as they walked into the next room as Tifa and Chiaki threw fireballs at the Koopas wandering around as Sarge took care of the Goombas.

"Okay, one swinging spike, I can understand, but over a bridge… WITH THREE OF THEM?!" Grif yelled as he was staring at what was up ahead in disbelief.

"And with those Piranha Plants ready to shoot ink at you." Simmons said.

"…That's bullshit! We're in the second area for crying out loud!"

"Aww, but where's the fun in that?" Ibuki chuckled.

"Get walkin'!" Sarge pushed him ahead, where he was nearly knocked into the abyss by a swing spike. Grif gulped as he waited, only to see that the spikes stopped swinging in mid-air.

"Oh thank god." Grif sighed with relief.

Should we tell him? Xena thought, secretly holding the swing spikes in place.

"Naaaah. Won't be much fun."

Grif walked through the bridge. "Well, this will be a piece of-" An Inky Piranha Plant spat out ink onto the bridge, right where Grif was about to walk. "-CAAAAAAKE!" He slipped as he fell off the bridge. "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!"

"GRIF!" Simmons yelled.

"Huzzah, Grif is dead!" Sarge exclaimed.

SPLASH!

"Blegh! Sewer water…"

"Ewww…" Weiss grimaced.

"Drat!" Sarge mumbled.

"Is this normal for them?" Maia asked.

"Yes." Raven nodded.

"Oh brother." Chiaki rolled her eyes as they walked through while Ruby shot down the Piranha Plants without even looking, as they would go through the Warp Pipe shortly after, emerging near the flag pole while another Warp Pipe came up as Grif crawled out of it, soaking wet and a Huckit Crab was latched onto his arm.

"How was the dip in the water?" Sarge asked.

"Horrible." Grif said, shaking the Huckit Crab off of him as they watched Ruby take the flagpole.

"Got it~!" Ruby smiled as she jumped down, then they spotted a Warp Box in front of them as they would go inside, but a Mystery Box popped up nearby where Byleth had spotted it.

"Hmm?" Byleth wondered as she walked into it, and found herself in a small contained room that had a Fire Flower next to two Goomba standees. Byleth blinked, tilting her head as she looked behind them to see if there was an ambush waiting for her, but nothing would come out to surprise her.

"Hmm…" Byleth shrugged it off, taking the free Fire Flower as her hair was turned into a braid, said braid turning bright orange as her tank top turned red with a few fireballs decorating it and her gloves turned red as well. Her Sword of the Creator glowed a bright aura as she swiftly cut through the Goomba standees, and once she did, coins rained down along with a 1-Up.

"Odd…" She shrugged as she took the 1-Up and put it in her pocket, then the Mystery Box spat her out into the next area.

World 1-3: Descending the Waterfalls

BGM: Overworld (Super Mario 3D Land)

"My goodness, you can see it all from up here!" Daisy said, looking through binoculars and saw Piranha Plants, Biddy Buds and Para-Biddy Buds going about their day while everyone else walked down. Pyrrha waved at a few Biddy Buds, Barret destroyed a Piranha Plant before Cloud could have the chance to get the Moogle Suit off of him, Chiaki gave a Biddy Bud some head pats and Pit looked over at a waterfall with Ruby.

Daisy looked up toward the sky, where she spotted a UFO flying by. "What the…?" She wondered as she saw it move by. "I swear, if that's Tatanga, so help me…" She growled, as the UFO would fly off into space. "Yeah, keep flying, asshole."

She moved away from the binoculars and walked down with a hum as they would approach a Directional Platform where Ibuki and STRQ had used earlier. Laxus took one look at it as JNPR got on it and moved across. Nope. Laxus thought as he converted his body into electricity and move through the gap on his own terms, rematerializing as himself a moment later.

A Fire Piranha Plant spat out fire at STRQ, but they avoided the fireballs easily as Raven cut it down without much of an issue, while Ibuki found a rainbow note block as she eagerly jumped up on it and launched up in the air, finding herself on the clouds as she hit a ? Block and an Invincibility Star came out of it.

Ibuki grinned. "Sorry, Biddybuds, but Ibuki's lookin' for a high score here!" She said, grabbing it as she took a running start and blazed through the clouds, running over the Biddy Buds and jumping up to knock out the Para Biddy Buds as she would see the end up ahead. She would proceed to do a few front flips before vaulting off the clouds.

Down below, a Grimmified Biddy Bud meandered around, until it was swiftly annihilated by Ibuki. "Woo! And she sticks the landing~!" She said as a 1-Up appeared in her hand. She happily put it away and looked down to see the flagpole down below. She smirked and took a step back, and then before Shovel Knight and Shield Knight could jump over the gap, Ibuki ran off and launched herself off the platform.

"Did she just…?" Shield Knight wondered.

"I believe there's a saying about that maiden… something about "It's her, don't question it" or something to that extent."

"Fair enough."

Shovel Knight dug up a rock before jumping over and pounding it with his shovel until jewels and a few coins popped out. "Ah!" He picked up a few of them while Shield Knight took the rest. "After you, m'lady."

"My pleasure." Shield Knight threw her shield out as she ran over, jumped across and landed on her shield for an extra platform. Shovel Knight followed suit and landed next to her as her shield returned to her.

As for Ibuki, she was still free falling before she reached down and grabbed a hold of the flagpole, grabbing the top of it as she did a spinninng flip before landing on the ground. "And that's how you do it with style!" Ibuki cheered as the others approached her.

"Seems like you had a lot of fun." Chiaki said.

"Uh, no doy!" Ibuki giggled.

"…Wait a second, where's Cloud?" Pyrrha asked.

"You might want to look up." Yuffie said, looking through a pair of binoculars to see him slowly descending while his Moogle Wings flapped rapidly.

"He's flying!" Ruby said.

"He's falling." Red said.

"With style." Yang added.

"I'd say… more like a drunken Chocobo." Yuffie said.

"Oooh, that's bad…" Mario grimaced.

"Hah… hah… why couldn't I just get a damned Fire Flower…" Cloud grumbled as he tuckered himself out and started to fall, but Rosalina telekinetically grabbed a hold of him and brought him over to the others. "Thanks."

"You're worse than Pit." Dark Pit said as he walked off.

"…I'm not sure if I should take that as a compliment." Pit said as he walked after him. "Not to mention you're just as bad as I am!"

"Don't care!"

"It's gonna be a long journey, I can just tell…" Cloud grumbled as they walked off, all of them still unaware of the armadillo faunus following them after he gently descended to the ground.

Ibuki: Woo! New adventure starring Ibuki! Hell yeah!

Indeed, a new adventure awaits!
