BGM: Where is The Hope? (Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of An Elusive Age)
"Quickly, this way!" Bookwyrm waved over to a group of refugees while his fellow monsters were on guard just in case if some Grimm would come along. Luckily, there weren't any as they headed inside.
"Amazing how you're willing to let human outsiders dwell within our community walls." A Skullrider said.
"I'm willing to extend an olive branch." Bookwyrm said.
"Heeey, Bookwyrm!" A voice called out as the Professaurus turned to see Bowsette approaching.
"Lady Bowsette!" Bookwrym smiled warmly as he saw the others. "Lady Rei-" He let out a small grumble. "Cinder…" He mumbled.
"Still upset?" Cinder asked.
"Lady Bowsette may have taken a shining to you, but I'm not. Considering you had made Lady Marnie cry after she brought you into her home, only for her to realize you could have killed her after she showed you hospitality? If you weren't working as the head chef, I'd kill you myself. No one makes our lady punk cry."
"Ah geez, you're becoming more of Team Yell all the time…" Cinder sweatdropped.
"We are nothing like those rapscallions. If you make one of the Koopa Troop cry, then we're all against you."
I swear, Neo probably put you up to this. Cinder thought.
Bookwyrm cleared his throat. "Anyway, welcome heroes. I imagine Toad Town and your respective homes have been misplaced by the Grimm?"
"Not that we're aware of, but the Grimm activity is getting more and more insane. It's usually not this bad." Summer said.
"Indeed, i've never seen such a horrid outbreak." Bookwyrm said. "I can see that you have questions, so please, come right this wa-" He felt an eye piercing gaze from Laxus.
"Is it true that you don't accept humans into this village?" He asked, electricity coursing through his body.
Bookwyrm paled. "Now now, we don't have any issues with humans, per se… it's just that it's policy that only monsters and Koopa Troop are allowed in here, hence why Lady Marnie and Master Umber are very much welcome here. Weiss and Blake are allowed only by appointment in case they need to practice their magic."
"And what about those who happen to be dating a member of the Koopa Troop?"
"At first, I was against it, but seeing as how much she makes Lady Marnie happy, then I allowed Gloria in, then before I knew it, the twins made their way inside when she came to visit Master Umber… and believe me, I do not want to argue with psychics."
"In short, he's afraid of Yagami." Xena smiled.
"I am not!" He said as Yagami took over.
"Boo."
"EEEP!" Bookwyrm lost all color in his body while sweating nervously. "L-L-Lady Ya-Ya-Yagami, how good to s-s-see you!"
"Wow, I've never seen him so pale." Bowsette said.
"He just can't handle my awesome personality." Yagami smiled.
"Is that what we're going with?"
Umber rolled his eyes. "Ah, my girls… what am I gonna do with these two knuckleheads."
"Wi-with all due respect, La-Lady Yagami… ca-can you back to the ni-nice one?"
Yagami rolled her eyes. "Your policy sucks dick, so i'm ignoring it."
Bookwyrm sweatdropped. "I was afraid of that."
"And you better start accepting humans and Faunus that are not part of the Koopa Troop." She narrowed her eyes. "You wouldn't want to make me angry, would you?"
Bookwyrm sweated nervously. "N-No! I wouldn't want to make you angry! In fact, I'll do it as soon as this crisis is over!"
Yagami smiled. "Good."
"Yeesh, the way she's acting, it's like she's part of the Koopa Troop…" Epsilon said with a sweatdrop.
Laxus let out a laugh. "Nora, you always told me Yagami's a riot. I can see why now."
"Told ya~!"
Bowsette shook her head. "Goodness…" She chuckled.
A few minutes later, at Marnie's apartment…
"So, the reason you guys are here is because Princess Peach has been kidnapped and you believe Lord Bowser kidnapped her in the middle of the night." Bookwyrm said.
"Yes." Ruby nodded.
"Personally, I do not blame you for coming to that conclusion considering hardly anyone else captures the fair princess." Bookwyrm said. "However, we were not aware of this kidnapping."
"Yeah, because, as I said earlier, my bro dedicated this week to spending time with his son." Bowsette explained. "So, either Peach decided to go for an early morning walk and got sidetracked, and Toadsworth just forgot or someone else kidnapped her."
"Seems like a possibility." Mario nodded.
"So when did this Grimm outbreak start anyway?" Cloud asked, leaning on a wall.
"About a week ago, like… a day after you guys saved Peach." Bowsette said.
"Wow, was Bowser really that sore?" Daisy snarked.
"Not really, he just shook it off like no big deal. The next day, however, a few of our scouts noticed an unusually large group of Beowolves in the Kingdom. We thought nothing of it as they took care of the Grimm… and then the next thing we know, we started seeing Grimm Koopas and Shy Guys. At first, it just started in our neck of the woods, but apparently it's been spreading rapidly."
"Yeah, at the start of our adventure, we saw a Grimm Tailed Goomba." Ibuki explained. "Hell, Chiaki-chan mentioned she saw a Grimm Cheep Cheep, and we were just out of Toad Town when it happened."
"The gamer girl spotted one just out of town?" Cinder raised an eyebrow. "That's concerning…"
"Speaking of Chiaki, where is she… and while we're at it, Luigi?" Rei spoke up.
"Luigi was growing very suspicious of the abnormally large Grimm sightings, so he decided to take matters in his own hands and went off to investigate, Chiaki went with him as backup." Tifa explained. "They haven't come back yet."
"Not only that, but Daisy-chan and Ibuki have been trying to call them but we just immediately get their voicemails." Ibuki said. "She's starting to get worried…"
Bowsette grimaced. "That's bad news…" She glanced over at Oran, Kala and Carmen. "By the way, who's the plus three?"
"The little guy is Oran, he's been living in the wild ever since he was three. A large King Taijitu made sure of that. Kala found him and raised him as if he was her own son." Raven said.
"Oh, that's adorable." Bookwyrm smiled as Rei shyly looked at the duo. Oran looked at her and gave her a friendly wave and a warm smile, which was enough to make her look away.
He's so cute… curse my crippling shyness! She thought.
"Name's Carmen. I'm a Warrior of Light. Nice to meet ya!" Carmen smiled.
Bowsette chuckled. "Charmed." She then looked over at Ruby. "Hey, Rubes? You okay? You don't look so hot."
"Um… well, I've just been on edge for a long while."
"You know how she goes Zinogre? She gained a side effect to where her senses increased and she's gained an animalistic instinct." Yang explained. "It's helpful, but ever since we got here, she's been stressed."
"Well, not that I blame her, the Grimm are all over the place." Bookwyrm said.
"Yeah, and not only that, but Dark Ruby is back into play." Byleth said.
"Dark Ruby… Dark Ruby…" Bowsette rubbed her chin. "Wait, as in the bitch I've been hearing about? The same one that's been making Ruby's life miserable?"
"That's the one." Dark Pit nodded.
"Oh dear…" Rei whispered.
Bowsette closed her eyes, folding her arms. "The Grimm activity has skyrocketed, Dark Ruby is back in play… Peach, Chiaki and Luigi are missing… could it all be connected?"
"We need to finish the job…" Ruby said as she stood up. "We need to go to Bowser's Castle and ask him if Peach is with him."
"Hmm, well, I can assure you, Peach isn't with us." Bowsette said. "Buuuut, I wouldn't put it past Bowser if he got a wild hair and kidnapped her to scratch that itch, then proceeded to spend time with Junior… gods, this whole week has been weird."
Bookwyrm heard footsteps nearby as he turned his head to see Captain Slime escorting another family inside. "More stragglers?"
"Yes." Captain Slime nodded and then saw the group. "Oh, hello everyone! Master Umber, nice to see you." He then spotted Yagami. "And Lady Yagami, a pleasure!"
"Is everyone here scared of you?" Jade asked.
"Pffft, nah, he's just being respectful." Yagami waved it off.
"Indeed. I am not as scared of her as Bookwyrm is."
Bookwyrm sweatdropped. "I am not scared of her, I'm just… respectfully keeping my distance from her." He said, stiffening the moment he made eye contact with her.
"That's both hilarious and sad…" Iris shook her head with a small chuckle.

"LADY MARNIE! LAAAADY MARNIIIIE!" A voice cried as everyone turned their heads to see a tank drifting a corner and charging through the streets.
"Wow, look at him! Is he auditioning for Tokyo Drift 2?" Caboose asked.
"Don't be ridiculous, Caboose. That's not going to be a thing." Tucker said.
"A Need for Speed sequel then?"
Bowsette got in front and held her arms in front of her, stopping the tank as she slid several feet while digging her heels in the ground, creating a few ditches in the ground. "Augh… we just added new cement a few days ago…" Bookwyrm groaned.
"What's the hurry, General?" Bowsette asked as General Guy popped out of the tank.
"It's awful! Lady Marnie's airships were empty when they came back on autopilot!"
"Yeah, that was me." Umber spoke up. "We found their airships on our journey to the Koopa Kingdom overridden by Grimm, so we took care of them and I brought them back via autopilot."
"...You wouldn't have happened to see Team Yell at all, would you?" General Guy asked, then looked at the heroes. "How about you? Gloria, when was the last time you spoke with your girlfriend?"
"I was just texting her before I went to bed last night and I told her I'd be coming to see her today." Gloria explained before a pit in her stomach overwhelmed her, her eyes widening in horror. "...Oh no…"
"So you didn't see her… oooh, this is terrible." General Guy grimaced behind his mask. "Lady Marnie, Lord Piers and Team Yell have gone missing!"
BGM: Danger! There's Trouble! (Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Team DX)
"What? No, that can't be right… I saw Marnie early this morning." Bowsette said.
"With all due respect, m'lady, you tend to go on long shopping trips with your wife and Cinder. So something could've happened to her during your shopping spree in Neo Bowser City!"
Rei's eyes widened. "He's right! There's no telling what could've happened to her or the rest of Team Yell, and on top of that, the Koopa Troop have been disappearing because of this Grimm outbreak!"
"Shit…" Bowsette growled. "Then we need to inform my brother… because this is starting to worry me."
"I'll lead the charge. The rest of you can come with or stay here!" General Guy said. "...That said, Ruby, you look like you need to take a nap. You look stressed!"
"I'm fine. Let's just get to Bowser's Castle." She said as everyone looked at her in concern before nodding.
"Let's go!" Captain Slime exclaimed.
"I will stay here and welcome the refugees. You go on ahead!" Bookwyrm said as they nodded, and then took off.
As they kept running, they would see a ghost house overhead. "Nope, we are skipping that!" Cloud said.
"He's right, we can't sight see and hang out with 'em. Sorry, Rei!" Bowsette said.
"Oh, it's fine!" Rei nodded as they hurried ahead as they saw a fortress up ahead.
"How fast can we book it through that fortress?" Byleth asked.
"We'll give it a shot!" General Guy said.

World 8-5: Hurry!
BGM: Mt. Bristle (Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time/Darkness/Sky)
As soon as they entered the fortress, they were immediately greeted with Grimm Parabuzzies and Paragoombas, dive bombing them where the Parabuzzies fired spikes at them, forcing them to dodge while General Guy fired Bullet Bills at them to destroy them, then they kept going where they saw flip panels ahead.
"Flip panels?! Oh, you're kidding me!" Jaune complained.
"Nothing we can't handle!" Weiss said as they jumped between the flip panels while at the same time, Grimm Bills came charging at them but Bowsette and Laxus punched the Grimm Bills away, sending them into the Bill Blasters where they exploded, then they climbed up a pole.
"Activating thrusters!" General Guy said as thrusters underneath his tank ignited and lifted itself up, landing near the top of the pole as they kept going, jumping between the panels while Grimm Rocky Wrenches threw Bob-ombs and wrenches, only to get annihilated when Gloria used Psybeam on them in her Latias form, then Shovel Knight shoveled a straggler that had survived the initial Psybeam attack.
They quickly jumped over crumbling platforms and they would see Grimm Banzai Bills charging them, only to get destroyed when Cinder and Raven used their maiden powers to destroy them, then Maia used her semblance to push a Grimm Banzai Bill into another one, causing a massive explosion as they jumped between the flip panels before finding the flagpole up ahead as they jumped between platforms, as Bowsette jumped over a Grimm Rocky Wrench and took the flagpole for herself.
"Woo!" She smiled as she slid down and dusted her hands off. "...Wait, this doesn't feel right." She turned around and sheepishly scratched the back of her head. "Whoops…"
"Got caught up in the moment?" Yang teased.
"A little bit… but never mind that, let's get to that castle!" Bowsette said as they took off running.

World 8-Bowser's Castle: The Truth
Bowser stood still, narrowing his eyes at his son where Junior was ready for it. Kamek was right behind Junior as he nodded at Bowser. With a smirk, Bowser threw an unlit Bob-omb at Junior.
Junior smirked, readying his paintbrush as he gave a mighty swing and hit the Bob-omb, launching it high into the air where it soared past the castle walls. "And it's a home run! Wooooo! The crowd goes wild!" He cheered as Roman, Neo, the captains and the Koopalings clapped for him.
"That's my boy!" Bowser said proudly as he walked over and gave his son a hug. "You're getting better at this! Now let's work on your pitch!"
"Right!" Junior nodded as they switched places as Junior picked up a baseball as he got into position. Just like how his aunt taught him, it's all within his body weight! He smirked. "TAKE THI-"
"Lord Bowser!" A Koopatrol came running in. "You have company, sir!"
"I do? What seems to-" Mario was the first one to jump into the scene. "Mario?!"
"Hello, Bowser." Mario greeted as everyone else ran in.
"...What's going on? I didn't kidnap the princess!" Bowser said.
"Peach has gone missing." Bowsette explained. "They think you probably did it."
Bowser raised an eyebrow. "Now why would I do that? Even if I had gotten a wild hair, I would've ignored it just to spend time with Junior. My whole week is booked!" He would then notice Luigi missing. "...Where's Green 'Stache?"
One explanation later…
"Hmm…" Bowser folded his arms. "So, Peach goes missing, you assume that I'm responsible, not that I blame you, the Grimm population is going all over the place, Green 'Stache and Gamer Girl went off to investigate but they haven't been responding to phone calls… and you also believe Marnie is missing."
"Yeah, that's the gist of it." Yang nodded.
"Is Marnie okay?" Gloria asked.
"BWAHAHAHAHAHA!" Bowser laughed. "Don't worry about it, she and Team Yell are perfectly fine. While it is concerning that her airships were hijacked, they're actually safe." He said.
"What's all the racket?" A voice asked as they turned to see Piers walking over with Marnie by his side.
"Marn!" Gloria exclaimed and then before Marnie knew it, she happily glomped her.
"Whoa!" Marnie yelped. "What's with you? You're actin' like I've gone missin'."
"Well, yeah, your airships were hijacked by Grimm!" Umber pointed out.
"Again? That's the third time this week…" Marnie mumbled. "Of course, they happen to hijack it when I'm engaging in a gym battle at Spikemuth."
"Is that why you were panicking?" Kamek asked General Guy.
General Guy blushed a deep red. "I… uh… well…" He reached in his walkie talkie. "Abort mission. I repeat, abort rescue mission. They're fine!"
"Copy that!"
"So wait, why are you guys here? We didn't even kidnap Peach yet." Marnie said.
Another explanation later…
Marnie blinked. "That is concerning, and totally understandable why you would think Lord Bowser would kidnap Peach, but I can assure you, we didn't do anything to her."
"See? I had a feeling we didn't schedule a kidnapping." Umber said. "Besides, even I would've been in on it."
Piers chuckled. "Come on, if it makes you feel any better, we'll show you the cells."
One trip into the dungeons later…
"See? They're empty." Bowser said. "We didn't kidnap anyone." He then let out a deep throaty growl. "That said, if someone had the audacity to kidnap Peach without my approval, there's going to be hell to pay."
"Sire, we talked about your language in front of the prince. He's starting to repeat what you said." Kamek advised.
"...My bad."
"INTRUDER ALERT!"
"SOMEONE STOP THAT ROBOT!"
"Huh?" Ibuki turned her head as everyone turned to hear some crashing and banging against the stairwell until BB-8 came crashing down. He let out a few annoyed chirps as a result while shaking his head.
"BB-8?! What's he doing here?!" Grif asked.
"BB-chan!" Ibuki smiled as BB-8 perked up and beeped happily, rushing over to the group and then started frantically beeping in front of Ibuki.
"Whoa, slow down! Beep slowly!" Weiss said.
BB-8 continued to chirp in frantic, yet slower beeps as Ibuki's eyes widened.
"Chiaki-chan and Luigi-chan need assistance?!"
A few chirps in confirmation.
"Oh no…"
At that moment, Ruby suddenly stiffened. Her face went pale, sweat started to roll down her face as her body trembled, her heart raced, her pupils shrunk in fear as her breathing quickened.
She hadn't felt this way since the first time they were at the Observatory. There was no doubt about it.
She's here.
"Ruby? Ruby!" Byleth's voice was distant to her but she snapped out of once Byleth put her hands on her shoulder. "Sis, are you okay?"
"Sh-.. she's… she's here…" She forced out.
Sarge pumped his shotgun. "Everyone, form a perimeter around her on the double! I don't care if she told that clown she's not afraid of that bitch, she's not getting close to her!" He said as everyone, including Bowser and his group formed a perimeter around her.
They could hear intense sadistic giggling and laughter as the lights suddenly went out. "My word!" Kamek exclaimed.
"This is trouble…" General Guy said as Marnie's cybernetic eyes went green, entering night vision mode.
Where are you… Marnie thought as she looked around, shifting her eyes.
Deep breath… deep breath! Ruby thought, closing her eyes as she attempted to control her breathing. She opened her eyes… and saw a figure in front of her, already delivering a solid punch to her face. "Gah!" She yelped, as she was launched to a wall.
"Ruby!" Pit yelled as the lights came back on, revealing Grimm Ruby.
BGM: Before Boss Battle (Kirby Triple Deluxe)
"Hello~!" Grimm Ruby smiled.
"YOU!" Sarge growled. "Looks like you decided to go full Grimm this time!" He fired his shotgun but Grimm Ruby aimed her hand and formed a small barrier before the bullets hit her.
"Nice to see all of you, especially the ones who I haven't met yet." She glanced over at Summer who was looking rather furious. "Ah, hello mother."
"Petulant brat…" Summer spat.
Ruby got back up, seeing Grimm Ruby in front of her and whimpered. She had no idea that her dark counterpart decided to become a full fledged Grimm. However, it quickly dawned on her. Grimm?
"Hey… ugly…" Ruby spoke up. "You think you're all that because you're a Grimm?"
"Damn straight. What you gonna do about it?" Grimm Ruby disappeared in front of everyone's eyes and appeared just outside of the perimeter, walking toward Ruby.
"This." Ruby smirked, closing her eyes before opening them with determination and unleashed her silver eyes on her.
Pause BGM
"AAAAAAAAAAAAARGH!" She cried out as Summer joined in and used her Silver Eyes as well.
Once both lights faded, she was nowhere to be found. Ruby smirked. "Good riddance."
"Just kidding~!"
Resume BGM
Ruby stiffened, as Grimm Ruby was behind her as the latter slashed her away. "Rrrgh! …How?!"
"Your little trick won't work on me this time~ You wanna know why? I've grown immune to it!"
"Ahahahahaha!" Dimentio appeared before them. "You can thank me for giving her a massive upgrade! Your precious silver eyes won't work on Grimm Ruby!"
"No… no way…" Ruby whimpered.
"Word on the street is that you're no longer afraid of me. Hmm, it seems as if that lingering fear of yours is a massive bitch~" Grimm Ruby said sadistically. "Oh, and before I forget." She snapped her fingers as everyone found themselves wrapped up in Grimm tentacles. "Now then, let's resume where we left off-" She flashed her claws. "Shall we~?"
Byleth growled. Not going to happen! She thought as she immediately activated her Divine Pulse. I'm not going to let her get tormented by her. NOT THIS TIME! She declared as she started to rewind time.
"And just what do you think you're doing?"
Byleth stiffened, turning around and seeing Grimm Ruby standing near her. "What?! How did you-"
"Oh, you don't know? Let's rewind it back, shall we?"
"It reminded me of all the times I've watched my students die… and even though I rewound time to stop their deaths, I can still hear their screams… their calls for help before they got executed. And I'm afraid that the same thing will happen again just like with my father…"
"Byleth…"
"And… the worst part is that I didn't use it to stop you from being tormented by Dark Ruby… I know I said I was over it and how you forgave me when I didn't know what kind of monster she truly was… but all the screams, yours especially… it… it's all just too much!"
Behind a gravestone, Dimentio was listening to it all. "Interesting…" He mused with a smirk before disappearing. "Oh Dark Ruby~! You're not going to believe what I had just heard~!"
Byleth's eyes widened. "No!"
"That's right, he overheard your conversation with the brat, so he decided to give me the ability to counter your Divine Pulse! That's right, I can come in and prevent you from using your goddess powers!"
Byleth pulled out the Sword of the Creator. "In that case, i'll just have to destroy yo myself!" She said as she slashed at Grimm Ruby, but she casually shadow stepped out of the way.
"Go ahead and cry like the crybaby that you are… because I'm in control, BITCH!" Grimm Ruby fired a massive point blank dark laser that pierced right through Byleth.
"AAAAAAAGH!" She screamed as she was launched out of her divine pulse and smacked into a cell. "Nnngh!"
"Byleth?!" Dorothea yelled in surprise. "What happened?!"
"She… she… she found a way to counter… Divine Pulse…!"
"WHAT?!" Yang yelled.
"Ahahahaha, you're welcome!" Dimentio laughed.
Grimm Ruby teleported, grabbing Ruby by the throat. "Now where were we?" She smirked.
"There's… there's one thing I want to know… where's Luigi and Chiaki…?" Ruby demanded.
"Oh, those two? I disposed of them~"
"YOU WHAT?!" Ibuki yelled. "You massive son of a…" She growled, desperately trying to get out of the Grimm tentacles she was in as a deep burning rage swelled up within Mario and Daisy, even Marnie and Neo were starting to burn with anger.
"That is ENOUGH!" Summer yelled, phasing through the tentacles as Rei got out as well, while Bowsette, Bowser and Laxus tore through the tentacles, where Rosalina teleported out as they charged at her.
"My, will the interruptions never cease?" Grimm Ruby asked as Dimentio snapped his fingers as boxes surrounded the six but Rei and Summer phased out and Rosalina teleported out, where Summer summoned two swords as she slashed at Grimm Ruby.
CLANG!
Until Ghirahim popped in and blocked the attack effortlessly. "Ah ah ah!" Ghirahim smirked as Rei clapped her hands and fired Will O Wisps at Ghirahim, but he blocked them as well, while Dimentio teleported to Rosalina and fired point blank magic at her to knock her away.
"You're with me." Dimentio smirked as Rosalina scowled at him.
The boxes exploded behind them, but the trio shook it off and the Bowser siblings breathed fire at Grimm Ruby, while Laxus fired lightning bolts but she disappeared with Ruby in tow. "I love to stay and chat, but I've got a little date with this faker." She chuckled as she glanced into the crowd and spotted Dark Pit who was glaring at her. Oh~ She smirked.
"Don't you even THINK about-" Summer growled.
"Ta ta for now~!" Grimm Ruby smiled, and in the blink of an eye, they were gone as the Grimm Tentacles disappeared.

"What just happened?!" Carmen asked as Kala was comforting a scared Oran. The mere sight of her terrified him.
"Guys? Where's Pittoo?!" Pit asked in horror.
"Ruby…" Summer would say as it would soon dawn on her, her eyes widening in horror. "No… no no no no no…" She quickly flew away.
"Summer, wait!" Raven exclaimed as Summer quickly flew out of the castle and desperately turned her head to search for Ruby and Grimm Ruby.
"Ruby? Ruby!" She called out, a horrified feeling coming over her. "RUUUUUUUUUUUUUBYYYYYY!"
Meanwhile…
Toadsworth drank some tea. "Ah, nothing like some tea to calm my nerves." He said as the front door opened up.
"We're back~!" A voice chirped happily as Toadsworth turned around to see Peach, LttP Zelda and Urbosa walking in.
"Your highness! It's so good to see you!" Toadsworth smiled. "Ah, Princess Zelda and Lady Urbosa. Good to see you as well. I suppose you two had beaten Master Mario and his friends from the nefarious Bowser."
"Huh?" Peach tilted her head. "No, I wasn't kidnapped, I was in Hyrule hiding away from the blizzard. Remember? Zelda texted me that she felt bad that I was cooped up in a blizzard, and I mentioned I wish I was away from it. So she came over and took me to Hyrule where it was warmer. I even told you this."
