Anya was currently back in Oscorp doing her job but took a lunch break to begin looking over a file on the genetically engineered spiders that got loose and bit Peter and Miles when someone sneaked up behind her.
"What's that?" Someone asked, scaring Anya as she jumped and turned to then face another one of the assistants who work there, Alana Jobson.
"Alana! What did we talk about?" Anya asked her after she calmed down. "Don't sneak up on me like that!"
"Oh, but I like to sneak up on you." Alana said disappointed at hearing it, but Anya could tell she wasn't serious. "So, what are you looking at?"
"Just looking at some old projects." Anya shrugged and showed it to Alana.
"Oh, yeah. I remember when this thing was put into development." Alana commented.
"Really?" Anya asked.
"Yeah, I was there when Dr. Connors conformed it was a possibility." Alana said. "Right along the experimental super enhancements serum."
"Wait, so who wanted the experiment?" Anya questioned, thinking this might help her a little.
"Malcom Merlyn." Alana remembered easily. "He said it was for some government contract, but now everyone is believing he just wanted super soldiers to do his bidding. Or wanted to enhance himself."
"Enhance himself?" Anya asked, not getting it.
"Oh, the DNA that was the genetic structure for most of the spiders were later discovered to have come from Merlyn himself. Without his DNA, the spiders only drove people insane. After that was discovered, they took that away and some of the newer spiders had O Negative blood, and that's when all the spiders that survived the experiments were destroyed against the Demons and Spider-Man." Alana answered as she flipped through Anya's file and showed her the page proofing everything she just said.
Anya then looked at the locations of the spiders and all of the Merlyn DNA spiders were only making people sick. Nobody survived the experiments without treatment.
And that's when a large question. Something she was determined to get an answer to.
"Hey, do we still keep files on the doctor exams for people in Queen Industries?" Anya asked her, not knowing if she wants to know.
"We still keep them, but I've been told they're a bit outdated. By about ten years." Alana answered her. "Why?"
"Think you can get me one?" Anya asked her, not answering the question.
"Uh...maybe. But you owe me big time." Alana promised her.
"Deal." Anya agreed, knowing whatever she wants, it can't be terrible.
"I'll be able to get it after Connors goes home, I can either give it to you same time tomorrow, or somewhere else." Alana assured her.
"You do know I'm not planning on stealing it." Anya promised her, just wanting to take a look.
"Okay, take the fun out of it why don't ya?" Alana asked softly. "Alright, who's file do you wanna see?"
Anya became very nervous, no idea how to say this, and finally is able to just say it. "Robert Queen."
While that was going on, Peter and Miles made it to the ferry just as it was leaving the port. They sent an anonymous tip to Yuri who was getting a squad ready to take him in when they returned to port.
The two of them landed on the side of the ferry, but Miles missed and was about to fall when Peter grabbed him and helped stick him to the side.
"Thanks." Miles said.
"Don't mention it." Peter said as they then released a new drone they've been developing: D.R.O.N.I. It was small enough to actually be able to stick to Peter's suit and when it's released, it looked sorta like a tiny spider.
The drone flew around, and they were listening to several different conversations, searching for their guys. And they heard a few interesting conversations on this ferry.
One guy seems to be cheating on his wife. Another is just a couple on a first date. A single mother and her sister with her baby.
And that's when they finally found their guys. "He's up front, main deck. I hate this guy."
"Just keep me posted." The other guy who's back is turned to the drone said.
"MJ, we need you to run facial recognition." Peter asked of her when the man turned to face him and they got a photo of his face.
"You got it. Searching his face now." MJ promised.
"Miles, do me a favor and keep an eye on this guy." Peter asked of him before crawling away towards the front of the boat.
"Got it." Miles promised as he stayed out of sight.
"Peter, you've got a text from your sister." MJ warned him. "Said you guys had made plans for lunch."
"Oh, right! I can't believe I forgot about that." Peter suddenly remembered as he smacked himself for forgetting. "Tell her well have to rain check. Make up some excuse."
"On it." MJ promises.
Peter made it to the front of the boat and saw a fire group of men and the guy from earlier meeting up with them. "Who's that girl on the left?"
MJ then did a scan of his face and came up with a result. "Names Kateri Deseronto. An agent gone rogue, who is now buying weapons. That can't be good. And the other guys are Herman Schultz and Chris Chernin. Man, these are all sounding like comic book characters Ned would tell us about."
"Red pickup truck." The man with the other guy said as the other guy with them walks off to find it.
"Miles, can you locate a pickup truck?" Peter asked of his partner.
"On it." Miles promised and crawled down into the car parking area where he crawled on the ceiling in order to stay invisible. "Wow, you'd think they were a bit more discrete." He then watched as the man inside the vehicle got out and uncovered an entire truck of weapons.
"Oh, now this is too perfect. We've got the dealers, buyers, and weapons all in the same place." Peter said with a joyous tone.
"What's our next move?" Miles asked and Peter watched as one of the men were handing the keys to the van to Chris.
"Time to intervene." Peter said as he raised his wrist. "I'll take those." He then webbed the keys away from them. "Yoink!" He then leaped down and stood in between them all. "Hey, everyone, the illegal weapons deal ferry was at 11:30. You missed it."
He then shot an experimental splitter web and then flipped around, pulling two of them with him and crashing into the sides of the ferry.
One of them drew a weapon, and Miles was fast as he came in leaping and kicked the Chris guy, sending him flying off the ferry. But before he could hit the water, Miles webbed him back and he slammed against the front of the ferry.
Peter watched in approval on what Miles did when his senses went off and he had to dodge a swing from Herman who now had a gigantic glowing fist. Okay, that's an over exaggeration, he had a gauntlet on his fist that he was gonna hit Peter with.
"Whoa, that's awesome gauntlet. Does it come in red?" Peter asks him before twisting his arm, not enough to break it, but enough to send him flying into the guard that shocked him.
"Why do you get to make all the quips?" Miles asked Peter as he webbed the gauntlet man down.
"Because I'm able to call them as I see them." Peter said happily while he raised his hand behind him, shooting a web connecting to the first two guys and yanked them across the front and slammed their heads against the side of the ferry. "You guys okay? That's my bad. That was a little hard." He then pushed the button on the web cartages and the empty container shot out of his arm, and he replaced it.
The one guy who was with the car then came charging down at them, and Miles saw him coming. "Oh, come on, dude. It's two against one." He then went to punch him, but then his arm started to feel tingly and he ended up zapping the man, knocking him down.
"What the hell was that?" Peter asked Miles, the two of them missing Adrian heading into the white van.
"I don't know, it's been happening a lot recently." Miles informed Peter, looking down at his hand, no idea what's been happening to him.
That's when both of them felt a buzz at the back of their heads and they turned to face where it's coming from just in time to see the Vulture's wings come ripping through the back of the van.
"What the-" miles was asking when the Vulture came charging down at them both, holding a weapon in his hands.
He shot at the two, bit both of them leaped out of the way of the blast. Vulture then grabbed one of the cars and tossed that at the two spider heroes.
"Watch out!" Mikes cried as Peter leaped out of its way and Miles ended up jumping on top of it before crawling up and leaping off it.
Vulture then dropped the car, it ending up pushing Chris underneath the ferry. He starts to gain altitude before blasting the weapon again, and the two noticed he wasn't aiming at them, bit down to the gauntlet boy.
"Get to the top deck, we're getting out of here!" Vulture said, and Peter suddenly felt like he knew that voice from somewhere.
Miles shot a web to Herman, but it was interrupted by the laser gun. "I'm starting to hate that thing."
"You get gloves, I'll get Big Bird." Peter tells Miles who chased after him as he shot a web to hit the Vulture's leg.
Vulture tried to break free of the webbing, but it turned out to be stronger than he was expecting. Peter on the other hand also expected the wings to not be able to handle his strength, but it seems they were. So in order to make sure he had more strength, he webbed the nearest car and connected the two of them, allowing the car to crash into a pillar.
Vulture then went to shoot Peter, but he leaped onto the second floor of the ferry and shot a second web at his foot, cutting him off from flying away.
Miles went running throughout the entire ferry towards Herman and the second he leaped into the air for the final blow, Herman turned around and charged the gauntlet up before punching Miles sending him flying through the ferry.
Peter then went in for his second attack on Vulture, but then Miles came through and sent both of them flying. Seems that Miles is invisible to Peter's senses.
Peter grabbed onto his unconscious spider-counterpart and then webbed onto Vulture to swing the two of them back where he dropped Miles who started to regain consciousness.
Vulture then used his wings and cut the webs connected to him. Miles tried to get back on his feet, but that gauntlet took a lot out of him, leaving Peter to stop him from escaping.
He shot a final attempt web and stopped him from getting away by shooting his gun head on. "Taser web!" Peter cried as his setting changed and he shot a electrical charged web to Vulture and caused his entire shot to begin shorting out.
In order to stop it from shorting out the wings, Vulture released the gun and it ended up sling shooting back to them and randomly firing everywhere.
Miles then decided to get up and shot at it, pinning it to the ground before shooting it down to where it was completely covered in webbing.
"You're messing with things you don't understand!" Vulture informed them both, and Peter swears he knew that voice.
And before they could go after him, the gun went off again, and instead of one beam, it went off in all directions, cutting the entire ferry.
Inside, the people ran to get out of the way of the beam and been Herman got away on the Vulture's back.
Peter and Miles stood on opposite sides of the scorch mark, wondering if anything's gonna happen.
"I think we're good." Miles said, laughing at it as if dozens of lives weren't just put in danger.
Peter on the other hand was less enthusiastic and angrier at hearing him say those words. "You're not a movie buff, are you?"
"Not really, why?" Miles asked when suddenly they see water explode for, the middle of the ferry and start to head down the crack. "Oh. I get it now."
Peter facepalms himself as the entire ferry began to split in half. "Okay, we need to work fast. MJ, give me X-Ray of the boat and we'll target all the strongest points."
Both of their visits then switched from clear vision to an X-ray, giving them a clear vision of all the points they need to web, as well as the people screaming in terror.
Peter quickly swung off and Miles followed after him, webbing two of the strongest points from each of the sides in order to keep them together as best they can.
The two went flipping, leaping, swinging throughout the entire ferry, doing their best to keep it from flooding and stopped on the other end of the boat.
"Did...did we do it?" Miles asked.
"Looks like we did." Peter confirmed.
"Yeah, Spider-Man!" Some fan in the ferry cheered and began clapping and the ferry seemed to be able to handle it.
Peter and Miles were feeling a little pride in them both on their accomplishment on saving all of their lives and keeping all of the Vulture's weapons out of criminal hands. But it was demeaned when they realize that this mess was caused by them.
And to make things worse, the Vulture's still out there.
