Peter made it inside F.E.A.S.T. and everything seemed normal enough with Li gone and he strolled into the kitchen to find MJ and May in there chopping vegetables.

"So, while you're doing Mr. Li's job, who's doing your old one?" Peter asked May.

"Me. But I could always use more help." May told him and gestured over to a box of supplies that need moving and Peter voluntarily picked it up. And thanks to his superpowers, it felt like lifting nothing. "Know anyone?"

"Actually, I might have a few." Peter said honestly, hoping maybe this is as good of a chance as any to give his idea. "Miles Morales and Ashley Barton."

"Why do those names sound familiar?" May questioned.

"Their fathers were being honored at City Hall." Peter explained. "Miles lost his father, and Ashley lost her mother."

"Oh..." May remembers now.

"I saw Miles at the funeral, he's having a tough time. And Ashley was putting on a brave face, but I saw how it was killing her inside." Peter sighed.

"I knew a boy like that once." May commented with a smile towards Peter.

"I remember when my father and brother were gone, I had my friends to help me. And when my world fell apart for the second time, F.E.A.S.T. helped me. It's still helping me. With my mom's trial coming up, it helps to remember I'm doing good here." Peter said as he looked around the shelter. "It might help them." He then reached in and took out a paper with two numbers on it. "This is their parents numbers."

May took the paper with a smile. "I'll give them a call."

Peter was about to head up to Li's office when he turned back to May. "Have you heard from Li recently?"

"No, why?" May wondered.

"No reason." Peter shrugged and looked around. "Uh, my dad's expecting me home early tonight, so I gotta catch a train back but I've got about an hour. I'll see if there's anything I can do around here."

"Oh, you don't have to." May told him.

"I know. I want to." Peter shrugged and walked off, followed by MJ.

"Hey, so does Walter still not know about all of this?" MJ wondered.

"No, of course not. If he knew, he'd try and talk me out of fighting criminals as therapy." Peter told her jokingly.

"As therapy?" MJ questioned.

"Okay, not technically, but you get what I'm saying." Peter said and they made their way to Li's office.

"What are you hoping to find here?" MJ wonders.

"Anything about what he's planning." Peter said and went to open the door and it was locked. "Great."

"Why not just beak it down?" MJ questioned.

"I don't want to draw unwanted attention." Peter said before seeing an air vent. "Hang on, let me try something." He quickly looked around and saw nobody was around before leaping and sneaking inside the air vet.

"He makes that look easy." MJ commented and kept watch.

Peter crawled through the vents using his powers to pull himself forward before noticing a room through the vents.

"Huh, never seen this room before." Peter commented, wondering what's in there.

He then tried to follow the way towards the office again, when he stumbled across high voltage wires. He instantly used his newly developed electric web to short-circuit the wires and move on. 'Why would this much power be needed in the vents?' he asked himself. 'Probably to keep something or someone, away from something here.'

He finally dropped into Li's office and looked around. He then checked the area of the shrine, where a picture of Li's parents was. "The room I saw was over in this area. I'll bet it's on the other side of that shrine." He then looked around concussed. "Why am I constantly talking to myself? I gotta stop doing that, or people might think I'm crazy."

He then looked around the office and checked the drawers under Li's desk and found his journal. There was a bookmark in a page, and he opened it. Inside was a key that was hidden inside of the book. 'Hey, wasn't there a keyhole in that shrine?' he thought.

Peter took the key and went back over to the shrine, but before he reached the shrine, he saw something that made him stop in his tracks.

He looked to the nearby counter and saw a picture of a creature whose face had a striking resemblance to one of the Demon masks he had been encountering. Then he saw the Yin and Yang logo on the opposite page. Then it all started to click for him.

"This is the ghost story that Martin's dad read to him as a kid. It involved a Demon that could only be mastered through balance." Peter said to himself, as he observed the book.

Could this be why Martin Li is doing what he's doing? Balancing helping people with F.E.A.S.T. and committing all of these terrible crimes. There has to be an explanation to why he's doing this.

He then proceeded to the shrine and inserted the key. The picture swung aside, like a door and revealed a strange puzzle. 'All I have to do is solve this puzzle and it'll open.' Peter thought to himself.

The puzzle consisted of one big circle split in half with one side colored black and the other side colored white. Underneath the big circle, there were three little circles. One circle was black and white, just like the big circle, the one on the left was black and the one on the right was white.

"Or just do this." Peter thought and grabbed one end of the shrine and used his super strength to rip off the lock and open the secret room.

Yeah, that's much easier.

"What are you hiding, Li?" Peter asked as he looked around and saw serval dozen newspaper articles about everything that Oscorp and Norman Osborn has done.

Peter continued to look around and noticed a sword that was glowing on the counter. "Li's giving his powers to the others. This is crazy!"

He then looked at the pictures on the wall. Each one of them did in fact involve Norman Osborn. His hunch seemed to be correct. For something was up with him and the Mayor of Starling City.

He was so focused on the pictures that he didn't realize there was a desk right in front of him. That is, until he ran right into it. "Whoops, hey...wait a minute." he said as his eyes focused on a file with a name attached.

Project : Devils Breath

"Devils Breath?" Peter recognized that as the project that they attacked Oscorp for when he met Anya. Peter quickly picked it up and looked inside to see the map inside. "This may help figure out what Li's planning next."

Peter closed the folder and took a step back when out of the blue, his spider-sense started to tingle, just as a spark appeared out of the corner of his eye.

Thinking quickly, Peter jumped up and stuck to the ceiling, just as the floor and the wire on the walls were engulfed in sparks.

"A burn room to destroy evidence." Peter concluded as he observed the scene. He had to get out of this place, now. But the door to the office is locked.

Peter observed the area and found a power box that seemed to be powering the entire burn system. He shot electric webs at it and instantly the sparks were gone.

He didn't even want to think about what would happen if the police or May discovered this place first as he looked down and sighed at the thought. 'Woah, what a stroke of luck!' he thought as he saw a trap door in the floor near the entrance.

Peter then looked around for a way out of this place. He then noticed a door that was behind a piece of furniture on the other side of the room. He walked there, concealed the folder into his bag on his back and moved the piece of furniture out of the way, before opening the door.

'What a relief.' Peter thought to himself.

"Hello Peter." said a voice behind him. Peter spun around and came face-to-face with non-other than Martin Li.

"Well shit." Peter thought to himself. "Mr. Li...I thought you were out of town."

Li walked up to him, with a knowing look upon his face, and even though they were in a public place, Peter kept himself alert.

"Did you find what you were looking for?" Li asked, with a little bit of a strict tone of voice.

"Martin, you're back!" May's voice came before Peter had a chance to reply. She was coming from the laundry room with MJ close behind her.

Once MJ saw Li standing in front of Peter, her eyes widened, and she quickened her pace and stood next to him.

"And heading off again shortly, I'm afraid." Li said with a smile as he looked towards May. "Just needed a few things from my office."

"You must've heard about City Hall." May said with a sad look on her face. Peter and MJ on the other hand had wary faces locked straight onto Li. Peter could feel MJ tightly grasping his hand beside him, and he squeezed back in comfort.

"Yes. Tragic." Li said.

"Peter and MJ were there. They were very lucky." May said, placing a hand on Peter's shoulder.

"At an Osborn rally?" Li said with a bit of surprise. "I didn't know you were fans." he added with slight displeasure in his voice. "Well, what matters is you're all safe."

"Amen." May said sincerely.

"The bombers are still out there. Who knows what they've planned next." Peter said, narrowing his eyes slightly at Li.

"I don't think you, MJ, or May have anything to worry about." Li said. But then he put on a more serious face as he gazed in Peter's direction. "As long as you stay away from places you're not supposed to be."

The tension was definitely rising after that comment. Or at least to Peter and MJ it was. "Well, I'd better go." Li said before walking off.

"When will you be back?" May asked.

"When my work is done." Li simply replied.

With that, he turned and walked into the direction of his office. Peter and MJ glanced at each other, and they knew exactly what the other was wanting to say to the other.

"Well, I better get back to it then." May said gleefully, walking off.

"What did you find in there?" MJ asked as they headed to a more secure area of the shelter.

"Li had a file on that Devils Breath stuff." Peter said and showed it to her. "It might help us with where he's going."

"Let's hope so." MJ said and noticed the time. "You better get going before Walter gets suspicious."

"Yeah, you're right." Peter agreed and quickly raced to change and make it home.

Peter made it outside and swung his way home as he made a quick call to Yuri.

"Detective Watanabe."

"Your evidence is in the F.E.A.S.T. Center near the Glades." Peter said as he focused on not getting hit by trucks and cars. "You're gonna find a nice lady named May Parker, and some stuff hidden within Li's office. He's planning another attack."

"Where? When?" Yuri questioned.

"Still working on it. But I know he's going after something called Devils Breath, something that Oscorp is developing. Probably a bioweapon. I have a file on it, I'll send you and Lance a copy when I get the chance." Peter promised as he focused on not getting run over.

"Okay, but if you're wrong about this evidence, you're helping me find a new job." Yuri warns him as Peter swings out of town and finally makes it home.

Seeing that Walter was home, Peter knew he couldn't just sneak inside wearing his Spider-Man suit and he didn't have a change of clothes, so he just went up and climbed the side of his home and opened his window, happy for the broken lock that happened due to the attack from Prowler.

Yeah, even though the universal rewrite fixed the gigantic hole that was left in the side of his house, there were a few anomalies that were left behind after the reboot.

He quickly sneaked inside and crawled up the ceiling and closed the window with his foot, he then pulled off his mask and crawled over the roof as he tried his best to not make any noise to not alert Walter.

Peter shot out a web and slowly closed the door to his room with a web and broke off the roof slowly as he removed the gloves and tossed them on the nearby desk, along with the file and sighed in relief as he saw he's safe.

That is until he turned around and was face to face with an extremely shocked Anya Corazon standing in the middle of the room.

Walter was downstairs and reading the Daily Bugle paper when he heard Anya's cry all throughout the house.

"WHAT THE FUCK?!"

Walter jumped at that and looked up the stairway in shock as to wondering what happened.

"Shh!" Peter quickly tried to quiet her to not alert Walter. "Anya, shh! It's okay."

"Oh my god! Oh, my god! You're Spider-Man." Anya cried in shock.

Peter quickly grabbed a jacket and threw it on to cover up the suit. "No, I'm not! This is just a costume!"

"You were just on the ceiling!" Anya pointed to the said ceiling.

"Anya, what are you doing here?!" Peter questioned.

"Your dad let me in, I thought we were studying tonight." Anya reminded him and Peter smacked himself for not remembering that.

Just as he thinks things couldn't get any worse, the door opens, and they both see a very confused Walter.

"Everything all right?" Walter asked the two kids.

"Yeah! Uh...Anya just saw a..." Peter tried to think of a good lie.

"Spider." Anya stated, and neither could tell if she was still spaced out or not.

"Yeah. A...big spider." Peter tried his best to make it sound convincing. "The window was open...it just crawled in. Gave her a scare."

"Oh, well...okay." Walter guesses and notices Peter's red boots which he did his best to cover up. He decided to leave it alone and let them be.

Peter stood still and waited a few seconds and listened to Walter's retracting steps before turning back to Anya who finally snapped out of it.

"Wait, he doesn't know?" Anya asked Peter.

"Nobody knows!" Peter informed her. "Well, MJ knows, because I saved her with my powers, and she designed my suit. And also my mom because I needed to talk with her about this."

"So, wait, that day back in Oscorp, that was you?!" Anya asked in shock.

"Yes. That was me." Peter confirmed, knowing this was the beginning of a very long, and very confusing conversation.
