BGM: World 1 Grassland (New Super Mario Bros Wii)

"So, do you do anything else aside from playing games?" Luigi asked.

"Of course I do." Chiaki nodded. "I'm catching up on movies that I've missed, heck, I've finally caught up on all the Star Wars movies and I'm still working on catching up on the MCU, same with the Jurassic World movies."

"Ah, I see."

"Aside from catching up on movies, I do go around and explore the Mushroom Kingdom and the other worlds, go on dates with Hajime, sometimes I help out at the Future Foundation, sometimes I help out Futaba, sometimes I'm fighting friends in Smash matches… I'm pretty busy." She giggled.

Luigi chuckled. "Catching on everything, eh?"

"Yup." Chiaki nodded.

"Anything note worthy?"

"Well, just about a week ago, Hajime and I were walking around Mushroom Park when a portal opened up nearby, and out came a small robot that was pretty banged up. We took him into the Future Foundation where Makoto and Asahina fixed him up. He went on to explain that he was separated from his master when this group of bandits came and snatched him up… and started to kick him around until a portal sucked him in."

"Oh my."

"Yeah, and he honestly believes that these bandits went on to kill his master, so he was pretty lonely. Though he did start getting attached to me and next thing I know, we're practically best friends." She giggled. "Cute little guy… now I have two roommates."

"That's pretty cu-… two?"

"Yeah, when I first moved in to the Smash Mansion, Kirby thought I was pretty lonely so he just moved in to keep me company. I usually play games quietly at night so I wouldn't disturb his sleeping."

Luigi laughed. "So that explains why I see Kirby going in your room every so often. I just assumed he wanted to hang out!"

Chiaki giggled. "Right?"

"So where's your friend now?"

"Oh, he's keeping an eye on my room. He wanted to come with, but he decided to guard my room… apparently he doesn't really trust Ganondorf, Wario, Waluigi and Sephiroth for he thinks they'll come in and mess up my room or something, which is cute because they don't give my room the time of day." She giggled.

"Adorable." Luigi chuckled. "So, what's his name?"

"Oh, his name? Shoot, I can't believe I forgot to tell you his name." Chiaki sheepishly rubbed her head. "Anyway, his name is-"

Meanwhile…

BGM: World 6 Map (Super Mario 3D Land)

"I'm telling you, R2-D2 would definitely win in a fight against ROB." Grif said.

"What? That's a load of bullshit." Tucker said. "Your reasoning doesn't make any sense! ROB can easily wipe the floor against R2. He's got arms!"

"Tell that to the Super Battle Droids he burnt alive in Revenge of the Sith."

"Okay, first, the Battle Droids are completely stupid. Second of all, ROB can lift him up in the air and bury him alive. ROB wins. Easy!"

"But he could easily shoot oil out on him and burn him alive. R2-D2 is the superior astromech droid!" Grif said.

"I get that, but ROB isn't one to go down that easily. Remember, he took on the X-Parasites and Raven Beak, which according to Blake, he was able to hold his own even if Rosie had her cosmic powers taken away." Tucker said. "ROB would easily knock R2-D2 to the ground."

"Okay, as someone who's watched the movies thanks to you guys… I'm pretty sure those two would just be best friends." Weiss said. "ROB can get pretty sassy, R2-D2 is already sassy to begin with… they'd be best friends in an instant."

"THANK YOU!" Epsilon yelled.

"It's true, they would." Simmons nodded.

"Imagine the shenanigans those two would do… it's hilarious just thinking about it." Ibuki giggled and had an idea, texting Chiaki. "Who would win in a fight: ROB-chan or R2-D2?"

"Honestly, they would just team up and beat the heck out of any mook that was thrown at them."

"Yeah, Ibuki can see that happening."

"Remind me why those two are arguing about robots beating each other up?" Ruby asked.

"I think it was something about who is the superior robot or something… I dunno, I kinda tuned them out." Byleth said.

"Same." Blake nodded. "Although, my money's on ROB."

Yang faked a cough. "SPBRR bias." She faked another cough, to which Blake gave her an annoyed look. "What?"

["I have no idea what you're talking about, but this is somewhat amusing."] Kala signed with a chuckle while Oran listened intently on Tucker and Grif's argument.

"Alright, we'll settle this!" Tucker said, pulling out two pieces of paper and drawing out the two robots before showing them to Oran. "What do you think?"

Ibuki rolled her eyes. "That was a rush job. Let Ibuki take care of this." She pulled out her phone. "Let's see… Images… ah, here we go." She handed Oran her phone. "This is what they actually look like."

Oran stared at the two, before looking up at Grif and Tucker and then back at the phone before looking back up and pointed at Grif. "HA! Told you!" Grif said, and then Oran pointed his other arm at Tucker.

"ROB wins! …Wait… did we just tie?" Tucker asked.

"…OH, YOU GOTTA BE KIDDING ME!" Grif yelled while Oran gave them a playful smirk and handed Ibuki her phone back.

"You did that just to mess with 'em, didn't you?" Ibuki gave him a knowing smile as he nodded. "Called it." She giggled, playfully patting him on the head.

"He just messed with Grif? He's a true red! That's my Faunus boy!" Sarge said proudly.

"I'm baaaack~!" A voice said as Caboose walked over to them, holding a 1-Up in his hands. "Those Grimm Goombas were kind enough to give me this 1-Up after I hugged them. They melted into my arms!"

"…That's… wonderful?" Laxus sweatdropped.

"Alright, now that we're done waiting. Let's go." Summer said. "We should be close to the next area."

"Right." Raven nodded as they walked off.

World 6-4: Blinking Platforms

BGM: Block Theme - Three in a Row (Super Mario 3D Land)

"Oh goodness, we're at this level already?" Ibuki asked as they would see beeping blocks popping into existence before disappearing within seconds.

Weiss tilted her head as she walked forward as did Dorothea. The two of them listened closely as the blocks blinked into existence before disappearing again. Weiss nodded her head to the beat while Dorothea closed her eyes.

"It's a rhythm." Weiss said.

"Three beeps per second… and then three seconds later, they disappear." Dorothea whispered. "Hm. Hm. Hm… Hm. Hm. Hm." She opened her eyes and watched the blocks reappear, then disappearing after the last one blinked into existence.

"Okay, I think we got it!" Weiss said as they turned around. "This whole area goes by rhythm, so if we follow along, we should be able to get through without much trouble!"

"Yeah, unless you don't have a Tanooki Suit, then it's a bit more difficult." Ibuki mentioned. Ibuki STILL doesn't get how Chiaki-chan manages to do this level without a Tanooki Suit all the time…

"I'd rather forgo the Tanooki suit." Cloud said.

"Aww, but you look so cute as a Moogle." Yuffie smiled.

"Yeah, and I don't want to look cute, thank you very much." Cloud mumbled while Weiss and Dorothea high fived each other as the two of them walked across the platforms and got to the other side where the others made it across, then they walked past a Wallop as Weiss and Dorothea spotted three more blocks acting as stairs, so they hurried up the stairs before they blinked out of existence.

They would then see a few Prongos walking around as they spotted the duo and rushed at them, leaping into the air to try and headbonk them, but they stepped out of the way as they embedded themselves into the ground, then they stabbed/fried it up with a Bolganone attack, then everyone else came up.

"Ugh… uuuuugh… I hate stairs…" Grif groaned as the platform beneath him disappeared. "WAAAAAAAAAAAH!" He yelled, but Rosalina caught him and brought him up. "Phew…"

"Grif, if you would just exercise regularly-" Sarge pointed out.

"That's too much!" Grif grumbled.

"…Has he tried a treadmill?" Maia asked.

"Weeeeeeeeeell…" Donut began.

Pause BGM

A few days ago…

"Huff… huff…"

"That's it, Grif. Follow the doughnut!" Sarge said, holding a fishing pole in front of him as Grif ran on the treadmill. "Oooh, you gotta be quicker than that!"

"I WILL GET THIS DOUGHNUT… EVEN IF IT KILLS ME!" He yelled, unaware of Simmons sneaking in and pressing the "10" button on the treadmill, then sneaked in a fist bump for Sarge. "Hah! Hah! Why is it picking up speed?!"

"Keep going! You almost got it!" Sarge encouraged as Grif tried his best, only for his legs to give in and he collapsed, shooting him out of the room and out of the base.

"WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!"

"Whoops." Sarge and Simmons said, seeing the Grif shaped hole in the wall.

CRASH!

MROOOOOOOOOOOOW!

"I'm okaaaaaaaaaay…"

In the present…

Resume BGM

"Carolina and Washington were demanding answers as to why there was a Grif shaped hole in the wall." Donut said.

"I wondered why Grif was sitting in a trash can…" Mario mused.

"I was wondering why I heard a cat yell in pain…" Blake added.

"Oh, that poor cat…" Ruby whimpered.

"Jokes on them, I had found a doughnut in the trash can!" Grif said.

Nyx gagged. "…I didn't need to hear that."

"Same on that front." Jaune mumbled.

"I wondered why you were happy when you came back…" Sarge mused as they walked through a door and found themselves in a room with more beep blocks. Maia pushed down a Wallop with her wind as Weiss and Dorothea worked their way up with Ibuki right behind them.

The others walked up the beeping steps while some of them stayed behind to wait for the blinking stairs to reappear. Once they were all at the other side after another flight of beeping and blinking stairs, they walked through the door and found themselves back outside, finding themselves another row of blocks, this time gapped apart.

"You're kidding me! Now they're spaced apart?!" Grif yelled.

"Where's the fun in keeping them together?" Lea chuckled as they hopped over, and when they blinked back, the others hopped over while the rest of them manipulated the Wallops to make them jump and they went around them, then finding three beeping blocks to climb up, two of which were slopes.

"Oh, that looks fun…" Dorothea said.

"Nothing that we can't handle." Weiss smirked, and once the first one blinked in, they would run up and made it just before the last block blinked away, then they would see two sets of blocks being overrun by spike bars. The two of them looked at each other and nodded, proceeding to run ahead and jumped over the bars and had to wait inbetween for the platforms to reappear, then they ran again while jumping over the second spike bar.

A Prongo spotted them and charged at them, and leapt into the air as the two side stepped out of the way as the Prongo smacked into the blinking platform that had just disappeared and caused it to fall into the abyss. "Hate to be that guy." Dorothea said.

"True that." Weiss laughed as they walked ahead, jumping across a slanted platform while also dodging a spike bar as they jumped across, only for Dorothea to lose her balance at the end as Weiss caught her hand and pulled her up before the last platform blinked away.

"Phew, thanks." Dorothea smiled as they went up the last flight of separated blinking blocks and Weiss and Dorothea snagged the flagpole and dropped down with Ibuki landing right behind her.

"Never thought Ibuki would see two song birds kicking ass like that." Ibuki said.

"What can we say, we know rhythm when we hear it." Weiss said.

"You know it." Dorothea high fived her as Byleth landed nearby.

"I'm not as musically gifted compared to her." Byleth chuckled as the rest of them caught up.

"Alright, that was a bit annoying. Let's hope we don't have to do that again!" Nora said.

The special worlds would disagree with you. Ibuki thought as they walked away, and would come into contact with another snowy-like area.

BGM: Snowball Park (Super Mario 3D Land)

World 6-5: Bouncing in the Snow

"Now this I can get behind." Tucker said.

"The last area wasn't so bad." Laxus told him.

"True, but it could've been better."

"Hmm…" Mario looked over a snow covered platform as he walked on top of it, and bounced high into the way. "Wahoo!"

"Oooh, snow covered mushroom platforms. Niiiiice!" Ruby smiled as she jumped on as everyone else did the same as they would come across a moving mushroom platform that was too small for everyone. However, underneath the platform was snowy ground for them to traverse through, which is what the rest of them did while Ibuki, JINXY, Umber, RWBY, Mario and Daisy jumped across while hitting high up Brick Blocks with the occasional ? Block with coins popping out.

Soon, the Mushroom Platform came to a stop as they jumped through a ring of Brick Blocks as the others would hop up and do the same as they walked across while taking out some standard Grimm Goombas while some Grimm Mr. Blizzards popped out of the snow.

"AAAAH! KILLER SNOWMAN!" Grif yelled. "I KNEW FROSTY THE SNOWMAN WAS EVIL!" The Mr. Blizzards threw poisonous snowballs at the group.

"…My god, who is the diabolical son of a bitch who turned Frosty into a Grimm?! I will have their heads!" Sarge said, shooting them down. "If I see Rudolph as a Grimm, I WILL tap dance on their corpse just like how Ibuki and her Doom friend did to Dark Samus!"

"Oh yay, Ibuki rubbed off on someone! …Not how she pictured it to go, but still!"

"Snowmen can be turned into Grimm now?" Weiss asked.

"Apparently these can!" Yang said as Pyrrha melted down the rest with Mario and Lea adding on to the fire, then they found another moving mushroom platform as JNPR, Oran, Kala, the Reds and Blues and Mario took it while the rest walked underneath, then Mario jumped high enough as he saw some wooden platforms for him to wall jump off of, where he proceeded to do so and hopped up on the ledge, finding a 1-Up for his troubles and put it in his pocket, then he jumped down and went back to hopping on the mushroom platform.

Once it reached the end, everyone climbed up and went through some doughnut blocks before using a few more Mushroom Blocks as they jumped their way toward the flagpole with Mario taking it. "Wahoo!" He exclaimed as he hopped down.

"Let's get away from these killer snowmen… it can't be much worse than this!" Grif said as they walked away, and would find airships flying up ahead.

"I'll just take that egg." Palutena said, whisking the Manaphy egg from Weiss. "…I would take Oran too, but I'm curious to see how he fights."

"You know what? I agree." Ruby nodded as they found some cannons and they all jumped in.

BGM: Bowser Jr's Airship Armada (Super Mario Galaxy)

World 6-Airship: You Want Even More Acupuncture?

As soon as they landed, they were greeted by skewers ready to impale them. "You were saying?" Xion asked.

Grif groaned. "Take me back to the snowmen."

"Nope! Let's get through this!" Sarge said as they hurried across, where some Grimm Rocky Wrenches popped up, only for one of them to accidentally get skewered by a skewer, then it retracted as everyone made it down into a small gap while another Rocky Wrench threw a Grimm Bob-omb, only for a skewer to catch it and returned it to sender, causing it to explode in its face and obliterated it.

Once they went inside, they would see skewers on the deck and in the ceiling. "How would anyone manage to get through this safely if you're attacking the Mushroom Kingdom?" Rosalina wondered.

"They must have an on/off switch somewhere!" Ibuki guessed.

"It can't be that easy!" Qrow said as they made it across after the skewers hit the ceiling and floor, then they climbed up a ledge where two skewers were ready to impale them, but Rosalina and Xena stopped them as everyone went into another hole, this time in a much more cramped area with skewers in tight spaces.

"That's overkill!" Pit exclaimed.

"Agreed." Tai nodded, where Rosalina and Xena worked together to get everyone safely through and then teleported out so the skewers would slam into the walls, then they would find a Warp Pipe as they all went inside after jumping a gap that had a skewer that was busy impaling a wall.

End BGM

Once they gone inside, they would see Mercury waiting for them, and he had complete mechanics all over his body, save for his face. "Mercury!" Ruby exclaimed.

"Eliminate all hostiles." He said robotically, aiming his hand at them while Dimentio appeared before them, snapping his fingers as everyone disappeared save for Ruby, Summer, Mario and Oran.

"Goodness, it didn't get rid of the Roses this time? I wonder how the kid will fare…" Dimentio rubbed his chin in thought.

"Don't get so cocky." Ruby glared at him.

"Oh well! Have at it!" Dimentio threw magic at the ground where it caught ablaze, and they would see Mercury manipulating it.

"Burn!" Mercury said mechanically.

BGM: Fire Man Stage (Super Smash Bros Ultimate)

Pyromatic Cyborg - Mercury

"Oh, I feel so bad for him!" Ruby said as they avoided the flames as Oran jumped over a gap with Mario as the latter jumped in and punched him, where Mercury aimed his arm cannon and launched balls of fire at him, which Mario manipulated back and hit him in the face and then Mario smacked him in the head with his hammer.

Summer summoned two machetes as she jumped in and slashed him, but Mercury would duck and did a breakdance kick that shot out streams of fire that knocked Summer away, all the while Oran got into position with his spear as he ran in and slashed him from behind.

Mercury glanced over as he turned around and roundhouse kicked the air, which was enough to confuse him as Oran had come out of his shell with a smile before slashing him onto a platform.

"Oh, he's good. Kala taught him well." Palutena mused as Oran jumped away as he saw fire coming at him from the side as he quickly hid in his shell to protect himself from the flames, where it briefly caught on fire before dissipating.

"Hmm…" Mario mused, noticing this and getting an idea as Mercury breakdanced and produced a fire tornado, sending it at the Roses where they jumped to both sides as Ruby used her semblance to slash Mercury away before hitting him with a few lightning bolts as Summer slashed him away.

Oran pulled out a Dust Crystal from his satchel, applying it to his spear as he jumped in and swung his spear as ice shot out and froze Mercury's feet, then Mario jumped over to him. "Your shell can protect you from anything, right?" He asked as he nodded. Mario smiled and then whispered in his ear. Oran looked at him in surprise before thinking about it before nodding. "Alright, let's-a go!"

Mercury aimed his arm cannon and fired massive fireballs at the Roses, one of them actually hitting Ruby and knocking her into a wall. "Ooof!" She grunted as she saw a stream of fire coming for her. Her eyes widened and quickly used her semblance to avoid it.

"You okay?" Summer asked.

"Yeah, I'm fine!" Ruby nodded.

"Damned brat!" Mercury growled, charging up a fire attack while keeping an eye on Summer.

"Hey stinky!" Mario called out to him.

Mercury turned around, only to have a flaming armadillo shell slam into his face, courtesy of Mario hammering him away. "Oh!" The Roses winced at the heavy impact as Oran came out and shoved his spear with some Electric Dust, embedding it into the chest plate.

"GRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH!" Mercury cried as his cybernetics fell limp as Mercury fell to the ground. "Uuuugh… what…?"

End BGM

Dimentio reappeared. "Goodness me, this little boy's got some fire in him!" He said, as Oran glared at Dimentio as he pulled out his bow and arrow. "Uh oh! Something tells me the boy's really accurate with that. Ciao~!" He said, snagging Mercury as he let out a yelp before disappearing.

"How do you feel after that?" Summer asked as Oran smiled, giving her a "It didn't even hurt!" look with a bright smile. "Phew, that's a relief…" She said, while also giving Mario the stink eye.

"What? He's fine!" Mario said.

"Even so…" Summer let out a small grumble as everyone reunited with them.

"So how'd he do?" Weiss asked.

"Let's just say he's quite the fighter." Palutena said. "I'm definitely impressed!"

"So are we." Ruby smiled, patting Oran on the head as he smiled proudly.

["That's my boy."] Kala signed proudly as Rosalina teleported them out to safety just before the airship was taken down.

"Alright, let's-a go!" Mario exclaimed as they all took off, but Daisy stopped a few feet and looked behind her.

"Luigi… I hope you and Chiaki are okay." She said, placing her hand on her chest. "…Why can't I stop worrying about them?" She wondered as she turned around and ran off to catch up with the others.

World 6-4 is actually one of my favorite levels in 3D Land. I find it to be quite creative!

Ibuki: Indeed, and Oran-chan kicks some serious butt!

Yup!
