"Oooooow…" Grif groaned. "I'm okaaaaaay…"
"Drat!"
"Ooof… that's gonna do a number on my spine…" Grif mumbled.
"LOOK OUT BELOOOOOW!"
"Huh?" Grif looked up. "WAIT WAIT WAIT! NOT ALL AT ONCE!"
THUD!
Weiss was the last one to come down, slowing her descent with gravity glyphs as everyone else got off of the massive dog pile.
"Thanks for breaking my fall!" Sarge said.
"You… you owe me a new spine, asshole…" Grif groaned.
"What was that?"
"You owe me a new spine, asshole SIR."
"That's more like it!"
"So, where are we now?" Simmons asked.
"Inside a cave, by the looks of it." Sarge said.
"Gee! Thank you, captain obvious!" Grif rolled his eyes.
"Well, we might as well-a see what this cave holds!" Mario said as they all nodded.
World 5-4 - Impromptu Spelunking
The group crawled through some small spaces as they popped up at the other side, spotting some friendly Morty Moles going about their day, as even a few Monty Moles popped out of the ground and waved at the heroes.
"At least they're the friendly ones." Ruby said as they hopped down a ledge, only to see they have to turn around after coming across a solid wall. They had to crawl their way through before hopping down and turned around, walking past some Morty Moles before a few of them decided to go through a hole in the wall that had them go around the Moles.
"Hmm?" Byleth spotted a hole in the wall just on a lower level. She hopped down to investigate and came out with another 1-Up. "Sweet." She said as she put it away and then headed off to catch up with the others as a few Grimm Monty Moles popped up out of the ground and started throwing rocks at the group.
"Oh, it's gonna be like that, is it?" Nora glared, jumping over and started swinging her hammer down to try and hit the Monty Moles, but they were too fast as one of them actually blew a raspberry behind her. "Oh, you little!"
"That's the first time I've ever seen a Grimm tease someone." Yang said as Laxus simply fired lightning bolts through the holes in the ground to send the Grimm Monty Moles into the air, then Nora jumped up and swung her hammer, hitting the Grimm and sending them into a wall where they disintegrated upon contact.
"Good riddance to 'em!" Nora said as they walked further along until they saw a massive hole in the ground.
"We're not going down there, are we?" Grif asked.
"Do you see another way through?" Sarge asked.
"…No."
"Then get to jumping!" Sarge hopped down as everyone else did so, but Nora accidentally hit an invisible block.
"Ow!" She winced as a coin fell in front of her. She picked it up while rubbing her head, and then looked at the other side of the hole. Hmm… She headed over to the other side and raised her fist up as a 1-Up popped out of the other Invisible Block. "Aha, niiiiice!" She grinned, taking it for herself and hopped down where she landed in the water as some Monty Moles were swimming around to their hearts content while some Morty Moles were having a slap fight with their Grimm counterparts.
"Should we do something?" Blake asked, as one Morty Mole slapped its Grimm counterpart hard enough to make it fall on its back.
"I think they have it covered." Carmen responded with a chuckle as they walked around them, then they would climb over a few ledges and crawled through some spaces while they witnessed a rock throwing war between the Monty Moles and their Grimm counterparts, they would find a group of pipes in a row where there were also a golden rock that caught the Knights' attention.
"Which one's the real one?" Daisy asked, rubbing her head.
"Hmm…" Luigi hopped on one Warp Pipe and went inside, and popped out of the other on the far end. "Nope, not that one!"
"I think if memory serves… I believe it's this one." Chiaki said, hopping in the second Warp Pipe on the right, and they would see that she didn't pop out of any other pipe.
"That's the one!" Ibuki smiled as she hopped in as one by one, everyone hopped into the Warp Pipe, although Shield Knight picked up the golden boulder.
"Hmm… I wonder what would happen if I put this in any of the other pipes…" She wondered.
"Perhaps treasure will pop out!" Shovel Knight guessed as Shield Knight dropped it in, and then a 1-Up popped out in another Warp Pipe.
"Well, it's a treasure at least." Shield Knight said, taking it and storing it as they hopped into the Warp Pipe and found themselves outside of the cave, and spotted a Galaga flag on the flagpole.

"Still got it." Chiaki smiled, as Ibuki had her arm wrapped around her for a side hug, then they walked off where they would see the next area up ahead, which had mushroom platforms up high enough that they couldn't be reached by normal means.
World 5-5: Propel Yourself Upward
BGM: Overworld (Super Mario 3D Land)
"…Okay, can anyone find a Warp Box?" Grif asked.
"Actually, I think we might have a solution for that." Rosalina said, levitating off the ground.
"Or we can hit those ? Blocks." Tifa said.
"…As long as I don't look ridiculous." Cloud said as they hit the ? Blocks as several Propeller Blocks came floating down and latched onto everyone, although in Cloud's case, it turned into a Moogle Block. "…Don't tell me, it turned me into a Moogle."
"Okay, it didn't turn you into a Moogle." Aerith said.
"Phew…" Cloud sighed with relief as he used the Propeller Block to launch into the air.
"Kupo!" The block chirped as it reached the peak of its flight.
"AERITH!" Cloud yelled.
"What? You said not to tell you!" Aerith pointed out, hearing a snicker from Yuffie and Barret.
"Uuuugh…" Cloud groaned as he floated back down, where Gloria hit the last ? Block as a Propeller Mushroom hopped out.
Gloria let out a gasp. "Finally! I was looking all over for it!" She said, snagging it as she started to glow.
"What do you wanna bet… Hoppip?" Jaune asked.
"Maybe a Tropius." Nyx responded.
Gloria opened her eyes as a brown helmet appeared on her head, her teeth turned razor sharp, her skin turned a lightish brown, her sleeves turned bright orange as fins popped out of her elbows, her torso turned cream in color as fins popped out of her ankles.
"BARRASKEEEEEEEEW!" She cried.
"Barraskewda?!" Chiaki exclaimed in surprise.
"Goodness, Ibuki was thinking Skiploom!"
"So, this is what I turn into." Gloria said before smirking. "I look fockin' awesome!" She said, unaware of Summer blocking the Faunus's ears.
Called it. Summer thought as everyone started to bounce away on the Mushroom platforms while Gloria pulled out her Rotom Phone.
"Hop! You're not gonna believe this, lad. I finally found a Propeller Mushroom!"
"Really? What did you turn into?"
"Barraskewda."
"LOL! Good one! You probably turned into a Hoppip."
Gloria snickered, taking a selfie and then sent the photo. "Is that a fact?"
"HOLY CRAP, MATE!" He then sent her a screaming emoji right after.
"What do you think?"
"…I'm gonna say this in the nicest way possible. YOU ARE BLOODY TERRIFYING!"
"LMAO! Just the kind of reaction I was looking for!"
"Welp… have fun tearing Grimm into shreds with Ruby's Zinogre form."
"Oh, I will!"
"I was joking!"
Gloria giggled. "Alright, let's see if I can catch up with 'em." She said as the fins on her elbows and ankles started to spin as she propelled herself up in the air.
As she was catching up, Mario ground pounded a large tower of Grimm Goombas, earning himself a 1-up the moment he hit the ground. "Score!"
"Kupo!" The Moogle Block chirped after Cloud landed on a Grimm Big Tailed Goomba.
"This is ridiculous…" Cloud grumbled as everyone else flew high into the air as Daisy landed on the peak first.
"I think we're at the peak." She said.
"I see lava and a castle at the bottom!" Caboose said.
"Oh good, I wonder if we're gonna meet some unholy abomination like last time." Epsilon said as they started to descend as Gloria caught up with them and started to descend with them.
"…Flying fish?" Ruby wondered.
"I'd say more "falling with style fish"." Ren guessed as they would land on some platforms while trying not to slip on the cliff edges and accidentally slide down the slope into potential spiky stalagmites.
A few of them had bounced on some Grimm Para Biddybuds before they slowly descended near the flagpole where Gloria grabbed a hold of it, then the rest disposed of the Propeller Blocks, something that Cloud was all too eager to get rid off.
"Arceus, I love this." Gloria smiled, turning back to normal, then they walked over to the castle, then when they got closer, they ran inside.

World 5-Castle: …Hello?
BGM: Castle (Super Mario 3D Land)
"Alright, let's knock these fools to the ground and-" Yang put her arms down, seeing the place completely empty. "…Huh?"
"I don't recall this castle ever being this empty." Chiaki mused, noticing large chunks missing from platforms as they would also see destroyed Brick Blocks and ? Blocks.

"…This is unnerving." Dorothea said.
BGM: Environmental Mystery (Metroid Fusion)
"Agreed." Byleth nodded, readying her Sword of the Creator as they would see half-broken spike bars as metal platforms rose and sunk into the lava, missing several chunks.
"There seems to have been a struggle here." Raven said as they cautiously walked through, noticing half of a wooden platform was missing as they would also see only heads of Dry Bones as their bodies had sunk into the lava, or half of their skulls were missing.
"Goodness, what happened here?" Rosalina wondered as they would see a massive wall had been completely leveled along with some broken Thwomps, and they would also see metal grates rising out of the lava, completely missing the "grate" part.
As they kept going thanks to Xena and Rosalina teleporting them, they would see the telescope having several dents and static shot out of it. The more they walked, the more nervous Weiss was getting and requested to get her Manaphy egg safe to Palutena, and even Summer wanted the young Faunus safe as well.
Metal platforms rose from the ground, completely bent and warped as chunks of Thwomp rose out of the lava. They kept going as they would see more platforms destroyed, walkways demolished, and the castle itself in the distance was looking worse for wear.
"Okay, maybe this is just one of Bowser's older towers that he forgot to update." Jaune said.
"I don't think so…" Pyrrha grimaced as they walked toward the metal platforms that had holes punched through them and as they got closer to the bridge, they would see destroyed pillars and the doorway having been destroyed with hardly any door left.
As soon as they got to the top of the castle, the flagpole itself was at the mercy of whatever had been here before, as the flag was on the ground and ripped up as the pole itself was submerged in lava. "Okay, what the heck is going on?" Mario asked.
"Only one way to find out…" Ibuki said as they walked further along.

World 5-Cliffside: The Culprit
A Beowolf was being carried toward the edge of the cliff, and then it was thrown off straight into the lava. "That takes care of the rest."
The man heard footsteps behind him, barely turning his head. "Who are you?" He asked.
Chiaki narrowed her eyes. "Wait… is that…?" Her eyes widened. Ooooh crap. She thought with a whimper. "Ibuki-"
"Yeah, she knows." Ibuki nodded, pulling out her guitar.
"Was that you who was responsible for that mess in the castle?" Ruby asked.
"What's it to you?" He asked as he turned around. "…Ah, so you are the celebrities I've heard about at Moonview City."
"Who are you!" Daisy demanded.
"My name?" He let out a chuckle. "Kazuya Mishima."
"Soooo… I guess you are on our side?" Yang asked.
"Far from it…" Chiaki responded.
"How so?"
"…Remind me to tell you guys about the Tekken lore later." If we survive this upcoming massacre…
"I'm on no one's side." Kazuya said. "However, I can feel a great power from within you." He got in his fighting stance, and proceeded to rip off his business attire.
"Ooookay, this dude's ripped!" Nora exclaimed.
"So you want to fight us? Bring it on, then!" Yang smirked.
BGM: Red Hot Fist (Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection)
Devil Incarnate - Kazuya Mishima
Yang lunged directly at Kazuya. "Yang, wait!" Chiaki exclaimed as Yang jumped up and delivered a strong blow to his chest, but Kazuya blocked it and before Yang could react, he headbutted her and then deliered a strong straight into her gut and sent her flying.
"Who's next?" He asked as everyone turned to him in surprise. "No one? Then I'll make this easy for you." He then lunged and delivered a Demon God Fist into Jaune, launching him away.
In retaliation, Pyrrha launched a stream of fire at him, but Kazuya blocked with his arms as Nora jumped over and swung her hammer down with Blake lunging at him with Gambol Shroud. However Kazuya grabbed the hammer and swung Nora into Blake and Pyrrha. He shifted his eyes to the side and sweep kicked Ren as he then used Lion Slayer to punch him into the ground and made a small crater.
He turned around as Tucker slashed at him, but he would use an uppercut to knok Tucker in the air, then he grabbed his ankle and spun him around, knocking out the other Reds and Blues before throwing him into Grif, his head hitting his crotch, causing him to cry out in agony.
A ring of fire surrounded Kazuya as Lea lunged through the fire and slashed him, but Kazuya grabbed his Keyblade and tossed it to the side. Lea smirked and summoned his chakrams instead, swinging and throwing them gracefully as Xion joined him and slashed him from behind as Ven came in with Sonic Blade and then Isa came in with his Claymore.
Kazuya turned around and delivered a Demon God Fist, striking Isa in the chest that stunned him as he grabbed his arm and slammed him into Lea and Ven. Xion used Ars Arcanum, managing to hit him a few times until Kazuya grabbed her by the throat and kicked her in the face twice that sent her back, then the flames died down.
Mario and Luigi jumped in and swung their hammers while also activating their elemental attacks as Daisy joined in, crystals forming of the sides of her arms and slashed him. Kazuya smirked, not caring if he was hit as Kazuya ducked and sweep kicked, but would specifically use Devil Twister on Luigi, knocking him high into the air. In that split second, he had turned into his devil form.
"Wait… did he just…?!" Ruby said.
"He did!" Ibuki nodded.
Ruby grimaced. "Oooh, I can see why Chiaki's terrified of this guy." She said, watching STRQ, Maia and JINXY attack him, only for Kazuya to grab Iris's sword and threw her into Xena to knock them both to the ground and then Kazuya threw a punch into Summer's chest, but it phazed through her.
"Hmm?" Kazuya raised an eyebrow as Summer smirked at him, then Kazuya went into his Devil form and shot a laser into her that made her yelp and blasted her away as Raven swung her sword down, but Kazuya caught it with his hands. However, Raven activated her Maiden powers and her katana caught on fire, slashing Kazuya away.
"Impressive…" Kazuya reached into his pocket. "Let's even the odds." He said, pulling out a Fire Flower.

Chiaki's eyes widened. "How did he…?!"
"It's amazing what this world has in store, strange items pop out of these ? Blocks… it prompts experimentation." He then crushed the Fire Flower in his hands, where his pants turned fiery orange and fire shot out of his eyes.
BGM: Dust Thins Out (Tekken 6: Bloodline Rebellion)
Kazuya propelled himself to Raven as she unleashed a stream of fire at him, but he was able to manipulate it to go around him and struck Tai, Qrow, Maia and the rest of JINXY. Raven let out a growl, ice forming in her hands as she delivered ice slashes at him, but he Burst Stepped out of the way, where a fiery after image of him was in his place, and exploded upon contact. "Argh!" Raven grunted as Kazuya grabbed her and unleashed Heaven's Door, smashing her into Aerith but she had dodged in time where Cloud lunged and cross slashed him, however Kazuya conjured up a fire shield and countered with a Tombstone Crusher.
Kazuya immediately spotted Aerith using Curaga on her friends, so he launched himself and slugged Aerith harshly in the gut to send her back as he then went into his devil form, flew up and fired a laser in a zig zag pattern that caused an explosion that launched Yuffie, Tifa, Barret, Red, Carmen and the Knights away.
He landed on the ground as Gloria, in her Unovan Darmanitan form, lunged at him from behind and unleashed a Hammer Arm, pushing him back. Kazuya simply turned his head back with a smirk and sweep kicked her, but Gloria jumped up in the air to avoid it and used Superpower on him, where Kazuya had blocked with the palm of his hand but the force of it was enough to make him slide. He would then grab her and then suplexed her to knock her down.
Kazuya would then turn to see Byleth swinging her sword at him, but he moved his head back as the Sword of the Creator whipped past him as Dorothea unleashed Thoron at him, striking him in the chest and making him back up as Byleth rushed at him while the Pits flanked him and fired arrows as Byleth swung Amyr down, only for Kazuya to grab Amyr and yanked it off of her as he sweep kicked her to knock her on the ground as he then swung Amyr into Byleth and sent her flying into Dorothea to knock her down as he tossed Amyr to the side and stomped the ground as plumes of fire shot out of the ground and engulfed the both of them to send them away as they yelped in pain.
It was then that an iceberg struck Kazuya from below, knocking him up in the air as Weiss, in her Fierce Deity form, jumped into the air with both weapons and slashed him down, then she immediately launched ice shurikens at him, but he recovered and dodged the blades as he pulled out an Ice Flower and absorbed it, where his pants turned blue and his eyes icy blue.

BGM: Only One Fight (Tekken 6: Bloodline Retribution)
Weiss cross slashed him, sending an icy X his way but he put his hand up and manipulated the ice to go back at her, but Weiss put up a force field to block the attack as she landed on the ground and lunged, slashing him with fierce gracefulness as Kazuya conjured up shields for his arms and blocked the attacks thrown at him as an icicle formed in his elbow and delivered a mighty blow to her gut with said icicle, making her grunt as Kazuya went for a Twin Pistons attack that knocked her high into the air but Weiss recovered and summoned her Ice Gylphs, firing ice beams at him but he manipulated it to go around him as he lunged right at her, going for a Devil Fist and hit her, but she shattered into ice upon contact.
"Over here!" Weiss said as Kazuya turned around and punched her, but she shattered again as Weiss flanked him on the side and slashed him gracefully, delivering mighty ice slashes at him until Kazuya grabbed both of her arms and headbutted her, then delivered a roundhouse triple spin kick at her and then finished the combo with a Nejiri Uraken that launched her straight into Umber who had thrown electric bolts at him, knocking them both to the ground.
"Guess we have no choice here." Chiaki said, deciding to don a military outfit while having an American Flag tattoo on her upper right arm and got in her stance. "You ready, Ibuki?"
"Ready!"
Kazuya turned to the Ultimates as the two rushed at him. Ibuki strummed her guitar to produce electricity to stun Kazuya while Chiaki unleashed a Flash Kick to knock him in the air. Kazuya recovered and fired his Devil Blaster at Chiaki, but she rolled out of the way as Kazuya landed, then Ibuki swung her guitar but Kazuya grabbed her guitar. He would get hit by a Sonic Boom, but he didn't seem to care as Kazuya knee kicked Ibuki in the gut and suplexed her right after.
Chiaki gritted her teeth as she charged at him. Kazuya did the same as he delivered a Glorius Demon God Fist but Chiaki rolled out of the way and hit him with an Eagle Strike, and then Kazuya grabbed her foot and slammed her into the ground, kicking her away but Chiaki got back up, shaking it off and then went for a Sonic Hurricane. Kazuya froze the ground underneath him as he easily slid underneath the Hurricane and then kicked Chiaki in the knee, making her grunt as she tried to do a Flash Kick, but he pressed his foot against her stomach and kicked her into Ibuki who had gotten back up.
Kazuya shifted his eyes to see Rosalina throwing a comet at him from above, but Kazuya flew up to meet her as he flew over and punched her, but Rosalina telekinetically stopped him and fired a barrage of Star Bits at him, followed by unleashing cosmic fire.
Kazuya fired his Devil Blaster, but Rosalina put up a cosmic forcefield. Kazuya raised an eyebrow before smirking, pulling out a Ghost Mushroom where his skin turned pale white as he flew directly to Rosalina, turning himself invisible. Rosalina shifted her eyes, throwing cosmic waves in the air to try and hit him, only for him to appear behind her as he grabbed her by the throat and flew down, shoving her into the ground and burying her a few feet in.
Once he climbed out, Ruby lunged at him and slashed him with Crescent Rose, but Kazuya caught it. "Interesting weapon…" He mused ae he yanked it out of her hands and threw it to the side as he then slugged her, but she disappeared from his view as she was behind him and kicked him in the back before disappearing again and punched and kicked him from the side, then used her semblance to kick and punch him from all angles.
Kazuya chuckled. "I admire your creativity." He put his hand out and grabbed Ruby by the throat. "But your hand to hand is pathetic compared to mine." He pulled back his fist and delivered a strong punch to her gut hard enough to actually shatter her aura, causing her to scream. "I will make an example out of you." He then held her in his arms and slowly walked to the edge of the cliff.
"Nnngh…" Byleth came around and saw what was going on. "Ruby…? RUBY!" She yelled.

"Hey Byleth." Sothis saw Byleth approaching her.
"What did you call me up here for?"
"I know you've been enjoying your time with your new family, but… there's something that's bothered me for a while. It was… around the time after you got your butt kicked by Nemesis."
"Oh?"
"Remember when we fused together after Solon did his Zaharas spell and as a result, you had your Awakening and got more powerful to the point where Solon didn't stand a chance?"
"Of course… and then we got discovered and we were taken into the Smash Mansion to where I became a Smasher soon after."
"Exactly." Sothis nodded. "And then Palutena unfused us, which in turn, caused you to lose your Awakening. I do not fault Palutena, she more than likely didn't know."
"Right… but even after we split up, I still have the Divine Pulse."
"Mhm." Sothis nodded. "So… I was thinking the other day: Why not give you a power boost like I did last time?"
Byleth's eyes widened. "Are you saying-"
"Yes. I didn't think of it then, but now… now it's time we did something about it." Sothis moved over to Byleth and took her hand, both of them glowed. "It's not gonna be as completely potent like last time, but it may help you in a pinch." She explained as they stopped glowing. "There, you have your Awakening back. A little weaker as I mentioned, but it should do the trick. You can activate it at will at any time."
Byleth smiled. "Thank you."
"I should've given you this earlier… that way, you might have stood more of a chance with Nemesis."
"Don't worry about it. It's all in the past now."
Sothis chuckled. "Alright then."
Byleth closed her eyes, slowly getting up as an aura wrapped around her. "HRAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!" She yelled, activating her awakening as her hair and eyes turned a lighter green as she teleported away, and then appeared in front of Kazuya and delivered a powerful punch that knocked Kazuya away and dropped Ruby, but Byleth caught her.
"Uuuungh… sis…?" Ruby groaned. "Why do you….?" She wondered as she felt herself getting healed up, in fact, she felt her aura returning.
"Think we can take him together?"
"Of course." Ruby nodded, immediately going into her Zinogre form.
Kazuya shook it off, chuckling. "So, you must be a glutton for punishment." He said as he heard electricity crackling near him as he turned to see Laxus, his arms folded as electricity wrapped around him. "I completely forgot about you. You didn't even lay a finger."
"I was analyzing you, honestly." Laxus said. "Now that I know what you're capable of…" He got in his stance. "I might actually have some fun with you."
"I'm not… I'm not out yet!" A voice said as Yang had gotten up, having transformed into her Shin form as Rosalina emerged from the ground, dusting herself off where Mario jumped back in and squared up once again.
Kazuya got in his stance, smirking. "Bring it on."
BGM: Desperate Struggle (Tekken 7)
Yang lunged at Kazuya, draconically punching him but he ducked and delivered an uppercut to send her away, but she summoned her wings to catch herself and then threw out a Shakunetsu right as Mario jumped over to hammer him on the head, but Kazuya caught him, only to get hit with said Shakunetsu, where he dropped Mario as he delivered a fiery kick.
Laxus lunged at Kazuya, delivering a right hook only for Kazuya to duck and retaliated with an Oni Front Kick to try and kick him away, only for Laxus to slide only a foot as he zipped toward Kazuya and delivered a powerful electric punch that knocked him away.
Kazuya got back up, pulling out a Rock Mushroom as his skin turned back to normal but his pants turned brown as he stomped on the ground and created a rock wall, then he roundhouse kicked it to send the boulders toward the group, but Byleth cut them down as did Ruby. Rosalina caught a few and sent then back to him where Kazuya shattered the boulders upon contact.
Byleth's sword burst into flames as she swung down to create fire beams as Mario propelled himself with his fire. Kazuya side stepped to avoid the sword beams and then punched Mario who punched him in kind, then the latter smirked and flip kicked him where Yang lunged and draconically punhed him in the gut, onlyfor Kazuya to grab her and Steel Pedal Dropped her.
Laxus zipped his way over to him and slugged him in the gut. Kazuya responded by firing a point blank Devil Blaster to which Laxus grit his teeth and delivered an uppercut to knock him in the air as Laxus would then launch up and together with Rosalina teleporting to him, the two of them unleashing a Thunder/Cosmic Punch that sent Kazuya to the ground.
Byleth conjured up fireballs around her as she shot them at Kazuya while also raising her sword up as lightning shot down and struck the Sword of the Creator and she swung it down as Kazuya was hit by a bolt of lightning where Ruby lightning slashed him with her claws, where Kazuya retaliated with a Left Splits Kick, sending Ruby away as Laxus conjured up a large electrical trident and threw it at Kazuya, striking him in the shoulders and then Laxus zipped toward him and knee kicked him in the gut.
Laxus then jumped over and slugged him hard in the cheek with an Iron Fist, followed by a combo of a left and right hook combo and threw an uppercut that knocked him into the air, then Yang flew over, with Mario in tow as the former delivered a strong dragon kick while the latter fire punched him into the ground.
Kazuya got back up, letting out a growl. He let out a yell and lunged directly at the group…
…Until a Messathu Gohado struck him. "Rrrgh!" He grunted.

Yang gasped. "I know that laser…"
"I finally found you, Kazuya Mishima."
Yang turned to the source of the voice. "Akuma!"
Ruby turned her head. "That's… that's what he looks like?!"
Kazuya turned to him. "Heh… well well, I had a feeling I would have ran into you again."
Akuma said nothing, getting in his stance. "I've looked forward to our rematch."
Kazuya pulled out a Super Mushroom, popping it in his mouth and found himself rejuvenated as the two circled around each other. "It seems as if that laser that Heihachi dropped on us wasn't enough to kill you. I will admit, I would have been disappointed that you had perished in that."
"Now that Heihachi isn't here… let's finish this."
Kazuya smirked. "I agree."
"So… what do we do?" Ruby asked.
"Don't interfere… this is going to get ugly fast." Yang responded.

The two of them stomped their feet to the ground, delivering a right hook to each other as they both connected as they took a step back. Kazuya jumped in with a Tombstone Crusher, but Akuma jumped to the side and retaliated with a Palm Strike as he delivered a right and left hook right after, where Kazuya retaliated with a Flash Tornado.
Akuma responded with a Goshoryuken, knocking Kazuya in the air, however the latter recovered and shot him with the Devil Blaster, landing on the ground as he caught Akuma's hand as he then Double Face Kicked him, Akuma retaliated with a Gahadoken and then a Tatsumaki Zankukyaku.
Kazuya was knocked back as Akuma did a Hyakisshu/Hyakki Gosai right after, slamming Kazuya to the ground as he then went to punch him on the ground, but Kazuya used a point blank Devil Blaster, making him back up as Kazuya got back up and did a ten hit combo attack before finishing with a Devil Twister and a Glorious Demon God Fist.
Kazuya smirked as he Crouch Dashed and went for an Electric Wind God Fist, but Akuma used Ashura Senku to get behind him and used Kimonkai to knock Kazuya in the air and jumped up for a Hyakisshu/Hyakki Gosho to smack him into the ground and pelted him with several Tenma Gozankus, then threw a Messatsu Gou Senpuu before he hit the ground.
"You've gotten weak."
"On the contrary." Kazuya punched the ground as a stone pillar slugged Akuma from below and knocked him up in the air, then he flew up and used Heaven's Door to slam him into the ground and kicked him away. "Koko ga kisama no hakaba da!" (This will be your burial ground!) He exclaimed, unleashing Final Blaster at him to knock Akuma on his knees.
"Do you see now that you are powerless against me!"
An aura surrounded Akuma, going into Shin mode as he smirked. "On the contrary." He lunged directly at Kazuya, where the latter prepared himself. "Die a thousand deaths!" He exclaimed, unleashing Wrath of the Raging Demon on him before finishing it off with his kanji glowing brightly behind him as Kazuya was laid out.
"Hmph." Akuma turned around and walked off, only for a Devil Blaster to go through him. "Argh!"
"Heh…" Kazuya got back up, holding a half eaten 1-Up in his hand. "Do you think I was not prepared for such an attack?"
Akuma snarled. "Very well, I will just have to end your miserable life again!"
Kazuya got in his stance, doing a 'come at me' taunt as the two of them lunged at each other… until a bright light came crashing down between the two.
"That is enough, both of you!"
It turns out, it was Ryu and Ken who had gotten between them.

"Guys?!" Yang said in surprise as Master Hand teleported over.
"Hello!" He waved.
Earlier…
"Tum tum te tum~ That was a nice float about the Mushroom Kingdom." Master Hand hummed as he turned his hand casually to see Akuma and Kazuya circling about. "…Wait, isn't that Akuma and… oh my, I've heard about him! I need to grab those two quickly." He said and snapped away.
In the present…
"So, you saw us, did you?" Kazuya asked, having his fist being blocked by Ken while Ryu was dealing with Akuma.
"You think this will stop me?" Akuma asked. "Do not even think about bringing him into your "Smash Brothers". Recall the last time you had a villain in the Smash Mansion. The whole universe was almost plagued with Phazon. This man brought about the third world war in his world. Who's to say he wouldn't do the same in this world?"
"We'll put him on a tighter leash than what we did with Dark Samus." Master Hand said. "Kazuya has great potential to be in the roster."
"He does not take being held down by a leash rather well." Akuma pointed out.
"Hahahaha, a "Smash Brothers"? I am not interested in such things. I am only here because those Grimm creatures have made a mess in my city and I had come to investigate."
"Your city? I imagine you took it over!" Ken said.
"The one who overlooked the city was weak." Kazuya explained.
"I will not allow you to live a second longer!"
"All for what, your sense of honor and duty that my mother had requested you to do?"
"She saved my life."
"You should have been incinerated by that laser, and yet, here we are. That wench was a fool." Kazuya immediately went into his devil form. "If you will excuse me, I must go find the one responsible for destroying my city." He flew off.
"Kazuya!" Akuma shouted. "You will not run from me! I will hunt you down and destroy you!"
"You are welcome to try." He said and flew off.
A deep growl escaped Akuma's lips. "You were foolish to stop me, Ryu. Let's hope you don't make that same mistake again." He said and walked off.
"…Well, there's always next time." Master Hand said. "See you later!" He disappeared along with Ryu and Ken.
"Putting that man into Smash? You gotta be joking." Yang said.
"Indeed… his heart is filled with darkness that I've sensed in him." Rosalina said as she clapped her hands and healed everyone up who were getting up from getting knocked out.
"Ugh… did I hear that right… was that Akuma?" Chiaki asked, rubbing her head as the Manaphy Egg and the Faunus returned.
"It was." Yang nodded.
"Lovely…" Chiaki sighed.
"Come on, let's get out of here." Ruby said as Byleth went back to normal as they walked away from the cliff and into a clearing surrounded by trees.
"…Someone's following us." Summer said as they turned around to see a Zarude jumping off a tree.
"A Zarude?" Gloria wondered as the faunus's eyes sparkled and let out a few happy growls.
The Zarude smiled and proceeded to communicate in sign language. ["Relax, I come in peace."]
"Oh, it's a friendly one." Ruby said.
The Faunus happily ran over and hugged the Zarude. The Zarude patted him on the head and looked at them. ["My name is Kala, and this boy is my adopted son."]
"Do you know what his name is?" Ruby asked.
The Zarude nodded. ["His name is Oran. Oran Moss."]
